I switched to Piper from a vet I'd been seeing for 7+ years after a few experiences that made me question the quality of care my dogs were receiving. I am a very selective and careful person, especially when it comes to my dogs. I was extremely impressed with my first visit to Piper. Dr. Nezerka thoroughly examined my dogs, and made special arrangements for my German Shepherd who has vet anxiety due to a long stay at KSU for a spinal injury (also HIGHLY recommend KSU for complicated procedures). I feel confident in the care Dr. Nezerka provided for my dogs and will be using Piper as my primary vet.

i've just started coming here for the past three months and the prices are pretty good considering the medication and shots needed. they're quick to get you in and out for appointments (as long as you're on time) and the vets are awesome. the people here are great, too! everyone is full of smiles and so friendly.

Best veterinary practice you could ever go to. These people are like family to us. Even after we moved from the area, we still drive 25 minutes to take our pets here. The doctors always take their time with you and make sure that all of your questions are answered. The receptionists and techs are wonderful too: they take such good care of our fur babies and are some of the most kind, compassionate people you will ever meet. Also, I've never been to a vet practice that can beat Piper Heritage on pricing. We really love this place - if you live close enough to take your pets here, I highly recommend doing so. You won't regret it!

I've never experienced a vet who answers all your questions, doesn't act like they're in a hurry to move onto the next customer and treats you with the upmost respect. The staff is wonderful here. My dad's dog had an emergency with his paw, and after calling 7 plus vets, Piper Heritage got him in. I explained that he waa grumpy and they were fine. Dr. Niles is AMAZING. They stitched him up and had us on our way. We have an appointment in October for his shots there. They were so wonderful my dad switched vets.

You just cannot find a better clinic for your pet. From the front office staff, to the clinic technicians, to the doctors they all excel at making your pet and you feel comfortable. They take the time to answer questions and always greet you with a smile. We have never felt hurried or unwelcome. On top of all of this their facility is brand new, top notch and very clean.

Biggest waste of money I have ever spent. I took my dog here on an emergency basis, he had bloody clear stools and wouldn’t eat or drink all in about 12 hours. I was very impressed and ready to write a 5 Star review based on the lady on the phone and how quick they could get me in for an appointment. Plus when I arrived 30 minutes early they got me in before my appointment time. I went here based on two other clinics who did not have any appointments open on a Thursday until the following week and I knew my dog would not make it that long without a doctor. When I went in I told Dr. Adley(SP?) how much I had to spend and agreed to an x-ray as well as an over night stay with fluids. Without my consent (yes I filled out the form for them to call me before doing anything other than what we discussed) they did 3 more x-rays and sent them off to the radiologist (radiologist said looked fine), did a Parvo test (Came back negative) and blood work (came back fine) without notifying me. When I told the Doctor that’s not what we discussed he said well we didn’t charge you for the IV and fluids that the dog used over night and he used 3x more than what a dog would typically get... I did agree to a medicine for worms which I did not think my dog has but at this point I would try anything. This is a emotional support dog for one of my children and myself. It is Tuesday going on Wednesday of the next week and now my other dog has stopped eating, is now vomiting and has diarrhea as well. When I called to talk to The Doctor he had left for the day and the other doctor can’t tell me much without seeing my dog which would be another fee... I still have no answers and no direction to turn except to possibly lose my two dogs.

Poor customer service since moving to the new location. Had to mention it, saw minor improvement. Back to driving to Oskaloosa for the vet, though. This place couldn't keep flea medication straight. I personally don't think the receptionist should be the one giving out multiple doses of flea treatment. These are prescription meds. Mostly disappointing, or maybe I care about my animals more than the average pet-owner.

This is not the place to take your dog to if they are having incontinence issues and see Dr Nigel, My dog had crystals in her urine and a high PH level. He had me bring my dog in and put her under to get a urine sample and never told me she had a high PH or crystals, He then did heart worm testing on both of my and it was un-necessary, I ask him if me would refer me to a specialist if my dogs incontinence issues did not get better, He never returned my phone call. My dog is better now and it was as simple as a food change and seeing a vet who cared, No thanks to Dr Nigel and costing me over 800.00 for nothing,
