My family and I have been taking all of our cats to this clinic for 17 years, and at first, we thought that this Veterinary Clinic was great, and that all of our pets have been well taken care of. All of my opinions of this place went out of the window when last month, on October 12th, my 15-year-old cat Ash fell and hurt his leg. We decided to take him to Little Apple Veterinary Clinic, where they actually weighed him and took x-rays (they NEVER did these two important things at Konza). Turns out, not only did our sweet Ashiboy have Pulmonary Edema, he also had a very twisted colon; every time he was evaluated at Konza, the vets kept telling us that he was healthy and that nothing was wrong. He was suffering, and he had to be put down that very same day. I am extremely disappointed in Konza, and I had lost all faith in this clinic. Do NOT ever take ANY animal to this place if you don't want disaster to happen. This establishment is extremely ignorant, illegitimate, and should be shut down effective immediately. I urge you yet again, if you love your pets, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO KONZA VETERINARY CLINIC.

I really love Konza Veterinary Clinic because Deb is a outstanding Vet. She really cares for the animals and does a very good job at it. It is recommended to make an appointment but if it's an emergency they will get you in. Her staff are very nice and they always welcome you in with a smile. I've been taking my dogs there for the past 10 years and have never ever had a problem. When your furry friend is not doing well she and her staff will ask every possible question about what is going on with your pet. If she's not sure what may be wrong she'll do some lab work to find out what may be going on, take their temperature and so on. She will figure out as to what is wrong with your pet. She also does surgery if needed, lab work. The only thing she dose not do at the clinic is x-rays. But she takes them to k-state vet for the x-rays. They also send out reminders every year for your pets shots.I do highly recommend her to be your veterinarian for your furry loved ones. I do believe you will love her as much as i do.

Just picked my cat up from being declawed and learned because my bill was higher than quoted, that he was not under when his surgery was done!!!! They knew his age and weight. However her office staff is probably the worst ever.and it's not just this current office staff it's been like this for years I don't know if she just hires anybody off the street or people that don't know how to deal with customers or people that just aren't knowledgeable enough to work in a vet's office but the office staff leave something to be desired to say the least. But if you can deal with the incompetence of the office staff and get an appointment with Dr. Deb she is absolutely fabulous her prices are competitive. She's knowledgeable and very loving.

The staff is patient and kind. They answer questions on the phone anytime. They always give you plenty of information and answer questions to the fullest. They are good with dogs who are aggressive. They never made my dog, that is aggressive in certain situations, feel uncomfortable and were so patient with him. The prices are great and they always have availability for appointments. Every time I have taken my dog here to get diagnosed for a problem, the diagnoses ended up wrong. Had no idea what they were talking about. I ended up taking my dog to a different vet who knew exactly what was going on to fix the problem. The only reason anyone should ever take their dog there is for shots and that is it, they know nothing else.

I started taking my two year old male cat there on 8/30/13 for a urinary issue. He was constantly going to the litter box and was not acting like himself. I made an appointment and went there to drop my cat off because I work full time. I was first greeted by the awful smell of pet urine. The floors are dirty and the woman working the desk acted like I was an inconvenience to have even been there. The door to "Dr. Deb's" office opened and the place is a MESS! They barely asked any questions and took my cat back for a urine analysis. I had planned to pick him up after work and had to call them to find out if they had even done anything. Overall, very unattentive and rude. When I did pick him up, they sent me home with medicine and barely any instruction on how to give him the medicine and any reactions that he might have. Now, fast forward to the end of October and his problem is still not fixed after taking him there several more times. I continued to take him there since we had already started the process with them and felt that eventually the problem would be fixed. There was a time over labor day weekend where they were closed and I called Dr. Deb on her cell phone. I agree with some of the other comments that she is a nice and laid back person but that does not mean that the vet clinic she runs is well managed. I do realize that urine issues with male cats can be difficult to fix but Konza vet has not made me feel like they care about the health of my cat.

Zakk was just less than a year old when we first took him to Konza for shots and then neutering. Zakk is now 10 and 1/2 years = 73-74 in dog years. As I am widowed and have a meager income, I made the decision to find a new home for Zakk. I have a friend who took Zakk in and recently, his mother of 84 years took Zakk for her own companionship as her pet. I am thrilled to say that it was a good choice for Zakk, for her and for myself. I was referred to Dr. Deb by my boyfriend's Mom. I did my research online and was surprised to find a few bad reviews. After my experience today I am shocked to see anything but five stars. As pet owners, we are very picky about who we take our babies to. I can't say enough good things about the clinic! The staff were knowledgeable, helpful, and very friendly. Dr. Deb was incredible with my puppy. She was patient, tender, and very in tune with him. I am very pleased with Konza Vet Clinic. I couldn't have asked for better service and because of that I will never go elsewhere! I recommend this clinic to any in the Manhattan area. No matter the breed or animal type!

Used this vet for a few years and had many bad experiences including (but not limited to) rough handling of canine, far too tight of sutures on feline spaying, and carrying full cat carrier with no regard for feline in said carrier. All of this pales in comparison to the latest. A week ago, we took in our rescue kitten. They claimed he had no fleas or worms (no test was given but the Dr. said twice "no fleas or worms"). Then last night, a week later, I discovered tapeworm segments around the kitten's anus. It is impossible for the kitten to get and grow a tapeworm infection to that size in the course of a week. Our other cats have begun to show symptoms of infection as well. (All our cats are indoor.) If you love your furry members of your home, do not take them here. We can overlook some issues but a parasitic infestation so advanced that has now spread to others and can infect the humans of the house as well is completely unacceptable.

If you are looking for a vet in the manhattan and surrounding areas, I strongly encourage you to check out Konza Vet Clinic. I have two Shorkie puppies (Yorkie/Shitzu mix) and they have had their fair share of health issues. Doctor Deb is absolutely amazing. She actually listens to what you have to say, she takes the time to make sure that your animal(family member) is actually getting the proper care they need to live long and happy lives. She is amazing! All of the issues they have had she knows exactly what it is, and what medication to put them on to make the issue better. She doesn't over charge you for anything. It feels like it is at cost what she charges, which makes me truly believe she is in it for the animals and their owners, and wants you to come back. Other vet clinics have no problem charging you 100's and 100's of dollars for things, and Konza has always been the cheapest way to go, and you get even better service than the other clinics. She also remembers who you are and what your animals characteristics are like. She loves animals and it shows in the care she gives them. Getting an appointment is super easy too! If your animal is really sick and needs to be seen that day they will work you in so that you can get your animal back to 100% in no time! I am so thankful that I found Konza vet clinic. I will be going to her for a very long time!

took my 1.5yr old rescue GSD for a wellness exam. they were friendly on the phone, able to get me in a decent appointment, and pricing was of average value and I was recommended to them by a co-worker. I had warned them on the phone that he was a big dog and not very well socialized, they said that was fine. When we went back to see the vet my dog did not like her trying to touch his backend. He growled at her and she made me put a muzzle on him, having never been in one, that only agitated him more. Although I do understand and agree with her reasoning to put on one. She kept telling him he was bad and naughty because he wouldnt hold still for her and had two people trying to hold him down on the floor. He was very stressed and it was hard for me to watch him like that and being spoken to like that. I told her I'd never taken him to the vet and she said " its not a vet thing, its a people" which I agree he hasnt been exposed to that much but she was very condescending and kept making comments like "I cant hold onto his collar because she has it on him so loose" I dont use the collar to restrain him! I use a harness, which he was wearing. I think she was frustrated with him which caused her to say some passive aggressive things to me. I asked her if she could loosen something on him and she said i'm not taking the muzzle off, OK not what I asked. It was extremely hot in the room and he was panting hard through the muzzle.She asked me if I wanted to leave the room but I didnt want to leave because who knows what they would've done to restrain him. She then told the vet techs that they should stop because "he's stressed because mom's stressed". I think she was just flustered with my dog because once they stopped he was fine and laid there on the floor. She began speaking to me in a more appropriate way but that was the end of our "wellness" exam. All I got out of it was his weight and that I'm never going back there again! They kept pushing vaccinations on me and they weren't patient or understanding about my dog even though on the phone they said it was ok. I can't believe I had to pay $40 to get him weighed and then her restrain him for the next 10 minutes. She shouldn't have kept pushing to check out his back-end, she could've taken the blood or seen how he would react to it because after that fiasco she said she couldn't do anything else with him because of how bad he was. Regret it so much, such a waste of time and money! I know my dog is difficult and I'm taking the steps necessary to help him achieve the best version of him, but I felt like she didnt give him a chance to be good for her.

I took my pup there. Two times within a week because they couldn’t get what was wrong with her correct. She then had surgery and was cut open 5 times for a foreign body. The vets are ridiculous. And now my pup doesn’t get to live to see another day. I brought my kitten in because he had been urinating outside of his litterbox and there was blood when I cleaned it up. I took in a sample which they tested via strip and only stated thatvthere was too much protein in his urine (duh there's protein in blood which was in his urine). I was sent home with an anti inflammatory for the excess protein. Later i brought him in for a neutering thinking they would check his urine which is routine at many other vet clinics. It didn't get better for him at all. I brought him into Candlewood vet and found out he had a severe uti. We gave him a 14 day shot and he's not better. He has bladder stones now! All because this uti had been misdiagnosed by people who need to brush up their technology to better fit the animals they are attempting to care for.

It pains me to write a negative review but my experience here has been awful. I took my cat to Konza on Friday because his stomach was slightly bloated. The vet spent about 5 minutes in the room with me, took his temperature (which was fine), felt his tummy for about 20 seconds, and then told me that it was probably FIP. For those of you who do not know, FIP is a deadly, incurable disease caused by a mutation of coronavirus. The wet form of FIP will kill your cat in a few weeks, and the dry form will take about a month. Of course I was distraught. I didn't know too much about FIP at the time besides how lethal it was, and the vet wouldn't give me any information on the disease or why she thought it was FIP or discuss any other options it might be. She told me we could do some bloodwork to see if he had FIP, and that I should have my other cat checked for it as well. (I learned afterwards that FIP is NOT known to be transmitted cat to cat, so getting my other cat checked was also pointless). That was strike 2. I didn't know at the time so I paid the $70 for their bloodwork to be done, but the test for FIP is NOT a conclusive test. It merely tests for whether or not your cat has antibodies produced from coming in contact with coronavirus. So, about 40-50% of cats will test positive for this, but in only 1% of cases does coronavirus actually mutate into FIP. Not to mention they have STILL not called me with the results of their test. (I got the bloodwork sent in Friday and now it is Wednesday.) Strike three: my cat's ears. I found my cat as a stray originally and he had scabs behind his ears and definitely had some ear mites going on. I had him on mite medication for a while and it had helped a lot but didn't seem to completely eradicate everything going on with his ears, as I still kept getting dark brown gunk out of them when I cleaned them. The vet cleaned his ears for me and told me that she didn't see any mites so it was probably just random debris and he would be fine after she cleaned it for me. She didn't look at it under a microscope or do any testing or she would have discovered my cat had a yeast infection in both of his ears. I took both of my cats to Little Apple on Monday for a second opinion. They told me about his yeast infections, spent over 2 hours in the room with me discussing his symptoms, diet, lifestyle, etc. After scanning his stomach I was told there was no fluid buildup (which would have been the cause of the bloat if it was FIP) and that it looked like he had some gas buildup. The vet there told me he probably just wasn't processing the food I'd switched them over to very well and so I am switching him back to the old brand I was using. The vet here at Konza told me after a few minutes and ONE symptom that my cat had FIP. Little Apple spent hours with me discussing my cat and doing a few tests and told me it was something as simple as him not processing his new food well. I am sorry to say I will not be coming back to Konza.
