I had my 2 cats teeth cleaned. Dr. Freeland called me during the cleanings to inform me that my male cat had some decay occurring on 4 of his teeth. He was informative and suggested it was a good idea to go ahead and extract them, but left the decision to me. He was not pushy at all. Simply the best! Great Staff, Wonderful Veterinarians, Terrific Groomer. When I moved back to Indianapolis 2 years ago, I needed to find a vet for my dogs. I looked for AAHA accredited clinics, contacted each one listed and decided after talking with the staff at each clinic, that Freeland Animal Hospital consisted of many traits that I wanted in a clinic. I've been breeding Clumber Spaniels and Skye Terriers for 25 years. Both are rare breeds with their own set of genetic issues due to small gene pools. Dedicated breeders work with Veterinarians who keep up to date on all health issues and who will listen to what a breeder has learned during their years of working to save a breed from extinction. I wouldn't go anywhere else!!! Freeland Animal Hospital is simply the best in Indianapolis.

My dad has taken all of our animals to Freeland for as long as I can remember. I recently had to say goodbye to my Akita, Moxie. When we arrived for our appt, we were immediately greeted and put in an exam room. I appreciated the privacy for such an emotional day. The procedure was fully explained and went seamlessly. I had time to say my goodbyes and the staff was very caring and respectful. The other benefit is the reasonable price. And it included her paw print, around $200 or so. Not too expensive or incredibly low, but right where it should be. I definitely recommend and when we have another fur baby, we'll definitely go back!

The only problem I had was I was given a different price when I dropped off my cat. But when I picked her up they charged me the price they originally quoted. I think they were just confused. We rate Dr. Leon Freeland and the Freeland Animal with the highest rating. Our long-haired dachsund, Buddy, is 8 years old. He has significant health problems within the last year. Over a year ago he developed Cushings Disease. Developed a slipped disc in his neck just before Christmas 2015, and developed diabetes. Dr. Freeland and the hospital staff have went above and beyond trying to regulate his diabetes and cushings disease. Dr. Freeland sought the advice of specialists when he needed to regarding his care and began with a cautious dose of insulin until he found the right dose to give him for his diabetes. Today, Buddy is very energetic and happy. Although he still has the Cushings and diabetes, the Freeland Animal Hospital has given him the right medication to give him a good quality of life. At the first of the year, Buddy was lethargic and just wanted to lay. Now he his happy, and ready to play. We appreciate Dr. Freeland's tenacity to not give up on our little Buddy and the courteous caring attitude of his staff. My husband and I recommend them to anyone needing a good vet.

We recently switched to Freeland Animal Hospital and we could not be happier! The vet we used to go to would be in the room for a minute and we would never see him again. I thought this was the norm until we came here. We initially brought the pups in for their annual exam and shots and Dr. Premo spent over 30 minutes with us. It was so nice leaving the vet and feeling like they genuinely cared about our dogs. Dr Freeland and Dr Premo are great with animals. I have 3 cats and I have been using Freeland Animal Hospital for 3-4 years now. All the staff is friendly and polite. One of my cats is older and I like the fact that Dr Freeland gives me options on how to handle her issues. For instance, when she was having allergy symptoms this summer (like hayfever), he recommended an inexpensive OTC anti-histamine for her to take instead of some expensive pharmaceutical. You can tell that everyone in the office cares about your pets.

We have rescued a number of stray cats over the years, or more likely they have rescued us! Each have had some issue: a bad wound, skinny or simply afraid. Freeland Animal Hospital has been wonderful treating our dear cats, gentle and caring. We have presented them with some very unusual diagnostic challenges too which Dr. Freeland has tackled with all resources available. Costs for procedures are discussed with you so there are no surprises and are from what I have found talking with others usually lower than other vets. As I write this, our sixteen year old cancer survivor Toby has spent another Christmas with us is "helping" me with his bushy tail over the keyboard. Toby recommends Freeland Animal Hospital for all your pet friends too!

Freeland Animal Hospital has been helping me take care of my cats since 2004. One was an insulin dependent diabetic. Willie lived to be 19 and did not die as a result of his diabetes. Dr. Freeland helped me to get him there. I am a critical care/cardiac nurse and recognize good care when it is there, and I have gotten excellent care here. I referred my son and daughter-in- law there with their pets as well. Loving care and good solid medicine is what I have seen there. The vet assistants are very good as well.

The office visit prices are good (and they let you know ahead of time if they want to do something more expensive, like detailed blood labs). The cost of regular prescriptions through the office is a bit higher than some other nearby veterinarians, but they've partnered with a prescription-by-mail company that offers lower prices, so it's not a problem.

We took our rescue kitten to Freeland Animal Hospital. Dr Mark Graves was amazing! He spent so much time talking to us and took his time to do complete physical exam. It was very personalized and He seemed to care so much about our new family addition. Since we got him rescued from animal shelter. Despite the absolute worst car ride of my life (my cat, Conan, got sick in his carrier, and a train stopped on the tracks in my route, leaving me in a car with the most disgusting odor I have ever smelled in my life while trying to find a way around the train), spending $250, and seeing the customer in front of me at the reception area get horrible news about her dog, the staff at FAH managed to turn this trip into a tolerable, even pleasant, experience. I was very impressed with everyone I met there: reception, kennel assistant(?), vet tech, and vet. The staff was exceedingly kind, caring, and patient. They cleaned up Conan and his carrier, and both the tech and the vet took time to get to know Conan and me. There was also no upselling, which I always appreciate. We had been seeing Noah's off 56th St, but since we moved a little north (and I was never that impressed with Noah's), we thought we would try a different vet. This is definitely our new vet.

Love the care & knowledge of the doctors. Cost of medication is pricey. Go to Costco's for your prescriptions needs better prices. Check first to see if they carry what your need and ask the vet for Alternatives meds that aren't as pricey and those that Costco's might carry!

The most amazing vet in the business. He took care of my Buddy from 4 years till his last day at 14. The advice and choices of treatments he gave made everything simple. He even went as far as sending reminders when it was time for shot up updates, teeth cleaning, and medication tests. Dr. Freeland even came out to our home when it was time to let Buddy go, so he could be in a comfortable place. The staff is just as wonderful as he is. You can tell these people love what they do. Bring your furry family member here there's no other place.

Companion Animal Hospital is a vet where you feel at ease and the vet and staff give you information every step of the way concerning your pet(s). They also have an excellent boarding and grooming service. It's nice that you can pick up your pets on Sunday. I believe my pets get a five star treatment when they are there.

We've been going there for years, and we love it. Dr. Freeland and his staff are always friendly, caring and professional. Our pets have received excellent care and grooming, and the facilities are clean and first rate. There have been a couple of times (when we needed last minute grooming or kennel) we took our dogs elsewhere, and we noticed how much better Freeland's was. Kudos to everyone at Freeland's for keeping their hospital such a wonderful place. Highly recommend Freeland's to everyone.

My rat terrier has to have all but 4 of her teeth pulled. They were pretty cheap considering how much work was done and they made everything very easy. I just had to drop the dog off in the morning and come back after she had recovered. The staff definitely show they care about your animals:)

maybe i am missing something or it is just my bad luck with having to go in on the weekends to pick up a pet for a friend. This past weekend the service was horrible, but only the girl at the front desk. I have done this many times and the bill is prepaid but they always seem to not understand this. Usually they are very polite just confused. this weekend the girl was very rude and snarky. It must have been an on going theme because while i was there someone called and got frustrated and hung up on her. 2 other people came in and were not happy. I have begged my friend to find a new place for her pup. Now i have put my foot down. I will NOT pick up her dog if she doesn't find another place to bored her pup!

I wish I could give 10 stars. Dr. Freeland and Dr. Premo are amazing people. They are so smart, thorough, and caring. They have saved my kitten's life (he was extremely sick and I was afraid he would not make it). The entire staff seem like wonderful, caring individuals.
