I was on a trip from Duluth to Grand Rapids Minnesota, I had my pet nacho with me who's a Jack Russell Terrier and 13 years old. We didn't get 20 miles out of Duluth and not just started to panic he was like pacing back and forth and had severe anxiety in the truck first time ever so I started call around Grand Rapids area for a vet I called Arrowhead and explain to them that my dog was having severe anxiety and I needed something to relieve his anxiety on the way back home. Could they sneak me in on an emergency basis they said sure when I got there we waited almost an hour and 10 minutes before the vet came in which I understand but the thing that just aggravates me to no end. Is I told them all I need is something for nacho to get him back home that was it. Than the vet pulled out a piece of paper and a pencil and started doing math equations about the medication nachos on now after 15 minutes he tells me just give him a full Tramadol that I already had and that should sedate him enough for on the way home I asked him again could I please just get like an Ativan or something so he can settle down and relax. The vet said no that should do it. I get back out in the lobby they tell me it's $62.50 for the visit "What" !!! Are you kidding me for some clown to do 2nd grade math and nothing else 62.50 B.S. Start to head back to Duluth we're not two miles out of Grand Rapids and he starts his panic attacks again pacing back and forth whining bad, No matter what I tried to get him to take that Tramadol I could not get him to take it so for the next hour and 45 minutes both nacho and I we're so stressed I felt unsafe driving which made things even worse the moral of the story is I've been with nacho for 14 years if he would have just listened to my request everything would have been fine but instead I get no help an hour and 20 minutes later and $62 broker I had to deal with that nightmare, to be fair I'm going to contact that vet and ask him to refund my money if he does I will retract or edit this review otherwise you'd be better off treating your dog yourself then to go to Arrowhead family pet clinic or whatever it's called thank you Jeff.

This is the vet clinic I will use. They've treated my dog my cat my daughter and myself with the respect I'm not used to seeing for a single parent with our concerns. Therapy cat, service dog and nothing there with any of the staff or doc stop me in my tracks the way I've been treated as a disabled person. Thank you Arrowhead for letting use be family there. I don't know much about the other vet in town. I went to Arrowhead as it's closer and we love the staff...

A couple of months ago our dog jumped through our glass window on our screen door and sliced her foot open(like a human slicing open their wrist). To her defense, we had previously taken the glass out of the window and it took awhile for us to find someone who could cut glass for that particular window. Our regular vet was on vacation so we called Arrowhead. We told them the situation, receptionist asked for the breed(Staffordshire/ American Pitbull mix) and said she would call us back. A few minutes later at 5:15(before clinic is even closed) she called us back and said the vet didn't feel like coming back in and then she preceded to give us the WRONG number to a vet she recommended in Ark City. We took our sweet girl to the vet in Ark City. She has completely recovered-no thanks to this vet!

I recommend Dr. K. and the whole staff at Arrowhead. Dr. K. returned my panicked call within a few minutes this past Labor Day evening. He talked me through a simple diagnostic on my 14 yr. old cat who'd taken a sudden turn for the worse, and when it was clear there was no treatment that would help her, was willing to come in for an unscheduled euthanasia to end her pain. He was very gentle and encouraging with the both of us and I am very grateful. I've been a client since 2013 & will take my new cat (when they come into my life) there.

The staff takes AMAZING care of all of my animals. My husband named our pitbull Kraze due to how crazy and hyper he is but every time we bring him in for shots or boarding they are excited to see him. Kraze is afraid of everything!!!! But when we bring Kraze here he is always happy to see everyone and you can see the joy in his face when they work with him. Thank you to all the staff for being so amazing with my furbabies!

Have went here with 4 different dogs over many years. Kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable staff. Best vet outfit I've ever been to. We thought we had our last dog 3 years ago but are getting a new puppy next week. This is the only place I will take her.

This is a Great place to bring your pets. I highly recommend Arrowhead Animal Clinic for your pets medical needs. They go by your pets weight when they give them medicine, and they don't just leave you in the dark. They explain everything that they do, so that you can understand. The medical staff is professional and polite.
