I normally don't write reviews, but I am thoroughly impressed with Dr. Carlson and her staff. All were very kind and professional. Dr. Carlson is the first vet I've found in this area who actually understands pet nutrition, feeds her own pets a species-appropriate diet, and was able to help me navigate the nutritional needs of my cat. I look forward to learning how eastern medicine can provide solutions to problems where conventional medicine has failed my cat. I wish I would have found this holistic vet much sooner, they are the best kept secret in NWI!

They care. I only worked there for a short while - no ones fault, really it was just the demands of the job and my time that didn't line up. I reccomend this clinic though because the doctor truly believes in her work (she is a holistic veterinarian) and the staff truly cares for the clients and pets.

My husband and I took our 12 year-old Silky Terrier here for the first time Tuesday. We were very impressed with Dr. Carlson's knowledge, exam thoroughness, recommendations and ability to answer all of our questions. She is simply an AMAZING veterinarian who is genuinely dedicated to improving and maintaining our dog's health and well-being! Also, all of her staff are very friendly and helpful.

The Doctors and staff are very knowledgeable, responsive and caring. We searched for several years trying to find a veterinarian who was an expert in Bernese Mountain Dogs. We found Dr. Andrea Carlson. She's wonderful. You can see in her eyes that animals come first. She deeply cares about their well being. We take our two dogs and five cats to the clinic. They love her. The staff is very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. When it comes to our four-legged family members, I'm a helicopter mom. We're very happy to have found this clinic. Would highly recommend.

I like their approach to treating my pet. How they treat , is how i have been taking care of my pets for years. Every vet i have seen untill now all want to fix my puppy at 6 months. I have always let my females go through a 1st Heat, then get them fixed. This is how they want to do it also. I will stick with them.

After my Vet retired I decided to look elsewhere for a new Vet.I was wanted to find a Vet that would help find what was going on with my Chihuahua's tummy troubles so I decided to try to find a Holistic Vet since I fed my dogs homecooked meals and was worried I wasn't feeding them a balanced diet. After doing research and reading the reviews Dr Carlson stood out to me. I live 35 minutes from Southlake but it was worth the ride for my babies. When I walked in the staff was super friendly and made me feel very welcomed. After Meeting Dr Carlson I knew I was in the right place. She had alot of the Holistic foods I had tried on her shelves and I was super excited. She was very compassionate and spend alot of time with me and my Dog. She didn't try to sell me anything that my dog didn't need and didn't put him on unnecessary antibiotics instead she sent me home with Keifer( probiotics) and natural products to heal his little belly. My dog would throw up several times a week and hasn't thrown up once in the past 2 weeks. I am so thankful for Dr Carlson and looking forward for our follow up appt next week!

This review is waaaaaaay over due! We moved here 28 July 2004, and they have been our Vet since then. All of our dogs have received excellent care, and they love them. We feel like we are visiting family each time we go for a visit. They were there for us for the passing of each of our dogs, and they were very consoling. The only gripe I have is that they don't help my diet! Every time we are there my wife talks while I clean out their candy basket! I guess I shouldn't blame then huh! Well they could stop me! Anyway, Doc' and staff we love you guys and highly recommend anyone reading this review in order to make a decision to not hesitate and schedule and appointment!!!!!

Took kittens in for an overdue first check up and vet & techs seemed nice. Was first time using them and only a brief visit so I can't swear by them yet. So far so good.

Dr. Carlson and all her helpers always take great care of me. As a 16-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, I have needed a lot of care over the years—dental cleanings, allergies, various lumps and cysts looked at, arthritis, treatment for seizures, etc. The ladies in the office are very nice and helpful too. My mom has had to call for help numerous times, like when she got worried after I ate a frog. Southlake Animal Hospital can always be counted on for exceptional healthcare. They are going to keep me alive forever!! My mom and I highly recommend them. Review by Canine Frances.

This office is one of the most friendly vet offices I have been to in the past 5 years. I took my dog Zeus there for the first time today. Dr. Van Winkle was so nice and took the time to listen to my concerns, walk me thru what he was doing and everything. Most vets are like human doctors. In and out. Not this office. The new patient rate was really nice as well. Can't beat 1 dollar.

Requiem for a Tuesday

A friend recommended Southlake Animal Hospital and Dr. Carlson because of my dog Max who had chronic ear problems. She listened and worked with Max on controlling the problem. The staff and Dr. Carlson are very caring, understanding, and willing to go beyond.

Southlake Animal Hospital is the best vet I've ever been to! The doctors are amazing, and the quality of the care and products provided are impeccable. Anything you need for your pet you can most definitely find it there. They genuinely care about your pet. They are kind and courtesy from your first contact whether it is on the phone or walking through the door. They treat your pet like you do, a member of the family.

On 6-22-16, I adopted a dog from the PCAS. On 6-25-16, she started bleeding from her vaginal area, this would not have been a bother had she just not gotten fixed a few days prior. I called up the SLAH and they got her in within 30min! (They ended keeping her there for the weekend, for monitoring). I am very thankful that they took the time out of their day (a Saturday, non the less) to take care of my newly adopted puppy. Not to mention the owner, personally called me and told me what was going on over the course of the weekend. Thank You all Very much!!!! Will recommend this place to everyone I know with animals.

Dr. Andrea and her staff are so attentive and patient with all my pets, especially my shy Border Collie rescue, 'Cheerio'. She came to us with little fur, very stressed and extremely thin.
