Dr. Smith is a wonderful and caring veterinarian. She has gone above and beyond for my two dogs numerous times over the last 2 years I have seen her. One dog had a severe neck/spinal injury earlier this year, and she coached us through understanding what was happening and what the options were. Our dog was eventually unable to stand or walk despite attempts to treat the issue. Though we ultimately decided to put our beloved 13 year old dog down, she was so empathetic and helpful throughout the process. Our other dog was diagnosed by a previous vet with Cushing's disease (because of test results, not symptoms), but the expensive treatment she was on didn't seem to have any impact. With Dr. Smith's research and help, we took her off the medication and she is doing perfectly fine. We really appreciate everything she has done for us, so much that we continue to drive about 25 miles one way to see her, since we have moved away from Greenwood. She is the best! Personally I had a couple bad experiences with the other vet, Dr. Hill, when I was first transferred here by the previous vet. I felt he was all business, uncaring, and pretty rude. We were accidentally scheduled for a follow-up appointment with him after a surgery done by Dr. Smith, and he wanted to charge for the appointment, even though it was an included follow-up check from the surgery. Since these I have always asked to see Dr. Smith, and she and all other employees I have seen are wonderful and caring. They always greet us as old friends.

Personnel very friendly. Dr. Smith has wonderful "bedside manner". She answers all questions and will work within your budget to provide the care necessary to treat your pet without padding the bill with unnecessary procedures. I gave them permission to perform a $28 dollar procedure on our Shitzu and they brought her back to me saying,"she did not need it after all so there is no charge". In my 35 plus years of taking pets to Vets,I have experience where I would have been charged the $28 regardless. What a refreshing change!

Dr. Hill/Kim/Vista Hills Animal Hospital are great! They’ve taken excellent care of our aging 10 1/2 year old German Shepherd since he was a puppy. They saved him from euthanasia when he got a serious spinal injury. It was hard to watch but he pulled through paralysis under Dr. Hill’s care. Thanks, Dr. Hill, Kim, and Vista Hills Animal Hospital for keeping our baby in our lives.

I take all of my animals here! The staff members are amazing and very helpful. It's not as expensive as other vets I use to go to which is great, and this vet office is very clean. Dr. Hill is very caring and understanding of your budget. I use to take one of my cats to a different vet and she would hide from him and growl at him when he was treating her, but with Dr. Hill she doesn't do that. I recommend this vet to everyone and anyone who is seeking to find a new vet or a vet for the first time!

If I had to choose two words to describe Vista Hills it would be caring and compassionate. Dr. Hill was our vet for the entire 17 years of my dog, Angel's life. We are so grateful for everything they have done and the compassion that they showed in the final hours of her life.

Just got "ghostie" home! She broke a nail last nite and we took her here first thing this morning as an emergency. (I saw blood!!) We were taken right in and treated very well! Dr. Hill tended to her injury quickly. Instuctions and medicine dosage were clear! As far as price goes, how can you put a price on the well being of a beloved family member?

After visiting a different clinic, Dr. Hill helped us with our senior aged lab's joint pain. He explained all the options, medications, and treatments. We will be coming back even though we live closer to other clinics. It's worth the drive. The office staff was wonderful too.

Dr. Smith is not only a class act, but knowledgeable about current trends in veterinary medicine. My Brittany had Giardia upon arrival in my home and she explained in detail how treating him with two medications would more likely clear his infection than treating him with only one. She treated me as an equal, not as a client and for that I would recommend her to anyone in the area. The tech staff also did a fabulous job answering my questions about payments and I felt safe putting my best friend in their hands.

In Nov 2017 we took our dog there to have her teeth pulled. She had really bad teeth. Anyways I was nervous and I can’t tell you how wonderful the doctor and all the people who worked there that I encountered. The doctor even called me to let me know what’s going on. Their prices were really good for us especially because it was most of her teeth had to go (she was a rescue). They answered every question I had even dumb ones. I love this place. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants their pets in good hands.

The staff at Vista Hills are all very friendly and the vets are very good at their jobs. I recently took my cat in for a teeth cleaning and to have a small growth on her chin removed. Dr. Smith spent extra time talking to me about the procedure and answering all my questions. I felt confident leaving my cat in her care, and now my cat has healed up really well from the procedure! I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for quality pet care on the southside.

Dr. Smith is amazing. She has cared for our dogs and cat for a long time. We had to put down our beloved labradoodle Willabee before Christmas. Dr. Smith was amazing and compassionate. She explained everything thoroughly and stayed with us afterwards. Her tears blended with ours. I simply cannot say enough about her.

I had a very good visit ...my dog got sick and they fixed him ...they were really great with hossy boy.....i just love everything about the place ...i also had an experience with a friend of mine dog ...they did surgery on him then a few months later he got hit and he wanted to have butterbean cremated and valley vista was awesome and handle it with the up most respect and care ....

I came here from the reviews and feel I need to post this. Front office personnel and vet techs were very friendly. They get the 3 stars. The vet we saw was very presumptuous and became demeaning when we didn't get all the recommended vaccinations at that time. He even asked if my son had skipped school??? How insulting. It was 5 pm at the time and he was still on Christmas break. Our cat had an ear infection and it was a follow up visit only. We had just spent $364 on the initial visit 2 weeks prior so that is why I was hestitant to buy anything else at that time. I agree with another reviewer, beware of upselling here. My husband has worked as a vet tech in the past and warned me about this. My advice is to go over the recommended items in a calm manner with your client and why they are important (I didnt get any info) and maybe he/she could schedule other items at a later date.
