He has a great bedside manner and is always kind, answering every question I have as a novice goat herder. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Culbertson in the future. A better vet you will not find.

The staff at Thorntown Vet Clinic is amazing! Upon walking in, we are always greeted with a smile (including a greeting for my dog, by name). They cater to you as if you are their only client. My pup absolutely loves everyone there. Dr. Culbertson and his staff are so gentle, she barely even notices her exams or shots. Their in-house groomer makes caring for our dog a simple task at one convenient location. With reasonable pricing you wouldn't expect them to go above and beyond your expectations, but they always do. Love these guys!

We just got a new puppy and I decided we would be reestablishing our pet care with Thorntown from now on. The staff and Doctors are and always have been wonderful. The techs are great at cutting her nails which is doesn’t like. I joined one of their wellness plans and thanks to that it has helped with the cost of monthly medications and routine visits. We had an emergency with our dog, as she had just had a C-section and was refusing care to her puppies. These people were fabulous and referred me to someone that could better help. Then 2 days later our dogs Staples fell out and what looked really bad turned out to be normal. I had called at 12:30 a.m. and was met within 30 mins. And they kept her overnight and gave a sedative. I had another vet tell me it would be $500 up front. Needless to say, this is the best place I've found in Boone County. for the love of pets.

I had a few unfortunate visits recently to my friends at Thorntown. Two weeks ago We unexpectedly had to put my old cat down. Of course, dr. John and the staff took such great care of us. This week I had to take one of my eight dogs in and it's not looking great. They, again, took such great care of us and we saw the other vet (sorry...forget her name). She also took great care of us and then Carly the vet tech was amazing and so empathetic and sympathetic. Debra cast us out and she was also so attentive and understanding given the nature of our visit. I just can't say enough about everyone there and how they handle us and all of our babies. I took Blackjack next door to Dairy Queen afterwards for a pup cup. I didn't want anything else so young lady at the drive-thru simply told me to pull up in there was no charge. I tipped her for the ice cream and black jack loved his special treat. His time may be limited but given the nature of the visit he sure got some amazing attention and loved every bit of it. Thank you all so very much as always.

The Thorntown Veterinary Clinic staff provide a fantastic service of keeping our animals the best they can be. The mere fact that I trust them to care for these family members says it all--they do a great job and my pets and I are the beneficiaries of their conscientious approach to their work. It is a pleasure to watch them interact with animals as well as people. Our library cat was near death when I rescued him a couple of years ago, and now he is a healthy, happy greeter of all who visit the library. Our Chance is certainly enjoying his second chance at life, even though he yells all during the trip to and from the Clinic. Our heartfelt thanks to all who work in our behalf.

My dog's groomer is at this location. The reason we visited that vet a cpl of weeks ago had nothing to do with grooming though. My son's maltipoo wiggled her way off of his lap and onto the floor. She hurt her back leg and of course our regular vet wasn't in that day. I called Thorntown Vet and they got her in that afternoon!!! I was very pleased with the exam she received that day!!! We love all the people at the Thorntown Clinic! They are kind, caring and always helpful. I speak (Yap) for my brother, when I say that getting our annual check ups are a piece of cake(dog biscuit), when our annual rolls around. If we have an emergency at any time, there is always a way to get attention, quickly and efficiently. I have had many friends, who are waiting at the rainbow bridge, who have used the Thorntown Clinic, and especially Dr. Jon, over the last twenty five plus years, so if you are looking for a wonderful country Veterinary Clinic, this is the place. P.S. If you expand again, put in more kennels so we can stay more often with you guys, too many times you are full and we don't get to escape from home as often as we would like. I really like all the staff at Thorntown Vet clinic. Toby (7year chorkie) had a teeth cleaning and because of a little bone accident he had to have some lose teeth removed. They called me to let me know how many of the teeth were lose before extracting when they found out themselves. Toby also likes going there not scared at all.

This was my first time using this clinic and will continue to take my pet and all of my future pets here. I did not feel rushed and they called a few times after my dogs surgery to make sure he was okay. The staff was super friendly and acted like they knew me my whole life. The dr. was very thorough and answered all of my questions without acting like it was a hassle. I'm thinking about having my dog fake an illness just so I can go back and visit. If you love your pet and want the best for them, then you will take them here.
