I have a cat (Tess) that avoids human handling, so keeping her hair knots under control is a problem. On 27 Nov 18, I went to EAH to get help to remove some large knots/mats on her back near her tail. Of course, the cat fights like a wild cat when I try to trim the hair knots, but she was an angel for Dr. Barnard. The whole process took about 10 minutes and very reasonably priced. EAH is my “go to” place for pet health problems.

It's hard to tell this sad tale and not cry..my best friend a wiener dog named Missy and just 10 we fished on our boat together her eyes had so much love in them. Two yrs ago she was took in due to some weight loss the youngest Yates said she was a diabetic shot given and 2 shots at home I begged my husband don't give her that shot I know that young vet was wrong. My Missy died a horrible death me at her side..Fast forward I have a 3 yr old Porky from some reason my husband took her to the same place this Sam young vet said epilepsy. I called office to get her back in i asked this lady Am I going to be charged another damn 200 they were the reason i lost my precious Missy. She yells dont cuss me i never cussed her a cussed saying another 200 .seems she blocked phone BUT my husband called to find out this younger Yates never even ran blood work on her,her name is foxy she has something wrong with her skin she scratches bites licks almost continually at time no fleas she is going back now with older vet.I have had dealing with them when Dr Gore was there so I am not picking on them THEY DON'T CARE now

No emergency services here. They used to be my family's go to vet service and we've spent thousands of dollars here over the years. I can remember being a child and certain vets from this clinic would come to the farm and help their patrons. After the recent tone and harshness of the receptionist ready to go home after hours, I have made my decision to seek services elsewhere.

We had to take our cat over when she started to act very sick. They were quick to get us back and took very good care of my cat. They were so friendly and kind. Would not hesitate to take her back

All of the vets here have been amazing. I had to put my girl down and they couldn't have done anything better.

These guys are some of the best people that you’ll find anywhere. They provide exceptional care to their patients and they treat you like family. At the same time, their staff have a great sense of humor, which is a very desirable trait in my book... :) Top marks for EAH! Thanks for being awesome. :)

I'd give them zero stars if I could - absolutely the WORST experience at a vet I've ever had. In summary, mistreatment of my dog, incorrect diagnosis, inadequate medicine, and poor treatment plan. I typically go to another vet, but she was in surgery all day, so I went to EAH. I saw Dr. Nall, who was inconsiderate and rude - he did not introduce himself, barged in the room and grabbed my dog by the tail for a temperature and fecal sample, and dragged his rear around to do it. My dog is over 100lbs and a working dog (think search and rescue)... he would easily have turned around and stood still for an exam. Dr. Nall proceeded to grab the leash from my hand demanding x-rays. I had to yell at Dr. Nall for him to even stop and talk to me. Dr. Nall had to do x-rays twice because he under-exposed the first set. He told me the films were completely normal. He gave me some oral medication and told me that would fix the dog's vomiting. He didn't have a good answer when I asked him how the dog was supposed to keep pills down when he kept vomiting... Dr. Nall said well I guess I better give him a shot. You think?!? The symptoms continued, and I finally was able to see my vet. She looked at the x-rays and found a kidney sized object in his gut. Dr. Nall missed a kidney sized object on x-ray. It's bigger than my fist on x-ray. Don't take your dog here if there's something serious. It's not worth the trauma to the dog or the owner.

We successfully used this clinic for years, as a teen I shadowed Dr. Bailey on numerous occasions, our horses, dogs, rabbits, and every strange critter in between came here. They lost our business last night. A veterinarian or healthcare provider of any sort must be, above all, compassionate and understanding. This clinic has lost sight of that and it caused extreme distress to my family. My mother's dog was a large breed elderly dog with no major health problems, so when she began panting heavily around 7:00 p.m. my mother quickly called the on call vet, who assured her without a shadow of a doubt that it was nothing more than aches and pains from arthritis, a condition that the dogs usual vet had never diagnosed. Relieved, my mother went to bed. Her companion of ten years died in the night, and my mother awoke devastated and without support due to the vets recommendation and lazy, uncaring, assessment of the dogs condition. However, this is not the point where the clinic will be in my eyes forever unwelcome, it occurs after my mother drives to the police station at 4:00 a.m., finds an incredibly kind police officer who lifted the dogs body into her car so that she could take it to the clinic to have it cremated. When she arrived, the body of our family member in the back of her car, and the same, uncaring veterinarian was on his telephone, having what appeared to be a personal conversation. He did not put his phone down until he had reached her car and walked around it. All the while she was in her car, waiting on the man, having a Skype call with her husband over 5,000 miles away trying to explain what had happened. This lack of empathy is unforgivable and this clinic is lost a customer of over 14 years. Our dog, Aspen, was family and yesterday, Elizabethtown Animal Hospital made it clear that we were not apart of its family of clients.

The veterinarians and staff are very helpful, I've taken every animal I've had here. From my first dog to my current one, they are very knowledgeable on varying breeds. When I had to have my dog Jasmine put down it was unexpected but the veterinarian was very helpful on making the tough decision. After her passing, I received a s sympathy card from them which was really appreciated. My current pup, Remington has gone here from the start and he loves the staff who are very gentle and kind with him.

Excellent! The Veterinarian was straight forward and friendly. I have a usually fractious cat and Dr. Bailey handled her expertly without added stress. I highly recommend this Vet clinic.

The dr. Whobry was very fast at giving the shots to my fur babies...... how ever the receptionists are very very rude.... I called to ask about my dogs booster shots when she asked what it was for I told her I thought it was for the rabies vaccination and her words exactly were very rudely, snappy , and said with a bitchy attitude...."noo... it wouldn't be that...." we went through the process of names and information and she told me what it would be for.... buy the point is...... you may have had a bad morning but you shouldn't have such a grumpy attitude... all I was doing was asking a question. Thanks and have a great day...

My pets are regular patients at the E'town Animal Hospital. I am very satisfied with the service I get there. I want to give a special "Thanks" to Betty Jo, who helped me very much the last time I took my dog there. She was very friendly, and she went out of her way to help me choose the best course of treatment regarding my elderly dog's teeth. Betty Jo actually took my dog back to have the vet examine his teeth, brought him back out and explained to me what the vet felt he needed to do. That way, I was able to make a more informed decision - rather than committing to any unneeded treatment. I didn't expect her to do that - but I sure did appreciate it!!! I recommend EAH to anyone who wants professional, friendly service at a reasonable price.

My dog was clipped by a car yesterday. I arrived promptly when they opened, and they took me straight back. My dog was able to walk after the accident, but they took such great care of him. They didn't do any unnecessary tests and Dr. Ben Yates gave me his suggestions on how to go further. They expect him to make a full recovery. Their prices are the best in town. The only thing I would have liked more is if they told me they were running an ultrasound on him, but even with the ultrasound and three medications, it came out to less than $150. I'm so thankful I didn't have to break the bank to get my dog checked out after being hit by a car. I'm also very thankful that Dr. Yates gave me his best ideas and plans without forcing me to go through a bunch of tests he saw as unnecessary. I will be taking all of my pets here from now on!

Been taking my furbabies here for years, affordable and always doing what's right for your pets

They are good for almost everything but spaying my female dog, they let her walk out still doped up and she should have been carried she was only 10lbs and she had poop all over her and they didn’t clean her or pick her up like they did the rest of the dogs like why can they pick up a Labrador but not a jack tussle I was very mad that day and will never get a dog fixed there ever again they are good about everything else though.

Been using this facility since we moved in the area back in 2002. Everyone has been more than helpful. Recently, our little boy chihuahua passed away and the vet, Dr. Nall was very sympathetic and helpful. This clinic is a busy place especially on Mondays but well worth the wait for the quality of care and reasonable prices.

I've been going here since I moved back from Georgia when I was stationed down there at Ft Benning. I was worried about finding a good vet for my little boy Ravage when my brother had told me about E-Town Animal Hospital. Every time I have gone there, they have been very kind, respectful and loving to the animals. I have since taken another kitty Atlas there for an initial check up, neuter, and one time when he was sick I got the medicine I needed and a shot to give the meds a booster. I am about to take my wife and I's GSD there for a spay and I know they will do a great job.

My dog died this morning because EAH decided not to do emergent care services anymore. They send everyone to Blue Pearl in Louisville. Well, blue pearl didn’t answer the phone at 6am this morning either. Their voicemail actually says we’ll call you back at our earliest convenience. No one called me back... even almost 12 hours later. No one called me back after the voicemail I left EAH this morning either. My dog died on the way to Louisville. Beware pet owners, they stopped doing overnight care and so did Heartland. If you have a true emergent situation like I did, your dog may not survive the long trip. I’ve been a customer to this vet clinic for over 20 years and never had one complaint till now. Why would you ever take away emergent care? In what world can a true energency survive 30 minute plus drive to Louisville.

We have used Elizabethtown Animal Hospital for all of our animals (indoor and outdoor) over the last few years. Everyone is pleasant and very easy to work with. We recently rescued 2 small kittens and decided to keep them indoors. We took the kittens in for a checkup and first shots. Dr Jeremy Yates examined our babies and found that one had worms and one had ear mites. We were given treatments for both. The next day, our youngest baby started to become more lethargic. When we arrived home that evening, we decided to take him to an "emergency" vet in Louisville. We were dissatisfied with the service and cost of that clinic. We decided to follow up with our vet at Etown Animal Hospital the next morning. We returned the next day and were fortunate enough to see Dr Yates again. He examined our baby again. He was very thorough and explained we could do a feline leukemia test for diagnostic purposes, but explained the treatment for leukemia is symptom management. Dr Yates gave us the option to forego the testing and treat his symptoms. He injected a small amount of fluids subcutaneous, in hopes of helping him feel better over the weekend. He provided us with nutrient dense food to offer the best nutrition during his sickness. Dr Yates was very patient and explained that our baby should perk up over the weekend. He encouraged us to return for further testing if no change over the weekend. 2 days later, our baby is up playing and doing great! Above all, the vet did not do unnecessary testing. The cost was very reasonable! Dr Yates was very honest with possible outcomes and very thorough about next steps. We greatly appreciate Dr Jeremy Yates and the entire staff for everything they did to help our baby. We would highly recommend Elizabethtown Animal Hospital!!

We moved to Elizabethtown 4 weeks ago from Atlanta, GA. Not only did we not know anyone in E'town, we didn't know anyone in the state of Kentucky. Unfortunately, we had to have my 16 year old dog put down. The entire staff, from the receiptionist to the vet, were amazing! We honestly could not have asked for a better experience during such a tough time. Thank you to the staff at Elizabethtown Animal Hospital. We know Bob is going to be in no pain in doggy heaven. Took my Female young dog ( 1 yr old ) in to have a growth on her right ear flap evaluated. Evaluation was determined to be a benign growth which would require general anesthesia and a red spot on her abdomen the size of a dime which would require an antibiotic. Doctor Ben Yates checked with the Surgery department and found they could work her in that day which was very convenient for me which I agreed to. Called approximately 5PM that evening to check on her progress and she was ready to be picked up. I drove there and after paying the bill which was very reasonable and getting post operative medication which was explained thoroughly, I drove home with a strong feeling of having had a good day at my very professional and courteous veteinary clinic. Should I need any assistance in the future I will gladly use this clinic. I am able to comfortably give them a five star rating after this experience. Great place to take my loved one for health issue. Thank you Richard Miller

Not sure if the vet I saw was new, but our experience this last Friday led to use losing a loved member of our family. Our Blue Heeler was young, healthy, and full of energy. We have brought a few of our dogs here and it's been a shot in the dark to the type of care they'll receive. Unfortunately, the vet we saw Friday was more worried about telling us the price of everything and not focusing on how badly our dog needed treatment. They did a "hold over" procedure and told us to bring him in Monday. Well, we lost our dog today after seeking out help at another vet office who said he might've made it if he had treatment sooner. Regretting taking him here and wish I could go back and take him to a place that would've been more thorough.

A walk-in clinic that told me they were all booked up for the day when I called about my poisoned dog then harassed me on messenger then blocked me when I called them out on it on Facebook. If you love your pets you’ll go somewhere else.

Very Good care. Affordable. Helps folks afford to take better care of their animals. Some days you have a bit of a wait to be seen, as it's walk in, but it's worth it to your wallet.

Took my 10 year old border collie to see dr. Bernard. He is the greatest. He has taken care of my animals since he was in leitchfield. He takes the time to explain everything. Great with the animals and people. Never in a hurry to rush out of the room. I would recommend him to anyone. We drive almost an hour each way to see him

Katherine Adams

Love the vets here. They take care of my babies very well

Carol Galloway

If you like taking your dog to an assembly line vet where nothing is explained and care is minimal but pricing is cheap, then this is the place for you. For vaccinations it is fine for any other care your dog needs I would not recommend it. Also be sure they give you a written estimate of any care your dog might need for a procedure in advance or you might have a big surprise or not the proper care for your dog or cat. If they write a prescription that you want to fill elsewhere they charge you $15.00 to write it. I will NEVER go back there again. Since Dr. Thomas has retired the place has gone down hill.

brian eades

There service is trash. I took my cat to get a shot and been waiting over 40 mins now to get it. If I could go less than 1 star I would.

Emily Akins

My daughter brought our sick cat in becuase she had severe lethargy and not eating/drinking and struglling to walk and told the vet we thought she possibly had lyme disease because she got bit by a tick and gone downhill since. He gave the cat a steroid and antibiotic shot and no other labs, cat had 106 temp as well; probably dehydrated. The vet told her the shots should help. Here we are 3 days later and she passed away and suffered. Feel let down by someone whom is supposed to be a caregiver and heal and we are supposed to trust; instead we lost our cat and devasted.

Jillian Bartholomew

Wonderful staff. Have always taken all of my animals there. Love the reminders in the mail to keep up with shots.

We recently moved to the area and got a new puppy that needed shots. Our old vet, a family friend that we have taken our dogs to for years, is over an hour away and it was just not convenient to take him there. My adult dog has some social anxiety and I figured if I liked this place, she could go here too. For our first time there, we had to come back the next day because it was too busy, but they got me right in the next day, which I appreciated. However, I wish I would have waited for a different veterinarian because the doctor we got was rough with my small puppy. The woman to check out at the back was also giving me unsolicited advice in a manner that I didn't appreciate. The price was affordable, but two days later, my puppy became so sick, vomiting and with bloody diarrhea that I rushed him back, getting the same doctor. At that time the doctor said, "Is he an expensive dog?" which I to this day don't know what he meant by that, but regardless feel it should not matter how much my dogs cost because I love them the same. We had the option to hospitalize or try to nurse him at home, and I chose the latter as this vet was rough with a puppy who was in pain and scared. Again, on check out, the woman was rude, though I was on the verge of tears chastising me and lecturing me about getting my dog vaccinated (to which I told her we had done two days prior which shut her up). She was not compassionate at all. Luckily, my pup survived, but we have not been back and have been making treks to Sellersburg to see our old vet, which is well worth the extra cost and time because we are treated like family and my questions are not fielded like I am an idiot. I would maybe take my dogs here in an emergency, but I'm not sure. This place is affordable, and I've heard that I just got the bad veterinarian that no one likes from others in town, but I'm not willing to risk that again.

Just lost my business. It's a shame cause I rescue dogs and have sent them alot of business. Remembering clients and a more personalized approach, would be nice. What did it....the senior grumpy lady taking the payments. Condescending. Tossing charts on the desk. Flippant. Snarky. Her name is Pam. What a shame. AND not the first complaint about her.

derrick shoemake

I had to euthanize my little fur baby angel recently, she had been a part of my life for fifteen years. In all my years, I have never had such a hard decision to make, and I have never been so heartbroken in my life that day. She was suffering and it was time to free her of her pain. Elizabethtown Animal Hospital was there for us for those fifteen years, they always accommodated us, and provided the best care for our Belle. They were very compassionate with helping her to cross over to Rainbow Bridge, where she waits for me. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for medical care for their fur babies needs. Thank you EAH for your services.

Doug Blackburn

I won’t be going back. Waiting in waiting for about an hour. Then taken to the exam where I waited for another hour for whoever to come and do their thing. Was there for a shot and heart worm test.

Vanessa Perry

When I took my Labrador there for the first time I saved 2/3 of the money I would have spent taking him to the Vets that took care of him for the first 2 years of his life, staff was friendly, the Doctor was great, I was able to afford to do 3 examinations on him because I saved money, my dog is healthy, and we all walked out satisfied, nothing is better than knowing your pet is in good health. They even cliped his claws for us for free! They are awesome, and we'll be there again for our new pup in a month or two.

chris money

they are just as good or better than helmwood veterinary clinic, and cheaper costs, they are great people and some of the Best vets for all your animals.

I've always received excellent service for my dogs.

Very nice facility. My pup got his rabies vaccination and a well-being examination here. All staff were very friendly this walk-in visit was short. The waiting area is spacious and clean.

I absolutely love this office. Dr.Bailey has been our family vet for years. He cares about animals I cannot thank him enough for the years of caring for our animals.

Here recently I have loved the service a lot better. They are very knowledgeable and professional. Its an easy process and love that there is no upfront fee just to come in. I will always recommend and take my pets here for life.

I brought my cat here this morning and the staff was very friendly upfront and so was the veterinarian that checked my Diddy but that old lady who works the back desk were they take payments is just plain RUDE. She just threw my chart across the desk and acted like it was such a inconvenience for her to hold the paper while I signed the receipt since I had my cat in my hands. If you hate your job that much do us all a favor and leave.

Used to be a good place to take a pet. There to big for there own good. Service sucks. Everyone is mad. No one smiling. .. UN ORGINIZED. IS THE BEST WORD TO DESCRIBE.

Only place we've gone in 25 years. Doc Thomas, Dr. Nall and all the rest give 1st class care! Just had to have a surgery done on our chow basset mix. He's doing great! Thanks folks!!

Dr. Thomas and Dr. Jeremy Yates are wonderful. We love the new building, and they still offer affordable prices. The negatives are the front desk employees. The older lady seems bitter and I've never seen her smile. The younger girls do not know what is going on at all. I scheduled a appointment to get our dog neutered. Was told that I could drop off at 6:15am. So I made arrangements to have my children watched so I could take her before work. I arrive and there is no one there. I finally see the older lady and ask her politely about it, and she nearly bites my head off. Tells me I have to wait till they open at 7:30. When they open I have to wait along with all the walk-in patients. What is the purpose of a appointment? Then, while picking up our dog I asked about when I could give him food. I was rudely told by one of the younger girls, that she would give me a paper with that info on it. Apparently, it was too difficult to answer my question.

My cats have been going to etown animal for 6 years. Four months ago they were in for a check-up. Last week my cat died. They were closed so we had to see another vet. My cats teeth were so bad they had to pull all his teeth. This is something that should have been caught in his yearly exam. There is no reason a 7 year old cat should have teeth that bad when he is receiving regular checkups. Pulling his teeth was a last ditch effort to save him. We were sent to Jefferson town animal clinic by etown animal, we later learned they were in contract to send all after hours to them. They wanted $2000 to give fluids and antibiotics overnight. We paid $400 just for the tests they ran, which were inconclusive. Monday we went to my mother's vet where he died. My cats are not an assembly line product, they are my babies and my heart is shattered due to etown animals carelessness.

My grandson had a pet dog to get ran over & he was in in very bad condition. Thank you Dr. Barnard for taking the time to explain exactly what was going on & what our possibilities were. Sadly to say we had to put him down. Thank you Dr. Barnard for showing my grandson compassion as he was very broken hearted as we all where. We need more Dr’s like you.

Horrible service. Rude staff, mislabled records, and some of the vets don't seem to know what they're doing at all. May have pretty good prices but if Your animal's life is on the line I wouldn't recommend taking them here. Definitely taking My dogs to a different vet clinic.

C. Singleton

I have used this vet for years now, they where the only ones, that before some people ruined it for others, would see your pet if it was a emergency and let you make payments. I have had a emergency after hours before and they respond fast I would say with in a hour maybe even less they where at the office. Also i did call a 24hour pet hospital and there prices where way higher just to come in and see a vet that should of been there anyways. There price are very cheep still, even after moving into the new building. I also think they treat my pets better the some of the other places i have used. There groomer is also good and good priced.

Took my cat here after her spay incision got infected. Vet gave me antibiotics and told me how the healing process was going to be. I gave her the medicine and the next day the infected area had already begun healing as he said.

Bad Grooming Experience I've had numerous experiences with EAH; some very good, and some abysmally bad. So I must stress that it really depends on which doctor/assistant you are dealing with, and this review is based on ONE out of many experiences. My mother's baby is a long-haired Perisan cat. Once she took her to get groomed at EAH; never again. THEY CUT HER WHISKERS OFF!!! My mom was devastated. I want to know who would work at an ANIMAL HOSPITAL and thinks that it acceptable??!! As far as medical treatment, the doctors are generally wonderful. But there are MUCH better options around here to get your pet groomed; as far I'm concerned, this is the worst!!!

B Johnson

Too busy for good service! The practice has grown to the point that my animal now gets a vet tech instead of a vet performing services! What the heck? I'm leaving!

My dogs kidneys shut down from Diabetes, he was virtually on his death bed... Mark Nall said he would try to flush them out, that sometimes it works and sometimes it don't... He hadn't eaten at all in a week, Mark put him on an IV for 2 days and he still wasn't eating but he got his levels back to almost normal.. So we brought him home (I figured to die)... But when we got him home I got him to eat a very few bites of ham... Then I thought about when I go deer hunting and we butcher a deer how he loves deer meat... So I thawed some out for him and I think that's what got him to start eating again... Anyway he's doing a lot better, I just hope and pray he continues to improve....

Let me start off by saying that this used to be our family vet. My husband and I moved away 3 years ago and have been using a vet where we live. We have a 6 year old Newfoundland. We were visiting family in Elizabethtown and noticed that she was having muscle spasms in her back, left leg. We didn't waste any time after seeing this, and recorded a few videos to show the vet just in case it didn’t happen while we were there. We were waiting at the vet's doors when they opened back up at 3. We encountered countless problems on this visit, and the first one happened shortly after entering the doors. They asked me to get her onto the scale to take her weight. I told them that she had been to her regular vet about a week before that, and Purdue's vet center a month before. Both scales read about 128 lb. EAH's scale read 152 lb. It is not physically possible for her to gain 24 pounds in a week’s time! I continued to be scolded as we continued our visit at EAH, despite my explanation and offer to provide vet records. These scales desperately need to be re-calibrated. Our assigned vet was Dr. Mark Nall. This was the WORST experience that I have ever had with a vet. Before I let him feel her muscles, I showed him the videos that I had recorded. He watched them once, and said, “I have no clue what that is.” I completely understand that you can’t diagnose based on video, or even see everything that’s going on, but he put no effort into even watching them. So, he went to greet her. There was no proper greeting techniques taken; he swooped in and started rubbing her neck and all over her face. She was terrified! So we moved on from her traumatic greeting experience, and I had her lie down on the floor. I expected the normal “muscle check” routine, making sure she didn’t have any weak muscles. HA! He began grabbing her back leg and spreading it as far as he could get it, and then pushed more. He turned her hip to the side, and started popping it. When it popped, he simply stated, “Oh, her hip is cracking.” And then continued to do it 7 more times! He was putting all of his body weight into shoving her hips back and forth. Now, she is a very tolerant dog; she doesn’t cry for anything. If she’s in pain, you have to tell by a change in body language, not noise! I expressed this to Dr. Nall. Despite that, he continued with the hip cracking and pushing. He stood up, and announced, “Well, if she’s in pain, she isn’t complaining!” “You can pay at the desk.” He said nothing else, and opened the door. We went up to the receptionist desk, where we again got scolded for her “weighing” 152 pounds. I explained it yet again. She asked how much we were feeding her a day, to which I replied 3 cups of dry food; which is already 2.5 cups less than suggested. She said that that was WAY too much, and I should cut her back to 1.5-2 cups a day. That’s a feeding recommendation for a dog that weighs 45 pounds! I couldn’t help but sob, knowing that I subjected my dog to torturous treatment. Take everything with a grain of salt.

i do not owe you any money. yet when i called to see about antibiotics for little kitties the girl that answered did not treat me well. i do not know what else to do. this infection in the eyes is persistent. i did not have enough for office visit & meds..if anyone will " rescue these kittens" from me-please so the kittens won't suffer. i clean their eyes and mother's belly every 3-4 hrs. but i feel i'm losing the battle.PLEASE. I'M ON DISABILITY and do not have a lot of money.

Staff here is awesome. Dr. Chad is a favorite.

This place has been really good since I've gone there, the doctors I've had are great and really care about animals plus other staff , but the reason I'm giving this place 4 stars and not 5 is because of the employee in billing; she's rude, don't care about you or the animals (had my cat euthanized the first time I went there and was crying, her mannerisms and tone said enough), she needs to be fired. Then this place will receive 5 stars from me.

The best place to take your pets in E-Town! The front office staff is friendly, and you can tell the veterinarians are knowledgeable and love animals. Plus it’s affordable. We will never take our pets anywhere else.

They told us to bring our dog in as soon as we could I was working in Louisville rushed down to take him in we asked what time they closed we were told 1 and online it said o e we get there and we are told now that it will be 150 dollar fee to bring him in. Way to keep your customers informed EAH

The worst place you could ever have your dog groomed. Besides the worst haircut ever, I pick her up with poop all over her. I will never take her back there.

I have been taking my pets here for 15 years now and they are fantastic. From the very first shot my Sasha received to the very last, the staff here was fantastic. RIP Sasha June 2002-Oct 2014

They were great when we had to make the difficult decision to put our fur baby to sleep. Wasn’t rushed when saying goodbye to our baby girl.

Thank you for your posts, you saved me a lot of time and undo stress for my pup. As a successful business owner for years one thing i do not tolerate is rudeness from my staff. And i don't do business with places that do tolerate it! Apparently rudeness is epidemic in this town. The other two Helmwood and Heartland also treat their customers in a condescending way, I called to make an appointment for my new puppy, and instead of politeness i was sharply told "Well we don't make appointments, you'll just have to come in and wait in line like everyone else!". I guess she told me. I will take my puppy to the new vet Dr. Stewart when she opens up at the Rural King. She seems to actually want your business, and her assistant is equally professional.

I had been with EAH for over 20 years. Always paid my bill at time of service. Never ever owed them money for a bill. I recently had some health issues missing work. And pay. My dog needed some booster shots which would have been around 60 dollars or so. And they would not let me make a few payments so i could get her shots. They could care less about my situation, and they didnt care about my dogs health as well.....after all these years Trusting them with 3 of my babys. Then this.....i will NEVER be back. And dont depend on EAH if you fall on hard times

This week we were faced with a very unfortunate situation with our late Great Dane Nala. We phoned Elizabethtown Animal Hospital looking for pet hospital that was able to take our Great Dane in for an emergency, as we were driving the clinic took all our information over the phone, so when we arrived all we had to do was have our baby seen. When we arrived they immediately knew who we where and took us straight back. We were confirmed on our suspicion and our Great Dane had bloated. The doctor was sympathetic and completely honest with everything. We unfortunately had to make the hardest decision to put our sweet baby to sleep, and the doctors were very supportive, professionally and emotionally. This clinic didn't stop their support once we paid for the services that day. Today, Wednesday 13 November we received a sympathy note from the clinic expressing their condolences for our loss. Still dealing with the loss of our sweet Nala, this note meant so much to my family and I. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
