They were very understanding and listened when I explained the issues my cat was having. They didn't immediately try to give me a "one size fits all" answer but they gave me some options and asked me what I thought I wanted to do. They didn't pressure me into returning for another visit (which was nice) but told me to see how things worked and call with questions or come back if I thought I needed to. I liked how they explained my options, didn't rush me out the door, didn't make me feel foolish for my concerns, and didn't push me to return. I have decided to change vets and have returned the them for a few times now. They have continued to give me and my cat the attention and the concern, we were given on that first visit. The front desk staff is friendly and caring also. Coming from Cedar Rapids, they are definitely worth the drive.

The staff and doctors are always so amazing. They fully listen to what is going on and they treat your pets like you would. They have been nothing but kind and gentle to my very shy dog and with my other who loves cookies, they feed him until he forgets where he is. Both of my dogs are not afraid of going and I think it is because of all the extra love and attention they give each and every single pet/owner.

New vet for us - regular one retired. We had a very sick dog and worried about going to someone new. Dr. Falk was wonderful. She listened carefully to all the issues Riley was dealing with and then gave us her diagnoses and suggestions for treating. We left feeling so much better but the real test would be if Riley felt better. Happy to say by the next day he had an almost 100% turnaround! Highly recommend Dr. Falk in particular and all the supporting staff who were also so kind and helpful!

Our cat Lilly had alot of dryness above her tail and up her back, Dr. Oliver was the vet that took care of her and she said Lilly had fleas. Dr. Oliver was very friendly and helpful with providing information for me to help with getting rid of the fleas. She let me know the best way to use and it was to use a flea collar which she kindly put on LIlly for me. I had also taken our cockatiel to Animal Kingdom to have a band removed from his leg which was my first visit here and Dr. Noel removed it. I was comfortable with my experience and I knew I would start taking Lilly here to be treated. I drive from SW Cedar Rapids but it is worth the drive. The vets here care for you and your pets and I recommend this clinic to everyone.

I can't recommend Animal Kingdom enough. They made a huge positive impression on us when we were in the unfortunate position of putting our beloved cat to sleep. When I called to schedule the appointment, crying, they were compassionate and gentle with me. We arrived that evening and the staff had filled out all the paperwork for me---which was good considering I was crying so hard I couldn't have done it myself---and all I needed to do was scribble a signature. They quietly took us directly to a private room where we were given plenty of time to say goodbye to our kitty. When he came in, Dr. Ahern explained what was going to happen, and let us hold Panda while she went to sleep, and he said how sorry he was for our loss, and told us to take all the time we needed. Everyone, from the front desk to the doctor, were gracious and kind, and understood that we were going through one of the worst days of our life in saying goodbye to Panda. For routine care for our dog and cats, they've been fantastic -- even taking the time to learn our kids' names and talking to them during visits, too! They're affordable and kind, and really make you (and your pet!) feel appreciated as a client. I will never go anywhere else for my vet care.

I noticed there are no reviews for this clinic regarding bunnies. I came in with my bunny to get her checked out because we were scared she had ingested something she shouldn't have. I was desperate for answers and I was worried for my bunny. Dr. Noel and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and gave us a warm welcome. Dr. Noel is also extremely knowledgeable about exotic animals, particularly rabbits. My bunny Henri and I will continue to go back to Animal Kingdom to see Dr. Noel for all of Henri's health needs. This clinic is excellent and I highly recommend anyone in the Iowa City/Coralville/surrounding areas with rabbits to see Dr. Noel. We will stay with this vet clinic! GREAT JOB!

From Sara at the front desk (there are other gals at the front desk who I did not have direct interaction with) to Dr Anna - very positive experience. Dr Anna is a true professional who greets you right from the moment she walks in the room (little things mean a lot too in my book..hand shake, acknowledgement, etc!) Very thorough...our dog is older & was literally 'on the floor' for the entire exam - causing Dr Anna to crawl/kneel on the floor to complete what she needed to put together for her consensus on what best direction to treat our dog! Very happy with what I learned that day and how our dog & myself were treated. Felt charges from that visit were reasonable.

Dr. Ahern & Dr. Oliver have been fantastic. We decided to switch Veterinary care centers after talking with a friend and their experience at Animal Kingdom. Robbie Dog first met with Dr. Oliver, and she was very thorough in looking him over and was very curious about him. Dr Oliver did not one bit seem scared of Robbie, as he is a big American bulldog and can be intimidating. Dr. Ahern did the surgery on Robbie, and did a great job on removing the tumor. Ahern made sure I had his contact info in case any questions or concerns might arise.

I love Animal Kingdom. We've been with them for about eight years. They have cared for our Yorkie and many cats. But the love, caring and compassion shown by all the Doctors there is priceless. Making the decision to release our dear Enya, a DSH who was almost 19 years olds was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Animal Kingdom was there with us every step of the way, through all the phone calls to decide what to do and lastly, making her as comfortable as possible in her final moments. Human doctors could learn a thing or two from the Vets at Animal Kingdom.

This vet clinic is light years beyond the surrounding pet clinics in North Liberty and Iowa City in terms of service and care. No attitudes or lack of empathy by the staff. Something that was difficult to find at surrounding pet clinics.

I will never step foot in that office again. Brief synopsis of what happened: I was handed a 4 week old kitten Friday evening at 6PM. I realized it was really sick and hardly slept that night trying to keep it warm and alive. By 8AM when they opened their office, I was really concerned that the kitten may not make the drive over there. I went in and of course I didn't have an appointment (my bad for not knowing that I was going to be handed a dying kitten at least 3 weeks in advance). I went in and told them what was going on and without even looking at the kitten, the lady at the desk said, "We're double booked all morning. We can't help you." She hardly even LOOKED at me while she said that and then went back to looking at her computer. There was absolutely no compassion at all. I will never take an animal of mine to a place that turns away a dying animal without even trying to help. I ended up taking her to an emergency clinic and, yes, they agreed with me that without getting help she most likely wouldn't have made it another night (let alone to Monday when the offices open back up). I am still so mad that I wasted my time there AND that there are people like that working in a veterinary office. Shame on them.

I was very impressed with how the vet greeted my two small girls. He was very gentle, patient and listened to my concerns about going without food and nausea. I am confident my girls will be treated with the greatest of care. I trust these vets and techs! On my part and a reminder to those who have your dogs on a grooming schedule like I do. If your pet is to be groomed soon tell them because they will perform any necessary need such as clipping their nail. Unfortunately this is not a perk but you will be charged in addition to the other care. I will remember this the next time.

The waiting room was a large open area which allowed us to keep our distance from other pets. The staff was called Buster by name and they were affectionate with him. The exam room was larger in size and the table could be moved out of the way. This allowed for an unobstructed area for the examination of larger pets on the floor. The Dr maintained contact with Buster throughout the examination and offered treats as positive reinforcement. The examination was quick and efficient and allowing time for questions. We were very impressed with the professional and friendly care we received during our appointment. We will be returning in the future and will recommend them to friends and family.

I took a dog to them a few years ago for teeth cleaning. I was impressed with them then, but decided to stay with our current vet in our home town. Recently, I took two other dogs for teeth cleaning. This time they had remodeled, the atmosphere was wonderful. The pets were happy. Animal Kingdom went above and beyond as far as service and price was reasonable. I am looking into switching all four of a dogs over to them for full-time vet care. The trip to Animal Kingdom is only about 10 minutes further, but they send out reminders by text and email to keep me up to date with my pets medical needs and future appointments. I look forward to my next appointment with them tomorrow morning :-)

Normally I like to take my cats to an all cat clinic as then there are not as many noises to increase their anxiety about being at the doctor's. But I chose to come to Animal Kingdom due to the reviews about the staff. When I walked in at 1:30, there was no other patients in the room. The front staff were very friendly, answered questions I had. Dr. Noel (pronounced "knoll") was able to see my cat right away when I was done with the new patient forms. I didn't wait long with my cat in the exam room before Dr. Noel came in. She was calm, and friendly with me and my cat. He didn't put up too much of a fight when I took him out of the carrier. Throughout the exam, my cat came to like Dr. Noel more, and began slinking towards her on the exam table while she petted him, as she was doing a physical check on him. At the end, she offered him a little bit of cheese in a can, but he was too nervous to be interested in food. She got his vaccinations and rabies shot from a storage spot in the exam room. I loved that she did not need to go out of the room to get them or chance "forgetting them in the back". Dr. Noel was great giving him the shots, he didn't react to getting the first one but he did tense up for the rabies shot, which tends to be more painful. I decided to have blood drawn to find if there was a cause for his inability to gain weight. A tech came into the exam room to help hold my cat on his side while a sample was taken from his leg. I can not tell you enough how great it was not to have my cat taken from the room. I was able to help hold him and keep him calm. When the vet was unable to draw from the leg, she needed to try at the neck. The vet tech was able to hold my cat in position by herself, and she proceeded to say the things I had previously said and did the things I did to keep my cat calm. They both did such an wonderful job!

Best vet clinic around hands down!!! Vets know their stuff n all the staff r caring n supportive. I've had to put down 4 animals with in the last 14 years n animal kingdom helped us compassionately make it through them all. Best clinic around!!!

We love Animal Kingdom. If we have an emergency they always find a way to fit us in. The staff is amazing! The prices are amazing too. You can really tell they are in business because they love animals!

We had to get used to making appointments for a sick dog rather than walking in (the practice where we lived prior to Iowa). Other than that, we have loved the care our dogs have received. We've had everything from a senior dog having to be euthanized to puppy checks and spaying service and we have been very happy.

I just had my first visit with Dr. Ahern and am so glad I switched to him as my dog's veterinarian. He was kind, thorough, and obviously very knowledgeable and experienced as a vet. He answered questions about my dog's health issues that other vets could not. Additionally, the office decor makes the place much more inviting and cozy than any other vet I have gone to... and they are cheaper than vets in Iowa City. I have already referred another friend to him.

Animal Kingdom is a great place to take your furry friends, the staff are great and helpful through the entire process of taking care of our 2 senior dogs. Cons: - Every time I have been there (4 times in the last 3 months), the pups have seen a different doctor. Not a huge deal but when it comes to continuity of care, information could get lost. - Vets are expensive... So it isn't necessarily a CON only for Animal Kingdom, they have to make money somehow. Pros: - Of the different docs that have seen by pups, they clearly read the files ahead of time and are prepared, they would follow-up with information that only they would know from reading their charts. - Staff truly love animals, they have a cat that chills on the counter and is very comfortable with all the various animals that come in and out. - Facility is clean and doesn't stink of animal pee or poo, they keep the place wiped down and tidy! - Staff and doctors are helpful and answer questions as thoroughly as possible - The doctors followed up with phone calls and I spoke to them personally about care for my pups.

I made an appointment for a wellness visit for our cat Maggie but also took her to get some mats shaved off her back. Our cat had not been to a vet in years and she scares easily so I went in thinking she would have to be sedated to get an exam, shots, and a shave. But the staff was friendly, professional and soooo good with her that sedation wasn't necessary. My cat was quiet and cooperative even when they gave her shots. I would highly recommend this vet center to anyone.

I switched to Animal Kingdom first as they were more available vs my old Vet. I have come to realize they have such a pleasant disposition and care for their animal patients. They saved my dog from most certain death by diagnosing a ware disorder. He is now again a happy hunting dog. Their fees are reasonable too. Dr. Oliver is the best!
