Priceless professional services! Dr. Haney is brilliant, caring and knowledgeable. My cat Peanuts is a former homeless feline that lived on the streets whereas she became very hostile and hard to handle. Peanuts loves Dr. Haney and all of the vet. Techs/assistants. What does that tell you? If my peanuts is happy so am I.! Go visit west Michigan St vet clinic the wait is worth it my friend!

Affordable pricing is the obvious reason to go here. Most of the staff is friendly. One of the receptionists can be quite rude though. The vets and techs have always been kind and knowledgeable to us. The place is clean on the inside. The neighborhood is kind of sketchy, but welcome to Indianapolis. The worst part is the wait time. Be ready to wait for at least an hour, if not longer, in a room full of barking dogs and even worse, screaming kids.

All the Veterinary's there are great. The staff is nice, the better you get to know them the better. Plus if your nice , they are nice! I have 4 dogs and 7 cats i take there, sure you can sit there and wait for up to a few hours but it is worth it in the end. There is no reason anyone should not have their pets vaccinated, $10. A shot plus they have scratch pay! I followed Dr. Johnston over from the Hawthorne building. He knows what he is doing!

Honestly I gave them a chance from all the good reviews, but after waiting 4 hours for treatment and being first in line for over an hour, I just left and scheduled a vet appointment with the paw patch place near my house for only 60 dollars. I wouldn't go here again if you paid me to. The amount of stress your animal goes through being around 20+ other animals, and having exam rooms for all types of animals isn't worth it. Your pet is worth a few more dollars to receive the right care. I understand the load these folks are under but you could at least have some semblance of customer service. Again, I recommend that no one that truly cares about their animal go here. I'm sorry if you can't afford twice the price for a vet visit, but you shouldn't have an animal if you don't think ahead of all the costs and have the ability to treat them right.

This is a decent place for low income folks to care for their animals. However, be very prepared to spend hours, even all day waiting, even for just shots. If you hear from the staff that your pet needs an additional booster in a certin amount of time, and they say you just let the desk know its just the booster and you won't need to wait all day DON'T BELIEVE IT! Not only will you still wait, you will have an additional charge as well. This happened to me, so please be careful and ALWAYS be prepared to wait an extended period of time and pay more.

Very good at working with us on our budget. The facility is kind of dirty but it's a VERY busy vet clinic so I think that's to be expected a little bit. I got there at 9:30am, the lady at the front desk said you can wait here or if you live close just be back by 11:45am. I said no problem. I showed up at 11:35 so kind of early, the lady checked me in and said i was next. I sat in the quiet room as she mentioned, waited almost 40 more mins before i said enough and left. They called me at 12:52pm to see if i was there and ready to go in. F’ing ridiculous and terrible customer service. I understand they were busy but that is plain ignorant.

My dogs have been going to W Michigan St Vet for years and will always come here. They do not have appointments and the earlier you come the better. You have to know that going in, you’re going to wait if you come mid day, and mid day on a weekend? You’ll be waiting for hours. However it has always allowed us to keep our dogs vet bills down. My dog was acting sick last year and we took him in, they gave him xrays, and sure enough, he had eaten something that was now stuck inside him. We were able to get this surgery done for a fraction of what it would cost anywhere else. They definitely saved my dogs life. I know they aren’t always an option. Had my dog needed to see someone in the middle of the night we would have had to go to a 24 hour vet. But as long as they are open, they are your best bet. No surprise fees or outrageous invoices when you are done. Also, they have always been so kind to me and my family, despite the stressful environment they work in.

I needed a vet that had walk-in appointments as my regular vet could not see me for over 2 weeks. The front end staff was friendly and great to work with. The office was clean nothing fancy, who wants to pay for fancy. That’s why the fee is half the price of my vet. The vet was great to my poor puppy and very knowledgeable and hands-on. A little farther than what I wanted but I will be back with all 3 of my dogs. Thanks for making MoJo better. So if you are looking for a great vet look no farther.... this is the place.

Horrible customer service...wait times are ridiculous and they don't take appointments. If you're not there 20 minutes before they open in the morning you had better plan to be there until they close at 3pm. I had to wait 5 hours for my dog to get her shots. When asked why they dont take appointments the answer I got was "the reason our prices are so low is because of the amount of customers we get. If we scheduled appointments we wouldn't be able to see as many pets and wouldn't make as much money." So in other words....you get what you pay for. Cheap vaccine prices= poor customer service.

The pricing is phenomenal! Great care, loved how they handled my dogs and were so interactive with them. Very thorough without lots of extra fluff or pressure to get additional products or services. It is walk-in only so plan to wait as they do handle a large number of cases. This is really the only downside at all but it is much nicer and the staff is so much more friendly than at similar I've been to. It is well worth your time for the savings. They will allow you the option to wait in your car with your pet and bring them in around the back if they don't do well around other animals or in that type of situation. Nice clean facility. There is also a little side play room for kids and a "quiet area" for maybe cats and older/more subdued dogs.

You can't beat $10-20 shots. Neighborhood is not the best. It's very crowded and you may be waiting two hours if you go on a saturday between 10-1 but they see everyone staff is friendly and you can ask them to call your cell phone when your turns up and sit in your car to avoid the crowded waiting area. They also have a quiet room with 3 cubicles and two chairs each for some quiet and privacy if you choose. The doctor is very informative friendly with your pet and we thought it was neat she smeared dog food on the table so our puppy would be distracted and before we realized what she was doing she was done ! Won't go anywhere else for our

They start signing in people at 830am. They officially start seeing patients at 9am. The staff is very patient. The prices are very fair. The place is clean. There may or may not be a long wait depending on how many vets they have that day. Its usually 1 or 2 vets. I've been bringing my pets here for at least 7 years.

If you're looking for a low cost vet check them out. I applied and was approved for a Care Credit credit card to help with any bills that may exceed your monthly budget. The longest time I've spent at West Michigan Street vet is an hour.

I bring my 3 dogs there and they always have good care. the only con is the long waiting time to be seeing by vets, mainly on Saturdays that is the only free day I have to go. Out of the lower-cost alternatives for pet care in Indianapolis, I prefer the West Michigan Street clinic because the facility is well-maintained and the staff is always courteous and professional, though I will say to make sure that they are administering the vaccinations that you requested (last year, I asked for a 3-year rabies vaccine but only got the 1-year). Also, wait times don't seem to be as bad as some of the other first come, first serve clinics.

I have to give a big shout out to the staff and Dr. Johnson at West Michigan Street vet.!!!!! We've been bringing our animals here for several years now. The wait can be so long some days, but the staff and the care given is so worth the wait. Our dog has a chronic UTI issue that she's currently being treated for, I was advised to stop in to pick up her new medication and prescription dog food for her. To my surprise, I was given a 25lb bag of prescription dog food for free. The medication is affordable too!!!! The only complaint I have are about the people who bring in their pets, some of you are just plain RUDE !!!!! When the place is packed and you have your dog in a pet carrier in a chair, place your pet on the floor and give the humans the chairs!!!!!! I love animals more than most people, my Momma taught me to have respect, but some of your Momma's failed you miserably or you just suck at being a human!!!!!

Disappointed and saddened. After reading the reviews, I anticipated a long wait time. The facility is very overcrowded. The staff does what they can given the patient to staff ratio is extremely high. The wait time was not my problem, it was the vet. A lot if the reviews depict the staff as friendly and welcoming. I did not have the pleasure of experiencing this. Yes, the ladies at the front desk are nice, but the vet came off very ill-mannered as soon as he walked in the room. He gave NO EYE CONTACT when speaking whatsoever. In addition, he told me to pick my dog up and place her on the exam table. I have a pit bull who is not light. On top of that, she was nervous and shaking, so you can imagine it was hard for me to get her on the table. He didn't offer to help pick her up or put her down. He also pushed her away when she tried greeting him and subliminally said she has "questionable behavior", which sent me through the roof. Like any friendly dog, when she likes someone she will jump and try to lick them, but she was in no way coming off aggressive. Like the other dogs in the lobby she was barking BEFORE she got in the room (that's what she does when she wants to play but can't) but the whole time she was in the exam room she was nervous. As a vet I expected more professionalism from him which it's obvious he lacked. He made no attempt to interact with my dog until I finally asked him if he was going to check to see if she was possibly pregnant. He made little effort to make me or my dog feel comfortable or at ease, which is the first time I've experienced this with a LICENSED VET. It made me sad because I have problems enough with people stereotyping my dog because she's a pit bull and he gave a vibe that he could have cared less about her. I understand people have their days but it was my experience with the vet that questions my return.

We Michigan Street veterinary clinic is THE most affordable clinic I have ever experienced! How’s the mom tube for dogs, I have to make sure I use my resources wisely. A few weeks ago after an emergency situation that landed me and my dog Tucker at an emergency veterinary clinic, I was astounded at the cost and the way treatment was decided according to what I could afford. In this emergency situation all I could think about was helping my dog to feel better, their plan for my dog and bought a price list of services that they wanted to provide from x-rays to ultrasounds to medications to IV fluids. Their cost estimate was $735! I left with Tucker in my hands, and I was in tears, after having spent $200 on the exam and two pain medications.I was referred to Michigan Street veterinary clinic the next day. It’s not a fancy clinic, and it takes a lot of patience since they do not except appointments, but I learned that my tucker had no broken bones, no internal bleeding and simply needed an anti-inflammatory medication and lots of rest! I left there feeling reassured that Tucker would recover fully, and I spent $153 on multiple x-rays, the medication, and the exam! The ER Vet had me thinking that I would need to put my dog down because I couldn’t afford to care for him, however that was not the case! Michigan Street veterinary clinic made this emergency situation completely affordable and my dog is now home resting and recovering ! I would visit them again in a heart beat and will share my experience with everyone! I plan to bring all four dogs in for vaccinations and will consider them my veterinary of choice! Thanks to Michigan St Vets for taking care of my baby!

My dog who is 18 yrs old eyes got terrible matted and I brought him in they had to sedate him to clear his eyes up and gave me medicine to help told me to come back in a week for follow up did not tell I had to see the same vet who saw him Dr Hanney who never even talk to me the week before Dr Johnson wouldn't even speak to us We were told we have to see a specialist not given a list of them It saddens me that loyalty doesn't Matt We have always praised this place, but not anymore

I love this place ! I strated bringing my second bully here when he was just a puppy he loves the staff doctors new doggys and everybody between there. He loves this place and knows as soon as we turn on the street to the vet lol he begans to cry and pace and when bringing him in he drags you to the door.. They are so nice understanding and friendly .. They dont look at him like he is this dangerous beast they talk to him like hes their pet .. They make sure everytime everything is okay and answer any question i have .. My 1st pit mix was already use too a different vet so i didnt switch him until they went under new management when i did it was like he had went there forever at 10 he was diagnosed with blood cancer after his spleen was removed everybody involved in his surgery and care treatment him with absolute love they talked to him like he was a human and treated him so kind and gentle they talked us through what the outcome was and helped keep him comfrontable until he was ready to go in march 2019 @ 3am we lost him at home before they opened and when they was told of his passing a few of them hugged us and even cried along with us i will forever be thankful of them and my love for all the people at this place has grown stronger

This clinic is able to save you money by not making appointments but rather taking walk-ins only and helping as many animals as they can each day. So plan to take a seat and wait a bit, then the friendly staff will provide your pet with great care for an affordable cost. The vet and techs helped my very sick cat multiple times and then fit him in for an exploratory surgery when they were already booked. They found and removed a toy from his intestines and saved his life. I am beyond grateful!

Just got my family a loving dog , girlfriend was super excited about having a new dog and excited to take her to her first vet visit. 3-4 hour wait she had never been to a vet so she didn’t know it wasn’t okay to bring the dog in having kennel cough. The lady explained she had to wait outside but to come back for penny to be seen. She brought penny back in assuming she was going to be seen. Not explaining they tried charging her with a 25$ cleaning fee for the dog. Also the vet was very rude and not big with eye contact. Definitely didn’t seem like they cared won’t be back.

Sure, they only charge 25 dollars, and they will send you home with germs for free! They do not clean exam rooms between clients! I took my pet in for sonerhing routine, and four days later my pet is sneezing and has fever! Very very sick! The worst part is that I am a multiple pet owner, and now all five of my other pets have it! I had to take them to another vet to be told they contracted a virus from that visit! I hope that none of them die from it! Also, the staff was very unfriendly, and was more interested in closing early than helping my pet! I strongly advise that people take their 25 dollars elsewhere!
