I drive 25 minutes to Dr Keifer and have for years. My sweet Bailey treated wth him for almost 15 years. His staff remembered my twin boys and would ask every time, and they were all aware, humored and patient with my separation anxiety filled sweet Bailey. Dr Keifer hugged me and gave me as much time as I needed with Bailey the day he passed. Honestly will never forget the genuine kindness and humanity. Bailey left a hole in our lives for sure. I didn't hesitate to introduce Dr K to our new pup Sissy when she came home. There are at least 3 vets offices within 5 minutes of my house. It's not even worth it to go I love this clinic to much.

I had no idea what a neighborhood treasure we had in Dr. Kiefer and the great staff at Georgetown Animal Hospital until recently. We had been driving a great distance to take Princess to her original vet in the suburbs, only to have that vet completely mis-diagnose her aggressive cancer as an infected gland. By the time we obtained a second opinion from Dr. Kiefer 2 weeks later, it was too late to intervene and the cancer was terminal. Dr. Kiefer gave us care and feeding instructions that allowed us to enjoy the maximum remaining time possible with Princess, and then was compassionate in the way he handled our visit when it was time to say our final goodbye to Princess. His staff was unfailingly caring and professional whenever we came in to get the food Dr. Kiefer prescribed for Princess. Also, I love that they work so hard to find homes for abandoned kitties, as Princess and her littermates started life as abandoned strays. While we aren't quite ready yet, it is a given fact that our next fur baby will be seeing Dr. Kiefer on a regular basis.

My dog was there for boarding and grooming. First of all the ladies at front desk appeared to be lazy, unorganized, didn't really know which area my dog was in, the one lady insinuating that I didn't know what my dog look like, because we on grooming side and kept saying you sure none of these your dog, I have salt/pep mini schnauzer, them were all black, white, tan dogs none schnauzer, when mentioned to second lady she too was like you sure well must be in boarding. when she did find my dog I see why ,my dog was supposed to have schnauzer cut, she was completely scalped. also tried to give me wrong belongings. Have been there several times and only once have they gotten schnauzer cut right, but never had bad service as this time. Time to find a new groomer. However, the Veterinary is really good though.

I was referred to Dr. Kiefer over a decade ago. Ever since then, he and the staff have taken fantastic care of all my animals. I have a Great Pyrenees who is over 12 years old and doing quite well, if that says anything. During my last visit, I was impressed when Dr. Kiefer was discussing care options not only from a clinical point of view, but with an understanding of my cat's physical and even emotional well-being. Their pricing is very reasonable. They remember and ask about my family. Highly recommend!

I wouldn't recommend this animal hospital if you have a pet insurance. Their delayed (and rude) service has been impeding our insurance reimbursement over a month. They are not nice anymore once you need further assistance that does not profit them.

Severely unhappy yet again. The first time i took my cat to get groomed here was August and I asked for a trim down all the way around to include a patch given for his butt and privates so nothung get stuck to him. I got a patch on his stomach and a half-assed trim down. When I told the groomer about it the second time i came in to get him groomed, she rolled her eyes at me and told me okay. When i brought him in this second time, I asked for a Lion cut which is where the tail is kept, he would have a main and I like him to have fur on his legs that look like booties. I told the groomer this is exactly what I wanted done with him along with the bottom of his paws trimmed down because he is furry there too. I let my husband go and pick up my little guy because I had come off of my night shift that morning. When i woke up from my nap and looked at my cat and that isnt what i got. My cat was shaved down only 3/4 of the way like i wanted. The leg fur that was left wasnt even trimmed down. Only 3 of the 4 paws were trimmed. AND his two from legs are still covered in fur along with his shoulders. His main was never trimmed down. Plus the shave on the part of his body that was shaved was patchy in places. Every time i tried to call on the day of his trim they wouldnt answer the phone. I finally gave up after an hour of calling them during their business hours. This wasnt worth $65 nor is it going to be worth my time to make another appointment. I promise i wont be making another one and i rather drive an hour to Lafayette, IN to get him groomed again. At least there it is done right and it is worth every dollar i pay. Plus they trim his nails, which this lady didnt do as well. I domt recommend anyone to use their groomer. Not only unprofessional but a half-assed job.

Wonderful! Dr. Kiefer is so caring, calm, and compassionate. I also feel he is very reasonably priced. All of my furry grandkids and my sisters animals go to him. Wouldn't take them anywhere else. Haven't had an emergency yet, so can't assess that. I would hope he would meet us in the office, but not many vets do that anymore.
