The staff here r nice and they seem to realy care for their patients. I have been to many vets but this one I will stay with. They give u straight forward answers and don't try to sale u a bunch of stuff your pet don't need. I highly recommend Holt road pet hospital.

With the exception of only three people that work there dr Debbie , Annie , and bree I would say the place as a whole is outright horrible the main doctor which is a male treats his clients and the pets like they were trash like there are beneath him the management staff is completely incompetent and just outright negligent and as far as the general staff like I set aside from only three employees and one of them being a doctor it's just not worth going to if you can find better for cheaper

Took our dog there after he had gotten into some rat poison. They had never treated an animal for that reason and because I didn't have the money for the months of treatment they said that if I could pay for the vitamin k pills only they would eat the cost of everything else just so their staff could use it as a learning experience. They always show so much love for our dogs.

I am insanely picky with who I trust my pets with. They're my family, and I expect my vet / vet staff to treat them as such. The holt road hospital treats my pets, and myself like a part of their family. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone who expects the very best. I could never thank them enough for their constant care and their willingness to help squeeze me in during an emergency or unexpected needed visit. From nail trims, to scary illnesses, they've been there every step of the way, and there's never been a single visit where I haven't fully trusted their expert opinions and their treatment. Thank you to all of them, but a very special thank you to the folks who have been there for many years, because you've been there through it all.

I've been taking my dogs here for two years and I've never had any bad experiences. One of my dogs is very anxious and they're always very accommodating with him and understanding. I also had to put my beagle down this year and they were so supportive. I appreciated their compassion at such a difficult time. Their prices are great, I never have to wait long to get an appointment, and the staff is amazing.

Killed my dog by giving her to many drugs during her surgery. She came out with her pupils fully blown, wouldnt eat or move the 4 days she lasted after surgery. And when the vet finally called to check on her i had to tell him she passed. I literally only got a "O, well i dont know why. Ok bye" and he hung up on me!

Today I learned this place is under new ownership... Unfortunately the great value this place offered the community has nearly doubled in price. Last year both dogs got their shots for $130, today I was told it would cost ~$110/dog (at first it was $80 but changed). I asked if that price included flee pills, nope that was additional.... All of this after trying to call them and being placed on hold for nearly 15 minutes, I finally just hung up as I pulled into the parking lot. So for me, I'm going to have to start looking for another vet.

Excellent doctors and staff. My 13yo cat has been having trouble holding food down and losing weight because of it, they pulled out all of the stops to figure out what was wrong with her. Thankfully they were able to make a diagnosis, put her on proper medication and she has been doing great!

This is the only veterinarian I would ever take my pet to. My husband and I have a biznes that we run into some animals that need are help and we take them to this vet and no were else. I am a very picky person when it comes to the helth of mine or others that have to leave there pets behind. And for that I stand by this vet and the veerinarian and the staff !!!!!!!! I was a little weary based off of the area this was located in, but honestly, the people here were amazing. My dog tends to get excited when around new people, but that didnt matter to them. They loved on her and she was so happy to be there. She has never minded going to the vet before (she takes vaccines like a champ) and this visit was for an ear ache, so I knew there wouldn't be a problem, but I have never seen a veterinarian who is so dedicated and loves their patients so much.

Worst vet I have ever heard of. I will never take another animal to this clinic. I was recommended to this place by my parents, who take their dog (my dog's brother) to this clinic. My husband made an appointment for my lab mix, who just turned a year old, because he had an ear infection. Now, my Gus is a spoiled whinny baby who gets really nervous at the vet (ever since he was neutered) and I knew that he would need a sedative to get his ears checked out. Also my spoiled baby is 86 lbs so he is a big boy. My husband explained this as he made the appointment and the lady said it will be no problem. Once at the doctor's office the ladies were extremely nice...it is the vet I have a problem with. My husband dropped him off and was told by the front ladies at the counter we could pick him up before 4:30, however, the vet told my husband he needed to pick him up at 1:00 when my dog woke up because he does not want a barking/whining dog in his office. Again I know he can be annoying with this but that still is not the most appropriate thing to say. The thing that upsets me the most, though, is when my husband picked up my boy. The vet told my husband "Your dog is stupid....not to be mean or anything but he whines even when no one is doing anything to him". Now I don't care if I had the dumbest dog around that is not something you say to a dog owner.

We went there on Saturday with our 18-year-old cat who had an enlarged heart and was suffering from lethargy and breathing difficulties and got Dr. Morand as our vet. He told us she had a heart murmur and thought she had low potassium and then took a blood test because he couldn’t prescribe treatment until he had results, which he would get back either Monday or Tuesday and he’d give us a call. He also said that her heart looked healthy for a cat with heart disease and that he was hoping that eventually he’d be able to lower the dose of her lasix. As we sat around waiting, our cat seemed to be getting steadily worse. Finally, on Monday, we called four different times and they kept saying that the results were in and that the doctor hadn’t looked at them yet. That night we had to take her to a different vet and they told us she had no murmur and mild edema and that her old age was making her basically not want to cope with it anymore and we could try at most to try and raise her lasix and watch for 24 hours for improvement. Ultimately, on Wednesday morning we had to put her to sleep. Then Thursday the St. Francis doctor finally calls and leaves a message that basically said oh sorry I’m a day late calling; I need to talk to you about your cat. It wasn’t a day late, you charged us $185 for something we didn’t end up even getting information on and our cat sat in agony for days with something that the next vet found out easily with a simple x-ray, physical exam and listening to our concerns. Thanks for nothing Doctor Morand; you should be as ashamed of yourself as we are in your ability of being an animal doctor.
