Here you have the opinions of people like you who bought the products of Pet Pals Holistic Veterinary Hospital (Veterinarian) in Indiana area.
As of day the firm receives a rating of 4.2 over 5 and that score has been calculated on 33 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is quite positive, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the rating is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are pleased, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put scores when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Veterinarian belongs to the category of Veterinarian.
I've been with Pet Pals since moving to Indy a few years ago, and I've had nothing but pleasant experiences here. The staff is extremely friendly and competent, and you can tell they are all true animal lovers. They will tell you exactly what your pet needs, without finding ways to upcharge you during the process (which is rare with vets, I've found). They have an online scheduling system that's super convenient as well. My dog sees Dr. Arnold, who--even though we always have to schedule after work hours--is very thorough in examinations and explanations, and very open to answering any questions or concerns you might have (without making you feel silly for asking!). I learned a lot from him early on about how best to feed, care for, and even train my dog.
I took my new adopted dog for a check up. I ended paying more money than I had planned for. When I made my appointment they told me it was going to be about $59 a firsdt time office visit plus additional fees for vaccines and flee, heartworm, ticks, Ect. I ended up paying $119.50 JUST for the office consult visit, which did not include the heartworm, tick, flee , and parasides check, ect!! I know that owning a dog can get pricey and as a dog owner I take full responsibility and I don't mind paying, but I just feel like they should be more specific and honest about their pricing. When I asked why I was charged that amount for the office visit they told me that is about $59 per 30 mins appointment and mine took 1hr, which I feel like half of it was me waiting on exam results and me filling out first patient documentation. I'm sorry, but ME filling out paperwork and waiting on exams should not count as part of my appointment time. Also, they had to run the exam twice through their machine because their machine was acting up so it meant more time was passing by for them to reach the hr and charge me more. Also, When I made my appointment I was told my appointment was going to be around $59 and that it was going to be 1hr long, but never that I had to pay $59 per 30 mins. So if you plan on taking your doggie here for the first time just be aware of their pricing. Anyways beside the pricing confusion, the staff took great care of my dog and was super patient and sweet to both of us.
I just love Dr. Julie. She makes my boxers feel amazing. Recently, Trinity yelped when I touched her muzzle. Her regular vet thought she might have a bad tooth. $500 later, the X-Rays were inconclusive. We went to see Dr. Julie and she found the problem. Trinity had a vertebrae in her neck that had slipped. After her adjustment, Trinity was all better. Thank you Dr. Julie and your magic hands.
I've been taking my dogs to Pet Pals for several years and have been very happy with the care they have received, and with the staff. I especially like the fact that my dogs can get holistic and/or traditional treatments.
The staff is friendly, however it's quite obvious after two visits that Pet Pals and it's Veterinarians are most worried about the money and much less about your pet and you. You can call and get cost information, then once you get to the check out counter you are hit with excessive hidden costs. In our case, a "reexamination fee" for a dog that was in a week prior for a chronic problem. Moreover, there was no examination, just straight into the therapy. When questioned about the fee, it was clear to us that they were more worried about the $46 than keeping a customer or the well-being of our dog. I steer clear of clinics with these ethics and refuse to be taken advantage of. Lastly, our visit was for accupuncture therapy where they inserted the needles then left my wife, baby, and I to try and keep our dog unsuccessfully from knocking out hair thin needles. If you choose to use Pet Pals, you should be prepared to open your wallet.
Everyone at Pet Pals is compassionate! Dr. Olden-Stahl and Dr Towle have both treated chronic Conditions in my rescue dachshunds and they figure things out when no one else can. I am grateful for their care! I especially recommend the holistic treatments. acupuncture and laser. They work and save you from surgery!
So glad I found Dr. Olden-Stahl! When I first took my dog she could barely walk because of arthritis. After 2 visits, she is actually getting up and down like a puppy!! Highly recommend Pet Pals!
Dr. Towle is an amazing veterinarian. She puts her heart and soul into every animals she sees. I had a wonderful experience with her and the rest of the staff. My 5 year old English Bulldog, Dozer, was diagnosed with Lymphoma on April 3rd, 2014. We started seeing Dr. Towle for treatment the following week. Even though Dozer's time left was short (he crossed Rainbow Bridge on July 6, 2014), she did everything she could to help his throughout that timeframe. He did go into remission 5 1/2 weeks after his diagnosis too so we felt we made the right choice for his treatment. Dr. Towle was always available for us if we needed her, day or night. She is a wonderful veterinarian that I would highly recommend. Thank you, Tammy and Colin LaPointe-Potter
Excellent experience overall ! Very knowledgeable and was able to really help out my dogs. I would recommend this Vet clinic to anyone in need.
My experiences with Dr. Julie Towle have always been amazing. She truly loves animals. You can tell by her commitment to whole wellness training and holistic certifications that she will use traditional medicine or alternative meds and treatments to help your pet. I am so glad I found Dr. Julie!
Highly recommended!!!
I was thoroughly impressed by Dr. Shaw and her staff on my first visit. The level of detail of the history and physical exam gave me the assurance my dog was in the best hands he could be in. She was patient, elaborated and explained things till I felt comfortable with the game plan. I am in the medical feild so when I see they are basing their treatment protocols on the most up to date research, combined with a loving touch, I know this is the only vet I will bring my four legged family members to.
Money grubbers! They don't care about anything but getting their deposit. $61 to make an appointment? Absurd. No cancellation policy? Laughable.
If it weren't for Pet Pals Vet Clinic we wouldn't have our German Shepherd Aja with us today. Dr. Oldenstahl took the time to go over all of her records and put her on a food to put weight on her first to get her gut working properly before she even addressed the cause of her problems. Today she is a happy dog and playing with her ball and running and enjoying life. Thank you PetPals and Dr. Oldenstahl for your caring practice. I would recommend PetPals to anyone looking for an excellent vet clinic.

No more itchy dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was my first vet experience and I'm so impressed with our visit! The staff was soft and kind with our cat and were really helpful in giving guidance on how to most effectively care for our new pet.
Not Holistic.Office staff is unorganized. Not following through with call backs and script fills.I went for yearly and a daily script was ask to be refilled, now everytime so call the script has be verified by the vet.Products they sell can be bought online for much cheaper.Last yearly, ears and heart were not examined.I had a vet in Malibu,California that was much more reasonable with pricing.I always fill unsatisfied when I leave.I’m currently looking for recommendations for a new vet.
This place is wonderful!! I had rescued a big rottweiler pitbull mix (90lb) that was not treated very well. They staff and doctors are patient and go slow do to his fear and they have been able to treat him with no problem. We also have a 90lb Akita malumunt mix that they saved her life when she was ran over by a car. With all the laser therapy and herbals helped her to walk again sooner than later. We love this place
Great staff. They have helped to give jake his mobility.
I took my two dogs to this office with the understanding that they would have a holistic approach to caring for my animals. I'm sorry but giving dogs Chinese herbs or offering questionable acupuncture does not make an office "holistic". My older dog wasn't even offered a blood test. Had I known that Dr. Natalie was not planning to help him survive, I would have walked away. They pulled quite a bit of money out of my wallet and my dog died. This location changed when they kicked out the original owner. It's a money machine now.
I transferred to Pet Pals about three years ago, and have been totally pleased with the quality of care. Dr. Towle is thorough, compassionate, and patient with both my dogs and me, and I wish MY "people" doctors communicated half as well! Yes, we sometimes have a fairly long wait, but that's because they are giving other patients the time they need and I know Dr. Towle will also spend as long with us as we need. My pets are my kids, and I feel confident trusting their care to the folks at Pet Pals.
We drive over 20 minutes to go to this clinic. It is well worth the drive! Our dogs are as comfortable as they can be for their "personalities". Dr Towles was very knowledgable and answered all of my questions in a matter I could understand.
I have been bringing my pets here for years and I absolutely love it. The Doctors are caring and they take the time to explain everything in detail. I strongly recommend.
Thanks to Dr. Natalie and crew, our 14 year old Corgi "Strider" is walking much better and seems to have most of his pain gone from his disk injury. She recommended acupuncture and the results have been amazing!
Good experience with Dr. Towle, however if you call to ask for an estimate on services, take what they tell you with a grain of salt. Charging me $80 for a recheck service, when I was told they'd be $47, is ridiculous. To say that you charge $40 for the evaluation, which is separate...that should be part of the chiropractic adjustment anyway! You don't just start working on a dog without evaluating them anyway. Seems dishonest, especially when someone is on a very strict budget just trying to get their dog feeling better.
I brought our rescued pit bull here after having been refused service from multiple different vets due to his fear aggression. With other vets he would not let anyone handle him, and I felt like everyone had just given up. I 100% understand that safety is paramount, but I didn't know what else to do to get him basic vet care. I called Pet Pals almost in tears after yet another failed appointment at another office and the understanding and care I was met with from Diana was amazing. I brought him in to Dr. Olden-Stahl at Diana's recommendation. From the time I walked in until we left, everyone went out of their way to help him and us feel comfortable. Dr. Olsen-Stahl was so understanding of the trauma he likely experienced in his past and was adamant that we not push him past his comfort zone. She kept the door open during his visit to help him feel less trapped. She focused on a solution for his anxiety that will not only help him with future vet visits but help him in his regular day-to-day life too. I can't tell you how relieved I was that a vet understood instead of judged or sent us elsewhere. He was just there for a heartworm test, but she also offered us advice with other aspects of his care. I can't say enough how kind and helpful everyone I have interacted with has been. You can tell the staff has a real love for animals and want to do right by them. I will be taking my other, much easier, dog to them in the future because I've been so impressed with them.
Love Dr. Towle, what an amazing practice!
Dr. Arnold is great with our pets and we appreciate his willingness to take the time to explain everything so thoroughly during each visit. This is a place where our pet's health is clearly of utmost importance. So happy to have found this place and would highly recommend it!
