My dog ate something he shouldn’t have but my regular vet had just closed as this happened in the evening. I looked online and Vale Park Animal Hospital was still open. I called and even told them that they were not our normal vet, I was just concerned and wanted to know if I should be, if my little guy needed to see a vet. Even though they knew that I didn’t go there they were still so amazing!!! They asked many questions regarding what he ate, and size, ect. They definitely cared about my dog above anything else! The compassion they showed I had never received from any vet office ever! Anyone who is looking for a new vet don’t hesitate to pick Vale Park Animal Hospital!!!

I saw two different vets, Dr. Harsy gave me the correct diagnosis, Mary Ann Sheller gave the incorrect diagnosis. So if you need to see a excellent vet see Dr. Harsy, and avoid Mary Ann Sheller at all costs. Mary Ann Sheller, she means well, but is a clueless vet when it comes to compassion, and noninvasive care of animals.

Dr. Bill and the staff at Vale Park took great care of my dog when she broke her pelvis. We were out of town and still don’t know what happened to her and everyone was very compassionate. We had to be referred to a surgeon in Fort Wayne and Dr Bill took the time to call the other clinic himself and coordinate for me. He personally followed up with us to make sure everything went well and that our dog was taken care of. We will be taking all of our dogs to Vale Park from now on!

I switched my dog here after a bad experience at another vet. They were wonderful. My dog loves Dr. Booth and the staff is always so nice and helpful. They even send her a card for her birthday every year. They work with you on payments and really listen to you. My dog got sick in my car on a trip there and one of the girls watched her inside and another even came out to help me clean the mess in my car. The waiting room is always clean and appointments are always on time. Everyone in my family has changed to here because they treated me and my girl so well.

I was looking for a vet clinic in NW Indiana that could do some blood work and have the answer for me the same day. I am not from the area.....I found this clinic online They where absolutely Wonderful! got the blood work and breeding done the same day! I have since returned to the clinic for routine check ups and they are the most wonderful and compassionate VET CLINIC IN NW INDIANA, having gone to TWO OTHER clinics in the Munster area that completely misdiagnosed my dog and performed unnecessary procedure on one of my dogs I WONT GO TO ANY OTHER CLINIC....in this area but VALE PARK ANIMAL HOSPITAL! their prices are comparable to my clinic out of state.... they are awesome!

The staff is SUPER friendly- it's obvious that they are passionate about their job. Once you check in, you will not wait long to see the doctor, which is great. When we took in our new cat, the staff and doctor took the time to explain everything we needed to know to care for our cat- his diet, vaccines, cost, and overall health. When our dog had a minor medical scare, they were able to see him right away. The doctors quickly figured out what was wrong and sent us home with medicine and directions. A few days later he was back to normal.

Do not go here, terrible vets that do not care about your animals. They put money before the care of your beloved pet. After I paid for a battery of tests on dear kitty, the vet withheld information regarding the results of this test and did not provide any convulsive information, to no surprise I was requested to come back in and pay for more tests. I never returned because I could easily tell all this place was interested in, was money. Not the type of place I like to bring my animals. Rude, condicending staff. Do yourself and your pet a favor and visit McAfee Animal Hospital. It isn't much further than this butcher and the vets actually care about your family. After a few tests at McAfee I was quickly alerted as to what was wrong with my cat and what the available options were. I will never bring another pet to Vale Park. Go to McAfee and ask for Dr. Dani. She's sweet and will help you every step of the way. I later received a bill from Vale Park which requested $71 dollars even though I never visited a second time. This place is a joke. Save yourself the trouble and avoid at all costs.

The staff and Dr. Bill are awesome! Last week I had an appointment for my two cats and upon arriving I mistakenly dropped the carrier and the snaps loosened. My two cats escaped in zero degree weather and in the winter darkness of the evening. Within seconds several staff, including the doctors, were helping me search for my boys. They were successfully found by the staff and were taken inside for safety and warmth. Dr. Bill and staff even stayed later to conduct the vet visit for my boys. I'm ever grateful for the care and love Vale Park staff have shown for my boys since we moved here in 2014!

Dr. Jerry was excellent when my cat needed to have a tooth extraction, so they do have some good and competent staff, but Dr. Sheller advised me at one point to euthanize my 13 year old cat who was sick with an upper respiratory infection. She told me that 13 was a long life for a cat and maybe it was time to say goodbye. I left in tears knowing in my heart that that was not the right decision, so I took matters into my own hands. With a short course of antibiotic treatment, my cat cleared up and went on to live another 2 years. Additionally, their services are overpriced, so if you're looking for the best service in the area to take your fur babies at the most economical prices, this isn't the place!

Dr. Kim Juhlin is the BEST vet I have ever dealt with. She brought my dog back to good digestion without medications. He is now on a natural food diet and any signs of upset digestion have disappeared. She is compassionate and highly intelligent. Highly recommended.

What a great staff! My Euromastix lizard was sick and this was the only animal hospital with an exotic pets doctor available. She saw me without an appointment. I got home today to find that my 1 year old kitty was hot to the touch and did not seem to have any energy at all (very out of the norm for him). I called all 3 vets in Plymouth, 1 in Knox, and 2 in Valpo before I finally stumbled upon this place. They were literally the only ones who would take him last minute. He ended up having a 104.5 degree fever and was dehydrated because he did not have the energy to walk to his water bowl from the fever. They hooked him up to an IV and gave him fluids, and also gave him an antibiotic shot. Within an hour after getting home he is eating and drinking again! He also does not feel hot at all anymore. He is still tired but that is to be expected for the next day or so. I am so happy with the very friendly staff at this place and with the excellent care my kitty recieved. Not a lot of vets I’ve been to in this area seem to care much for cats but these guys treated my little man like a prince. Thank you all so much!

Never have put a review in for any business but this was a bad experience for me and my pet. I was in the process of moving and needed to take my dog in because he had an ear infection. I gave them my past vets information and was told that I haven't taken my dog to a vet since 2011, but I said his rabies tag was up to date could you look it up with that number and was told by the veterinary assistant that anyone can put a tag on a dog. She wouldn't believe me, so I was making suggestions how can I prove that my dog was up to date with his shots. Then they found the rest of my past vets information. That was very insulting to me, but to come in for a ear infection and to pay $161.54, they make me understand why so many people can't afford to own a dog.

I love this place. They cared for both of the dogs we had. Both are gone now. The care they show our mutts are beyond words to describe. The staff was excellent with our pets from the time they were pups until the time they were 14 and time to say goodbye. I cannot thank them enough. I haven't had a dog in over a year and a half, but plan on getting a pup at the end of this month when he is ready to leave the litter. That's how I happen to come across this and needed to share this and to tell everyone what a truly great and caring place this is.
