Best Pet clinic ever!!! I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else! Everyone at Rockhill Pet Clinic is caring and compassionate and it's a wonderful place!
Love them. They are very thorough and caring.
Rockhill Pet Clinic's staff treat my three dogs and I like family. They take time to explain all the options available to us and answer my questions. They always show genuine care and concern, and the dogs feel so comfortable with the staff.
Such a great experience! Everyone was friendly and more than happy to answer all of my questions. Eric was great and sat down with us to discuss our pup and even followed up on how he was doing. I highly recommend!
At my third annual visit today with my cat I was so impressed that the vet had a memory of her. The doctors, nurses, and staff are so kind and knowledgeable, and they treat pets and their people with great respect.
We had only had our dog for 3 weeks when we switched to Rockhill, our dog is a bit older and had some blood in his urine along with some other health problems the adoption shelter barley explained to us. When we got him examined they were very helpful and informative and now our dog is doing so much better. What a great team of people.
I would definitely recommend their cat boarding services! Boarded my cat here for the 1st time when he was 11 months old and I was very anxious about leaving him with people he didn't know as cats typically aren't fond of leaving home in the first place. When I arrived to drop him off a staff member sat down with me to discuss what my cat and I would like in detail. While I was on vacation, I received emails nearly daily with photos/videos of my cat playing and updates on how he was doing. Unfortunately, he had some diarrhea and the same staff member who checked me in called to update me on the situation and test results. When I arrived to pick my little guy up, the vet who had seen him while I was away sat down to explain test results to me again and reassure me that everything was fine. My cat will definitely be staying here again :)
They always make me and my dogs feel comfortable and welcome. The staff remembers my dogs by name . Plus, they always follow up after an appointment to make sure everything is going okay.
My sweet dog had all kinds of trouble a few years ago, and I believe he is still with us today as a happy, healthy 12-year-old, because of Dr. Stewart's care! I'm so very grateful to Rockhill Pet Clinic!
The vet and the technician were awesome. We were able to schedule an appointment for the same day, and they laid out a care plan for our pibble who had a bruised/sprained tail and explained everything in detail for us including costs. They took great care of us and our pups which is what matters most. I don't think I could go to a different vet now unless I had to for some reason.
Love the compassionate and professional care I get here!
The staff at Rockhill Pet Clinic are nice and friendly. I really feel like I can trust them with taking good care of my pets. Service is also great!
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They walked us through different options and vaccines for our dogs without pushing us to get unnecessary procedures.
Had my boyfriend’s dog get vaccinated here and in less than two hours had a major allergic reaction (his dog has had these vaccinations before) and brought him immediately to the emergency vet. They told us it was due to the manufacturer.... Please do NOT get your pets vaccinated here.
The Rockhill Pet Clinic is a place where your pets will be loved and treated as if they were one of their own. It is very clear that the staff truly cares about your pets.
We are switching clinics. A few weeks ago, our dogs tongue was bleeding and so we took him to the vet. The vet looked at the dog for 30 seconds and then suggested surgery. After leaving, the nurse came in and assumed I had already said yes. My opinion was NEVER consulted or asked. There was never a discussion. I declined the surgery wanting to wait until Monday to see if it would heal itself. I was then PRESSURED by the vet to reconsider. Our dogs tongue stopped bleeding 4 hours later. Surgery is a last resort to me in general. It seems quite odd that it was recommended for something that healed itself several hours later. Additionally, this is a continuing trend with this clinic. We are always recommend various 'optional' preventative care procedures each time we visited. They always assume we will do them and you have to ask them NOT to do them. I don't like being 'upsold' while taking my dog to the vet.
I've been taking dogs and cats here for at least 25 years. The staff is amazing. I've trusted long-timers like Debbie, Allison, and Dr. Stewart With beloved pets from birth to death, quite literally. When an especially beloved dog was being put down, those three and others sat with me in a circle for the final moments. No one had dry eyes and I knew my pup was with people who loved him at the end. I will be forever grateful.
Cowboy has been a frequent flier at Rockhill Pet for 14+ years. His conditions have challenged yet surprised all of us. Staff, well how can I name them all but Debbie has been along side our family with Cowboy and our dear beloved Charlie who passed away un expectantly. Dr. Stewart was nonjudgmental when I think I walked in more than 22 plus years ago with a Lester who was my feline buddy of many years, very overweight and no vaccines! The staff is very friendly, clinical and understanding.
Dr. Stewart and her staff are outstanding! I had never owned a pet before and they took their time to help me understand the unique needs and behavior of my dog. I have also recommended and brought the pets of friends under her care and they all say the same thing...."we couldn't have found a more caring doctor for our 4-legged family member."
I am very disappointed in the charges at Rockhill Pet Clinic. We took our dog in on a Friday afternoon because he was having problems walking and going up and down stairs. They weren't sure what was wrong with him so they drew blood and tested it. I was charged over $265 for a blood test, antibiotic injection, oral antibiotic, office visit and something else. The next day she still was not doing well they wanted to take xrays which was going to cost me another $175 which I'm glad I waited because by Monday night she was shaking her head constantly and then by Tuesday morning had developed Vasculitis. They now want another $800-900 to run more blood tests and tissue testing. That does not even include the office visit for today, medication, boarding so they could observe her. I would think since they miss diagnosed her on Friday they would wave the office visit for today. My own physician doesn't charge me twice. I need a new vet that is not out to make a million dollars off me trying to figure out what I think is just an allergic reaction to a bug bite.
Rockhill Pet Clinic refused to do the life-saving surgery for my dog with an intestinal obstruction because I didn't have nearly $2,000 down for the procedure. They would not work with me and wouldn't help me. I'd been a client of theirs for eight months. He wasn't able to keep food or water down, and they sent us home without even any treatment. Even Banfield had at least given fluids when seen the previous day. I thankfully was able to find a kinder vet who accepted a lower down payment, charged hundreds less for the surgery, and saved his life.
Everyone at Rockhill Pet Clinic is amazing. From the people at the front desk, to the pet nurses to the veterinarians, everyone is extremely kind, prompt and it is obvious they love what they do. I've taken my 9 year old pomeranian/ schipperke mix to this clinic for 4 years now and have had nothing but positive experiences. Anytime a friend of mine is looking for a vet, I always recommend Rockhill!
I took my mini-dachshunds to Rockhill for checkup and general health check. I was impressed with the staff's knowledge and helpfulness. They took care of our needs, answered all of our questions, and followed up to make sure our doggies were happy. The office staff is also very professional and responsive when making appointments.
They were very helpful after I just adopted my dog. Helped me figure out the best medicines and got him eating again.
The Law Family have been coming to Rockhill Pet Clinic and Dr. Stewart for the past 35+ years and we have had nothing but excellent care of our pets! They treat you and your pet like a member of their family and Roxie and Boston (Mr. B) love going to visit! There are not enough outstanding adjectives to describe any our visits to Rockhill Pet Clinic. Julie Law
Complete peace of mind. The staff is nothing less that amazing and truly go out of their way to make sure you and your pet are 100% happy. Medical, boarding or grooming, I love taking my dogs here.
I love bringing my two cats here! The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I have one very outgoing cat and one slightly timid cat, and everyone there treats them both with love and care, which makes all of us feel a lot more calm. Any time we go in for an appointment, they do a follow-up phone call to check in, which allows me to share any concerns or ask questions, which I really appreciate. All in all, everyone at Rockhill Pet Clinic is willing to go the extra mile to make sure every appointment is a positive experience for you and your furry friend.
I had a cat who looked like she was suffering from a stroke, so I went on a suggestion from a friend. I wish I had gone anywhere else. After multiple visits and being charged around $800.00 they never told me what was wrong with her. They kept me coming in to charge me for taking her blood pressure and kept trying to get me to pay for even more expensive test. I felt like I was dealing with used car salesmen. Six weeks later with her taking a turn for the worse, I decided to let her go. But, they even screwed that up. I told them I wanted to stay in the room for her to be sedated, but not for when they actually euthanized her. Well they left me and her in the room for a long time and then came in and told me they had an emergency and we would have to wait. I was distressed and let them know I wanted her to be taken care of. What they did next is what I'm really still upset about. The vet came in and without a word euthanized her right in front of me and quickly left without a word. I feel these people are highly unethical and will do and say anything for a buck. Please don't go there. And I didn't mean to give them 2 stars, they deserve one star, maybe.
They are always good with my dog and are so kind to myself as well. Rockhill is great with reminder calls and letting you know when your animal is due for shots. Rockhill also does not force any unnecessary charges on you and lets you make the final decision on what you would like to do for your pet. Thank you Rockhill!!
I have used this clinic for years. The staff is friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. Prices seem rather high, however.
It became apparent that my 17 year old cat was ready to cross the rainbow bridge. She was always so scared to ride in the car, and I wanted to find a vet that could put her down at our house. Rockhill Pet Clinic was very kind, prompt, and helpful. I called the clinic early in the morning, and they came out to my house to put my poor old kitty to sleep that afternoon. They were so kind and gentle with her, and I will be forever grateful that they offer this service. They made sure her final moments were peaceful instead of being scared in a strange environment. Doctor and vet tech were really great, thank you so much!!
Had a new born rent pup, just a few days old, that wasn't doing well. This is my first experience with puppies. I called the clinic looking for some advice during my hysteria, to save my baby. They made an appointment, and said they would call me back after she had spoken with a manager about finances. I had moved 2 days before the pups were born and exhausted every last dime and resource I had. I get to my appointment, with my puppy in a warm sock, clinging onto life. A different lady approaches after I begged for someone to help me. Bawing my eyes out, trying to save this defenseless little baby, she hands me a sheet of paper with other clinics (not anywhere near my area) and turns me away. Someone could have even billed me. I just didn't have the cash upfront. I was desperate and used up the rest of my gas just to get to the appointment. I have never in my life been so disgusted with humanity and felt so alone in a situation I knew little of. I will NEVER let them see any of my animals. They showed how much they cared about pets in general when they let me cry in the lobby, begging for help, and did nothing. My baby passed about 12 hours after our "appointment", if that's what you would even call it.
This is the only Pet Clinic that I will take my fur babies. The staff there are exceptional and always treats my fur babies like a member of their family. They always keep me informed about upcoming appointments and anything the babies may be needing for my consideration, all at a reasonable price.
Rockhill feels like an extension of our family. They clearly love our dogs the way we love our dogs and were so sensitive and kind when we lost one. The dogs run in to every appointment happy and excited to see them and get an equally excited response from the staff. And the medical care is top notch to boot!
We have received nothing but exceptional care for our furry babies. Rockhill vet clinic is fantastic!!!
Rockhill Pet Clinic is filled with conscientious, considerate and competent professionals who LOVE the animals they serve. I and my dog Isabella are greeted by name and her care is managed efficiently, effectively and with loving kindness. The culture is warm and positive, the building is spic and span, and the service systems are well designed.
I called Rockhill after going to another place and being told they didn't have the flu vaccine I needed for my dog even though I called and asked them first. I needed the vaccine immediately because I was boarding my dog that day. Rockhill was able to squeeze me in that same day and had the right vaccine I needed. They were also very accommodating when it came to my overprotective German Shepherd. They were great with her!! I really appreciated their customer service and highly recommend them.
The veterinarians and staff at Rockhill Pet Clinic are experience and knowledgeable. They are also very compassionate about helping our pets who are like our children. I have trusted them for many years now and it is like getting advice from a good friend. Thank you and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
We love Rockhill Pet Clinic! They are great with both of our dogs. Nice, clean office and really nice. knowledgeable staff.
Rockhill Pet Clinic is great. They do their best to get you an appointment for urgent or unexpected matters as soon as possible, and they do a great job of keeping you updated of routine care for your pets. When I first moved to KC, I lived off of Harrison Street and decided to go here for my vet strictly because of the geographical convenience. Since that time, I have lived in Waldo, Raytown and presently Kansas City, KS. Although they are not as geographically convenient since moving from Harrison Street, their quality of care has kept me returning to them, and it will forever. They have always been very good with my dog Chester.
The staff at Rockhill Pet Clinic treat our pets like family! We are so grateful to have them in our neighborhood, but would for sure drive any distance for their kind of service.
I've taken my 2 1/2 yr old boxer, Soji, to RPC since she was a 7-week old puppy. All the staff have been very friendly and are very calm when Soji "loses her mind" when she goes there. The vet docs are very open in explaining any potential or ongoing medical conditions. Soji has been there overnight without incident. I will continue to use them as needed. The charges are a bit pricey, though.
Our boys, Dash (12) and Mossimo (9), have been going to Rockhill all their lives. The staff has always been so friendly and helpful with all our needs. The boys even enjoy going!
When my dog got hurt from another dog, they were very responsive in seeing him that day and treating his wound. Very good vet techs and caring people all around!
Adopted an 8-year old cat and took her here two months later. I was totally impressed by their cat-friendly treatment. They were focused on providing care in a way that would not create unnecessary stress for my kitty. All of my concerns were addressed. I am a cat person with a lot of experience taking cats to the vet and this was by far the most impressive place I have been..
The Rockhill Pet Clinic is like family! They love Hersh (my Cocker Spaniel) like their own! And they are ALWAYS there for us. In fact, one time my husband was out of town and I was having a hard time giving Hersh his ear medicine. The wonderful staff at Rockhill Pet Clinic offered to apply his ear medicine for me! They allowed me to come in early in the morning and right before they closed for many days and they applied the ear medicine at no charge! Hersh gives Rockhill Pet Clinic two paws up!! :)
Rockhill Pet Clinic has been our veterinary for our weimaraner for many years and our dog has been very well taken care of here!
The staff at Rockhill Pet Clinic are extremely compassionate and caring when it comes to treating your pet. I wouldn't go anywhere else because the medical care is so great and the people are so friendly. They always call to check in and follow up to see how my pet is doing after an appointment.
My kitty companions always get loving care from the staff of Rockhill Pet Clinic. I've been going there so long that I consider the wonderful people there friends as well as professionals that I can trust to take the best possible care of my animal friends.
I've been taking my pet to Rockhill for 6 months - check-ups, medical concerns, grooming, etc. I am always pleased with the staff's professionalism and upbeat attitudes. My puppy seems to be very happy as well!!!
In a pinch, my fiance had my dog Manny boarded at Rockhill while we were out of town for our honeymoon. I had never been there, nor had Manny. My fiance, now husband, has been bringing his pets to Rockhill for years. When I picked up Manny, the staff was exceptional. They gave me a full report of Manny and did an exam on him while he was there. Manny normally gets nervous and won't eat much when he's separated from me & my son... he must have loved it because he ate at every meal and came home healthy and happy. Thank you all! I will be making the trek from the Northland to come back again for my other pets!
We picked up our older dog from the SPCA, which sold us doggy health insurance, which then dictated we had to use Rockhill (one of the closest vets). I was initially skeptical, but we are all thrilled to have encountered such a great vet. They are professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and everything happy we wanted in a vet. So thrilled to have found them.
They care about your pet, too. Friendly to owners and pets. Knowledgeable. Been going there for over 20 years with my cats.
My pup absolutely loves to go to the vet, which is never what I would have imagined. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive. I would recommend this vet to anyone.
Lexus did a fabulous job grooming Rocky, as always Dr. Vodraska protects my dogs health like a guardian ange and Baillie makes the whole experience pleasant, efficient and fun!
I have always been completely happy with the care of my 2 dogs that they have received at Rockhill Pet clinic. The costs seem a comparable to other clinics of equivalent size. Treatments have always been very thorough, seemed reasonable and all procedures were left up to me and I was always given a cost before the treatment was done. The dogs and myself have always been treated like welcome friends.
I can not say enough great things about the staff at the Rockhill Pet Clinic. This animal clinic is full of thoughtful, caring and simply wonderful people who truly care about their patients. They take care of both the pets and the owners. I would highly recommend this veterinarian to my friends and family.
As with many of the other negative comments about Rockhill, the issues we experienced dealt with lack of professionalism and fees. Rockhill will use any excuse to charge you (without discussing or asking). Our experience has been that when going in for a specific concern, they run tests, draw blood, and don't ask before doing anything. When you leave, you receive a bill for things you didn't approve or understand. Pam, who deals with their customer complaints was extremely rude when trying to voice concerns. We are taking our pets and money elsewhere, I suggest you do the same.
They take such great care of my pup Rosie! Anytime she goes in they always give me a a follow-up call to to make sure she's doing okay. In addition they're all so informative and answer all of my crazy dog mom questions!
Grooming is fantastic, and we've had great boarding experiences there too. Our little (sometimes difficult) dog, Gus, seems to really love the staff there, and it's clear they enjoy seeing him too!
Everyone here is SO NICE! I am pleasantly surprised how much they really care about your pet! I rarely write reviews but this place is pretty wonderful.
I feel comfortable taking my kitten to the Rockhill Pet Clinic and trust RPC to give my baby the very best care. He has respiratory issues and Rockhill has been fantastic about helping get him on the right medications. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Most all of them have their own pets their insight into toys and products that really go over well with pets is invaluable. They always offer me a water or a coffee when I have an appointment and the veterinarians are always on time. I've never had to wait long. The lobby and rooms are clean and comfortable. Most importantly my cat feels comfortable being there. He loves the attention and treats he receives. I've never owned my own pet before, and I'm happy to have Rockhill on my team.
I really like the staff here. They take their time and answer questions in a non rushed way. I tend to be a nervous pet owner and they're always kind to both of us.
They have my and Malo's full confidence and gratitude.
The staff at the Rockhill Pet Clinic does a great job explaining everything thoroughly. This dedication shows that they truly care about your pet. The staff and the services that they provide are amazing. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking veterinary services.
I have been with Dr. Stewart since the 1980s, at the former location. She & her staff have given professional and loving care over the years to my past and current cats and/or dogs. Because of them, my current Kitty is alive after a serious attack by a pit bull a couple of years ago. My family and I are forever grateful!
I came here from a premier practice in the DC Metro area, expecting a lesser experience for my two Standard Poodles and my two Domestic Shorthairs. What I got, however, was nothing less than my DC experience. I'm hooked, and I will not look further for my pets' care. No way! And I live MILES from Rockhill. Worth every mile!
Rockhill pet clinic is the best place for my dog in every way. They have the best healthcare, boarding and grooming. Everyone there is kind and loves pets, they are super knowledgeable and very professional.
The entire staff is always friendly and my animals receive great care.
The staff made Sporty feel so good, he clearly wasn't thinking about his surgery. He was too distracted with flirting!
I want to thank all the staff at Rockhill Pet Clinic for taking care of a difficult problem. Our Feral rescue was suffering from matted fur and try as I might I could not groom him and it was affecting his behavior. After consultation it was decided a lion shave and wash would be the best solution. What a great Idea, completely changed his temperament and now I can get him used to being brushed again. Thanks you Candice for the recommendation!
Do not take your pet here. They charge ridiculous rates and make you feel guilty every time you say no about elective procedures. The doctor told me she would get back to me after doing additional research regarding my cats dental disease and it’s been over 2 months and I have yet to hear back.
We've taken both of our cats here for years for everything from nail trimming to shots and emergency checkups. The staff is warm and friendly, and we've always had a positive and caring experience. Scheduling an appointment is easy, and prices are always fair!
Super quick, caring and thorough service with great recommendations. I'll be bringing my dog here regularly.
All the staff at Rockhill are so kind & helpful! They talk through treatment options & cost. They consult outside specialists when needed. They all seem genuinely excited to see your pets & are very cheerful! It's clear they take excellent care of their patients as well as their staff :)
Nice friendly staff
They treat my dog like it is their own! My seven-pound dog bounds up the front stairs and when she enters staff cheers her name. She is so excited to be there. Their boarding is excellent - giving her so much attention and love - it is the most comforting feeling in the world when dropping her off for a stay. They have treated her for everything from being over weight to a sprained tail, from a mystery lump on her leg to dental care - all of which has been wonderful! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rockhill Pet Clinic!!!
I love the care they give to my dog. I have even recommended them to friends who take their pets here. The staff is great, loving and caring for our pets. When i pick up my dog from boarding there, he never wants to come home. They really spoil your pet but will let you know immediately if there is a problem or concern. I highly recommend them!
Not only do I love the experience of using Rockhill Pet Clinic, so does my beloved dog, Cupcake Wilson. She loves the staff, the medical care, grooming and spa treatments.
Zelda loves Rockhill!! She too was a rescue with many health problems. We were able to take care of her health problems and Zelda is doing so much better. Vet bills can be a real budget buster but Rockhill staff helped us with selecting the best treatment for Zelda and our budget.
My dog was neutered in 2009,after that he wouldn't let a Vet touch him. In March 2016 he started having seizures for 5 months straight. The sixth pet clinic I called the nurse referred me to Rockhill Pet Clinic where she takes her dog.I called, explainedI had a 89 lb pitbull who wouldn't let a Vet touch him anymore. She gave me an appointment and told me what to do before bringing him in.After going into the clinic I couldn't believe how the whole staff took the time and patience with my dog.For the next appointment I didn't think I would be able to afford the tests and vaccinations but the nurse showed me how to do that also.I took him in August,he was put on medication, and he didn't have a seizure in August.I love the staff of Rockhill Pet Clinic. They are the best.I thought I was going to lose my protector.
We all love this place, even our pets, which is saying something when we all know that most pets HATE the doctors office!!
20 years, 4 dogs and 1 cat later, Rockhill Pet Clinic has been our ROCK. With the compassion and experience combined, I couldn't ask for a better vet clinic. The staff is always honest and pateint when it comes to dealing with rescues we bring in.
Really friendly and thorough! She knew everything about my Newfoundland!
The staff and veterinarians were the extremely kind and caring. It was obvious to me that they care deeply for the animals entrusted to their care. The vet was thorough and took time to explain and answer all of my questions. Highly recommend this place.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THE STAFF AND TOTALLY APPRECIATE THE WAY THAT THEY TAKE CARE OF MY PUPPY.Koolio :) I have to be at work at 730am, so it is helpful that when I get to the clinic, they quickly get me in instead of making me wait... That is so awesome and that way I am not late to work by no more than 5 minutes or so. Thank you all so much for the extra smiles and conversation that you give too. In a world where NEGATIVITY is at an all time high, it is SO REFRESHING to see a smile from the staff. You are my favorite Pet Clinic! God bless!!!!!
I love Rockhill Pet Clinic. They were so kind to Kat and I. Totally looking forward to my next visit.
Our dog had a strange bump on her leg that had appeared overnight. It was hindering her ability to walk, she had little energy, and would rarely eat. We spent 3 weeks and almost $1000 trying to figure out what it was. The vet swore up and down that it was a torn cruciate (spoiler: it wasn't). They quoted the surgery $1800-2300, which is more than we could afford but kept pushing towards it. So we looked for other quotes We got in touch with an organization that was going to help us pay for the surgery, but we had to use another clinic. We brought her in for surgery and the other vet took one look at our dogs leg and said it was a tumor, and was not even close to being a torn cruciate. After a biopsy, we discovered it was stage 4 cancer and our dog only had months to live and we had to put her down. The only plus was that the staff was very friendly, though I do not recommend you use this clinic. If you do, make sure you get a second opinion.
It was Saturday and they were nearly closing when we took our dog there, but they let us have a vet examine our dog. Nice atmosphere as everyone there seemed nice. The cost was not bad at all, I thought. We'll go back there.
Everyone here is so genuine! I brought my cat Salem in here with a high fever and lethargic behavior and they were thorough with figuring out what was wrong, and I could tell they truly cared about figuring out the problem. Dr. Patricia Stewart sat down and talked out his results with us, and hand wrote care notes for us to take home. I would definitely recommend this vet clinic!
The wonderful people at Rockhill Pet Clinic have taken care of my pets for about thirty years and I've never been disappointed but this morning they went above and beyond. We found two German Shepherds running loose early in the morning so we went and knocked on their door an hour before they even opened. Debbie let us in and scanned the dog. She kept the dog at the clinic until the owners could be found and also kept us posted. All turned out well for the wayward German Shepherds. And, by the way, this isn't the first time they've helped in a rescue situation. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my pet care. Thanks, Debbie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was nervous about leaving my dog for the first time over night. He's extremely anxious and scared of other humans and animals. When we dropped him off someone came in the room and made the hand over so easy and seamless. When I picked him up I could tell he has been treated really well. We will 100% be coming back next time we have to use a boarding service.
My family has been taking our cats to rockhill for year and years. They have always treated our animals like family. When our cat was suffering, and I struggled with making his end of life decisions, they were kind and worked with me until I was ready. Two staff members came to my house for the procedure so that my senior cat did not have to be stressed by going to the vet's office. They talked to Sherlock and reassured him. It was so comforting to see how much they cared about my cat, when they see so many and have to help with hard decisions so often. I didn't feel at all like they were rushing to get away to the next thing or worrying about the next task. They took the time to come to my house and to truly be present with my cat and I through a painful moment. They even cried with me. A couple years later, a male barn cat at my work was suffering from UTI's and urethral blockage. The first time I took him to his usual vet, who prescribed us some pills and sent us on our merry way, but the problem kept coming back and I didn't like the way his vet treated him like just a barn cat. So I brought him to Rockhill and explained the situation. That he isn't my cat; the owner would rather euthanize than deal with his vet expenses; lives outside. They treated him like a valued family member and helped me get his UTI problems under control. Knowing that he wasn't my cat yet, they worked with me financially so that I could afford to get him the care he needed. Because of Rockhill, he's alive, happy and has been adopted my family. He's feeling extremely grateful to be an indoor cat now after his near death experience. I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Stewart and Dr. V., Allison, Debbie and the rest of the staff. Their personal connections to the patients, their respect and care is not at all a facade. They work extremely hard every day to make sure the patients and the owners feel cared for. It's clear that they're in this profession because they love animals, but the patience I have seen the staff members exhibit is really what makes this team so special. For as long as my family has cats, we'll be taking them to Rockhill.
Looks like I'm not the first person to have a puppy die after trying desperately to get some care from Rockhill. I took my puppy in to Rockhill yesterday because she'd been having diarrhea for at least four days, but finally lost her appetite and was throwing up clear liquid when I took her out of her kennel yesterday morning. As someone who only makes enough money to get by, I don't take my animals to the vet unless I'm sure something is wrong, and since I only got the puppy last week I thought it might be the transition to a new house/food/etc. that might have caused her loose stools. The vomiting and loss of appetite made it clear she needed attention, however, as she was all of a sudden lethargic and wanted nothing to do but sleep. I take her to Rockhill and get her examined by a nurse/doctor/etc. They take her temperature and say "okay well we don't know what's wrong with her but here's all the tests we can do to see what might be going on." They handed me a gargantuan list of tests, with none of them being more "likely" or "comprehensive," which left me with basically $700 worth of tests that were all recommended in order to find out what was wrong with her. I simply didn't have the money (I only had $150 in my bank account yesterday) and had come to their clinic after reading very positive reviews and hearing they were affordable. They recommended the Care Credit that I always hear so much about every single time I go to a vet office, but all the times I have applied for it, I've never been approved. ISN'T VETS/CREDIT/ETC. SUPPOSED TO HELP PEOPLE GET THE CARE THEY NEED WHEN THEY CAN'T AFFORD IT. NOT SLAM THEIR DOORS IN YOUR FACE? So instead of doing anything to help me, they took her temperature, gave me absolutely no information at all, and charged me $50. Guess what? Today, my puppy died because of parvo. Thanks a lot, Rockhill. You should be ashamed at your business practices. Letting someone go...no, it's not even about me, but letting a SICK and DYING ANIMAL go because you can't get your money is absolutely SHAMEFUL. I will tell everyone I know to avoid you like the plague. Any medical office that operates like this should be shut down. $50 to be told they can't do anything...disgusting.
I've been taking our dog here for years - was recommended by another friend. Staff and Vets are all very friendly and will usually give several options for treatment for me to decide how to treat our dog. They're prompt on filling prescriptions and always call back a day or two after treatment to see how our dog is doing. Can tell they genuinely care.
We generally are happy with the care we get there, but their prices are creeping up and up. The pet insurance they go with is some obscure company that is not rated. We may have to switch.
It's difficult to overstate how grateful we are to the vets and staff at Rockhill for their compassion, knowledge, skill and wisdom regarding the care of our dogs and, just as importantly, their care of us. We recently had to make the awful and difficult decision to put down our little energetic, loving, firecracker of a dog -- Dotty. She wasn't very old, but she was having so many problems that couldn't be resolved. The folks at Rockhill had been treating her over the past two years and we are thoroughly convinced that Dotty's life was so much better and easier because of the care she received there. When the time came to decide, we felt that we needed to move quickly. We received such great counseling and support from everyone at the clinic, and such compassionate and loving care for Dotty right up to the very end. To know that we had such support was crucial to us as we mourned our girl. And then we received a beautiful arrangement of flowers and a heartfelt note of sympathy just a few days afterwards! The folks at Rockhill are wonderful. They know that you and your pets are a family, and they treat your family as if it were their own. We'll always be grateful for their care.
Very friendly and professional. About average costs for services. We enjoy taking our dog here for grooming.
This was the first time we had come to Rockhill Pet Clinic. The staff was very friendly to me and my cat. My cat, York's, seemed very comfortable from the very beginning. I was extremely happy with all our pet services we received during our visit. Thank you
They communicate well, following up on the health of my babes a few days after an appointment.
At Rockhill, I know that my cats are getting top-notch, loving care. The fact that my four cats are now 11 to 17 years old and in good health speaks volumes about the type of care that the doctors provide for them.
Easy choice. My neighbor recommended them so I gave them a shot and loved the experience. They worked around my schedule, handled my pup with care and the customer service was on point! Highly recommend, you wont regret it.
Dr Stewart and the staff at Rockhill have always been so compassionate and caring towards our dogs. We never feel rushed, an experience we've had at other local vet offices. They take time to really understand and care. They also recommend holistic sort of treatments which is great, and offer accupuncture.
I can't say enough about Dr. Gardner, Debbie, his entire staff, their care, thoroughness, and genuine love for animals. They were the "second opinion" vet that I consulted for my dog's torn CCL (ACL in humans), and I am so glad that I went through with the appointment!! He did my lab's surgical repair on his knee, and I have been very impressed with his cutting edge knowledge, his passion, skill as a surgeon, and compassion. He is fairly priced, goes above and beyond normal vet care, and provided surgical options that the big emergency clinics didn't. Included in the surgical price, were all the follow up appointments where Dr. Gardner closely monitored the my pup's progress, while doing cold laser therapy treatments for accelerated repair. As a result, my lab is 3 weeks ahead of schedule in healing!! I am so thankful that we found Rockhill Pet Clinic, and that we didn't go with the older options of repair most places offer. They would not have done for my dog what the TIghtline surgery did! Recovery time was weeks less, it was less expensive, and provided a stronger repair. If you have any CCL (ACL in humans) needs for your pet, Dr. Gardner and his staff are by far your best bet!!
Our pets are now and always have been honored members of the family -- and, thanks in part to Rockhill Pet Clinic -- thankfully long lived. The wonderful folks at Rockhill have provided exceptional and attentive care to both the family's cats and dogs, such good care, in fact, that for a number of years I regretted the fact that I couldn't find a "human doctor" to match the care of my pets' doctor!
I have been taking my dogs and cats to Rockhill Pet Clinic for the last 20 years. Dr. Stewart is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. She has given the very best care to each and everyone of my pets. I've never had to go anywhere else to receive the most up to date veterinary care. They offer everything you need to keep your pets healthy and happy. The staff here is so friendly and I regard them as members of my extended family. I feel lucky to have found this gem and I encourage you to give them a try. If you want your furry friends to have a wonderful experience and receive excellent care bring them to Rockhill Pet Clinic!
It's clear that they care!! When you really need their services, they are amazing! Highly recommended.
We have been taking our pets to Rockhill for quite some time now. I am very satisfied with their services and the amount of love and care they show to every animal.
Dr. Stewart and her organization has been my vet since moving to KC area in 2009. Everyone at Rockhill Pet Clinic is great. Any time I call for medicine or an appointment I am assisted quickly, professionally and courteously. As soon as we walk into the Clinic we are recognized. Thank you Dr. Stewart, Dr. Vodraska., Debbie, Alison, and the rest of the team for taking great care of Sweetie and Eli.
Horrible service with a desk kid that has a ceaser complex.they used to be so nice until this child was hired. We had made an appointment for our dog who has shown signs of a limp leg with rash since our vet is closed on friday. Once we arrived we were informed he would not take our word that we were current on our shots. Why would we have not had vaccinated while there if we didn't have lol. We would have brought with us knowing our reg vet was closed but he forgot to mention on the phone so now my poor dog is going to be itching himself bloody over the weekend or will have to take to er vets.i bet they will mention form on phone or will not require.then as we were leaving this little kid came running after us to be confrontational. Why would he have had anythingvto saybother than he was sorry for nit mentioning on the phone. I am partially disabled without benefits lol and walk with a cane which really took it out of me.
Our cat was having a "bad-hair-day" all month so we contacted Rockhill for their professional help. The people there were kind and considerate of our dilemma. They gave us a very good deal for a hair cut, shampoo, and annual exam including her shots at a reasonable price. Our cat loved her new look and looks forward to getting groomed each year. Thanks people at Rockhill Pet Clinic.
The staff at Rockhill have provided the expert, patient, understanding care in handling and providing care for my dogs that immediately distinguishes them as people who care about animals' welfare. Their fees are reasonable and competitive, the staff are friendly, and I'm glad to have been referred to this clinic.
My wife Jan and I have been taking our little dog, Bimmer, to Rockhill Pet Clinic since he was a small puppy. They have been the most caring, loving and knowledgeable vet clinic we have ever used. Bimmer was attacked in our yard by a large dog and when I called the clinic at closing time, they said to bring him right in. When we arrived all the staff was still waiting for us as Bimmer is a pretty special guy to those that work there and they chose to stay. He was in very bad shape and they arranged for us to take him to an ICU unit in Overland Park. They were waiting for us at the door and took him right in. We were told it did not look good but I'm happy to say our little guy is a fighter and after many prayers went up he is still with us today. We also had a black lab, Jake, who was also cared for by Dr. Stewart during his last days with us and although it was a very difficult time for us, the staff was so understanding and comforting it made the loss easier to accept just knowing we had made the right decision for Jake. We then found a little stray dog and took her into Rockhill to be adopted. Dr. Stewart gave her all her shots and checked her out. We found that she had heartworms and knew no one would adopt her so we decided to have Rockhill proceed with the treatment. Today, Libby is still with us, free of heartworms and a pal to Bimmer. Thanks Rockhill Pet Clinic for the loving care you have given not only to our pets but to us. The doctors, staff and care received are exceptional. One more reason, that although we now live in another city, we still take Bimmer and Libby to KC for boarding and all medical care. We know they are always in good hands.
Having just moved to the area, I had not even had time to get a local vet before my dog needed urgent care. I found the vet nearest me in an emergency situation, and it happened to be Rockhill Pet Clinic. They didn't skip a beat when I arrived with my dog, taking him in immediately and attending to his needs. Thank you so much for your excellent care of my dog. He is on the mend thanks to the staff at Rockhill.
I highly recommend Rockhill Pet Clinic for boarding. I’ve boarded my dog here multiple times for as long as a week while i’m traveling internationally. My pup is a handful and i’ve never had any issues. It’s very affordable. For small additional fee, you can select one-on-be play time. Most boarding places will have all the dogs out for one big play time, but the one-on-one playtime makes me feel less worried since my pup is a trouble maker! The staff is always friendly, they know my pup in a first name basis now, and the facility is always clean.
We have taken our dogs to Rockhill since we got them in 2006. They have a caring staff and genuinely like animals. They were especially compassionate when we had to put a dog with cancer to sleep. They came to the house and were very compassionate. I highly recommend them.
The continuity of service is excellent, there is definitely not a lot of turnover. I have been coming here for years and I have never had a bad experience.
Rockhill was great until I got to the actual veterinarian. The front desk staff (a younger gentleman) was friendly and made me feel welcome. Gave my Luna a treat and just made you feel comfortable. Alison(the vet tech) was so nice and really helpful. She went above and beyond explaining my dogs medication. The veterinarian Dr. Miller was impersonal-able and made me feel guilty for not getting every medication she recommended after I explained my financial situation. Basically when she left the room i felt like she was hinting that I was neglecting my dog. My dog is very well taken care of and fleas happen. I’ll definitely be back, but will ask for a different veterinarian.
We have a 10 month old puppy that we care a lot about. We both work a lot and and are unable to care for Ollie much of the time. We have tried several daycare facilities in our area and we have always felt comfortable leaving him with Rockhill. We have also used there vet services and were pleased with the care and the professional manner in which they operated. They genuinely seemed to care for Ollie and his care. Our only problem with Rockhill is the hours which they operate their day care services they don't stay open as long as the other places which forces us to use other facilities. We do use them as much as possible and for overnight boarding. Very friendly Staff.
The employees really care about your pets and always strive for a good experience. I have never had a bad experience because the service is always excellent. Rockhill Pet Clinic is a place where your pet will be loved by the staff as if it was one of their own.
Very impressed with the friendliness of all the employees. I like the vet's straightforward approach when telling me I was going to lose one of my kittens. It shows that these people truly love animals!
The staff is always so friendly and understanding. I've had to reschedule before because of weather and my problem was met with nothing but kindness. They always tell me what a good kitty my little Slinky is (which obviously I already know that but it's nice to get validation from kitty professionals) and they send friendly reminders for upcoming appointments - which with my busy schedule is a blessing. Thank you Rockhill :)
Our cat, Halo, has had serious health issues over the past six months (kidney stones and a skin condition). Rockhill always brings her back to full health quickly. You won't better, more loving care for your pets than at Rockhill. They are superb!
The folks at Rockhill Pet Clinic have taken care of our small dogs for over a decade. They have consistently provided high quality, compassionate medical care, grooming, and boarding. A big plus is that our pets have always adored the staff and have been excited about going there. EXCELLENT is the word we use to describe the services they provide ... simply EXCELLENT!
No matter what my pets are going through, I know that they are going to receive top notch, loving care at the clinic. I have four cats who are all over ten years old. I believe that alone speaks volume about the Rockhill and the care that they give their animals.
This place is awesome, the staff there is very friendly and compassionate. I had a dog who had cancer back in 2011 and eventually had to put him down here. Unfortunately I've visited them more recently to put two cats down, one last July and one last month in June. It was the exact same, nothing but a helpful and compassionate staff. I will definitely continue to take my pets there.
The Rockhill Pet Clinic is innovative and holistic. They offer their patients acupuncture which I think is really wonderful. I would highly recommend this pet clinic to anyone looking for boarding, grooming and healthcare for their pet.
Such knowledgeable and caring staff and Drs!! Many clinics do not have a cat groomer available. This clinic has a great cat groomer that can get you in promptly and does a great job at a very fair price. Love this place!
These guys are simply awesome..... My old dog (Wilson) had to be put down over a weekend, and I contacted them to see if they could cancel test results (and i could)... They sent me a condolence card.. you guys have no idea how much that meant(YOU OWN ME NOW)..... Soooo when i got Chuck Norris, he goes there... You guys are great, thank you
They took excellent care of my boy. Physical, shots, and a bath in one appointment. Staff is friendly and profession.
I am a first time cat owner so I was a little worried about finding a good vet for her. I absolutely love Rockhill Pet Clinic. Every time we have been all of the staff members come up and say hello and pet my kitten. The vet even gave her a kiss goodbye and it was nice to see that they actually do love animals and don't just look at it as a job.
I have been taking my 5 yr old Chocolate lab to Rockhill Pet Clinic for a few years now. They are very compassionate and thorough with Dexter's care. Dr. Stewart and Debbie have not only been very easy to talk to, they are there anytime I have a question no matter how large or small. I am very confident in them and trust them with all my pet's needs. I would highly recommend Rockhill Pet Clinic.
I know my cat will consistently receive excellent care at the Rockhill Pet Clinic. Thank you for your service.
Great friendly staff! Highly recommend this clinic for your pet's needs.
Love this place I can tell that they made Mello (my dog) feel really comfortable..
Rockhill Pet Clinic is a wonderful place to take your pet, they gave us options to addressing the issues with our pets and were attentive to questions. The puppy advice was spot on. Nice kind people.
I've lost track of how many years we've been taking our cats to the Rockhill staff, and have always had great service in every respect - knowledgeable, responsive, compassionate, friendly, you name it. Their connection to each and every animal I've ever seen come through the door has been palpable. I can't imagine going anywhere else.
I've had great experiences with all concerned here. The receptionists are friendly, the nurses helpful, and the doctors quick. My last visit happened during a thunderstorm, and they even walked me to my car with an umbrella so that the cat didn't get wet in her carrier. Great service all around!
The team at Rockhill Pet Clinic have taken care of our dogs for almost 20 years. Stormy, Sunshine, and now Bert & Ernie have been well cared for by these kind people, who really get to know us and our pets. Most recently Bert had an irritated skin tag, which needed to be removed. In doing so the doctor found that the adjoining skin was discolored. Fortunately, when tested it proved to be non-cancerous. Yay! Meanwhile, Bert had stitches and got to wear the infamous cone for a few weeks. He's doing much better, and all is well thanks to the good care he received - and always receives - at Rockhill Pet Clinic.
Excellent, top-notch care for our dog.
