Had to change vets due to a bad experience with the customer service. This vet greeted my pup with a smile. They worked with his energy level. I had him boarded while I moved, he has been so good, got groomed, and this vet and pet lodge has taking an extreme stress off our shoulders. They are amazing and very well priced!
Our fur kids get great care at Woodland Animal Hospital! I would highly recommend this practice!
I love the team at Woodland Animal Hospital! Dr. Haak has taken care of our dog since the first week we've lived in Carmel. Also, they have great care plans that make paying for special services a little bit easier on your wallet. Thank you Woodland!!
Woodland is GREAT for my nervous Weimaraner! They practice no fear vet visits and are so kind and patient with our big guy. Very attentive staff all around and we had a great boarding experience with them as well. Would definitely recommend!
My poodle loves this place! I've been taking him to this hospital/day spa for a few years now and they are the best! Very friendly, dependable and accommodating to your pet's needs for health care and grooming. The wellness plan is convenient and affordable, discounts are great! Highly recommend them to take care of your pet!
My dogs love the people at Woodland. They cheerfully trot off to the Pet Lodge and just leave me behind.
We have boarded our cat on three separate occasions and have been very satisfied with the care we received.
We take both our cat and dog to Woodland Animal Hospital. I have been going there for about 5 years now and have referred several friends. They have a great pet wellness plan, caring and knowledgeable staff, and offer pet daycare, boarding, and grooming services as well. I highly recommend Woodland!!
Friendly Doctors and staff always willing to help. Our groomer Lindsey always does a great job!
We have taken our dogs to Woodland Animal Hospital for years. We have absolutely no complaints. From the staff who greet you to the vet techs to the vets...they all love animals and people. They treat the 2-legged and the 4-legged customers with kindness and compassion. I highly recommend Woodland Animal Hospital to anyone interested in giving the best veterinary care to their furry family.
They are the best!!!! I almost killed one of my cat by putting dog flea medicine on him. I could not find anyone to help near me. Some recommend Woodland and we took him right away. I called to let them know what had happened and when I would arrive. They were waiting for us at the door. They saved my baby and I am most grateful.. 2 days later and 800 less dollars, he came home without any permanent damage. It was well worth the money to know that they were giving him the care and love he needed to recover.
Very caring, very professional staff! I've been twice recently with after hour pet emergencies and I couldn't ask for anything more than the treatment my pets and myself were given! One of the feral cats had been hit by a car and they gave us the Good Samaritan price to put her down. The second trip was when one of my cats had been bitten by a Copperhead snake and he was given a very thorough examination and medications. He was back to himself in two days.
A total of 2 1/2 hours I waited to find out that my pet would need unnecessary tests that would cost 4 times more than what I ended up paying with another Vet. The Vet at this facility only had a handful of experiences dealing with my pets condition...cancer.
Very nice facility! However, we have a young lab that we need to board for 3 days. When she was picked up her behavior was extreme, nothing like she was before dropping her off. Now 3 weeks later we have been told that our pup is experiencing Fearful Aggression. We are not saying that she was mistreated, all we know is at the moment she is not the same dog. We are diligently working daily to beat this behavior.
My Presley is treated like a princess, the staff it's very frIendly and I love the service. I past by another vet hosp to get to this one and it's worth it.
I love this hospital and the staff. I've had pets that were patients almost since the time they first opened operating from a house on 116th street. They've always taken such good care of my cats and doggie. The facilities are nice and clean. When it was time to say good bye to my best furry friends, the doctors, and staff, knew just what to do, how to handle my beloved pets, and especially me. I don't have any living pets any more, but I plan on it adopting in the future and this is the only hospital I'll use.
Woodland Animal Hospital and and Pet Lodge has been our choice for many years. The staff is very efficient. I wait less time for our dog's visit than at any human Dr's office. Thank you to you
I love my dogs and I'm a cheapskate. Woodland's thorough vets have worked with me consistently to help me understand which tests are essential and which are recommended. They do not try to upsell; they do educate me on the risks of the different options. Also - they totally love my dogs, too.
I walked in sobbing with a very sick puppy and they were so calming and helpful. The place is so well kept and clean as well which is very important to me. Puppy is all better and I am so glad I have found a new vet office I can rely on.
My dogs love the staff and they are all about your pets
This place is the best there is in Indy! I can't imagine going anywhere but Woodland Animal Hospital. Dr. Michelle Gray is the BEST vet we could ask for and her staff is incredible! From the moment we walk in the door, Galileo (my 2yo Australian Shepherd) and I feel welcome and like we are a part of a family. The vet tech rarely ever leaves our side and Dr. Gray has spent more time with us than any vet we have ever visited. I always have my questions answered, and if not, Dr. Gray will call and email me until I feel completely comfortable with what is going on. My dog has had some health issues this year, and as any pet parent knows, it can really be scary. Dr. Gray and the staff at Woodland show the same concern as I do for Galileo and they always email and call to check up on my furbaby throughout the entire year! I can't tell you how amazing it feels to go to a place that loves my dog like I love my dog. They show general concern and compassion for Galileo. For instance, I had to take my dog to the Animal ER this year, and the first thing I received the day after the ER scare was a call from Woodland checking in on Galileo! Oh, and the pet lodge is great! Very clean, very warm and inviting, with great big “suites” for your furry friends. The grooming services are superb as well. Galileo always looks and feels like a BILLION bucks after he goes to Woodland Animal Hospital. Thank you, Woodland and Dr. Gray. You have truly shown my dog and I what good veterinary services include and what its like to get care from a team that truly cares about my dog and I. We trust you and we love you guys!
Caring staff, thorough exams. Easy to get appointments at times that blend with work schedule. Groomer is great!
Fair prices, don't oversell unnecessary procedures. Good vet.
I am somewhat new to Woodland, but they take such good care of my puppy, Sully! They are always so friendly, and quick to get us in if something comes up.
They have been taking care of my pets for years, and they are the best!
The experience is stressful for my dog, but the staff is kind and professional and make it as pleasant as possible.
We recently moved from a vet that had switched a VCA vet. After experiencing great staff turnover and lack of interest in our dog, we feel very blessed to have found Woodland. They offer such a personal touch and true commitment to our pet’s well-being. The staff already feels like family.
As far as being a client goes, this place is amazing. The doctors care a great deal about the animals and the girls in the lodge take really good care of the boarding animals. However, if you are looking for a job, unless you have a degree and can work on the hospital side, do not work here in the lodge. The management is very poor and favorites are played. If you don’t like being spoken to like you’re a child, stupid, or otherwise incompetent, I’d advise you to not even apply to this job, unless of course, you are a perfect human being. For reference you can ask around at other pet suites around the Indianapolis area, they have all heard or know someone who had worked there, and the personal reviews are more or less, negative.
Worst customer service in Carmel. They called me because they were afraid of my dog. I had to go to the backyard because they weren't able to take my dog out because he was "running" from them. Really? Are these place really trained to work with dogs?
Clinic and Boarding areas are clean, neat, and odor free, all staff are friendly, knowledgable, helpful, and kind. Best of all are the healthcare options for your pet that make regular preventative care and accidental and sick visits reasonably affordable.
I was told my dog would need Doggie braces. You heard right, doggie. Braces. Absolutely ridiculous. I wont be returning.
Woodland Animal Hospital is great. I have been taking my dog there for the past year-and-a-half. They are very thorough with her care and always call the next day to check up on her. I have appreciated how attentive the vet technicians and the veterinarian is. I would highly recommend bringing your pet to this place.
I have taken my dogs to them since 2002. Though the staff changes periodically, everyone is always friendly, and makes me feel like they care as much about my dog as I do. They offer a variety of money-saving options for health/wellness plans as well.
The staff is very friendly and really seem to like what they do. The plan is helpful for helping to spread out the cost of our dog's healthcare, providing discounts for various services, and covering the cost of dental cleanings. This last benefit is a major perk! The
I have been with Woodland for many years and they are great.
Although the facility is very clean and the staff was very good with our dog, we will not return to this vet. I arrived with a sick golden retriever and was made to wait for a very long time (we were there for approximately 3 hours the first night). Once the doctor checked our dog, he left the room and sent his assistant back in with the treatment plan. The cost was over $900 and included many things that I didn't feel necessary. I declined most of what was on the list and just decided on an x-ray and blood work to see if that would give us an idea what was wrong with our fur baby. After another long wait, it was determined that our dog was very constipated and needed fluids and an enema. We were told that she would need to stay overnight. We called to check on her several times the next day but were never given an answer as to when we could pick her up. I knew that I couldn't afford for her to stay another night with the fees quickly mounting. I am a single mother of 4 and we live on a very tight budget. We finally drove back to the clinic and again had to wait over an hour when there seemed to be no one else there. I am certain they would have kept her another night and just added it to the bill even though she was much better and ready to be discharged earlier in the day. I had declined most of the services and extras that they suggested on the first night due to the cost and we still had to pay over $1300 in charges. I will never go back to this facility. I felt very pushed into treatment that was not necessary. We are happy that our sweet Gracie is feeling better but I will be feeling the sting of this bill for a very long time.
I do not normally write reviews. However, we have been extremely happy with the Woodland Animal Hospital. First, the location is an excellent area, very clean facilities, ease of communication, excellent hours. Knowing that the Hospital is right there with the Vet is also very comforting. This is a veterinarian hospital with boarding facilities as well! I know my Jenny is in being well taken care of!
Furthest from my mind and far beyond my compression: "it's JUST a dog" or "it's JUST a cat." I have five of them, 2 dogs and 3 cats, and each one is everything and more than a mere "just." One is diabetic. One has kidney and respiratory issues. One struggles with severe separation anxiety. One has a viral condition that causes chronic eye inflammation. Clearly, I'm a regular at Woodland Animal Hospital. Drs. Phillips and Glore genuinely--and ever so patiently--understand and support my devotion to providing the best possible physical and mental health for my beloved animals. Both wholeheartedly commit to providing optimal care but remain mindful of the financial demands of multiple medical conditions; as such, they help explore options to best accommodate both matters. They are caring, patient caregivers. Likewise, the staff is efficient, knowledgeable, eager to help, and so very kind. I never leave Woodland without a genuine sense of appreciation.
Woodland Animal Hospital is top shelf, professional, caring & thoughtful! Theyou are THE best vet I've ever encountered actually!
Beware! They try to convince you that all these services need to be done for something simple. FYI Woodland start from the bottom and work your way up. Everything doesn't always have to be about money.
The staff and doctors are friendly and personable with me and my dog. They really care about my dog's health and what's best for him, so they've earned my trust.
Both my dogs had an excellent stay. Thank you for such great care.
I love the staff! They were extremely helpful when I explained I was nervous about trimming Finnley's nails. They walked me through the process step by step and visits always go smoothly with my pup! I highly recommend them.
Nice, Clean facility..
We love Woodland Animal Hospital. We've been going there for over 25 years now. Most recently we acquired 2 new pets in the last couple of years and had concerns before getting either one of them. One was a dog and the other a cat. Both times I called to get some information to help me make the decision and both vets were extremely generous with their time in calling me back and discussing my concerns with me. They even followed up with some additional information in an email. They are extremely caring, and my dog actually loves to go there. I can't say enough good things about them.
Amazing staff and vet. Dr. Golden is wonderful! Very clean facility and fast to see us.
Great staff that really cares about my pet and is willing to take the time to answer all my questions. Scheduling is easy. All around great vet.
Very good vet and caring staff. A bit pricey, but our beloved pets get the best care.
Extremely caring staff and veterinarians! We have a cat who gets very nervous coming to the clinic and immediately upon arrival they make her calm by spraying a pheromone on a towel and placing it over her crate. That also helps us feel comfortable! We’ve only had positive experiences with the care given to our pets at Woodland!
The staff was super friendly and caring. I had to put one of my cats down and the staff was so compassionate. She had never gone to this vet before, but I believe the car ride to our regular vet would have put to much stress on her. I have since switched all our pets to this vet.
They always take great care of my dog, be it with the vet or in the grooming area. My dog loves to go there, which is more than I can say when I need to go to the doctor.
Great staff, always so understanding and never judge with how concerned we can be. Very attentive and caring to our cat.
Love Love Love Woodland Animal Hospital! I recently moved both my dog's care to Woodland and I could not be happier. The care my Fur-babies receive is phenomenal. Dr. Golden is our Vet and she is extremely thorough, compassionate, and professional. The Vet staff, I cannot say enough about...I feel they know my dogs and ME and are always there with patience, compassion, and efficiency. I Recently went out of town for the weekend...I boarded both my dogs together there in their facility and had them "spa"-dified on pick up day. First time EVER boarding. The facility is open, clean, and did not have the "kennel" feel. Both my pups are rescues and I previously feared they would feel left behind like they were going back to the pound...NOT HERE, they had a blast. The boarding staff took excellent care of my babies. The groomer does an exceptional job on my dog. Until now, I could not find a groomer that "listened" to me about my schnauzer's needs. He looks so precious when he is finished. Well, that covers it all. Changing Vet services is a BIG decision, but I am more than happy I made the move and HIGHLY recommend Woodland Hills Animal Hospital and Pet Lodge/Grooming. Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!
I recently left my beloved fur baby here for a brief stay,it was clear that she was well taken care of, as I came in to pick her up I was greeted by Victoria who was very sweet and seemed to love her job. All in all a great experience 10/10 recommendation
Not for cat lodging. I understand that they might be a good pet clinic and salon but this is not a place for cat lodging. Maybe they think that cats don't need as much attention and care as dogs, as people usually say that cats are independent. I just picked up my cat at noon and he seems famished and thirsty - we had him there for almost 5 days. When I dropped my cat off, they make you fill out paperwork where you can instruct how much food they should feed and if you want to bring your own brand of cat food (which I did because I only feed him natural and healthy cat food). I specifically let them know, and wrote down, that he eats 1/4 cup of food for each morning and nighttime. I portioned out the food to last exactly 4.5 days in a tupperware but when I got it back, only half was taken out. My cat always finishes this amount every time. As for playtime, I called everyday and found out that they only take out the cats once or twice a day for a short time. They're in this closet-looking "condo" and only open from 9 to 6. I didn't have a choice at the time as other pet lodge with better features and services were fully booked. If I had to do it again, I would just hire a cat sitter in my neighborhood or someone trustworthy to watch my cat. Never again.
Great experience! Thank you all!
We are new to the area and had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Mark Graves. He is the kindest, most patient and knowledgeable veterinarian!
I have been with Woodland for 11 years & they have always done a great job taking care of my dog from any issues he has had, to grooming, to the calls I receive to be sure he is doing well after a visit. They go above & beyond to make sure your pet is well cared for & that you are satisfied with the visit.
Dr Brandon was very helpful to our Labrador Jerry Lee when he came in with severe coughing and spitting up. He got a quick diagnosis from the blood work and x-rays they did and had us on the way home with the right medication. We use Woodland as our night & weekend emergency clinic. They have always been very quick and helpful to our family.
My little border collie girl gave birth to a stillborn son not so long ago! Called woodland a half hour after the pup was born, they told us to wait an hour more to see if she got more contractions, but we wouldn't wait that long,my little girl could be in danger!!! After x-ray, ultrasound and blood work,it showed she didn't had any more puppies in her stomach....Ended up with a bill on 717.00$ Which I think is way too much, all she needed was an x-ray only!!!!! Been there again, they refused to boarder my pups, said their vaccines wasn't up to date, which they was! Sadly coz I was going to funeral, and would be back two days later, but had to stay home! Thank you for your excellent help Woodland!
Great staff, great boarding facilities, and great prices.
I have used the grooming services at Woodland for a little over a year now and have been very pleased with their service.
I was able to use Woodland Hospital and Pet Lodge for the past several years with my yorkie "Ellie". The staff is very helpful and willing to work with your schedule especially in emergencies. If our family ever adopts another dog we will continue to use Woodland for all our canine medical/grooming needs.
Wonderful, caring staff!
Vets are nice and give a thorough exam but we will be finding another vet due to the high pressure sales tactics they lay on. They're on the pricey side (an exam, basic vaccines, blood work, and heartworm test were almost $400) but I'm willing to pay for good care. However, both times we've been, we've been recommended to get almost $2000 worth of preventative care for our elderly boxer. We love our old girl and want her to be happy and healthy but she's somehow managed to get this far without these preventative treatments (that require anesthesia!) and is still in great shape. We've lived in 4 other cities and had 4 other vets in her lifetime and none of them have felt that any of what WAH recommended was necessary. It just feels like everything there is an upsell and they lay on the guilt if you don't buy into all of their recommendations. We take great care of our dog but forgive me if I'm not eager to spend $1800 and risk putting my 10 year old boxer under anesthesia for "prevention." We'll take our chances. So far it's worked out just fine for us. If you're familiar with the boxer breed, you know that they have shorter life spans in general. We're so thankful to have had 10 great years with our girl and view any extra time as a wonderful bonus. If you're the kind of person who wants top of the line treatment for your dog and are willing to pay any amount to make sure they're here as long as possible, maybe this is the place for you. But it's not a good fit for us.
Woodland Animal Hospital is a special place. I am pleased with all of the doctors and staff; they are knowledgeable and compassionate. I especially appreciated the kindness shown in our times of grief, and how they cared for our cat's remains when he passed. They took the time to not only make a paw print impression, but to lovingly decorate it and make it into an ornament. The way we were treated was leagues greater than our last experience with pet loss at the VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center. We've also used their animal boarding, which is also great. I would highly recommend this facility for all your pets' needs.
Woodland’s staff is the best! Very friendly & helpful. They always follow up after an office visit.
service is great
I'm new to visiting this vet office, but have been very pleased.
The staff at Woodland are always helpful and take care of my animals with love and care.
I waited 45 minutes past my appointment last week..Then left and went to another Vet....It has changed since Kurt Phillips,Dr Glore, and Dr Grey left....I go there because they have a great groomer Lindsay !!
Woodland Animal Hospital is consistent in their fantastic care of our 2 dogs! The staff is fantastic and makes customer service their main goal! The vets know animals and are great at diagnosing issues and then giving a well thought out treatment plan!! I HIGHLY recommend Woodland Animal Hospital for anyone who loves their pets!
Always provides great care for our cat.
My dog was not eating or defacating for three days. I was very concerned. My cousin took her in to Woodland Animal Hospital on a Friday because I had to work. While at work, I missed my cousin's phone call to authorize them to perform certain tests to diagnose her. I took her in a day later (Saturday) at 10 pm. The price they quoted me to perform the sane exact tests were MORE THAN DOUBLE the amount that was quoted to my cousin just the day before. I questioned this difference and was told an answer that didnt make any sense. To make matters worse, I was there for 6 HOURS. The nurse kept telling me that other emergencies were coming in, but I was paying the extra fees for emergency care for my dog as well and did not receive it. I paid just shy of $1000 for an xray, labs antibiotics and a digestive enzyme. I've NEVER paid that amount of money for any vet visit. The staff was very friendly but the cost and wait time at this facility was ridiculous.
they have taken very good care of our babies i dog 1 cat. recommend them highly 5 stars
The staff at both the Animal Hospital and the Pet Lodge have been fantastic with my dog. Dr. Michelle Gray has been amazing at going above and beyond helping my dog, Frazier, with his maladies. I'm very grateful to her and the entire staff!
I cannot say enough positive things about the care at Woodlands Animal Hospital. They have loved and cared for our injured, sick and healthy cats and dogs over the years. They are thorough and caring and work with the client to determine the best course of treatment from a clinical and financial perspective. I recommend them highly and believe you will not be disappointed if you trust them with your special furry family members.
They are Wonderful, we wouldn't go anywhere else.
The staff at Woodland has been excellent and they truly care about their patients. The care plans here are a great deal as well, covering shots, several tests and treatments as well. I've been very happy with the care of my two kittens!
Absolutely love my groomer, she is the best!!
I LOVE Woodland! They are always so amazing and sweet to my pup!
Great care for our two bulldogs. Always so accommodating fitting us in if necessary. Our boys love going there and are fine being boarded. Everyone there loves animals and they get the same spoiling there that they do at home! So happy to have found them all!!! Donna Cook, Carmel
Lindsey is the best groomer in the area. I moved from Carmel to Fishers but I had to go back to Lindsey to groom my 2 babies.
Dr. Golden and the staff at Woodlawn were great and gave my cat Chrissie fantastic care. Chrissie had a broken tooth and Dr. Golden did a procedure to remove the tooth. Chrissie had no problem with the sedation and was back to herself in a few days. Dr. Golden also explained everything to me which put me at ease about the procedure. It is wonderful having a great vet like Dr.Golden.
I had just got my little puppy on a Saturday and he was 7 wks old. Seem to be doing ok that day but on Sunday things changed for the worse. I live in Bwk. but was in Jackson visiting my brother as he had picked up mine and my sisters puppies. My brothers vet was not open on Sunday but they had given me the number to Woodland. I took my pet there and the doctor and staff were wonderful. There was no waiting, they took him straight back and started working on him. If it had not been for the doctor and staff at Woodland, I would have lost my little puppy. I give them an Excellant. I would use them again if I am ever up that way and my puppy gets sick.
Dr. Gray is a very kind, caring and professional person who I have trusted to take care of my "boys" (two cats) for several years now. I have now moved out-of -state, and hope I can find a clinic half as good. Thanks also to the wonderful staff.
I have used Woodland for 16 years. I rely on them for pet care, food and medication. I'm very happy with the service I get. And the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Staff always takes great care of my furbaby!
