I have 3 cats that I've had taken care of at Carbondale Pet Clinic numerous times. This includes standard shots, spaying, check-ups, health concerns, etc. Everyone has always been nice and professional - office staff and vets alike. They are also inexpensive. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a vet in the area.

I've known Dr. Tucker for many years and have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. King and the newer staff members! As for their care of my animals they have been amazing! They even cried with me when I had to put down a beloved cat this last year due to him being hit by a car. You can't get more personal than that I think! They always give all our other fur babies the absolute best love and care when we come in! Can't say enough great things about these ladies!

Couldn't wish for any better care than they give my beloved Ginger. Less important, but as an added bonus, they are significantly less expensive than my past vets as well. Well worth the brief drive from Topeka.

We boarded our three dogs there for a week. One of our dogs wasn't behaving normally so they examined him and found he had numerous bladder stones and was getting quite sick because of them. They called us and thoroughly explained his condition and the options we had. They performed surgery to correct his condition and, due to complications, they've had to perform two more. They volunteered to donate the last surgery. It's been touch and go and, while he's still not entirely out of the woods, he's doing much better and we're hopeful we'll be able to bring him home in a couple of days. The staff has been very considerate and accommodating. They have even arranged to meet us after hours so we could visit our sick companion. They have gone way beyond what a lot of veterinarians, in our experience, would have. They certainly detected a life threatening condition and thus far have saved our pet's life. We're very grateful to them for their efforts and kind compassion and would recommend to anyone to entrust them with the care of their pets.

I took a dog in about 1.5 weeks ago and I have tried to find his owners to no avail. I am having trouble keeping him because he continues to try to escape and runs off, he is not afraid of the highway at all... scary! I have 2 small dogs that he gets along with but I fear they will follow him and I will all of them. I called the humane society in Topeka and they said they couldn't take him because I do not live in their county...really?!!? so she said to call some locals vets, and I have, this being one of them. I was informed that they could take him but it would cost me $200.00, WHAT?! I am supposed to pay 200$ for doing the right thing and trying to find this boys home, and not just let him run wild and get run over by a car... no thanks. I was shocked. I can't imagine charging someone that amount of money for helping an animal in need. I will never darken their door step you can bet your bottom dollar on that. RIDICULOUS!

All I can say is great things about Carbondale Pet Clinic, the staff are great. I had to board my dog, they were great, I called everyday to check on my dog and they were always happy to give me an update on him, they encouraged me to call everyday if that is what I wanted to do. I also had my dog fixed here and they explained everything they did, what to expect and also called me a couple days later just to check on how my dog was doing. My dog can be very protective around me, to the point that when I had tried to board him at a vet closer to me the vet told me that they could not handle him and that they would not board him. Then I took him to the Carbondale Vet Clinic, not only did they board him, they never had any problems with him and let me board him there again. They are very reasonably priced compared to other Veterinarians. I am so glad I found this place, I feel completely comfortable and safe taking my dog here.

My dog had a hematoma (which was not the first time but was for this ear). This would be the 3rd vet I have gone to in the last 2 years. I wanted a quote, which in this procedure is pretty normal. They said it's a 100.00 dollars. I said okay, I will be down there tomorrow. I dropped him off & as soon as I get to my work, they give me a call and tell me they have to do a test and it's another 50 dollars. I was pretty upset at that point but I said okay. I go and pick my dog up and they then hit me up another 50 dollars. The total came up over 200.00 dollars. At that point, I told them You quoted me 100 yesterday and now you're telling me 200.00. They were quick to adjust the price but the bill still came out to be 135.00. When I finally got home my dog's face was still covered in blood and had an extremely awful smell to him. This is the first time I had a vet lie to me about cost and not clean my dog up after the procedure. I will never take my dog to this place again!!!!

Best vet we've used by far. The staff has always been very friendly to us and our fur babies. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg. When we had to put our cat down they were very sympathetic and helped us through it. They are great with our dogs. I always recommend them to everyone.
