The staff and vets here are amazing. They treat your pets and other animals like they're family not $$$ signs. They love animals and want to help them. How I feel a vets office should be. They have stayed open late and allowed me to drop off my pets before opening hours to help out. Every doctor and employee there have went above and beyond on several occasions. I would recommend this vet to anyone. 5 stars every visit.

THE best! All of the vets are wonderful but I will admit that Dr. Funnell is very special. I am always able to get an appointment in a timely manner and if I have an emergency they get me right in. Not all clinics have good vets AND a goof front office but PVVC does. Every single person that works there cares about the animals they treat and the humans that bring them in. When I had to say good bye to my beloved dog Sheila, they made the unbearable bearable. Plus they know that I am neurotic when it comes to my animals and they put up with me!!!

Everyone at this office is so sweet! I love that they call to check in when they say they will call! I never feel rushed or silly for asking any and all questions. My dog recently had teeth extracted, they did a great job, and even let me leave her favorite little quilt for the day to cuddle with in recovery! Last summer on a Friday evening we had our first anal gland issue (at about 8 years old) I called first thing Saturday and they were able to squeeze her in. (No pun intended) Dr. Schenkel is knowledgeable, patient, and SO kind to my dog! I know we’re in good hands when we visit!

Doc couldn't seem to figure out what was wrong with the cat, necessitating three exams prior to even giving them their shots. At $45/ brief exam and $29/fecal sample (hope for animals does the same test for $5) I can see why they'd like you to keep coming in.

Dr. Pat Funnell has literally save my birds life 2 times. My cockatiel is 25 going on 26 and has two times where she was on the verge. And helped me through the whole process of medication for our pet. Thank you so much!!!! Mr charmine is all mean as usual but our best bud. Cant have a squad without oscar the grouch aka charmine ;)

Best in the world. Soma swears by it, and the trip across town is worth it. The personal touch is everything and they deliver, consistently at that. I, my family, and our friends (the four-legged ones, that is,) have been clients for double digit years. I trust them. The staff (by which I mean everyone in the building) is attentive, validating, and reassuring. Soma cat agrees, and I tend to defer to the lady of the house on all such matters, most of all the place where she gets well and stays well. She loves it. It's the sort of place everyone wants, but seldom finds.

Foumd a bird with a broken wing and they were the only vet that would help it and they had me bring the bird there and didnt charge anything to take the bird and mend its wing and care for it until it could manage on its own. Great friendly caring staff.

Have a 9 year old cat who started urinating outside the litter box. Had Dr. Schenkel see her since she specializes in felines. Dr. Schenkel and her tech did an awesome job of evaluating my cat. A procedure was done to obtain urine; it was quick and my cat seemed fine afterwards. I loved the gentle and compassionate care my cat received here and my cat seemed to do well with the visit. Dr. Schenkle took a lot of time to discuss my cats medical condition and plan of care. She was not rushed and she was very thorough. I am confident and comfortable with her for my cat's care. As a pet parent of a very loved cat, I can't express how important this is to me. This veterinarian is a top notch caring professional. I thought the cost for the services was reasonable also. It's a great place!!

We have been coming here for over a decade. We love the staff, and Dr. Bruns is always amazing, caring, and helpful. In addition to annual checkups, they have helped us treat several cats and been there with us while we put two of them down through the years. They are kind and understanding during those times. I always feel comfortable knowing that I am getting the best care possible, as well as an honest assessment of our pets' long-term prognosis and quality of life, which allows us to make informed decisions on treatment options.

Dr. Dircksen spent a gracious amount of time with our problematic husky. He listened, evaluated, and offered a course of treatment that was a mix of what we have done in the past and practical advice that included not doing teeth cleaning that our last vet was encouraging us to do. He spent the time to explain that the process would be a slight benefit for our dogs, but not really worth the stress to them or the cost to us. We will be going back for every visit and need we have for our pups in Fort Wayne.

My parrot Mel died yesterday he was very sick my wife made an appointment for him today at 4:20pm she was home with a broken ankle and couldn't drive he started getting worse and i request to get him I thier to be seen that evening when I got off work receptionist said that thier was nothing available there the only doctor that could we could go to was in Indianapolis that would see exotic birds on an emergency basis and in Mel's physical condition he never would have survived the trip the other doctor at a different veterinarian's office in Fort Wayne wasn't in the office that day so long story short don't count on Pine Valley Veterinary Clinic to help if it can't be worked into their schedule even if you have a dying pet and the only doctor that could be could help is in thier clinic.
