The self-wash dog wash is amazing! First time I've used one and they had everything you'd need including things you wouldn't think of like aprons. The shampoo and conditioner are on sprayers which makes it so easy to get on the dog. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The groomer clipped my very difficult dog's nails easily. The office environment is pleasant, the staff is personable, knowledgeable, and caring. Dr. T is amazing. I trust his direction in taking care of my "babies". Besides what's best for them, he's also upfront about costs, offering the best treatment options for the lowest costs if you're on a tight budget, but most of all, he genuinely cares about your pet. My 11 year old dog went to The Paw Patch due to diarrhea and constipation issues that had been on going for 5-6 months. After not getting any answers (and having my concerns dismissed) I went to The Paw Patch. WOW! The staff is so friendly and actually listens to you. Doc T is such a wonderful, caring man! They contacted the previous vet office and got my dogs records and immediately started a plan of attack. They did a complete blood count, urinalysis, stool analysis, x-rays and ultrasound and discovered that my dog has an impacted colon and a swollen uterus. They kept me informed the entire time and answered all of my questions. They truly are there for the animal and it's so nice to have the assurance that your pet is in great hands. Doc T has more then likely saved my dogs life and I can't thank him and Molly (our vet tech) enough!!! I am very happy to say that I have found my new, full time, veterinary clinic!

We've been clients of The Paw Patch for over a decade. Dr. Tysklind and his staff are incredibly attentive to our dogs - they get to know their health conditions and personalities well, tailoring the routine care and treatments each has needed to what is best for each of them. He and his staff are conservative in how they treat everything; they don't automatically jump to the most invasive or expensive treatments. Dr. Tysklind is also very tied into the specialty vet community, recommending us to specialists at Purdue and other nearby animal hospitals when the care our dogs have needed go beyond what he is able to do in his practice. At the end of the day, they are more concerned about what is best for our dogs than "keeping business for themselves". We cannot say enough good things about them.

Dr T came in on his day off Christmas 2017 and saved my dog. He was attacked, and needed emergency surgery. Dr T came in performed surgery and continued checking on my dog through out his vacation. This is a great place, and wonderful staff. They’ve gone above and beyond on every visit.

For my 2 girls vaccines and heartworm preventative it cost me over $600. Don't get me wrong, I love my dogs, but my goodness that was ridiculous. They could at least quote you a price before you take them in.

This is important when you want the best for your animal and you're paying for a test. When communicating, they're aware of my cat's comprehensive history, not just the immediate concern or acute issue. The practice is knowledgeable about specialty services in the Indy metro area. I hardly ever spend much time waiting once I arrive for an appointment. The practice gives an upper and lower estimate on pricing, and I haven't ever been caught off guard by pricing. They are very attentive to your pet and make each pet feel special with their attention, care, and love. I plan to stay with them for my sweet Yorkie, River. Our family has been taking our dogs and cat to Dr. Erik Tysklind for many years. Dr. Tysklind and his staff have always been professional and very caring for each pet. Last week, Zelda, our 16 year old cat became ill. We got an appointment the same morning and after blood work, xrays, some other tests and an ultrasound, she was diagnosed with lymphona. Zelda came home for a week, and then Dr. Tysklind and staff were so kind and compassionate when we make the decision to not let her deteriorate further. After we said our goodbyes, we stayed with Zelda as they compassionately and professionally sent Zelda to heaven. We wholeheartedly recommend The Paw Patch. They care about both pets and the owners.

I will never take my pets to any other vet. They treat every animal like it's their own and Dr. T is outstanding. He truly cares about all of my pets. We have a cat that got hit by a car and he made us hopeful that it was worth spending the money to save him. The same cat a year later had some skin issues that my old vet just chocked up to an ear infection and never followed up on it. Dr. T has him on meds that are actually working after almost a year of him living in a cone. When we first started treating simba he called me once a week to check to see how he was doing even though we had an another appointment coming two weeks out from our last appointment. We also had a dog Silver who got sick very suddenly and rapidly declined. His first signs of sickness was on a Saturday and we had to make the toughest decision to put our 6 year old dog to sleep 4 days later. Dr. T called me just a few minutes ago to see if we were doing ok and to tell us how very sorry he was that Silver didn't make it and that he had even double checked with some of his interns to see if there was anything they could have done differently. I believe any vet that would go through this much trouble just to console a grieving family is priceless, and his endless pursuit of knowledge is comforting and inspiring. He is always calling his colleagues to make sure he has the most up to date information available for your pets needs. (I should note that Dr. T was not at work the day we had to put silver to sleep but Dr. Finnigan was also very kind and understanding and gave us as much time as we wanted alone with our boy before we had to say goodbye.) The entire staff there is absolutely wonderful and really care about you and your fur babies, from the smallest puppy for her last round of puppy shots, to the cat with metal in his legs, to the dog that was perfectly normal a few days ago but is now gone. Thank you Paw Patch for everything you do. Please don't change a thing. Ps. I have noticed that some of the reviews are saying this office is overpriced but I spent $200+ for my cats skin issues at one visit from another vet and had no success or follow up from the vet. The price is comparable to other vets and the quality of care is much higher than any vet I have ever been to. If you have more than 1 or 2 pets I recommend this course of action no matter what vet uou go to, take your pets in at different times. For example take one in January and one in March and one in July. It will be easier on your wallet and will offer your vet more time to look at your pets individually and focus their time making sure everything is taken care of. Also if there is something you DON'T want your vet to do(e.i. a certain vaccine that is specific for dogs that play in water and your dog doesn't ever play in water,) you always have the option to refuse treatment.

Three months ago, we brought our cat in to get an emergency checkup. He had stopped eating, his gums were pale, and he lost interest in everything. After a quick examination, Dr. Finnegan realized that his red blood cell count was extremely low and gave him medication for his condition. Dr. Tysklind called and was both understanding and realistic with our options. His medication worked, and he's stayed alive and healthy longer than anyone thought possible. My experience here with the responsiveness and availability of the staff was excellent. The quality of service, reasonable price, and cleanliness are just some of the reasons to bring your pets to the Paw Patch. The personal touch and friendly faces are what will keep you coming back.

We adopted a Lab from Love of Labs rescue agency. He came with a clean bill of health and we had him checked ourselves and he came up clean again. Subsequently, he was diagnosed with heart worms. After paying over $400 for the first shot, Love of Labs was kind enough to cover the last two but said we would have to take him to their vet on the northwest side of Indy (we live in Noblesville). Trying to take a 85 pound lab anywhere is difficult, but especially in a Mustang with small seats and a stick shift so I hesitated, but remembered 2 more $400 shots and off we went to the Paw Patch. Extremely glad we did. Far too many vets know how much we care about our 4 legged family members and take advantage of that love. Dr. Tysklind is not like that. From the word go, he was caring and very concerned. In between the 2 shots he provided, he took it upon himself to contact the drug companies to gain information on how Lundy was testing positive after he was negative and had been on preventive meds since we adopted him. He learned some new information and provided some recommendations for additional treatments. Due to the distance, we have continued to see our vet in Noblesville, yet 3 months later, Dr. Tysklind took it upon himself to contact us and check up on Lundy. Just last week, he again took it upon himself to call and see how he was doing after 6 months even though Lundy is no longer a active patient. I think it is pretty easy to see that this is someone that truly cares. I may have to trade the Mustang GT in for a SUV so Lundy and I can make the trip back and forth for his care!!!

I've been going to Dr. Tysklind for over 35 years with 3 cats (2 had very long lives) and love the care I've received. When my first kitty was at the end of her life, the entire staff cried with me. I've followed him from his office in Broad Ripple to his current office on the West side of Indy and I would not have another doctor look at my pets. I'm on my third cat and she's a bit of a handful but Dr. T seems to be able to get the job done. He's caring and compassionate and will tell you the truth. The ladies in his office are great as well!

I've recommended The Paw Patch to several people and continue to do so. Dr. Tysklind and his staff are outstandingly competent and caring. I have complete trust in them to care for Annie and Westley.

The staff and veteranians are so knowledgeable and caring. They make sure you understand all your pet's health needs and work with you to help achieve them. If your pet is ill, the doctors take the time to explain the problem and course of treatment in terms that you can understand. If there is a financial issue, they work with you on that too! I would not trust my cats to any other veteranian service than Paw Patch! They are awesome!!

We have been going to the Paw Patch in its current location and previous locations for as long as we have lived in Indianapolis- 25 years plus and have always received excellent service and advice for our loved ones. Dr. Tysklind and his staff are knowledgeable and care about their patients and their patient's parents. Yes it does cost $$ but doesn't any medical visit these days? We can generally find an appointment quickly and when necessary obtain same day service. When appropriate, Dr. Tysklind has a good network of referral vets for heart, eyes, certain surgeries etc.
