This Veterinarian is included in the category of Animal hospital.
Kind and knowledgable doctor and staff.
Our fur family members have been patients of Crestwood Animal Hospital for 33 years. That says it all right there.
Great loving care for all my furry and feathery family members since moving here 6 years ago.
You'll likely overpay for services here. We got poor service a while back with one of our animals. First they tried turning us away, then after accepting us their idea of emergency medical assistance was less than acceptable.
It is my animal place. They care.
Dr Gregory is the best, She is gentle with my dog and Sophie loves her
Great facility and compassionate vets. The staff in general are great. I'd definitely recommend.
Amazing staff very professional and informative only place I'll take my pets from here on out
Always a great experience here, they truly care
I drive 34 miles to go to this veterinary clinic. They have the best Doctor and do not have high prices.
I just moved to the area from Cleveland, OH and had an emergency with my dog. This was the closest place I found to take her, and she tragically passed away on the way there. The staff here were all amazing, and very comforting, as I was in complete distress. They were all very calming and informative as to what was happening and what my options were. I truly appreciate the support and compassion they showed. Thank you!
Crestwood Animal Hospital will be my cats' new forever vet! We are new to Louisville, and while it is about a 25 minute drive for us, it is so worth it! They were able to fit us in so quickly to their busy schedule and their crazy convenient hours are incredible! Benny, Rose, and I are super happy to have found our vet home in Louisville :)
they are fantastic we walked in with a sick bunny and they got us right in although they couldn't save him they tried as best they could and were very caring. I would highly recommend
I loved the staff and thought everyone was very professional. But more importantly, our little bird loved them! So that made everyone's experience MUCH bettter!! Would highly recommend this vet clinic.
I have been using Crestwood Veterinary Hospital for more than four years now. They treat our pets as if they are their own. I also board my pets with Crestwood Veterinary Hospital and am very happy that when I pick them up they are happy, it shows how well they were treated. Our thanks to all of the staff at Crestwood Veterinay Hospital...see ya soon. Tim
We have been to Crestwood Veterinary on several occasions. The first was to have our female Labrador fixed. We also had our cat treated there, they were very thorough reasonable priced and we did not hesitate to go back. The next 2 times unfortunately was to have our cat and our older lab put to sleep. I cannot begin to tell you how very kind they were. They made sure we came and went in a different door so we did not have to be with others pets, and they cried with us. They followed up to see if we needed anything and even had a nice container to bury our pets in. We have moved to Florida and I only hope we will find a group of caring professionals in Florida like this group.
I've been taking my animals there since they opened about 25 years ago or so but recently things have drastically changed. The way I was treated the last couple of times we have been there has made us start looking for a new vet.The staff is rude, especially Adrianne, and my basset acts like she's scared to go in there. Terrible experience. What a shame. It used to be a great place but no more.
Best vets around here. I would recommend.
They are significantly more expensive than other vet clinics but nice office. The techs were friendly, but the front office people were not. I never met the vet that spayed my female.
When looking for a vet there are two things to be taken into consideration: the price and the quality of care. I'm going to address both. Price: Crestwood Animal Hospital is more expensive than other vets in town. The facilities are very nice. However you're going to be paying for that. You will pay easily 33 to 50% more then other vets in town, even for basic procedures. For example annual shots here are $122. Yes, they offer lazer pain therapy, canine PT, have a huge building, and many vets. Again, the cost gets passed to the consumer. It doesn't mean the care is better, they just offer more. It's up to the pet owner. The general impression I get is that the upsell is always recommend and though lesser options are available you have to know what to ask for. Now, about the care: I think the care is very good and the staff seems very knowledgeable. They are willing to answer multiple questions and give you time to make decisions. However I have a red flag. We took our dog in recently with a suspected CCL tear. This is a very serious injury. The vet physically manipulated the joint and said she would need an $1,800 procedure AND physical therapy in the office. Not wanting to jump into anything I decided to get a second opinion at a different vet. That vet also manipulated the joint. He had suspicions about a CCL tear but highly recommended x-rays. His concern was that perhaps it wasn't her leg but maybe her hip that had an issue. He also wanted to see how much arthritis was in the joint. This conservative approach of diagnosis makes so much sense to me. I'll gladly pay $100 for sedated x-rays to ensure that surgery, especially a very expensive, invasive one, is truly needed. She may still need surgery but at least I'll know she was correctly diagnosed. I look at CAH like this: that brand new custom built BMW convertible is probably amazing, but if you need to get from point a to point b, that well equipped 2017 Camry or Accord might be the better option.
Takes in a wide range of wildlife. Only thing you pay for is your gas & time.
Amazing care even late at night. My Guinea Pig is alive because of this wonderful place!
Highly recommend this hospital. Treated our little guinea pig with love and care. Friendly and professional and very well run.
Great place to take your pets!
They take excellant care of our 4 babies
I've been bringing my cats here for a couple of years. The clinic is pricey, especially for yearly shots, but I don't want to stress the cats by driving further. I've had good and bad experiences here. You have to tell them to give your animal any pain medicine, even when they are obviously in pain. So always make sure you ask for that when needed. Some doctors don't seem to care. Other than one specific doctor the staff is great. Tl;dr pricey but mostly good service.
Don't call them if you have lost your dog, they will not help you. Call the animal control. They do not write any thing down. They just say they do, then when the dog is found they can't say if anyone lost a dog. Not very helpful at all!
What a great place to take your pet! They are caring, compassionate and attentive! Each individual was courteous and the whole event was geared towards giving my pet the best attention and service possible! I would highly recommend Crestwood Veterinary Hospital to anyone in this area and surrounding areas as well. They are well worth the drive! Thanks Crestwood Veterinary Hospital for putting my concerns and my pet first! Kastine Evans is one of my family.
It was an awesome experience everyone was so friendly. Loved how they took the time to get to know Maci. I really appreciated the call checking on Maci I have found a new vet.
Best vet around !
My very scared kitty did much better than expected thanks to the great environment and patient vet
The staff and doctors at Crestwood Veterinary Hospital are fantastic. We had a hamster that had a growth on her mouth. We were referred here for exotic/small pets. They were very sensitive to how much the hamster meant to our family and didn't treat us as if-"it's just a hamster". In fact a few weeks after we had to put our hamster down we received a sympathy card from the whole staff. I loved their thoughtfulness. In fact I was so impressed I took our dogs there too. They receive the same terrific care every time we need to go there. We live in J-town and gladly pass many other vet offices to get the special treatment we receive at Crestwood Veterinary Hospital.
Very nice staff.
I've been taking my dogs here since moving here in 2013. Every staff member and every vet I've seen has been genuinely compassionate and friendly and easy to work with. I had to make the very difficult decision to euthanize my 14-ish year old boxer, and the staff was so understanding. They gave me plenty of time to say my goodbyes, respected my privacy, and followed up with a sympathy card in the mail. I've recommended Crestwood to my boss and several other colleagues for their veterinary services.
First time here but felt like family!
Highly recommend this place!!
This is the first time I've been here to see the doctor. Baron is now a permanent patient of theirs. I'm impressed with the way that they have delt with him. We will be back.
They took wonderful care of our baby ferrets! I called them and they got us in within a half hour, and the babies are doing very well!
Bird and Beak trim only. I would not recommend for this purpose. The old vet had an assistant that helped him stretch out my birds from head to toe and he trimmed each nail and beak quickly. This vet assistant cradled each bird and the vet trimmed one toe at a time slowly, having to grab/locate each one. Then the bird would have to be repositioned for the other side etc. It took 3 to 4 times as long! It stressed my birds out SO MUCH the vet was letting them take breaks in between. Ultimately my African Gray did not even get his beak trimmed because he was so stressed and panting so badly! And when I got home I thought my one parrots beak was crooked! It was not attractive! I have never had that be an issue before! I will not be returning to this vet for my birds nail/beak trims again! They were very nice people and probably do great work otherwise but their method for trimming nails/beaks in my opinion (and my birds) needs a LOT of improvement! I was seriously concerned that my birds were so stressed I'd wake up the next day and one of them would be gone! This is NOT an experience I will put my birds (or myself) through again!
Very pleasing atmosphere upon entering, friendly staff, very knowledgeable. Took care of my oldest with patience and skill. Didn't try to upsell, but instead gave me all options available with no pressure. Both my 2 four legged babies and I are 110% satisfied. Will go here for all our needs from now on.
Great hours and nice staff
Got me in immediately, before even filling out paperwork for new patient status. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I love their new hours. They're open from 8am to midnight, 7 days a week. Located on 146 next to STOCKYARDS bank.
We board our cat there when we are away. They treat her great! Very friendly and caring.
Even though Crestwood Animal Hospital has grown over the 35+ years we have utilized their services, they still provide personal caring services.
I cannot describe how wonderful the Crestwood Veterinary Hospital is. When you walk in the door, you are typically greeted by very pleasant and friendly staff. The lobby is spacious and open. Even when we have arrived early, we don't have to wait long to be seen. The technicians and veterinarians are always friendly, helpful, and understanding. They have passion for their work, and it shows. They are always willing to return phone calls if you have a question, and it's never been difficult to get an appointment when we need one. While their prices are a little higher depending on the services (we have exotic animals), I find great comfort in knowing that my animal is getting a high level of care, and knowing that if any issues arise, they will do whatever they can to help our animals. The best advice I can give is to ask plenty of questions and be up front about your financial situation - they will always give you a list of their services if you are not sure if they will be within your budget, and they have never given me anything that was not absolutely necessary. I would highly recommend this veterinary hospital, especially if you have an exotic, because Dr. Gregory is very knowledgeable and her passion for saving animals is seen in her compassion for her patients, as well as with the rescue work she does.
We've been taking our dog, Toby, here for 13+ years. The vets are awesome and the staff are very helpful. We feel very good about Toby's care. I'd highly recommend bringing your animals to this facility.
Great place. They love their animals.
Great staff! Super caring and professional!
Dr. Gregory is the best! I have been going there for 11 years.
I did find them to be good; however, my Yorkie had seen the vet there almost monthly, including spaying, for the first year prior to time for the rabies vaccine. This office would not do a rabies vaccine without a comprehensive exam and well over $100. They knew our dog well and knew that a comprehensive exam was not needed in this particular case. Basically the office staff and the vet confirmed that this is the way they do things. I left for that reason, went to a vet who gave the rabies shot with a comprehensive exam for the cost of the rabies shot; introduced us to a wellness program that I wished I had known about this prior to using Crestwood Vet. We would have save hundreds. Our Yorkie gets great care where we are and for a wellness plan that covers everything but surgeries and some meds for $32/month; about $390 year. It also includes annual teeth cleaning. And, anything we haven't needed that is included in the plan before the end of each year, we have done such as urinalysis, etc. We are over board about our dog, but know when someone is just trying to charge unnecessarily. We know a good value. We have a pampered Yorkie. She goes to the office, on vacation, etc. She is our baby.
We brought our sweet little bunny for belly upset, and the staff was so kind and thoughtful, giving us a plan that wasn't overly invasive to help our pet recover. Their hours are accommodating for working families, and they got us in quickly for an emergency. Since bunnies are shy, easily overwhelmed critters, especially when they aren't feeling well, the staff was thoughtful enough to offer for us to call when we got to the parking lot so we could bring our bunny through a side door to bypass the regular waiting area, where there may have been barking or lots of people that might stress out our pet. I would recommend Crestwood Animal Hospital for your pets, especially small or exotic pets!
They are very gentle with Bella and take time to answer all my questions.
It was difficult circumstances that brought me to Crestwood. My bunny was sick and my local vet said they were not equipped to treat her. After calling multiple small animals facilities and getting a huge run around, I finally got in touch with Crestwood and the vet advised me to bring my bunny to them immediately. Unfortunately, after the examination and x-rays, the determination was made that my bunny had advanced cancer and the best and most humane choice would be to put her down. While it was an incredibly difficult and painful decision, the vet and staff at Crestwood were amazing. They were sympathetic, gave me time to say goodbye to my girl, and were just very kind about the whole situation. A few weeks later I received a sympathy card in the mail and a plaster casting of Evie's paw... I was touched beyond words by their consideration and that they would send me such a thoughtful memento even though it was the first and only time I had been to their facility. I have kept Crestwood's information, and I always advise people who are moving to the area to check them out. If I lived closer, they would become my primary vet for sure. It was a very sad and difficult situation that brought me to Crestwood, but the people there made such a huge impression on me, I'd be happy to tell anyone that their pet is in safe and loving hands at their facility.
They take excellent care of pets.
I have taken all my dogs (large breed) to the Doctors at CVH and they have always taken the time to explain what is going on, and recommended course of action if a problem exisisted. In fact when my dog was diagnosed with some "flu" type symptoms they took the time to watch him, and monitor his situation. They are very caring and the staff is great!
the staff ,like my cats are family too, i cant say enough good things about them, they are my heroes!
Always friendly and very knowledgeable. Easy to get appointments when I need them. Convenient hours. Highly recommend!
Crestwood Animal Hospital took prompt and accurate care of my rabbit when he wouldn't eat. I was impressed with the facilities and felt genuine concern from staff members. I felt confident that my pet was in good hands. Thank you Crestwood!
Very friendly, knowledgeable, great place, caring
I have been to Crestwood Animal Hospital two times with our dog. Once for an urgent appointment on a Sunday and this last time to try out their Groomer. I truly commend the doctors and staff. They have thought of everything. The flow of the office layout is amazing. Having extra later evening hours and being open 7 days a week. I want to Thank You for being open on a Sunday so I did not have to go further away to an expensive emergency animal hospital. My dog is not the most well mannered around other dogs in this setting so to be placed in an exam room shortly upon our arrival made both of us more comfortable. Once in the room they are able to handle everything else from there including the payment. The best part they have a completely separate exit door out the side back part of the building so you do not have to walk your pet back through a waiting room or out the front door crossing the path of others pets coming into the building. The communication and follow-up through emails, postcards and phone app has been so informative. You can really tell they care and have put much time & effort into making their building a warm inviting environment. This last appointment I tried out their Groomer for our small pug/shih tzu mixed dog. Our dog looks amazing. This is the best grooming treatment he has ever received. He was happy and in a good mood. You can tell Ryan, their Groomer is a top notch professional and has such patience for his furry clients. All the prices we have paid for anything at CAH have been right in-line with anyplace else we have been. Very competitively priced for sure which is nice, because for the level of care they are providing it is great to feel like you are receiving a really good value too. Thank you for caring for our furry family members and for being open so many hours out of each day to give us peace of mind. So glad we live close to Crestwood Animal Hospital!
A bit expensive for an animal hospital but the people are nice.
I can’t say enough about CAH. I recently had to say goodbye to my beloved cat. When I arrived, they escorted me back to a private room and everyone was so kind. When I was ready, the doctor came in, kneeled on the floor and we both said goodbye to my little man Koko.
I brought my dog in to have her put to sleep, we had just found out that she had Cancer. She was getting sicker by the day, we didn't want her to suffer so I had asked some friends and I was told about crestwCre Animal Hospital and the services they offer. My Kayla was just like one of my children. My youngest daughter had came with me and the Vet came in and titous steo by step what was going to happen and let us send as much time as we wanted with her before and afterwards. The staff was very nice and caring.
I have peace of mind of knowing that if any of my pets need care they are there. When you walk in the feeling of relief and concern is there. They have always treated my pets as part of their family and leaving them with caring ,loving, compassionate, and knowledgeable friends is why I go to them .The staff will laugh with you and cry with you at the loss of your pet. Crestwood Veterinary Hospital has it all and are five star in this pet owner eyes.
The vets and staff at Crestwood Veterinary Hospital are all terrific. They provide great service and top notch care for your pets of all ages. We are long-time customers and remain extremely pleased with everyone there!
The veterinarians were not available to answer questions or concerns. The owner of the clinic recommended treatment of allergy symptoms in my cat with Zyrtec, which has not been tested or approved for use in cats and therefore is not safe - because this seemed strange and unsafe to me, I am glad and relieved to say I did not give this to my cat. The owner of the clinic also failed to say anything to me about my cats' dental health which was poor and I discovered this only when I looked at the notes from the visit where the box for "abnormal" was checked next to dental examination. I immediately went to another clinic and had her teeth cleaned and she had to have four extracted because they were decaying and had been causing her pain. The vets here also recommended Taste of the Wild cat food which contains fish and is very bad for cats as fish in their diet causes urinary problems such as kidney stones, which can become fatal, especially in male cats. If all this were not bad enough, this clinic shows their priority for money over their care of their patients by advertising on their kitten page about declawing (the unnecessary and agonizingly and chronically painful chopping off of cats' toes at their first knuckle. Imagine a doctor chopping off the tops of your fingers and toes and expecting you to live like that, in chronic pain, for the rest of your life! Not only are declawed cats in constant pain, but they also have to walk on those amputated paws missing the tops of their toes).
I actually changed vets at one point several years ago to meet budget needs. I returned for continued excellence in care. The office is accommodating and when immediate care is required, they will work an appointment in or call when an opening is available. What changed are the options provided during treatment. The pricing was clear and the care that each option provided was also professionally explained. I am pleased by this approach and by the support that the vets provided either way. It is clear that they do find quality care the most important aspect of service. Thank you for the dedication.
We have been taking our beagle/brittany mix to the Crestwood Veterinary Hospital for almost 3 years now. We have been impressed and grateful with the level of care and service that the doctors and staff have provided for Barley- even when we bring him in for what was diagnosed as "sort of an outy belly button." The staff is honest, prompt and friendly. The Veterinarians treat your animal as a family member and you can tell how much they enjoy their job- which makes your experience that much better. A special shout out to Jen- thank you for being so accomodating!
My guinea pig wiggled out of my hands and dropped back into his playpen. While he didn't fall far, he landed on his back. As my evening went on I could tell he was starting to walk a bit funny. Our normal vet was closed and knowing how quickly these little guys deteriorate I didn't want to leave it until morning and drop him off there until they could work him in. It is pretty difficult to find an emergency place that sees guineas, and has an x-ray machine. I was told by two emergency vets to call Crestwood, so I did. I appreciated that they were willing to work us in quickly. They were very gentle with him. I appreciated that they worked up a high and low priced estimate to let me see prices for different levels of care. I didn't think the price for the visit + x-ray + meds was at all unreasonable, as I expected to pay about that much for an emergency visit period if I had taken him elsewhere. It's a bit of a drive for me, and we love our current vet so we have no plans to switch. But if one of my piggies needed care after hours again, or over a weekend (which has happened, and I'm really glad to know this place is open), I would gladly bring them back here.
Our hearts broke when our 5 month old dog fell and completely broke all four bones in her "hand." The staff was very compassionate and took exceptionally good care of her. Love that they are open 7 days a week until midnight!
Very thorough, caring and kind staff. They take good care of our dog Nina
My wife and i got our cat fixed here, Amazing staff and great doctors. It was a bit pricey but its worth it for the service and care they give to the animals probably the best vet i have been to in Kentucky :)
Crestwood Veterinary Hospital has the most wonderful, caring, and highly trained staff! Best I've seen! They're always there for you in time of need if your pet is ill, and will go above and beyond the 'call of duty' to help in any way they can! Love Dr. Gregory for helping me through the illness and ultimate transition of my 16-year-old cat, Nubby, fir their help easing his pain and making him comfortable in his last days. AND for the referral to a naturopathic Vet, Karen Lanz, who helped Nubby with herbs and acupuncture. Kudos to everyone at the CVH! It's the best!
I have had my cat (Inky) in twice since moving to this area. The care and concern regarding his well being was excellent!!!!! I have only a positive response to convey my appreciation to Dr. Gregory and the entire staff. Norma Martin
They have really taken good care of my cat. Nice and caring staff. Dr. Gregory handled my grumpy cat with ease. Long hours and very knowledgeable vet.
We have 2 cats, Angel and Pixie, that we have always taken to Crestwood Veterinary Hospital for their routine care. Unfortunately, Angel was diagnosed in August 2014 with kidney disease which is usually terminal. She will be 7 years old in January, which is too young to develop such a horrible disease. I have been able to keep her alive and healthy totally due to the care she has received from the amazing CVH vets and the medicine she gets daily. I have to give her medicine 3 times a day for the rest of her life, which may be as long as 8 or 10 years and I have no problem with that. The CVH vets are very caring and, in Angel's case, life-saving. While they are a little more expensive than some veterinarians in the area, they have a very modern, clean clinic plus the latest diagnostic equipment that I doubt most other vet clinics have. We lost a Yorkie back in 1998 to kidney disease and I am sure she would have lived, though maybe on medicine, had we had her now and taken her to CVH. I strongly recommend CVH to anyone with any pet they love and want to have the best vet care.
Took my Ceasar there for a glider emergency. And back for surgery. Dr was extremely nice and caring. Staff was awesome as well. I have had bad vet experience elsewhere but Crestwood is where I will go from now on. Well worth the drive.
Very caring folks here..they go above and beyond✌❤
Took injured woodpecker in and they accepted. Very nice of them to do so.
Great care given!
Love this veterinarian, very knowledgeable with all kinds of domestic pets! Staff was helpful and friendly!!!
Great care and great service
Love this place, I've been bringing my animals here for almost 30yrs. when they were in a different location. Best doctor's you will ever find. I trust them totally with my baby Gina.
Dr Gregory and Beth are fantastic! The care was excellent for my German Shepherd who does not like visiting the vet. The only improvement I would recommend is for them to discuss cost before doing services rather than being surprised at the end.
The employees were considerate and friendly. The hospital was clean.
Everyone at Crestwood Vet are friendly and always helpful. Glad to have them taking care of my animals.
Their staff was incredibly wonderful with my sick lil fur baby. They took time to listen to us & to check him out & determine what was wrong with him. They have very flexible hours & the night hours are NOT considered "after hours" (which is very costly) their fees are very reasonable! They discuss payment options & what the best course of treatment would be! I would HIGHLY recommend CAH! We have found a NEW VET office for this furbaby family! Thanks again CAH! The Tipton's
If you’re looking for the best care you can get for your precious pets, I highly recommend this animal hospital! We have been coming here for several years and are always completely satisfied. We love Dr. Tucker. She takes such wonderful care of our two dogs, Sandy and Shelly. She is very thorough and attentive, and even plays with them and gives them treats. Great staff and great service!
Wilson always loves going to the doctor because he know's he is in good hands. Always friendly from the time we walk in the door till we leave. Thank you to all for being more then just a staff <3
This is the 2nd time around for me to bring my pets to Crestwood Veterinary Hospital. We lived in Crestwood In 2001-2002 and I found them to be the best care that I have received anywhere. We have lived in many states...CT, PA, IL, MI, and MD. We returned to Kentucky in 2010 and within a month I had my dog in for a checkup. The doctors are experts at what they do, the technicians are awesome at making you feel like your dog is going to be okay during the exam/visit, all of the upfront receptionists are very warm and welcoming - you don't want to leave the place with a welcome like that! And the boarding people are phenomenal! I feel very good with leaving my pet there for a week away on vacation. They take the time to talk with you when you drop your dog off instead of only filling out a form with what you need for your pet. They get down to the nitty gritty and want to know "how does your dog act during thunderstorms, can we tie a scarf around his neck with that has a special calming product in it?" "How is your dogs appetite - is he/she stressed while kenneling - can we provide probiotics on its food to prevent any gastrointestinal problems from happening?" This is "why" I love Crestwood Vet Hospital! I am so glad that I found them!!!
CAH saw our cat for an abdominal ultrasound when no one else would work with our schedule. The fact that they are open until midnight 7 days a week was surprising and comforting. Dr Suddeth was knowledgeable, compassionate, and took time to answer all of our questions. Eventually, we chose to bring our cat home to care for her and give comfort until she passes. The staff were on board with our choice and didnt push us towards euthanasia. I was offered to call with questions and when I did the techs were comforting and had a wealth of information to give me. I truly appreciate their care. We will be transferring our pets to them.
First time taking Jack for boarding. He came home a happy dog. The staff here are super friendly. I love the fact that it doesn't house 100+ dogs. They have perfect hours for pick up and drop off, especially Sundays from 12 to 3. Best of all, I don't have to worry if a medical need arises, he's already at the vet :)
I hear that this place is open 24/7, I wish it was open 24/7 before when I had my cats and dogs.
Our dog was gravely ill and they would not do any thing without half of payment which was 500 dollars. In other words take your dog home and let it die . I paid of course but what happens to people that don't have the money but are able to make payments. Sad,sad, sad!!!
Saw my Dog on extremely short notice and gave him the care and attention that was needed. Very professional. You can tell it isn't just a business, making sure your pets are in good health is their passion. I would recommend their services before anybody else in Louisville and surrounding areas. Highly knowledgeable staff that go the extra mile to take care if you and your pets needs. Before I was on my way they answered every question I had and even called back a couple of days later to see how my pup was healing up. Do yourself and your non human companion a favor and let them provide the health needs for your pets.
Dr. Gregory is wonderful with my birds!
Best place for pet care.
Love the great care they have for our family pet.
Always great.
Great with pets. Wouldn't trust mine with anyone else.
As a lifetime pet parent I can easily say this is the vet hospital I have ever been to. They are very thorough with explanations of medicines and procedures. The prices are very reasonable and they have a passion for the welfare of our critter companions. I would recommend this vet to anyone, especially exotic pet parents. Dr. Gregory and her techs gave my chameleon the very best care and thus will be the only place I take him from now on.
Nice
Excellent experience. The staff was helpful and caring. The visit was quick but not rushed. All of my questions were answered.
As always, I enjoy my visit here with my little guy. Theyre very accommodating and ive had bad experiences in the past at another vets office so I was very happy that they try to do their best to make both myself and my dog feel comfortable. Really nice staff!
After scheduling an appointment with the vet for yearly checkup we informed them while there that our dog doesnt like strangers and would bite if scared or provoked. Well they didnt listen and had to seperate him from me so he bit the doctor because he was scared. So they reacheduled his visit and told us to come back after giving him anxiety medicine before we came in. We did just that but the dog was still scared when we arrived so we had to put a muzzle on him, but abviously these people dont really care for animals and didnt feel like trying so they asked us to sadate him, so they can vaccinate him and groom him and we foolishly agreed. When we picked him up the grooming job looked like my 4 yeard old had done it. I would not recommend their vet nor grooming service to anybody, we will take our dog to his old vet and groomer in fairdale ky, where they actually care about them. They were way over priced as well. Horrible experience for the pet and us.
Everyone at Crestwood Veterinary Hospital from the front office staff, to Ryan, the groomer, and especially Dr. Rexroad is amazing! Jen and Lauren always greet MacDuff, Griffin, and myself by our names. My boys know they are going to be well cared for and loved when they enter the beautiful building. Ms Moira and Dr. Rexroad care for my boys as if they were their own. We love Crestwood Veterinary Hospital so much we traveled from Cincinnati for two years just so our boys could continue to see Dr. Rexroad. We will never take our pets anywhere else.
Great people doing all they can for your fur babies.
I love doctor Gregory (as I have a fluffle of rabbits) but all of the vets and staff are wonderful. I had to say good bye to my best friend Tigger today and they made it as pleasant an experience as possible and didn't make me feel judged for making the decision to end his suffering in this humane fashion. They care so much for the animals they treat but also for their owners.
Crestwood Veterinary Hospital is the most caring and compassionate place to bring your pets for veterinary care. They are awesome and love and treat each pet like their own. The Veterinarians are all so well trained and kind to the animals and their owners while giving the best possible care to our pets. The kennel is a safe place to leave your animals, old and you, while you are away and they are very well taken care of during the time you are away from home. The owners are sent txt messages and pictures to confirm how well your pets are doing while you are away which give you peace of mind.
At first this office was the best. Was my Vet as of today. Took my sick cat in 3 times over the past two weeks. She is throwing up every time she tries to eat anything. Each time they run test and send her home. After getting the shot to stop nausea she is fine for 24 hours then starts throwing up any time she tries to eat. Getting ready to make my fourth trip because she still throws up any time she tries to eat. After spending $800 with no results and no one taking this problem seriously. This trip is to my new vet.
Motivated by making a buck? You tell me... We took out 3 year old toy poodle in because she had a problem with her back leg. After a 5 minute manual examination we were told she has a torn CCL and needed an $1800 surgery and in office PT as soon as possible. We were warned that if we didn't do the surgery she would likely have to be confined to a crate indefinitely, maybe for the rest of her life. Woah. We decided to get a second opinion. This vet did a manual examination and sedated x rays to rule out structural problems. Then, while she was sedated he manipulated her leg. The x rays ruled out structural problems entirely. The manipulations revealed there was no slipping of the ligaments. He told us that with crate rest and restrictions our dog would likely heal on her own. He said jumping into surgery would be hasty, at best. That's a big difference. When we called CAH to report our findings we were told by the office manager that it was our job to push the vet for more diagnostics. Then, that they opted to forgo them TO SAVE US MONEY. ??? Right. The office manager went on to tell me that she had two toy poodles that both had torn CCL and crate rest and restrictions to activity healed her dogs. What in the world?! They have lost our business entirely. We're not out of the woods yet but we're not throwing $$$ unnecessarily, either. Do yourself a favor and find another vet.
Misdiagnosed our hen with peritonitis and even recommended surgery which turned out to be broody. Cost of x-ray much higher in comparison to other vet.
Excellent in all ways.
Took my dog there for the first time. LOVED it! Dr. Dohrenwend was wonderful. I have a senior dog with mobility problems and she was caring and patient with him. I would recommend this vet to anyone!
Make an appointment before you go. Caring doctors. Reasonable priced
We board our parrots there whenever we are out of town. The veterinary staff is caring, helpful & also knowledgeable about exotic pets (birds, pet pigs, & others). They handle rescues & have contacts with other rescuers. They provide excellent care for all animals.
I have been going to Crestwood Vets since 1995, they are the best. They do it all also, big animals, small animals, exotics, the only animal I have not seen in there was a fish. If I ever have a problem with my pets they always get me in the same day. I highly recommend them for all your pet needs
The entire staff here was fantastic with my baby girl Charli & I! She was really sick & I was worried it was serious. The techs & doctor eased my mind & handled Charli very well. Plus they have great hours & prices. She's back to being herself again & I can't thank you enough!
I took my 12 week on kitten, who had worms and they where able to see him the same day, which made me very happy!! Also I liked Dr Suddeth, who was very helpful and he was also very gentle with my pet . The office and medical staff was very nice also . I definitely will be bring my other cat there!!!.
Very friendly
Our guilt feelings about boarding Bonnie (our cat) were eliminated immediately when we felt the caring atmosphere at Crestwood Animal Hospital. When we received text messages and pictures we could see Bonnie was thriving thanks to the wonderful staff at CAH.
My Aunt Lorna Works at This Hospital.
Worth getting a second opinion. I was quoted one third of what CAH quoted me for the same preceedure needed for my dog at another vet in town. They separated my 14 year old dog from me while they did his vaccinations and now he has a nasal infection because they used the wrong type for a short nose breed. They were cold and seemed only out to get me signed up for a monthly senior dog plan. If you want a vet who actually seems to like animals, I say go elsewhere. I can't believe I ever took my precious fur baby here. Never again.
Not only are Crestwood's vets top notch, but they are also great people. Even the front staff is really friendly and welcoming. The office is equipped for regular well-visit checkups, but can handle just about any emergency. Dr Gregory is outstanding with both dogs and cats as well as exotics. I am the director of Second Chances Wildlife Center and am fortunate that Dr Gregory sees my patients. I am fully confident in her treatment of our animals. This office is also very, very clean and offers a variety of appointment times.
We love, love, love Crestwood Animal Hospital. They are one of the few avian vets in town, which is a big deal for us since we have four smaller parrots and a large blue and gold macaw. Prices seem to be lower for avian services than the few other options around town, which helps. Both Dr. Gregory and Dr. Suddeth are extremely warm and caring about the animals they are seeing. Unlike at least one other avian vet in town, they're actually friendly and polite with customers as well. The office staff and assistants are always friendly and helpful. Crestwood Animal Hospital comes highly recommended for your Veterinarian needs.
Have left my pitbull here multiple times for extended trips with their boarding service. My dog has always been treated well and I have never noticed any evidence of mistreatment. I also take her here for her routine check ups. We had her spade her as well. There was complications during her surgery due to an unknown clotting issue she had. The veterinarian had no way of knowing. They were able to save my dog Luna and the stitch work they did in her was amazing. I believe it was somewhere around 20 staples from having to further open her up to save her life. I report this because I believe it reflects it ability of the vet to respond to unknown conditions that animals have. I believe that if it had been another vet, things may have been much different. I highly recommend this place for your animals.
They're amazing! Our cat was really sick and they got us in quickly and did everything they could. Unfortunately our sweet cat had to be put to sleep. But the way the whole staff treated our family was something we will never forget and we're grateful. Thank you!
I've been the only client in the building and still had to wait more than a hour.
My mom takes her dog here and recommended me when we got our fur baby. Every person there has a heart for animals and it shows. I will gladly make the extra drive and pay a little bit more because they are so good to our family!
Easter egg hunt was a wonderful family event. Thanks to all the staff.
Awesome hospitality, Dr Rainey has taken amazing care of my dog from the first time I brought him, he will be the only vet to take care of my animals from now on
The best veterinarian I have ever taken my pets to. I'm willing to make a 45 minute drive just to take them here.
Vets are great. They live my pets almost as much as I do! New Sunday hours are super convenient!
Love Dr. Gregory. She does so much for the Oldham County Humane Society.
Veterinarians and veterinarian techs are excellent front desk beware monitoring your dogs and beware of children monitoring dogs thank you...
Thank you Dr.Gregory, Molly and the sweet lady at the front deck for taking care of my Zoe. Your kindness will never be forgotten. I miss my sweet girl and it was hard to make the decision but your heart felt love was so appreciated. Hugs to all. Margaret Norris
this hospital provided wonderful emergency surgical care and treatment to a severely injured kitten I happened to find while visiting family nearby. Staff stayed late on a Friday night to do an emergency leg amputation, and provided the little guy with wonderful attention and aftercare. I'm back in Florida now (with our 3 legged feline friend, who has healed amazingly!), but if I lived nearby Crestwood would be our regular vet! we were very happy with the service! (so was "Schrodinger", even if he is minus a leg now).
I was costumer for 12 years (with 2 dogs and 2 cats) until this morning 01/24/2018 when I was told, after waiting for 30 minutes inside the exam room that I was late for the appointment and unfortunately because they had a staff meeting they were not be able to attend my cat. They suggested I could leave my cat with them and pick her up later or make another appointment . My cat appointment was made last year for 01/24/18 12:30 and I had it on my google calendar. I was "almost" sure I was right but I didn't argue because in other case , with my dog's app. , I was 1 hour early and I had to wait for 1 hour plus 1 hour inside the room for the actual appointment. So I went home and I find the card written by the receptionist for 12:30. Then I double checked my email and I found an opened email from them informing the appointment was 12 pm. I have being costumer for 12 years and the past years we don't have a specific vet. and I just don't feel welcome anymore. The 2 stars I am giving is for cleanness , easy access and because when my beloved dog that I brought with me from Brazil died 8 years ago with cancer this was the last place she saw and they sent me her ashes with a card signed from the staff.
Great vet. Very accommodating and professional.
The staff are SUPER
Love this place. They good care of my boxer
The staff was very caring and attentive to our needs. I was very happy with our experience.
They did a wonderful job with My Sugar Gliders and I would recommend them! They are so friendly and far! We'll be back!
Great office. My first time bringing my bearded dragon in and they did awesome!. If you have a exotic animal I'd suggest seeing if they see them. Prices are reasonable and they know what they are doing there.
Amazing doctors and staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Rescue friendly and open late!
Loved the Easter event. Hospital looks great.
Staff are very friendly and caring, we had an emergency and our regular vet was closed so we called and they worked us in the same day. Dr. Suddeth is extremely patient and thorough.
We have brought our cats and house rabbits to Crestwood Veterinary Hospital since 2007. They have guided us through lengthy, complicated pet illnesses such as chronic renal failure, diabetes, lymphoma, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and congenital megacolon. Dr. Gregory has worked tirelessly to remove Pasturella abscesses from one of our rabbits and successfully removed a mass from and resected one of our cats' intestines, not a simple surgical procedure. Drs. Rexroad and Suddeth have been very helpful as well, particularly with a rescue kitty who came from a shelter with serious wounds caused by neglect. The front desk staff and technicians are very welcoming and helpful and make certain that all of our questions are answered. Thank you to all!!!
Great people great care for my pets it shows they care
They took such good care of my snake Rusty!
Great Doctors and staff
I took my pet rat in when it was in respiratory distress. They offered a few things they could try, but having had pet rats before and reading up on them, that the severity of the respiratory distress was already at a point that she needed to be caringly put to rest. Which Crestwood Veterinary Hospital was very kind in dealing with the situation. They put her to rest in a little bed in a box that we could bury when we got home. A few days after, they sent us a lovely condolences card. Very thoughtful people during our time of need and it was very much appreciated
Great team here. Vets and support techs are top notch and grooming crew always does an excellent job. They are great with my goldendoodle. This is the only local vet I could find accredited by the national organization which means they have to follow strict protocols. FYI....grooming is booming here so you may have to book a month's or two ahead if you want a specific date and time.
