I was an out-of-towner with a Pom suffering with treated congestive heart failure. She had a tracheal spasm and I was really worried and wanted her checked. While they had never heard of us before. they went out of their way, gave us an appointment the day we called and were absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough great things! The facility is totally clean with a top shelf staff from the person who took my call to the vet who took his time to truly check my baby and explain to me his observations. I trusted what he said and it was confirmed when we returned home and saw her primary care vet. She is now on the additional med Brookville discussed. I have been a client of Brookville Road Animal Hospital for over 30+ years and Dr. Canada has always been my vet! I trust this man with my pets lives! He is very knowledgeable and personable! Change is hard however Dr Canada brought the new vets on so I trust his decision! I will always go to Dr. Canada unless he is not available! My boxer was very ill became jaundice and his organs were shutting down! Dr. Dryden was there that day and he saved my dogs life! He had to say there for about a week and it was so scarey for me but Dr. Dryden kept me informed on my dogs progress and discussed with me thoroughly on what our best options were! I recommend this vet practice 110%!

My lil old man had to have a large fatty tumor removed. It was his first surgery since his neuter nine years ago and this momma was terrified. I’m pretty sure everyone there thought he was being put down by how much I cried with him in the waiting room. Anyway, it’s a week later and he’s doing amazingly well. We were treated with such great care! I especially appreciate Emily, the woman at the front desk whom looked me right in the eyes when I was at my most upset and assured me that he would be okay and that his experience was very normal. She made that first night with him bearable.

They have multiple doctors that are all great, I've also enjoyed that if one dr is unsure, they can instantly get a 2nd or 3rd opinion right then without you having to go to another vet and paying more money. They can usually get you into surgeries right away, and have care credit if you need help paying. I've also been told that they have some doctors who specialize in cats.

The staff was professional and the clinic was amazingly organized and clean. I thought it would cost me a fortune but it wasn't. I couldn't afford to take my kitty to a no good clinic because he was really sick. I took my cat to a different clinic a year ago and it was a complete rip off. So this time I carefully chose this one. I can't thank the doctor enough. I would definitely recommend this clinic

Our amazing vet is Dr. Glore. My wife and I have 4 dogs (3 chihuahuas and 1 pitbull). She has handled our extremely small teacup chi with great care. No one has seen one so small and Dr. Glore is very knowledgable. She is concise, honest, and informative. If she can handle our tiny dog she can handle any dog!! Brookville as a whole is very affordable and an inviting environment. We never have a wait and they sometimes get us in early. I love that they give us access to our accounts via a pet portal.

We have been going here for over 30 years. Dr Canada is great. Now the place has changed from a 1 Vet, two exam room place to a multi room and Vet hospital. With the expansion, the level of care for your pet and for the owner has just grown. Dr Canada has partnered with a great team of Vets.

This place is special. I had taken my dog to many other vets. Some were ok, others terrible. But everyone at Brookville Road Animal Hospital is so caring, so nice, and so good at their jobs, I sincerely can’t say enough about them. Dr Kunkler is amazing. My dog was dying two years ago. Other vets were ready to give up. But she and her team saved his life then and gave him two more years of joy (and charging me literally thousands of dollars less than those other vets). In early September, my dog Olive began to limp, within 2 weeks she was dragging her back leg, unable to walk. I sought out Dr. Timothy Lee, almost 20 years ago my puppy Scruffy was hit by a car, paralyzed from her shoulders back and in severe pain. I was going to put her down, but my vet recommended Dr. Lee in Anderson. He immediately put her under and injected dye into her spine and could see a pinched nerve between discs. I left her there for surgery expecting the worst. When I picked her up 2 days later, she was on a leash, standing, she lived full, long life . This time my vet knew Olive had spinal nerve damage, it was obvious. When looking up Dr. Lee I was happy to see he was just a few miles from home and not in Anderson. I made an appointment to be the first in line, he said she was "fixable" and took her right away. He called after finding a tumor and asked if I wanted to proceed, I did, after all, he worked a miracle on Scruffy. He removed the tumor( tested benign) drilled a lager hole for the nerve and I picked her up a day later. I had to keep her down for weeks, walk her out with a sling, then begin rehabbing her, letting her learn to walk again. In the beginning I didn't think she had a chance, but I followed Dr.'s orders and slowly but surely, she began to walk, rebuilding her atrophied muscles, and now is able to run again! Another miracle, Thanks to Dr. Lee and all the staff at Brookville Rd Animal Hospital. Rick Williams

I took my English Bulldog, Faith to them for a TTA knee surgery (torn acl). Dr. Dryden performed her surgery. Immediately when Dr. Dryden first examined her, I knew she was in good hands. He greated us briefly and instantly acknowledged, Faith. She is a very shy dog but he earned her trust almost instantly(never happens). Once we consulted with Dr. Dryden and decided to go ahead, the experience was a great one, considering. The staff was always helpful and kind. Dr. Dryden was always available when we needed. I would recommend them very highly if your pet needs a knee surgery. They even called us and sent pics of our dog while she was in recovery. Absolutely fantastic!!

I took my 11 year old Puggle, Angus, here today after I found a lump on him. We saw Dr. Sharon Kunkler and I can't say enough good things about her and Brookville Road Animal Hospital. Sharon was extremely friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. I could tell she really loves her job and cares deeply for animals. She was also very quick and efficient. I never waited in the room for more than a few minutes and I was in and out in less than an hour with great news: Angus is cancer free! His lump turned out to be a benign, fatty tumor. This hospital is very clean and affordable, with a friendly and professional staff. I'll be taking all of my fur babies to Brookville Road Animal Hospital from now on. This was by far the best experience I've had at an animal hospital. I would highly recommend this hospital and Dr. Kunkler!

Very impersonal and apathetic vets. My dog required an urgent surgery for cancer. Well, they were quick enough to jump on the opportunity to operate on him. This happened to be on a Friday. Then, they misled me to believe that I would have to keep him there overnight (Friday night), when I stayed up worrying the entire night for my dog because they didn't staff their hospital at night. Now, because they wouldn't open their hospital on Sunday, they called me to take him to the VCA north Hospital for another day's stay. We loved VCA north -- fully staffed, overnight staffed, and we could stay with our pet over night if we wanted to. I am very dissatisfied with Brookville, because they had the option to send my dog to VCA right after the surgery and we would have taken that option in a heartbeat. I am never going there again because they created a sense of mistrust for me and I am not going to risk another dog's life to them again.

I have been going to Brookville Road Animal Hospital for nearly 15 years. I have read the other reviews about Dr. Canada and I will say that he has not been my doctor but I have had the occasion to see him and I agree that he does not have the compassion or tenderness with animals as the other doctors. That is in no way means he is abusive or treats the animals in a manner that it is hurtful. In the last year he has sold part of his practice to one of the other doctors which is why they have expanded and renovated the gilding and upgraded lots of features and Dr. Canada doesn't see as many patients as he used to. I personally see Dr Grigger or Dr. Dryden. They have always taken their time and listened to me. They let me participate in the decisions about my pets care and never force me to do any kind of treatment I don't want or can't afford. They always come in and immediately love on my animals as if they were their own which to me is a tell-tell sign of how my pet is going to be treated while in their care. I have been given multiple-pet discounts and these doctors don't make me just come in for unnecessary things now that they have email. I have also researched pricing information across Indianapolis and found them to be the cheapest vet for most if not all routine care like X-rays etc. this doesn't include places like FACE or other discount service providers for just shots or spay/neuter clinics. So I would highly recommend them. And as always if you are unhappy about something speak up. These pets are like your children and if you think someone was mishandling your child at an appoint,Ent you would say something so do the same for your fur-baby as they don't have a voice; that's our responsibility. And if all else fails choose another clinic. Good luck and best wishes. But give Brookville Road a try. I think they are worth it!!

I see the receptionist and then I see Dr Canada. They don't send a nurse in to see me and then make me wait for 30 minutes before I see the doctor, like other awful places I've been to. The doctor politely and patiently answers all my questions and diagnoses my dog. I can't say enough good things and I am SO happy to have found a vet that I know we will be with for a very long time!
