Love this place! Treated Princess Poppy with so much love and gave her everything she needed. 10/10 would recommend.

Cameron Wietbrock

We take two of our three dogs here, only reason we don't take the other is because he gets car sick. This place is fantastic, I would highly recommend!

sassysdad1a

This is by far the best animal hospital I have ever used. I have been working with dogs for 66 years. I was referred to Munster by a Vet because they had the equipment necessary to save my dog. Complete equipment and the connivence of no appointments are great. Compassion for pets and their owners is absolute. Munster has it all.

Regina Cossey

They provide excellent and caring service

Christabel Mwanaliti Dinwiddie

They're always helpful and they are very prompt.

Love the staff here. Everyone is so amazing and really cares about our fur babies. They treat our babies like their own. The doctors are always available to answer any of our questions. Receptionists are the best!!!!!!

Linda Rodgers

I guess it's okay I've been taking my dog there for ever

Ashton Astillero

Fast service of the clerks, vet techs and vet. Will be going here regularly from now on

Abena Story

Staff is very knowledgeable and pleasant. The groomer caught my dogs ear infection before it got serious. I highly recommend them.

Allison Piech

All of the staff treat you and your furbaby as family. Dr. Stateler is the best! She is very personable, and she takes her time with her patients.

Linda A Giba

The receptionists are polite, professional and have always been very helpful. Their techs always treated my boys/cats with care and kindness. I prefer Dr Han, Dr Foster or Dr Sharp. I would recommend them for your dog or cat. They give the customer options and the final say so in your animal treatment.

Brought my English Mastiff in that chewed up his cast. They told us that they needed to do xrays and to sedate him and we could get him the next day all for the cost of $300, even though they didn't and couldn't do his surgery there. We went ahead and did it. Next day, we picked him up and he was still drowsy, they had no clue how to cast him appropriately, and they found nothing wrong with this xray. We got him into the car and he immediately slipped his paw out of the cast because they didn't know what they were doing. We called them back and made a u-turn back to the place. We asked for assistance because he couldn't put weight on the leg and they sent out someone who weighed less than our dog. My husband had to carry him in himself and they re-cast his leg with the one that did not work. We went to Hobart animal clinic and they only charged $30 to cast his leg properly. Overall, Munster Animal Hospital is money hungary clinic that really has no clue on dealing with special cases. If they don't know, then they should refer people to the appropriate place to go. All the male doctors there are very rude and act like they are too good to even touch animals as well.

Only place I trust with my animals

Jessica Berlin

Very high prices on laser therapy and acupuncture. Would go more often for more fair prices. Service and staff are very friendly though.

Suzanne Scampini

Our kitty Mini Boo seemed comfortable and relaxed when we went to Munster Animal Hospital after he developed a hematoma on his ear. I phoned ahead, but didn't need to make an appointment - which meant I didn't have to take time off of work! The facility was very clean and the cheerful staff made us welcome even though it was almost closing time and several other pets were there, too. Dr. Sharp took time to explain the diagnosis and treatment options without seeming like he had to rush off somewhere else. The tech was really gentle and Mini, who is reallly skiddish and shy, didn't complain or struggle while she showed us how to administer his meds. I would give them 10 Stars!!!

Very nice staff

Dr. Han is the best, Also Jamie in grooming is so nice & does an amazing job.

They're a little expensive than I'd like but They've always been kind and treated my dog well. When she had an ER visit Munster called to check up on what was going on with her. Unfortunately she passed soon after. They sent a cute card that meant a lot.

harold sharp

These people love what they do. And it shows in how they take care of our fur baby! They are awesome!

I'm basing this on my experience only. My cat Rogi went in for a regular yearly checkup. Since he's a strong cat, the vet had to sedate him. During his deep sleep, his nails were clipped, but clipped too much. Today, Rogi is having a hard time walking on his hind legs and cannot jump. He keeps falling even after one day since his visit. During his sleep, ointment was placed into his eyes. Today, his right eye looks injured and he can hardly keep it fully open. This worries me the most. Also, they checked his teeth and said he needs dental work. Good to know. However, Rogi would not eat today. He kept trying, but every time he got food into his mouth, he didn't seem to want to eat it. He kept smelling his food but walking away from it. Also, the last time they had to sedate Rogi, they put him into a box (that released some gas) and he fell asleep shortly. This time he got over four shots. I don't get it. What for? Their form has no legal explanation or footnotes for any administered shot. This should be changed by including such information in footnotes or on a reference page that should be attached to the receipt. We should ALWAYS question what chemicals go into our pets, and everything should be referenced or explained in footnotes. This will only change if we demand it. The point of all this: After this experience (even if my assessment is not 100% accurate) I no longer trust this hospital and I will never use their services again. I'd rather pay a lot of money for the hospital I trust than for the one I don't. Trust has a lot to do with business, whether a business is doing something right or not. When you take your pet here, ask what's necessary, and if weary, ask if there are other options. If your pet becomes wild when scared, like my cat, then ask to have your pet sedated...This is where I stop trusting them. I'd like to be in the room with the vet... at least with with a vet at this hospital... Cheers.

All of the staff are so caring and wonderful!

This morning I had a scary situation with Henry my pitbull. He had an allergic reaction to something and was vomiting, and then his skin turned all red and splotchy. His eyes became swollen and he broke out in hives all over his chest and legs. Needless to say I was scared. Our vet in Dyer wasn't open so I called Munster Animal Hospital and got in right away at 7 am. Dr. Han was very nice and gave Henry an antihistamine. By the time we left, Henry already looked better. The place was very clean, and the staff very friendly. I would definitely go back to this place. I appreciate the time and care given to my pitbull!

Phyllis Mireles

I love this place and so do my gir babies.

Nikki Dorsey

This place is the best all the staff were friendly. Dr Clubine is best!!!!!!!! Our follow is Thursday I'm not worried my dog is in great hands. The other positive is it is not very pricey!!!!!

Scott Bensema

We love not needing an appointment. The staff is always caring and courteous. Great hours of service. They really hit it out of the park.

Charmagne Nagy

We have been bringing pets there for quite sometime for convenience. Which that is all its good for. Have brought my cat repeatedly for the same thing. Two days ago did the same thing. No help again. Sadly now have to put my girl to sleep. Thanks for nothing. .

Valerie Waddell

Thank you Munster Staff for your comforting words and kindness with regard to receiving such devastating news about our dog Scooby. You all are definitely compassionate and caring. Thanks especially to the lady who said we could stay there as long as we'd like, until we got ourselves together. My daughter and I were just distraught over the sad report of Scooby, but this particular lady brought us a box of tissue, gave us water, and said several times," I'm so sorry for your loss." We felt the love and empathy emulating from her. I knew she understood and even sat down and talked with us and shared her testimony on losing an animal. If I ever get another animal, I will definitely be taking my pet to the Munster Animal Hospital. Five stars and kudos for the staff! God bless you all. Just so you know, we made peace with Scooby today, Saturday, at 3:00 p.m.and said our good-byes.

Jim Collins

The entire staff is so friendly and caring. The doctor went over various options initially. The results came back very quickly. We are opting for surgery for our six-year-old cat that we brought in. I know she will be in good hands. Also, since we didn't need an appointment we were able to come in right away, and the wait was relatively quick.

Carol Kohan

I have taken all of my pets, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits to Munster Animal Hospital. I even adopted a cat from them. My favorite (and the one I only listen to) doctor is Dr. Han. I find it difficult to see him in the last several years and it is disappointing. Once you develop a trust, it's hard to give that to someone (another doctor) else. I can say that the receptionists show more compassion than the newer doctors. Could be since the "move" the doctors are stretched too thin. Although, there are more techs performing more duties, it's not the same. I would have given 5 stars for the staff at the old location. It's just not the same.

Andrea Edwards

Love the counter girls especially Kaitlyn. Jaime, a groomer is great. Keep your pet away from Dr. Hon.

Anna name

I like to bring our dog here even to just pick up meds. The entrance in front of the desk is a big open space. A great place for the dogs and cats to meet new friends. They sell really unusual stuff for cats and dogs, also. They are animal lovers...as they should be.

Timothy C

Be careful with this place and their scare tactics!!! They call and say concerning things you spend more money and they follow up with more results when they feel like it!!! They will take your money quick and then something else is abnormal and more follow-up and more $$$!!!! Oooo wait I forgot to mention my dog is nearly 12 years old and has had no change in appetite or drinking habits and still as playful as ever!!!

Val McCarthy

Brought in two dogs. Caring staff, Dr. Han was wonderful answered all my questions. However, the staff did not pay attention to what I was requesting. I specifically asked for 3 year rabies shots and only after the shots were administered was I informed that they were given 1 year shots. Records incorrect - Unfortunately both dogs, which are neutered males, were both indicated as being neutered females!!!! Would have liked a visit summary, i.e., what his weight etc. In the past I have been extremely happy with the service and professionalism I have received from Munster Hospital and despite the above misunderstandings, I will be returning.

mike janocha

Sad when you have to pay a company to give your google account positive reviews to help outweigh the bad ones, this place is like going to a walmart, never see the same person twice, but unlike walmart this place is far to overpriced, i love my dogs but not enough to pay munster animals INFLATED rates

Tiffani Bussie

Great staff. Vets are knowledgeable and great with our dog.

Mac Cansler

I have recommended Munster Animal Hospital to a number of friends. They take amazing care of my energetic GSD mix.

Gloria Tietz

If you go here a few times you will notice what they are really about NEVER NOT ONCE did i hear oh we will try to help or think of my pet or my pocket book for that matter. I had a small vet who would always try to answer questions for free and give sound advise for free. Not MUNSTER! Nothing!

Susan Armstrong

My 10 year old Golden retriever was having some issues and I wanted a second opinion. The staff was friendly and extremely compassionate. Dr. Han spent a lot of time with me, explaining what may be going on with her. I was very impressed with Munster Animal Hospital and its staff.

John Lynch

Very convenient. No appt needed for general visits. Staff caring and considerate for our pets. I highly recommend them, and plan on coming back in the future.

Don Mecchia

Took my best bud there because he got a scrape on his head and I didn't want it to get infected

Elise Phillips

You truly can't ask for a better, cleaner, and smarter facility. With cutting edge knowledge/technology and smart and helpful staff...it's no wonder the dog loves it here. From grooming, to boarding, (where they have fresh air circulating so no pet germs are spread), to vet visits, to the day we had to put our little guy down. Staff is so helpful, loving, fun and caring. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Mark Brennan

Took my dog in for regular blood tests. Epileptic. They drew blood for Super Chem and prescription level. Was shocked by 262.00 cost. Also charge over 100.00 for meds. Got meds at CVS for 55.00 and called other vets and they charge 30 to 40% less for blood tests than this center. Unfortunate because my wife loves the staff and center but we just can't afford the doc's BMW payment any more. Looking for a vet with high quality services and lower overhead. No problem with staff or services. Just overpriced.

Curtis Green

Been going there for over 15 years (back when it was on the north side of the tracks).. I would go to no other

Christina Weills

The Staff that work here are working under a psychopathic narcissist! He is a Tyrant! Please don’t bring your babies here. You have no idea what goes on behind the scenes! The Almighty dollar is the motivator for this office, not your pet!

David Szczesniak

The staff at Munster Animal Hospital is amazing. Dr Han is the best. My dog Ollie had bad arthritis from previous surgeries. Dr Han did everything he could to keep her comfortable and active - meds, laser, even acupuncture. When she passed, their compassion and sympathy were genuine. They treated Ollie like family. They're the best! Darlene Szczesniak

I found a huge lump on one of our cat's throat this summer. It turned out to be a fast-growing lymphoma. Although the news turned out to be horrible, everyone was so kind and caring and treated my baby so well. We were able to keep her pain low and spend an extra six weeks with her before having to put her to sleep. Her ashes were returned to us the next day in a beautiful wooden box with her name on it along with a laminated copy of the Rainbow Bridge poem. We received a couple of calls afterward to see how we were coping. Again, everyone was great and made a sad experience more bearable.

Linda Garcia

The Munster staff was so helpful. About two months ago our dog Scooby had a seizure and stroke and I had to take her to the vet and have her put to sleep. They have been Scooby's vet for 13 years. They were so compassionate and let me have all the time to say goodbye to her. Then Dr Han took me out the back way so I didn't have to go through the lobby. They sent us the nicest card and cried with me when I picked up her ashes. We just got a 8 month old puppy and she's now a patient of Munster Animal Hospital.

yvonne bockel

Such a great place

Christopher McMahel

Been coming here for years. Staff and facilities are always fantastic.

John Tokoly

I took my German Shepherd all her life. In the beginning, they helped me out when I thought it was her time to pass on. I kept her alive 8 years. Along the way, it was becoming quite alot of money to keep her alive. Munster kept wanting to "do what they could" but at a cost. I figured out away myself to do so. They were astonished when I didn't follow their advice. In the very end when it was that time for her to pass, Munster drained me for every dime and still wanted to even when she was in great pain! I put her to rest which was the right thing to do even though Munster wanted to keep a guinea pig theory going. I have a new puppy now who will not be going there!

William Larson

If you get the right Vet you're ok. I only trust 2 out of the bunch. Outside of that they keep you abreast of when the vaccinations are due

Diedre Lee

Friendly service and no appointments so that's great..but a bit expensive

Suzanne Bolda

A bit pricey but they LOVE animals

Sherry Borkowski

I have been taking my pet's to Munster Animal Hospital for many years. Have been very pleased with the staff and the Doctor's. Have had to have a few of my beloved pet's put to sleep and the caring from all who work there have been exceptional. The care and kindness they showed me and my family during this hard time touched my heart deeply.. The staff is always with a smile when you walk through the door.. The doctor's always answer questions and are great with your pet. Excellent animal hospital..

Steven Bobinski

Best around.

Kath. Craig

Charge way to much , every visit is two hundred dollars.

Christel Snow

Sugar has been a patient since she was 8 weeks old. She loves the attention and service by the staff and doctors. I would recommend Munster Animal Hospital to family and friends.

Lisa Acoff

HORRIBLE!! I'm giving 1 star for the staff behind the counter. I took my American Bullie here because he hadn't eaten for a day and had started to drool and was very lethargic. The Vet ran several test and when I questioned her as to what these test were going to tell us she got irritated with me. She insisted we do SEVERAL more test!!! X-ray's etc. Our visit cost us $450.00 due to countless unnecessary test and they NEVER "discovered" what was wrong with our dog???? We left there without any explanation as to what was wrong with our dog. She tried to make us fear the worst i.e... kidney failure etc. I will NEVER return or recommend this place!

wayne hogan

Over priced. The veterinarian misdiagnosed my dog. The dog was miserable and scratching himself like crazy. I took him in and had a ling wait. The vet breezed in and diagnosed the dog with seasonal allergies. Prescribed an $90 medication. I administered it as directed. I finished the course of treatment and the dog was still miserable. I called the office got a refill again $90. Later that week I took him to the groomer who chastised me for allowing my dog to be so infested with fleas. The vets note only a couple of weeks earlier stated that there were no fleas. Lied. Rushed the exam and missed the fleas. Cost me $290 for nothing.

Katelyn Tieri

My dogs love Dr Sharp! He takes the time to figure out the problem and listens to me with all of my concerns. They have a forever client! I know they are pricey at times but I would pay it 3 times fold, because you get what you pay for. Great job Dr Sharp you truly are a gem and I am thankful to find such a caring vet for my fur kids!

Robyn Paulsen

Great organization

Jeffrey Held

Best place for the furry ones.

Matt Friedrich

My dog is super scared and skittish, needing to be muzzled, but they always treat her really well and are always very kind to her. Dr. Stateler is great and makes what, I'm sure is, a terrible experience for my dog a lot better.

frederick vehrs

Great service! And Spot loved them... Very caring staff... Would recommend to everyone..

Nicole Floyd

Munster animal put my mind at ease about my kitty Tom cat. Very friendly staff and great Vet Dr. Very pleased with the service that I received for all my Kitty's and I have 4 beautiful little critters and all of them have been here at one time or another for different services. Thanks guys for helping me and my animals we all appreciate you. Nicole Floyd.

Gemini Jackson

Did not enjoy my time here at all. Very loud and noisy due to all of the dogs trying to fight with one another. No system set in place to separate the dogs. My cat was in distress the entire time. We finally get to the back and this Asian guy basically stole our money. $70 for a vet checkup/exam and the Doc only looked at my cat eyes, looked in his ears and looked at his butt. I could have done that for free! No exam was done whatsoever! He asked what have I noticed that is not normal? I had to do his job for him. My cat shakes his head a lot and he scratched his back raw. So he gives me some drops to put in the middle of my cats back and gives him 2 shots. And when I asked how much it would be, because he didn't tell me, he seemed agitated with me. No people person skills whatsoever. Now I'm out $270 and my cat is still scratching his back raw and shaking his head. This hospital was no help at all! Will never make the mistake of coming here again!

Kelly E

Everyone is very nice. Very clean. This is definitely our new vet and considering we live in Hobart...

Inez Copelin

Very Friendly And Trustworthy Staff, Saved My Little Puppies Life. Great Service

Eric Manter

Always great service

Alyssa Kikalos

Not only is this place way overpriced, but Dr. Han is an awful vet who should’ve probably picked a different career. I’ve been back 4 times within 3 months because of the same, recurring issue. Instead of fixing the actual problem, he likes to just send me home with bottles of pills that we’ve tried each time prior that only work for 3 weeks and then back to square one. On top of that, he is constantly annoyed by mine and my dog’s presence. I will never let him around my dog again. I saw Dr. Foster once and he was substantially better and more knowledgeable/ personable!

Cherie Cordero

Always the best in service and very attentive staff. Huge group of doctors so no pressure from overwhelmed providers.

Cheryl Jurincie

Staff is friendly and caring. Always feel like my dog and I are getting the proper amount of attention.

Dave Ressler

Great staff behind the counter and in the exam rooms.

Michael Earl

Very good vets and stafg

Cristal Lopez

After 12 years of taking my dogs here, I will no longer seek any type of medical attention at this location. I brought my dog in on a Thursday with extreme discomfort and after a $700 vet bill, I had to call the vet on Saturday at 1pm to see if they heard back on any of his labs (I repeat, *I had to call*) for them to tell me the vet that saw him is out until Tuesday and he'll call me then. So here's my dog suffering and I'm told I'm not going to hear anything or get any type of relief for him for another 3 days. After expressing how wrong this is and asking for ANY doctor to talk to me, they said a doctor will call before they close at 5. By 4 o'clock I had to call (yes, *I* had to call them) and finally a doctor read off a sheet that the cytology is inconclusive and I may want to come in when the doctor that saw him is back on Tuesday for further tests. At this point I made my decision to NEVER return and asked for all his records to be emailed to me before they close so I can seek medical attention elsewhere. I had an appointment made at another clinic for Sunday at 2 pm, but Saturday night my dog started to vomit and bloody diarrhea. Let me remind you, Munster Animal Hospital has yet to give me all his labs from Thursday that I paid $700. My dog has been taken to the emergency vet and all these tests were repeated (at this point all I wanted is answers because his condition was rapidly getting worse) and he is now being treated with fluids and his pain is being managed. Munster Animal Hospital made me pay $700 for NOTHING. They did NOTHING. And wanted me to wait until Tuesday after paying a ridiculous $700 for doing NOTHING to help my dog. This is the very first negative review I have ever left anywhere but what happened was wrong on so many levels. I fully understand now that this facility looks at pets with dollar signs in their eyes. The experience has been callous and impersonal ever since they moved to the larger facility. NEVER again will I return and I will be sure to tell every pet owner in the area of this horrible experience. You have lost a 12 year customer, Munster Animal Hospital.

Andrea Romo

I normally don't do reviews, but I had to do one this time. I took my dog in for a quick ear and anal gland check up and got Dr. Han. Health wise she was overall perfectly fine until after I took her here. After the vet visit I started noticing her acting very lethargic and not like her usual self. She wasn't eating nor drinking water, had loss of balance, and her eyes were swelling up. I thought it would wear off after she slept it through but nothing had changed, and she seemed to be in a lot of pain. I then called them the next day to ask if maybe they had given her something to relax her since she was very fearful of Dr. Han, which could explain her acting lethargic and very low-energy, not wanting to do anything but sleep. They told me that he hadn't given her anything, but if she was acting weird to come back. I didn't get a good feeling from the Dr since the beginning so I knew that I definitely did not want to take my dog back there. I didn't wait any longer and went to a different vet who then diagnosed her with trauma to the eyes. The vet explained to me that, that had been the reason for her acting strange and lethargic and gave me the appropriate medicine to treat her. The thing is that her eyes and overall health were perfectly fine before that first vet visit, but somehow she comes out of there with eye injuries and in pain? Definitely not going back there. Please please please be wary of where you take your dogs, and visit doctors that have a genuine love and respect for all animals.

Susan Pfannenbecker

I was visiting a friend in Dyer, IN, and my dog was with me. She was 13-years-old at the time, and had developed a cough after drinking--as if she were aspirating the water. She was also drinking endlessly. Pepper went through a series of tests ruling out diabetes, Cushings disease, and some other things I don't even remember. An enteroscopy revealed that her epiglottis has a granular surface--probably from many allergies she has--and probably doesn't seal correctly. I (Pepper) could always see the same doctor; they were very gentle with her. They have great hours. Only complaint was the seating! Rather uncomfortable.

Joseph Tomsic

The professionals and staff at Munster Animal Hospital always perform at a customer-centric level. I alway feel confident that my best buddy "Teddy" will receive the highest quality care when I drop him off. Keep up the good work!

Rachel Economou

Always kind and courteous, this staff is well equipped to take care of all my pets needs. Jake (my dog) loves to get groomed there. Other groomers had him heading for the door. There he is excited to greet his groomer and get taken care of. The doctors there are amazing and are very professional. They even take their time to explain exactly what a diagnosis means. I would endorse and recommend Munster Animal Hospital to anyone.

Mother Goat

My first visit to the Munster Animal Hospital was an emergency visit. My regular vet was closed and my oldest cat was sick. MAH doesn't take appointments so I arrived and was seen almost immediately. My cat had to stay overnight and had to have several tests administered. The office staff and doctor were very clear and professional, yet caring and thorough when it came to telling me what was going on with my cat. We had to get her transferred to Purdue for additional care, but MAH kept in touch and kept us in the loop as well as collected the records from Purdue. I continued to visit MAH for routine exams for my cat until I moved recently. I'd recommend that place to anyone moving into the area or already there. You'll rarely wait a long time even though they don't take appointments; they're very polite and organized, the clinic is clean and up-to-date. Great hours too!

M.R RZ

If there was a zero star I would give it. I used to come here and love it Dr. Foster was also very nice but most importantly very knowledgeable and professional. I felt real comfortable with him and left knowing exactly what was wrong with my pet. Well today was the absolute WORST experience at this place. DR. HAN is very RUDE. At first he seemed nice but then comming back he showed his true colors. I as a pet mother asked questions about my dog's wound, he answered a few. But then got annoyed or ticked and DARED to tell me "I think I've answered enough questions here" with a firm voice and walked out right after that! Wow the nerve of this Dr! Who does he think he is,talking to a client like that yet alone a very nice client and I'M PAYING YOU to help me help my pet! That was SUPER RUDE and very UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I left not understanding what was wrong with my pet. And for that I promise you I will NOT be comming back to see him. How is he even a vet?! Honestly. The staff is great but he is the worst vet I"ve ever met PLEASE MUNSTER ANIMAL HOSPITAL REMOVE HIM FROM YOUR HOSPITAL AT ONCE! He is really bringing you guys down.Theres lots of nice reviews on here about this hospital but im pretty sure they are because of Dr. Foster and others except for Dr. Han. He needs to be addressed asap. That is NO WAY TO TALK TO A NICE PAYING LOYAL CUSTOMER!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!! I WILL BE LOOKING INTO OTHER ANIMAL HOSPITALS RIGHT AFTER WRITING THIS REVIEW!!! AND PLEASE DO NOT REPLY BACK SAYING YOU ARE SORRY THAT THIS HAPPENED. ONLY REPLY IF DR. HAN IS NO LONGER WORKING AT THIS HOSPITAL ANY LONGER!!! HONESTLY HE SHOULD NOT BE A VET PERIOD! He also charged me to recheck my pet after I was there literally w 2 days ago! #DO NOT SEE DR.HAN,ASK FOR SOMEONE MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL!!!

Paula Valle

Very caring & not expensive

Danielle Troyer

I board my pug here every few months. The staff are great! I just wish they would be open for pickups on Sundays.

Gina Furdeck

I brought my Chihuahua with concerns after she gave birth to puppies. I seen Dr John Young and he was very nice, patient, and thorough. He answered all my questions and concerns. Great Vet.

Michael Little

Very clean, friendly welcoming smiles and good customer service.

Vanessa Garcia

I've been taking my dog of 13 years here for her routine checkups. I called heartbroken at the fact I would need to lay my dog to rest and was asking the receptionist about cremation after euthanasia and she treated me like a bill. I seriously was distraught and the woman had absolutely no compassion for me or my family. I'm very surprised and disgusted at this place and will be sure to never take any of my pets here. Called Hammond animal clinic and they were great. They were very personal and knew this was a hard time for us.

Chris Gutridge

I have been coming to Munster Animal Hospital since my German Shepherd was 8 weeks old today he turned 2 years old. Easy has made himself known at Munster. He completed his puppy training classes at Munster when he was 3 months. He received his certificate from "Tony" who was really great with the puppies. I have never had any issues with the staff. We have always felt welcomed and confidence in the Doctors, Groomers and front desk staff. Easy wears us out when he realizes he is on the way to Munster. As soon as we turn the corner he goes crazy.... will pull us all the way to the door.... just frantic.... that's a dog who loves his vet. He has been boarded and again we have never had any problems... we recommend Munster to everyone we know who has a pet. Munster is a little expensive for some .... but as the saying goes "You get what you pay for"... so we are staying with Munster Animal Hospital...... All The Way!

Great place

Wayne Anderson

Very good place to take your pets, knowledgeable and caring vets and an efficient front desk staff that gets you in and out. Over the years we have experienced other vets, but Munster Animal Hospital is heads and shoulders above the rest. Highly recommended.

Steve Lee

They take good care of my fur baby.

Zach Higgins

Very caring staff! We enjoy taking our pets here!

Jenkins Hightower

Horrendous experience... my cat died while undergoing an anesthesia exam. And thats after they billed me $700 dollars for other exams he didn't need.

Jamie Mitchell-Moreno

I am very pleased with the care my dogs have received at Munster Animal Hospital. Everyone is so kind to the pets. They take their time with you and any questions you may have. I was surprised they had "walk-in" service versus appointments. Their prices are very fair also.

Karl DeLooff

Good care, competent staff, nice facility. A bit more expensive, but no issues.

Gregory Hedrick

Great customer service

Kenny D

Nice and clean. No appointment needed. Cost is a little high but I think it's worth it for a good experience and clean place to take your pets.

I have been bringing my dogs here for the last 11 years. I always knew they overcharged but a few of the vets there in the past have been kind. Recently my 9 year old developed a tumor and they said the only way to handle it was to surgically remove it to find out if it was cancer. The surgery went well but they said they needed to keep her overnight. Here's what you need to know, no one stays overnight with your pet. My baby died alone and in pain overnight with no one there to help her, at an animal hospital. I could have brought her home if I knew that. They were negligent and just to add insult to injury they still laid out a $1200 bill for me to pay. For my dead beloved dog. I am heartbroken and will never come back there again. Don't let the nice pleasant facility fool you. They are all about the money and only care about how much they make off of your pet. Alive or dead.

Sandy is superb, Dr. Lovick is such a gentlemen and his support for Jack is awesome.

Second surgery in a year for our little pugle. It is the only place I would bring a pet. They are great !!!!!!!

Gary Cunningham

The best of the best, in our animal world!!

James G Dobos

Very professional, excellent staff and my husky loves going there!!

Christa

I've taken multiple pets here over the years for checkups & the staff is always helpful. My pets haven't needed surgery or a stay in the kennel, so I can't review those

Jorge A

They took great care of my dog. This will definitely be my doggies doctors office.

Absolutely terrible. My mother and I took our cat there a few years ago. His kidneys were failing. We were given 2 options. Either pay for a very expensive operation or watch our baby die. We got a second look from woodmar clinic. Special diet food had him back on track in 2 weeks. The people who we dealt with in Munster were cruel and cold. Money was the main motive. Dispicable.

Excellent service just I can afford it

I can understand why Munster Animal Hospital has been voted best in region 4 years in a row! They deserve it!

I love that when we walk in the girls behind the counter know Trooper and give him lots of attention. Doctor spent quality time (sitting on the floor) examining Trooper, and answering my questions. She was reassuring, and complimentary of his manners. Check out was quick yet thorough. We are BIG fans of MAH !

Worst animal hospital ! All they care about is money. I took my German Shepard because she wasn’t active and green liquid was comming out of her & constanitly throwing up water. When we bought her in they said something had erupted from her stomach and had to do emergency surgery. After the $2,000 surgery she came out with a limp on her back leg & we mention it to them and they said she had “low protein” after we gave her plenty protein they kept saying she was still low. After the surgery they inserted a drainage tube & sugusted to leave it on for 2 weeks. She accidentally bite it off and when we took her to the emergency again they took x rays and said she was clear that she doesn’t need the drainage . After we told them why wouldn’t she need it if they said to have it on for 2 weeks if she only had it for 2 days before she bite it off ? They had no answers. As we were cleaning her stitches a lot of green and yellow discharge was coming out of her stitches. We had mention it to the Dr & he said oh we will look at it later & they never did because we couldn’t afford to pay an extra $2,000 for a second surgery. I showed him pictures and he took only 5 sec to look at it . If you’re a Dr and really care about pets, you should look at it there and then. A couple days later my dog’s leg got worse that she couldn’t walk anymore and haven’t use the bathroom for 2 days. We took her back and they said “ oh she has a lot of white cells” we ask to have more information about it and the Dr. only kept repeating “ she just has a lot of white cells which is bad”. After hours my dog got worse so we took her to a different hospital. They did an x ray and said they will send it to the Munster hospital. The next day we went to the Munster hospital to talk to them about the situation. I mention that the other hospital had did an X-ray and the dr said “ they did ? Let me check” and he checked it in front of us for 10 seconds & later sugusted he will take a better look next time . What kind of doctor would say that. Giving us less hope to trust you. Earlier the day my dog passed away we took her to the hospital to help her with her leg and she started to look worse. They said we can put her on IV or do a second surgery to check for another $2,000. After we said we couldn’t afford it may we do payments . They said no they weren’t allow to do that. And if they wanted to leave her at the hospital for IV only. To pay $1,000 deposit. Since we didn’t have enough money and they didn’t want to help us with different methods to pay. We took her back home and took her to a 2 hour drive hospital for a second option they told us she wasn’t going to make it by the look of her & if we wanted to do another surgery it would be $4,000 . later that night she passed away. Also after telling my friend about it, she told me her co worker had work there and left as soon as he notice how their bad treatment was towards the animals. Also my mother had ask one of the employees if we should trust this hospital. He said I recommend you going to a different hospital. If you love your pets . Do not take them there.

I love the care and convenience of Munster Animal Hospital. The hours have recently changed, but they are still very liberal and offer you a great ability to have your pet treated. I have utilized many veterinary clinics over my years in the Chicago area, and I love Munster's walk-In policy. This creates a much more efficient level of care and optimizes the doctor's ability to move through patients. I have never waited longer than 20 minutes to be seen at Munster, and I've been a patron for at least 5-6 years. I have also found the manner of the doctors and support staff to be 2nd to none. Thoroughly knowledgeable and very caring. Lastly, the staff at front desk is the best! The accompanying picture shows my 10 year old rescue that they saved! This is Titan following foreign body gastro surgery. I'm happy to say that he's better than ever.

Great experience all was good !

Caring doctors, helpful staff and excellent boarding experiences for my little dog with special medical needs. Shots seem a little pricey but worth it in the long run.

Sam Spicer

We'd been going there for years but all of a sudden the medicine and service prices started to spike. I felt like I was being gouged.

Rachel Brauer

Munster animal hospital has been my source of care for my dog since he was a puppy. They have a great vet staff, the techs are friendly and knowledgeable, the front staff are great, and I love the groomers. I have no complaints and have had a great experience every time, whether I was there for vaccinations, surgeries, illness, grooming, or a nail trim. Boarding was also a great experience. Can't recommend a better place for your pet!

I've been taking my fur babies to Munster Animal Hospital for a long time. They've taken Great care of them and me through happy and sad times. A few months ago we lost our 3 year old Doberman to cancer. They were there every step of the way doing whatever they could to try and save his life. They were all very comforting and cried with me which tells me they truly do care. I wouldn't go anywhere else. We love them ❤️❤️❤️

Munster Animal Hospital has cared for our pets for over 20 years. Their facility is clean and has the latest equipment. But most of all, we trust our much-loved pets to them because the staff is professional and so very caring. We wouldn't take our pets anywhere else. Janet Sherwood Flores

Not happy with the care/surgery given to our dog which was ruled "inappropriate" and "a poor choice" by two other local vets. Also, do not purchase anything from there. Look on Amazon, a different vet, or a human pharmacy. Each pill from Munster Animal Hospital: $0.75. At a vet in Crown point... $0.03. Save 96% on medications and thousands on bad work by going elsewhere. Unless you don't like your pets, then go here.

this place is horrible!!!!!!! trying to get records or any information from them is like pulling teeth out of a rabid animal. I will never go there again! HORRIBLE!

Came in a few days ago with my cat who's been having dental issues..Got premium care from start to finish.. Couldn't have asked for better..My cat was very temperamental before he had his surgery..He is now like a differant animal...The staff and the vets all made me feel very at ease with the situation and couldn't have been more professional..We are so appreciative and greatful for the care we received!! Thank you so much Munster Animal Hospital!!

I made the very difficult decision six months ago to end the suffering of my beautiful cat, Savannah. I have to thank Doctor Young for the compassion and tenderness that he lovingly showed me during that sad time. He explored and weighed every treatment option and supported me in the decision that we both knew was the best one. He provided Savannah and me awesome care! I also need to thank Suzanne, Jessica, Barb, Katelyn, and Kevin for helping me during that painful time. You gave love to both of us. There are tears in my eyes as I write this review, but they are present because of the kindness that you afforded me and my beloved Savannah that sad day.

My dog was having seizures and after x-rays, The M.A.H. Vet. determined she has a heart condition. After paying over $700.00, THEY DID NOTHING FOR MY DOG!!!! They know what's wrong with my dog but only gave her arthritis medicine and antibiotics. I asked the vet on the 3rd visit if she is getting heart medicine. He said there is nothing they can do. WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL ME THAT BEFORE I SPENT OVER $700. I love my dog and know I have to consider euthanasia so my dog doesn't suffer.

Julia Atut

Everyone at this clinic is very nice and helpful. They are always conscious of my dogs anxiety and very calming. They have taken great care of my dogs and I will continue to go here.

On July 28, 2017 it came time for my beloved fur baby to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I had been a client of Munster Animal Hospital with all three of my fur babies for the last few years. I contacted the clinic that morning asking them about bringing my dog in to be euthanized. This is the first time I have ever done this and I did not know what to expect or how it would happen. The receptionist was very understanding and kind towards me and the overall situation. When we arrived, we were taken right back to the room. After some misunderstandings they came and asked if I wanted to stay with my dog. I told them yes. They said ok. A few minutes later they came back in and tried to take him away. I was already upset and did not understand as nobody explained why they were trying to take him away after I told them that I did not want them to (they wanted to put a catheter in and I told them no, I wanted the process to be as gentle as possible – and my dog was still fully there mentally, his back legs had given out). Dr. Wan Hon came in and was immediately defensive. I had never met this vet nor had he ever cared for any of my pets. He was defensive that I did not want a catheter put in. I tried explaining to him that my dog did not like needles and does better with a tourniquet. His defensiveness increased and started arguing about how he knows how to do this procedure. My only concern was my beloved pet. He continued yelling at me while I am upset about the whole thing. I left the room to ask the receptionist to have the other vet do the procedure. When I returned to the room, Dr. Hon is yelling at me to shut the door, he will call the police on me and nobody will do the procedure on my dog and we will have to leave. I did nothing to deserve this nor did my dog. This man has NO business working with pets. He does not have the compassion to work on beloved fur members of families. After yelling at both me and my mom, he leaves the room and continues yelling in the back (and all the clients in the front as well as the staff can hear him). After about 10 minutes he comes in and apologizes saying that he now understands that this is distressing for me (putting the blame for his behavior on me). Thankfully, the other vet, Dr. Foster, came in and did the procedure. Dr. Foster was kinder and I am grateful. However, by now, the last memories that I have with my beloved fur baby is filled with horrific acts by Dr. Wan Hon. The reception staff did everything they could to rectify the situation (especially Angie – which I am overly grateful for). I am leaving this clinic as there is never any guarantee that we will not have Dr. Hon again (the vets rotate and it is a walk in clinic). And I urge everyone to avoid Dr. Hon. He has no business working on beloved fur babies.

Friendly staff that care that your pet is getting good care

We found a very sweet kitty outside with a bad eye infection. We took her in to get checked out and we paid $54 for a physical exam and all Dr Han did was check her ears. He looked at her eyes for one second and said she has an infection. Didn’t even seem interested in giving her a full physical to see if she was okay. He gave us ointment to put on her eyes and didn’t even show us how to do it. He was going to charge us for an antibiotic shot and the ointment and flea medication without even saying how much it would be. I had to ask everything. The assistant was way more helpful and caring towards the kitty and told us how nice it was to have brought her in. Even had to ask the doctor if it was a boy or girl or how old he thinks she is. He said young. Wow thanks! Not helpful at all and doesn’t seem caring. Thinking about going where I take my other cat who are all more caring about the wellbeing of my pets. Even call to ask how they are doing. So there are better places then this place. Nice ppl but not at all concerned about the animals wellbeing except the assistant. UPDATE: we brought our kitty back to check on the progress of her eyes, I asked to see the other doctor that was available which was Dr Young. I highly recommend him way more. He was talkative and way more informative. Told us so much things that we didn’t know that dr Han never told us. He was real nice.
