The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the vet techs I encountered were phenomenal. They are such amazing ladies, who came in to talk to me regarding options for my 13 year old dogs injury, comforted my crying children, and helped me decide what we needed to do, when I never saw the vet again. The vet was rude and short when she was in there though, so maybe that was for the better. I wasn't fond of her. Then I get the bill and every little thing they can charge you for, they will. And at a high price. Over all I will not return, because of the doctor and their prices. However I will always, always be thankful for the 2 amazing vet techs who were there for me and my kids during a heartbreaking time. Those 2 ladies deserve so much better.

They wouldn’t let me pick 0 stars. Their new doctor, Dr. Roman Arteaga, was very rude!! First time I ever went there and the very last. He told me if I didn’t pay to get my dog a certain vaccine that she would die and they would have to cut her head off to find out what was wrong with her. Try a better way to upsale your vaccines!! Ugh that guy made me so mad I wanted to walk out right there but my baby needed her rabies at least. And they charged me like $100 for literally 2 seconds of her “physical”. This place is a joke. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN

I didn't make an appointment and I was able to walk in there with my dog and they were able to take a look at her within minutes. From the time I brought her in to the time I picked her up from surgery (she needed stitches due to a wound) it was less than 2 hours. They took great care and you could tell they enjoy what they do.

I have been going to this clinic since the late 60's. Vets have come and gone but the care has always been stellar!!!!!!! When I had to put my dog down 7 years ago they cried just as I did. MY vet, Dr. Amy Halaburt, is awesome!!! She goes above and beyond. She is always upfront answering questions about care and end of life decisions....never making me feel bad about what I decide. When I moved out of the area I looked locally for another vet but just was not comfortable having someone else care for my "kidz". So I make the 136 mile round trip every time. And I never regret it. Like Cheers..................everyone knows my name. :)

Run down high prices and horrible vet. I had to take cat to the highland animal hospital when I got there I thought to myself this place need a remodel it was dirty and run down once the vet finally saw us he was abusive to my cat he didn't have any patients when it comes to animals after he found out what was wrong with my cat he came up with a 3000 dollars quote. For how much they charge you would think they could afford better vets and remodel their place especially when you could go to South Suburban Animal Clinic and get 75% off what Highland Animal Hospital charge. The thing that made me was they charged me $200 for a x-ray and the vet check up and when I called to request the X-ray so the vet at South Suburban could look at it. They were trying to charge me at a ditional $20 dollars to send it to me keep in mind I just paid $120 for that x-ray that is just ridiculous I would recommend you guys go anywhere else then Highland Animal Hospital this place should be shut down and the vet should have his license taken away. I already filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau hopefully they do something about these horrible conditions.

Took my pup there for all of his check ups up until we had to say goodbye to him. The staff were always extremely understanding, patient and heartfelt. I would strongly recommend this veterinarian, they understand that our pets are part of the family too.

Miss diagnosed my best friend causing her death. New Vetenarian refused to further examine my puppy after I observed a drop of blood come out of her mouth. That drop of blood if properly diagnosed would have led to the fast going tumor. My regular vet quit the practice at Highland because of the owner of the clinic doing questionable things

When I asked why this happened I was told that it was a billing matter. After two times of seeing how this facility upcharges, I have decided not to return.

I took my tortious here for a eye infection and they did something to him now he has internal bleeding and is about to die.... horrifying place. Never bring your animals here, I wasent even allowed to see the vet.. lawsuit here I come

I like talking to the doctor about my pet not a tech. My pet had a leg amputated and I felt like just a number. He was not going to make survive long bring him back when he is coughing or vomiting. There has to be hope.

Thank you to the doctors and staff at Highland Animal Clinic in Highland IN. for their kindness, professionalism, honesty, and the dignity they gave Leroy in his final moments of his long life. We have used a number of places for euthanasia, and come to the conclusion that overall experience goes to Highland Animal. Worst, was Griffith Animal who told us we'd have to wait two days. Highland told me to bring Leroy in as they make euthanasia an emergency situation and will accommodate above others. When we were done saying our goodbyes, they carefully carried him off to another room and met us at a side door by our car with Leroy carefully, and securely wrapped in a new, clean cotton sheet for travel home. No walking through a full waiting room with a dead dog with head hanging out a bath towel.
