I don't know what it is about Churchman but I take both my cat and dog to Dr. Dristas and they both are completely calm there. The staff makes them feel right at home! They are always quick to answer any questions I have and are always happy to answer. If I could give them more stars I would. I will never go any where else! Thank you Dr. Dristas and staff for being so great to my animals and making trips to the vet pleasant and not scary for them.

On December 13th we brought our beloved family member Boomer for an initial consultation. Dr.Chris performed not only an initial assessment but provided us with pricing and options beforehand to confirm further Boomers diagnosis. He discussed with us financial situations and our beloved boys comfort and quality of life. Throughout the entire process Dr. Chris, Kayla, and Sara displayed care, respect and compassion for us and our boy Boomer. Sadly, our 13 year old boy was in the advanced stage of cancer and quickly declining. We had to make a tough but fair decision to give him his long deserved rest. I want to acknowledged and thank Dr.Chris and the staff for not only your commitment to quality care and compassion for our beloved furry family member, but your commitment to pet parents and family. We will not only refer you, We will be seeing you in the future when we rescue our next boy or girl.

Dr. Chris and his staff provide nothing but simply OUTSTANDING service! A knowledgeable and experienced veterinarian, Dr. Chris has always taken the best care of my dog. It's obvious he truly cares about the patients brought to him, and if you love your pet, take them to Churchman.

Our family has entrusted Dr. Chris Dristas and his staff with the care and well-being of our family pets for over 15 years. I can personally say that hands down there isn’t a finer more caring Veterinarian in the city. Our family has relocated the Northwest side of Indiana and we wouldn’t consider taking our pets anywhere other than Churchman Animal Hospital. Medical care is certainly not a cheap endeavor and we are by no means wealthy. However, when it comes to the type of care and attention we receive from Dr. Chris, we truly feel we are getting our monies worth. To give you a quick example, I’ve known Dr. Chris to sleep overnight at the hospital just to ensure that animals didn’t have complications after a surgery – how many Vets do you know that would do that? He truly cares. Thanks Dr. Chris for everything!

On July 27,2018 we took our dog here . Worse decision we could have made . After the vet looked at our dog they asked us , "WHAT IS YOUR BUDGET ?". Are you kidding me is the only thing going through our minds . The vet is RUDE , UNCARING ,HAS NO BEDSIDE MANNERS AT ALL . He makes you feel horrible because we didn't have that much money for all the testing he wanted to do . HOW DARE YOU SAY WE DIDN'T CARE THAT MUCH FOR OUR PETS .

I found their office by accident. Last year a sweet dog showed up at my house, He had no collar. I called and they offered to check to see if the dog had a chip free of charge. as it turned out he did. because of their caring staff I was able to reunite the dog with it's owner. When I adopted a homeless dog. I took him to Dr.Chris. He performed the initial exam. and asked if if It was ok to perform additional test on my boy as he had been sick. They worked up an estimate, a young lady came in went over the estimate with me as well as payment options and financing. I agreed test were performed and my boy was put on medications. They did a follow up call and let me know if I need anything please call. I just love the vet and his staff. They may not be the cheapest. but they are the best Thank you Dr. Chris and staff for your dedication to our furry family members.

Recently received two vaccine reminders for my dog who has been deceased for nearly 1 year now. We spent thousands of dollars with them, putting us into debt doing everything we could for her. Her passing was devastating to us. I called to let them know immediately when we had to put her down, as it had to happen at an emergency VCA since her health declined outside of their business hours. However, it appears that they did not care to deactivate her and update our records. I am 9 months pregnant, so seeing those reminders for her over due vaccines were the last pieces of mail I wanted to receive at this time. Due to this careless oversight, we do not plan on returning.

My Great Dane was taken great care of at the Churchman Animal Hospital. They were quick and efficient with a relaxing atmosphere for my nervous 1 year old horse of a dog.

I agree with another post on here. If you have little money at that particular moment..forget it. The only way the "doctor" would work with us on payments is if we would let him kill my pet instead of helping it. Doc was not compassionate at all and kind of rude about things. Not to mention my pet was in pain and felt he was a bit inconsiderate and rough in handling my cat. Have not been back and WILL never be back nor would I recommend this vet to anyone. Totally disgusted with bedside manner and ethics. Nothing can be said or excuses made to justify that type of unprofessional behavior. Period!

When he would call us on results for our cat, he would spend sometimes between 30-45 minutes on the phone, and he’s NOT getting paid for that time. The other staff are also so comforting. We recently made the decision to put our cat down and it was comforting to be able to talk to his entire staff, the compassion they have and the stories they shared about their own personal experiences just made this place feel like home. This vet will always get our business.

I have been bringing all of my pets to Dr. Chris for the last 21 years, when I first moved to the area. He gave my very first dog (my rescued Rottweiler) her first well puppy visit, and every visit after that for the remainder of my Rottie’s life. He was there with me 13 years later when the complications of her diabetes had reduced her quality of life to the point that we had to put her down. I will never forget the kindness and compassion I received that day, and the genuine empathy I felt from Dr. Chris and from his staff. Since then, Dr. Chris has seen my Boxer since her very first appointment, and I will never take any pet to anyone but him. Anyone who really knows him can see where his heart is: he genuinely loves the animals. His staff is exactly the same way. Thank you, Dr. Chris. Thank you to all of the staff people whose names I can’t rattle off right now. I appreciate each and every one of you!

Dr. Chris has provided excellent care to all of our pets that we have had in the family. He always keeps the well-being of the pet in front of anything else. If you have a pet, you must be a responsible pet owner. It's easy to medicate the pet, but it's not that simple if you want to HEAL the animal. Dr. Chris provided our cats and dog the best care and the many great years of life! I wouldn't take my cats and dogs anywhere else.

Had a german shepard that had an expanded heart, he knew exactly what was wrong with her and ordered a bunch of tests so he could squeeze more money outa a dying dog! Never again will I ever go back! Low! You cand be a doctor for so long and not recognize the breed and symptoms. So just save the B.S! Will NEVER go back there!
