I have been a client of Dr Mclaughlin's for nearly 20 years. I have had great service from him for that time. My 17 year old bichon had his last moments in that building, in my arms. I love my dogs. They are my family. On my last visit in November a new employee jerked my dogs neck with a slip collar. He is a small bichon mix. It could have easily injured him. I angrily asked them to remove the slip collar and to not choke my dog. I was met with a condescending and rude response. I called later in the day and told Kim, a long time employee about my experience. There was no flow thru. No apology. I chose to change vet care after much thought. Today, I called to have my records transferred to another clinic. After multiple phone calls, and most of the afternoon, I was rudely told by the same employee that was rude to me in November, that as I am no longer a client of US 31 clinic because I am transferring to another vet. Mocked me for changing vets because of a slip collar and proceeded to tell me that my new vet would over medicate my dog and laughed at me. I am beyond estonishied. In truth I received years of consistent great care at this business from Dr Mcloughlin. However, this experience will be my last. It's really a shame.

I had unfortunate accident that happened with my cat on Saturday but wasn’t serious enough to take him to the emergency vet clinic. I called first thing Monday and they were booked but could get me in for a drop off first thing Tuesday. I received a call at 10:30, Monday, from them stating they could work my fur baby in. I got him there within an hour and within an hour and a half they had called me and they had stitched him up and went above my expectations with grooming him, that I’ve been refused from grooming companies. They truly went above and beyond and glad I’ve chosen them to be my vet clinic. Well done South 31 staff!! I have a happy kitty and I can tell he feels SOOO handsome!!!

Absolely mind blown by how much they don't care. Just moved here and our pup had an ear infection. Took her for a visit - they were very quick with getting her in and out which was a plus however the lack of caring about what we were asking and our concerns about what was causing it really baffled me. They provided meds for the ear infection after - called to follow up (which we missed the call but called right back) was told by the extremely rude person on the phone that "I didn't call you someone else did" - ok thanks? They wanted us to Come get more meds which we told them we didn't think was working because her ear didn't get any better. They even suggested it might be allegories but did nothing to follow up with that theory. Never even got to meet with a dr to explain what was going on. If you want a good vet that will actually care about your animal head over to VCA Swengel on S.E Street. South 31 is a joke wouldn't recommend to anyone who actually cares about their pet.

We took our 90lb American bulldog here after our vet had stitched up his leg 3 times and the stitches kept coming out after only 1 day. They were great and treated him completely different from our vet. The stitches stayed put and his leg has healed up great. They were so nice and friendly and you could tell they love dogs. Changed our vet on the spot.

I love this clinic. I have had dogs almost all my life and been to a lot of different vets, but this one really has me sold They seem genuinely concerned about my pets. I have one dog that has suffered from allergies his whole life (he is now 8-years-old. I change Vets last year and went to this clinic. They suggested he go on the allergy shots, and he has been doing well since. They are alway considerate and pleasant when I go in there. WIll continue with them.

We took our 1 1/2 year old Brittany dog in for itchy skin. The Dr was awesome and his staff was amazing. The price was much less than I had expected. She got sent home with 2 medications, and they were reasonably priced as well. The vet said her itching should get better within a few hours of the first dose, and he was right! She feels much better, and I'm not broke. Bonus! We will definitely come here any time we need a full-service vet in the future.

We were on the road and our dog broke her nail. They fit us in between appointments and took care of her nail. We were back on the road in no time. The staff were all very friendly, professional and best of all very good with our dog. She is a rescue dog and can be a handful to say the least. The clinic was very clean and welcoming. On top of that the price was very reasonable. If we lived around here we would make it our regular vet clinic. Many thanks to them!

Right from the start, South 31 has treated us and our dogs like family. With having 4 dogs, it can become a huge financial burden. South 31 has more than taken care of us and not price gouged or done unnecessary tests, like I've had in the past with other outfits. I am more than pleased with everything and so are my dogs. First time I have been to this Vet and it was unfortunately to have my 16 year old best friend euthanized. From the moment I called them to make the appointment, after calling several different uncaring and rude veterinarian office employees from other locations including the office that I had taken my Baby to for 16 years, they were so empathetic. They were sensitive to the state our family was in and able to make the appointment quickly ( Saturday-next day). The Vet and his Tech had a great bedside manner and explained what was happening without giving too much information. We were in the room the entire time and he allowed us plenty of time to say goodbye and cry after it was over. The office lady was awesome. I didn't think to pay attention to their names because I really wasn't all there. They did make my sickly boy comfortable during his last moments in this world and he was never a big fan of going to the Vet. He was calm and peaceful. You can tell that these people are in the pet doctor business for the right reasons and love animals. If I ever bring myself to adopt a pet again...they have won me over.

South 31 Veterinary Clinic took care of our 14 year old Maltese, Misty, as she was undergoing treatment for kidney failure. Unfortunately, Misty passed away while we were on a vacation in 2007. The staff could not have been more compassionate, kind, and understanding and it meant so much to us. Since then, we wouldn't have anyone else to care for our 2 cats, Milo and Shiloh. We always get a pleasant response and caring treatment at this Clinic. I feel our pets are always in good hands and makes our experience confident.
