Dr Headley remembered me and my irgwr pets. He is a down to earth veterinarian and doesn't try to push unneeded sevices or tests on a client. He has a fantastic bedside manner and I am glad that he hasn't changed from the first pet I took to him in 1987.

My dog was really sick I mean puking, stuffy nose, couldn’t breath, couldn’t stay awake through the day. I called in the morning and they told me to come right in, I got there and immediately my dog threw up in the lobby, they cleaned it up and got me and the dog into an exam room within seconds, the nurse came right in and then the doctor followed. They were quick and very thorough in helping diagnose the cause of the issue . I’ve never been in and out of a vet clinic so fast. Highly recommend, I will not go to any other clinic for my puppers.

We have been a part of the Lincolnway Vet Clinic family for over 20 years now, and have received nothing but the best of service and care for our pets there. In the past they cared for our dog Jake, and for the last 10 years, they have been caring for our cat, Hannibal Lecter. We have found them to provide excellent care and practical advice for both dogs and cats. ALL of the staff at Lincolnway Vet Clinic is always caring, skilled, and personable - from the wonderful 'front desk' girls, to the great vet techs, and of course, our excellent doctors. They have handled several emergency situations for us with great expertise and compassionate care; more than once they have rescued our 'problem child', Hannibal! They are just a really neat group of people; you couldn't find better, more dedicated folks to care for your pets. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

I took my cat to get fixed today. About an hour after I dropped her off, the same nurse I handed her off to called me and asked how she was doing. I’m like ......uh she’s with you... she said “she didn’t realize”. When I dropped her off, I told the nurse I was nervous. She said they would send me a picture of her after surgery to make sure I’m not worrying all day. 8 minutes before I was supposed to pick her up I received a picture of her with the wrong name. The text said “Rex feeling better after surgery ????” When I finally went into get her they told me I owed them the full balance due when I had prepaid the full amount. After getting that straightened out I sat in the waiting room for an additional 30 minutes until I finally was able to take her home.

Talk about only wanting money to keep up that happy “we’re a family” appearance. Took my cat here to try and save him from dying. When I came back to check on how he was doing they lied to me telling me he was getting better. Then they tell me that the vet wanted to talk to me, I figured it would just be about what I need to do to make sure my cat continues to get better. My mother and I wait for what feels like an eternity and come to find out my cat had passed away moments before we came in. So not only did they lie to me about his status but they gave no effort to save him without knowing they had secure funds coming in. The vet was very cold to us, basically just stood there emotionless telling us our fur baby was dead. Straight away they started talking about the bill. In my time of grief all they wanted was money. I wouldn’t recommend going here unless you’re rich and heartless. My cat died in their care and they still charged me close to 700$. Very rude, and I will never be returning. If I could give zero stars I would.

Dr. Headley is very compassionate and experienced, and he and his staff always take excellent care of Tommy. My senior dog was having pain when he stood or walked so I went to Facebook and Google to get recommendations. We are fairly new to the South Bend area so I hadn’t found him a veterinarian yet. I read the other reviews on the Lincolnway Vet Clinic and decided to give them a try. I am SO glad I did! The receptionists got me in on the same day and the whole staff was very kind and courteous. The vet really knows her stuff and was very patient with my old boy and with me (I was a little flustered because my dog is like another baby to me). They treated him as I would and I’m very greatful to Lincolnway for being an amazing veterinary clinic. P.S- you get what you pay for, people! they aren’t the most inexpensive place around, but the quality of the staff, clinic, and knowledge was ENTIRELY WORTH IT!

My experience there has been horrible from the day one. My 2 year old and I woke up with flu symptoms on our first appointment for my 2 dogs. The receptionist was very rude on the phone when I called to reschedule. I understand the policy but that is not a very good way to start any kind of working relationship with any patient. When I got there I was 8 minutes late feeling just absolutely miserable. The same receptionist told me that I was going to be charged late fees. Their policy was that they charge late fee when the patient is late more than 15 minutes. We argued. As the time went by, the receptionist started saying now you are going to mess up everyone's schedule. I wanted to cancel but she was threatening me with a bill since I did not give 24 hour notice. When I was 8 minutes late, she insisted on charging me late fee. In the end she was raising her voice saying I need to pick one of my dogs to be seen because I was late and I'm going to get charged for both. At this point, I will be charged for both whether they will be seen or not. I asked to speak to the doctor. and I knew her from somewhere else so she said this is a big misunderstanding and she will see my dogs as scheduled. I should have left then. I made the biggest mistake to stay to be seen at the hospital like that. I used to take my dogs to Banfield. I've heard people rate Banfield negatively sometimes but compare to this hospital, Banfield always have been very professional and trustworthy. When the same receptionist who was nothing but despicably rude and unprofessional called Banfield to get my dogs medical record faxed to the clinic and she said she could only get one of my dog's record that Banfield did not have it. I called Banfield 2 minutes after she called and got my dog's "missing" record right away. I really do believe the receptionist did it on purpose. I was furious about this whole thing but since my dogs are now patients at this clinic, I decided to start over. So I made an appointment for their teeth cleaning. when I picked them up after a long day, the doctor did not even come into the room to talk to me. I asked their account manager about that later, and she said that is strange that doctor did not even come into the room after the procedure to talk to the owner of the pets. Every Vet that I had been to prior to that day, Doctors always made time to at least come talk and answer any questions I had. I had a question about one of the complimentary teeth cleaning products and the vet tech told me she had no idea how to use it but I should just read the instruction on it. And my dogs smelled like perfume for 2-3 days after the procedure. I asked the office manager about that on the phone and she said only thing she could think of is them putting dry shampoo on my dogs. I made complaints about everything I wrote on here but no one bother to call or said anything. I'm enrolled on their wellness plan so we are stuck there for another 10 months or so. I hope my dogs will stay healthy so that I would never have to leave them there. When I was reading other people's review, they got some good reviews as well as bad ones. That made me think they are nice to some but not to others. Who knows. If my family members or friends ask me for my opinions, I will definitely say no.

The front desk was extremely kind and caring. Our puppy was extremely nervous so the receptionist brought around a bandana with a calming mist on it to calm him down and it helped! Our experience was excellent and they are by far the best veterinary clinic we’ve ever been too. They even have a puppy package that covers most expenses including neutering for only $72 a month for a year. That helped us out a lot! The vet answered every question we had and took his time with us. They were all so kind and genuinely caring for our puppy and I couldn’t ask for better service! I’d put more stars if I could!!

Only gave them one star because zero stars was not an option. MY DOG ALMOST DIED after having surgery there because the very rude receptionist that took my call when I thought my dog was having post op complications stated she would NOT pass my concerns along to the vet or vet tech and she said my dog "looked fine" from the pictures she saw. Last time I checked a receptionist doesn't have the formal training to diagnose an illness or post op complications. I never got a call back from the vet or the vet tech but I'm sure its because the receptionist didn't even tell them.I was also told that if I couldn't get there before 3:30pm they would even try to see my dog because thats when they start seeing cats and its cats only after 3:30pm. I made an attempt to talk with the supervising receptionist about how awful this experience was but it was very clear on the phone she really had no interest in following up with her staff. I called my childhood vet clinic who fit my dog in right away and said its a good thing I got her there when I did because she was very clearly showing signs of sepsis from the surgery and a lot of the staples that were used to close the wound and supposed to be removed were left in and causing healing/wound complications. Our dog almost died because of how awful this clinic is and the self righteous stubbornness of one secretary. Its taken a long time for me to be able to right this review because I was so angry that I couldn't do it without using colorful language. I just don't want anyone else's beloved pet to die or come close to dying because they made the same mistake I did. I almost forgot... the same receptionist tried to charge over charge me and then tell me I owed the full amount of the bill when I had already paid several hundred dollars in cash in advance and only actually owed $50.

If ur spending alot of money like getting shots are surgery then they are extremely nice but if you go in there to just ask question or pick up pills seems like they all have attitude I had important question about getting my pup spayed I asked the nurses and they didn't know so when u ask to talk to vet they say sorry to busy n then when u miss an appointment over it cause ur unsure if surgery is gonna cause problems in future if do it to soon they charge u 80 bucks even tho the apoitment was canceled 2 months in advance idk first few times went was dropping couple 100 every apoitment and they were so nice then after that nothing but bad attitudes n not helpful one single bit if don't like ur job find a new one that simple.

I just started coming to licolnway veterinary clinic and let me say it was one of the best decisions I've made as a pet owner. My beagle is 9 years old and going to the vet is not a walk in the park with him but with the friendly staff and veterinarians he is comfortable. Their knowledge is impeccable and the fact that they keep in touch with you to make sure everything with you pet is doing great is fantastic. I will never go to another vet they've got my business for life. Plus they have reasonable prices and great payment packages for dogs of all ages.

I recently went back here after a incident where I felt the receptionist was rude and very poor customer service but the supervisor addressed it and I gave them another chance. My appt was last week and all was great, staff were friendly, thorough and kind. Today I went in to change an appointment so I did not hold up a schedule appt that someone else needed, at first McKenzie helped me and she was very pleasant to deal with but she had to do a check in so Chatlotte took over, when rescheduling a follow up for my dog she gaVe me a date of the 20th@11am, I was in agreement with this appt and then out of nowhere she said to me" well we can schedule for the 27th so you dont have to deal with me since I heard you dont like me". I was so irrate... how dare this woman think i care about who works what days when it concerns my dogs health and treatment. Shes a receptionist so i really wouldn't deal with anything pertaining to her but her rude,obnoxious and self centered comment clearly let me know she does not have my dogs best interest in mind and that should be a part of her job. I dont like her attitude but she had no right to say that. If this incident isn't resolved with this receptionist Charlotte I'm done going here, she ruins it for the ones that work there whom are committed and dedicated to their clients

I first visited Lincolnway Vet to put down my 17 year old Dachshund. They we're so caring and thoughtful! From the initial call for the appointment all the way through picking up my dogs cremains, they were so supportive. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone going through this experience. The atmosphere allowed me to sit with my dog on a couch and it felt professional, but comfortable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

In mid-april my dog Hayley was having inverted sneezing, minor bloody discharge from her nose and some pretty itchy ears. I did some research on vet around us. I found 2 vets that had wonderful reviews. The vets were Lincolnway vet clinic in Mishawaka and kyders vet clinic in granger. I chose Lincolnway because it was a bit closer to my house. We went to liconway and was seen by Dr. Jennifer Anderson. After Hayley exam the doctor told me that it was allergies and prescribed an antihistamine and some ear wash to help with Hayley’s symptoms. We went back about 10 days later for a recheck. At this time Hayley’s symptoms did not get any better. The doctor assured me that she just has allergies and we are treating her the best way possible. About month and half later Hayley’s eye started to swell a bit and became infected. Also, the sneezing was worse and she started not eating nearly enough for a dog her size. I made another apt with Dr. Anderson. At this apt I was told her had a fever of 103.8. We did a blood test to find out why her fever was so high. Because allergies shouldn’t cause that issue. When we got the blood test back one for Dr. Anderson’s vet techs called me and told me that her white blood cell count was high so, that meant infection, kidney failure or cancer. This was a hard pill to swallow for my family and I. Hayley is almost 12. We feared what would come next. After another test another one of Dr. Anderson’s vet techs called me and said that it was a kidney infection. We picked up more medication for her to start treating this kidney infection. I was told to call 4 days later to give the doctor an update. Within those 4 days she did eat more but, she started to get blood coming from her eye. When I called the doctor after the 4 days. The doctor wanted to see her again. At that apt. dr. Anderson couldn’t seem to figure out what was causing all these symptoms. She asked another dr. at her practice to come and take a look. The other doctor was in there for less than 5 mins and figured out that it was an abscessed tooth. This was concerning to me being that I have been treating this dog for allergies and a kidney infection. When the whole time it was a tooth. Dr. Anderson didn’t seem to think that all the money, time and heartache that she cause my dog and our family was a problem. My husband and I decided to take her to a different vet to get her health and tooth under control because at this point I don’t trust Dr. Anderson. I called the office to let someone know how unhappy I was with the care that I received from Dr. Anderson. I was told that she was the owner of linclonway vet clinic so I would hear from her. I did end up talking to her and did not at all see remorseful about the situation. I also bought up that I was hoping for some kind of reimbursement for the apt, cost. She informed me that she doesn’t handle financials so I would be hearing from her office manager. When the manager called me she said that the dr. would give me $40 dollars back for one apt. but at the same time was charging me for a “ consolation call” and that would cost me 29.50. After a few choice words I decided not to take the $10. Needless to say I took Hayley to kryder vet clinic in granger after a very long conversation about what was going on and more testing we finally have some real answers. My Hayley does have an abscessed tooth/teeth. The reason her eye and nose have had a bloody discharge is because she had a tumor behind her eye that is putting pressure on the eye and nose. So now she has a surgery scheduled for the teeth. As for the tumor……with her being 12, as of right now we are not going to treat it because of the location of the tumor and the service of the treatment. We are just going to make sure that she is not in pain because of her tooth. I just wanted to let everyone that will listen know the type of care that we received at linconway vet clinic in Mishawaka. Was horrible and I would never trust that practice with any of my family members again. Hopefully you won’t either

Never again. The staff is nice and prompt, however, they could use work in the billing area. I had to tell the receptionist to add an xray to my bill that wasn't charged. I paid in full using cash. Everything was fine until 3-4 weeks later when I got a bill in the mail with an outstanding balance. Thankfully I had my receipt and took it to the lawyer when they sent it to collections. Don't pay in cash, and keep your receipts.

Good vets and vet techs who know what they're doing but the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. I received a call two hours after my visit to tell me that THEY charged me incorrectly and that I would be billed for an extra $30. How is that my fault? I should not have to pay that. I'm a college student with an emotional support animal. I don't have $250 to fork out when my dog has allergies. This is absurd. I'm appalled.

This is our first visit. Upon arrival, I assumed they had scheduled all three of our pets. This was discussed extensively over the phone. Come to find out only two were scheduled, our two Beagles. Our 22 year old cat that was to be euthanize during our visit somehow wasn't scheduled. They did however try their best to accommodate. In addition, I did find the estimate over the phone did not match up to the actual cost. I left irritated with mixed emotions.

We drove an hour to get our dog looked over because it was required before we made an appointment to get her fixed...and we were 5 minutes late and they refused to do their 10 minute "look over" so we can proceed with the appointment to get her fixed. Terrible customer service. This appointment required no know new paperwork but a simple sign off to proceed, no bloodwork, no lengthy intrusion, they simply were too inconvenienced by being 5 minutes tardy. Just drove by and there are no cars in parking and they lied saying they could possibly fit us in.

I was fortuante enough to work as an intern at Linconway Veterinary Clinic during my schooling, so I was able to get a behind-the-scenes look at the clinic. I must say, if you take your pets here, you can be positive that they will receive the BEST care! If your pet has to stay for an extended time, for surgery or testing for example, rest assured that your pet will be LOVED, just as if it was at home. The staff treats their patients like they would treat their own pets, with caring, compassion, understanding, and love.The tech and assistants are VERY knowledgeable and the doctors take the time to listen to their clients. I would highly recommend bringing your pets here!
