There is no other place I would even consider taking my furbabies. I have had to have two furbabies helped into eternal sleep here. The vets always helped me find the perfect balance of having a little more time with them, without them being in constant suffering. Both times, I felt the time was right to let them go. I just took Colby in for his very first visit, all my questions were answered. Colby had a double ear infection and the vet's assistant demonstrated how to properly get the medicine in his ears. It was also recommended to get Colby some glucosamine for his joints, which I did. Reasonable prices, and if you tell them what you need done, they can estimate the cost, if you ask. The whole staff is incredible, and they treat my furbabies as if they are theirs. I would not consider anywhere else, even if it was free. This place is worth every penny. Dr. Healey is truly amazing, and the whole staff is wonderful!

I highly reccomend this place. Our vet Dr. Healy is awesome. We have been taking our babies there for a couple of years now. A good vet is a must with us and Dr. Healy is very compassionate and loves her job. It shows. We are going through a rough time with our lil guy and she and her staff are very caring. Dr. Healy has sat with me on the floor many times to be on my babies level. He loves her, and she gets tail wags from him. I feel so grateful for having them as our lifeline for our babies. I also have had Dr. Evan's and she is very passionate too. We like to have the same vet, but Evan's is our backup if Healy is not there when we need care. From the time you walk in till the time you leave they are great. Staff is wonderful too.

One plus side to this place: IF you call and only need medication, like every decent human or animal doctor, they fill and let you pick up meds. Very nice. The negative As a owner, I should not feel like I am dropping an arm and a leg each and every visit.

I found a small growth on Echo, one of my cats. I brought him in and Dr. Jones checked and determined that it was a mast cell tumor, and that it should be removed. I took Echo in 3 days later and they removed the growth and sent it for biopsy. The results came back that they had gotten all of it. The worst part for Echo was waiting 2 weeks for the stitches to come out and to get the cone on his head removed. The stitches and cone were removed yesterday, and he's much happier, and so am I. I just need to watch him to be sure that no more mast cell tumors show up, but for now, he's healthy and happy. I've been going to South Side Animal Hospital for about 42 years now with all my pets over that time span. I love my pets like I would children, so sticking with South Side for that many years makes it obvious how much I trust them.

I have always loved this clinic and been a loyal customer for years. I don't know what has changed but when I called with a sick pet today they would not see it for 8 days. I told them I was a regular customer and my pet is not feeling well, needs seen before then and they said they can't fit him in. Suggested I go to another clinic or wait and see. Wait & See - absolutely uncaring. After over 20 years of coming here, I will be moving on. Now to try and get my records argh

I had a great experience at South Side Animal Hospital. We had recently moved to the area when our maltese starting coughing up blood. They were able to get us in within 2 hours for a visit. They were helpful and professional and explained everything very well. After an injection of antibiotics our little pumpkin had no more problems. I was expecting the worst when it came to the bill but the prices are very reasonable and they made sure to cover all the bases. Very happy with our new vet!

Overall, the staff is friendly and helpful. We were seen in a timely manner and running tests and X-rays was actually much quicker than I had expected! To make things even better, I felt that their prices were very reasonable! I’d absolutely recommend this place to any dog or cat owner!

Would recommend this office to everyone. When we first started coming here, we lived 5 minutes away. Now we live half an hour away, but I would never consider changing veterinarians. This was my first visit to the office. It was an annual exam for my cat and his shots. We had Dr. Evans and she was fantastic. We left our last vet because I didn't feel the Dr. was very thorough. Dr. Evans was very sweet with my cat and very thorough. She looked him over everywhere and answered all my questions. I felt the prices were reasonable as well. This will be our new vet office going forward! Also really like the separate entrances for dogs and cats!

The staff are very educated , very friendly, extremely caring, considerate , explain everything so that anyone can understand what needs to be done to your pet/family member and why. You can tell that the people there really love their job plus the love they have for animals. I started using them going on 12 years ago when my son was given a beagle mix puppy and they were always so good with her that she didn't mind having to go to the Dr. Last summer they worked really hard on our dog when she suddenly became ill. Trying things to make her better and when it got to the point that she needed additional care and testing they helped to set all of that up for me. I ended up losing her shortly after her sudden illness and they were effected by my dogs death as well. There was no way that they could have been making up their emotions when I went in to let them know. Almost all of them had been there for her since she started going there

I took my dog for a c section. went to pick her up,told there were 5 pups 1 in birth canal. took 2 pups home that didn't make it 4 days. I pet my dog and a huge clump of hair came off, I thought it was from stress. it wasnt, I took her to get the staples out,and before had shaved her back. she was BURNED bad! I posted and was told heating pad burn. I ask to see the pups, they refused. They questioned me about a heater at home. My dog was not burned at home. my son posted and shared, the clinic responded with. the lady that brung the dog in said she was burned at home. it is a blatant lie. I went to talk to Dr Jones he said there were 4 pups and 2 in the birth canal. after the surgery I ask to see the xrays, I did not see ,until second visit. I read reviews and was confident we would be ok. I was so wrong! I hope this allows me to post pics. I was lied to from the second I went to pick up my dog. many more details. just very, very disappointed. I'm not sure what action I'll take. But I will not let this go.I

I was going to another vet with my baby girl Tala, and the other vet would not listen to me at all. They kept telling me that she was fine, when it was apparent that she was not. The straw that broke that camel's back was when a growth on her belly burst. I then took her to see Dr. Lory at South Side Animal Hospital. I have been going there ever since. Everyone on the staff is great, and listens to my concerns and worked with those concerns. I trust them greatly and will continue to go to them - even while I am living clear across town from them. It is well worth the trip for doctors and staff that cared. Not to mention my dogs loved going to the vets!

From the moment I walked in to the minute I was checking out, every single employee was incredibly helpful and sweet towards me and my pets. Dr. Healey was born for helping animals. She is very knowledgeable about all things pet related and treated them as if they were her own. The cost was reasonable for the quality of service you are receiving.
