Excellent care and quality service.
Southside is rude, and if they don't know you personally then it's a struggle to have your pet seen.
Amazing staff very caring
Knowledgeable, inexpensive & great staff
Life saving visit for one extremely sick puppy! Thank you to the veterinary staff.
Very polite and quick saved my dogs life but the only thing I would change is their prices staff very polite made sure all questions were answered and understood before leaving
The staff is nice and it's a very clean building, but their veterinarians need to step up. I called on a Sat because my cat was very sick and there was no vet on staff and this was at 2pm. The girl who answered the phone didn't seem to care that the only place I could go to was all the way in Indianapolis according to her and the earliest I could get my cat in their clinic was on Tuesday. The local vets need to step up and come up with a plan for when there is a sick animal on a weekend where local people can go for help.
They were nice, but I was there for 2 1/2 hrs instead of what should've been 30 minutes tops. When the vet came into the room she didn't introduce herself or ask for my dog's name.
Dr. Bob is amazing.
My cat, Baby, gets hurt frequently. He is a fighter. The vets at Arlington Heights always treat him tenderly & get him all healed up quickly. I'm thankful they are close to our house & have walk-in times after work. Baby doesn't mind getting in his carrier to go see the doctors @ Arlington Hts. Our 2 other cats have had care there as well.
Doctor Bob has been there for many year. Nice staff
You will not find more loving animal people at any vet in town. My partner and I have been to see Dr. Bob and Ken Miller many times with our dogs. We have two Maltese and there health is very important to us. The doctors are knowledgeable, warm, passionate, and absolutely love the animals. The staff is very friendly, they are “animal people”, we will continue to visit any time we are in need of some animal love and attention!
Nice place
Wonderful, compassionate group of people. Great hours and good service.
Fantastic. The vet addressed both me and my dog. I had two visits in two weeks and was in and out both times in nearly no time at all. The prices were low and the care was top notch. Highly recommended.
We have been patients with all of our animals since we moved here 13 years ago. Last night, my son was playing with a small bouncy ball and our dog grabbed it. The ball got lodged in her throat and she was struggling to breathe. I called Arlington to bring her in for help because the situation was very serious, only to be told, that because we haven't been there in a few years, we were no longer patients and she could not be seen. Apparently this is their "policy" as I was told several times while pleading for help. They directed me to the emergency clinic in Indianapolis, over an hour away with a blocked esophagus. It was clear she was not going to survive the trip. I was completely shocked and could not believe they would not see her. It is not as if we had never been a patient or that I was not going to pay for any treatment. I am utterly disgusted with their lack of compassion. They should be ashamed of themselves; they are a Veterinary Hospital with no compassion and ruled by the almighty dollar. They have lost a customer and now have a mission to expose their ruthless behavior.
These Dr have big hearts on Arlington Road. They have gone out in the middle of the night when there was a fire at Delia's to rescue their animals. They have given me so much needed support when I've had to make decisions to have a love one put down. Afterwards when I went to the mailbox got such a comforting card. It's good to know I can reach out to them day or night.
Paris is My little Maltese she was hit by a truck one sunday morning. They took care of paris Mediately After the accident Had no use for back legs We kept her steal for 3 weeks Im here to tell you she is up walk walking a round.Paris and i had alot of Prayers I wanna thank the professional staff up there and the Great doctors One doctor And particularly.Thank you so much.Lots of Love from paris and I.Chuck Gardner
I have taken all of my pets to this practice since 1974. Time and again they have shown me that they care for my animals as much as I do. Their response in an emergency is phenomenal and they literally saved my pug's life. Can you get cheaper vet care elsewhere? Maybe...... but every time we have wanted to adopt an animal from a rescue it was good to have veterinarians who knew what kind of owners we are and I know their vet references for us have made the difference. This is one practice that is multigenerational and I for that I am grateful!
Great services. Personnel are nice. Usually a significant wait though.
Very pleasant and helpful
Caring people that work hard to keep our pets healthy!
We have had 4 pets that we always take to Arlington. Great staff and our pets don't complain.
Dr Dale, the youngest of the Drs Miller, is the only 24 hour emergency vet in town. He is careful, conscientious, and is available when your pets need him. He has performed surgery on one of our dogs after finding a mass and performed the necessary testing late at night to help ease our minds when our other dog appeared to be bloated (which can be deadly in dogs). I recommend the doctors and staff at Arlington Heights Vet Hospital and in particular Dr Dale and Dan, a friendly and caring vet tech.
All of the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and I have always felt like they care about my animals the same as I do. Since they have been temporarily closed it's been hard to get the animals to the South side location and I am anxiously waiting for the Arlington location to reopen. I've never even considered an alternative veterinary hospital and recommend Arlington heights to any friends / family with furbabies.
Where are the animals? All I see are shadows. Good Breakfast
Tonight, Arlington may have saved my dog's life. We believe she may have been exposed to pesticides; whatever it was made her incapable of standing /walking correctly and she would not stop bobbing and wavering. Expecting to need to make a mad dash to Indianapolis to have her seen, I called my local vet, hoping there may be an answering machine with some direction as to where to go in case of an emergency. To my total amazement, a human being answered the phone. The doctor called me back immediately and met me at the clinic within 15 minutes, although it was after hours. He treated her with a few fairly non invasive methods, and when it was all said and done, I was totally shocked to find that the bill was not only reasonable, it was affordable - I hardly stretched my bank account. I am so extremely thankful to have this resource in our community.
They saw my ailing elderly dog on a Saturday, even when they had never seen her before. They were concerned, very caring, and sent a sympathy card to me because she had to be put to sleep. They were wonderful through the whole sad process. The vet or tech who administered the euthanasia meds sang a lovely, comforting song in Spanish while my "Camille" peacefully went to sleep for the final time.
Dr. Dale and Dr. Ken are great but please whatever you do not take your pet to see Dr. Bob!! My cat suddenly went blind and Dr. Bob walked in, looked him over for less than 2 minutes and told me had an upper respiratory infection and that he would be fine in a couple of weeks. I literally had to stop him from leaving the room about him being blind, his response was he must have been hit by a car, he will be fine in two weeks. I was charged around $160 for that. I immediately rushed him to another vet that spent over two hours testing his blood, running scans, testing his blood pressure, etc. It turned out he had a brain tumor, he passed away a month later. The few times I saw him before that he barely spent any time on my pet, wanted in and out and that was it. Very, very disappointed in the complete lack of care and time, he needs to retire. A close friend of mine lost their dog due to his complete neglect of checking a lump on the dogs leg and kept telling them it was nothing so they let it go, the dog kept getting sick so they went back to Bob and again were told it was nothing. They tried another vet who tested it and found it was cancer!! The leg had to be amputated. Unfortunately a couple months after that they found the cancer had spread. If it had been properly diagnosed when they first took their dog in, she could have been saved. That is just pure laziness and lack of caring. Have not been back since and won’t.
They are great with both of our dogs, one of them is very skittish of people. The staff is friendly and very helpful, they made several suggestions the were free and low cost home solutions. Having an emergency vet close by is also a great comfort should anything unforeseen happen.
Pricey, but a very good staff who genuinely cares about the livelihood of our furry family members. Worth every penny.
Nice place and clean
$$$$$ hope you have it
They saved my pets. One was improperly treated at Town and country.Arlington has a helpful friendly staff. THEY LOVE ANIMALS and they take their time relating to the pet owner. Dr Miller and his staff are great , they care.
I am so grateful and thankful for all the staff at Arlington...It is such a relief to know they are "THERE" when we ever we need them...
Took our rescued 9-week-old kitten to Arlington South for her first round of shots. Beautiful hospital and lovely staff - Dr. Jen is fabulous! So knowledgeable and answered all our tedious questions, especially when it came to our kitten's diet. Can't wait to go back!
I have been taking our pet to the South side that just opened. While I am sure all of Arlington Hgts Veterinary Hospital is fine, I cannot say enough for the South side. The staff is always nice, always helpful and very knowledgeable. The same is true of Dr. Jenn. Your pet is their pet! Just a great place to take your pet for care.
This has been our vet office since 1974. The service is awesome. For our pets, since we are clients, they have emergency services, which we have used a few times over the years.
Bob and Dale has always taken care of any animal my mother Joy, my girlfriend Kymberly, and I have brought in. Jessica and Dale also was there all night immediatly for an emergency when our beagle Babygirl was in critical care. They've always had amazing relationships with us and the three of us could not say better things about this vet! We have had many many rescues taken care of by you guys! We appreciate you more than you know! Thank you and God Bless!!!! See you soon! - Michael, Joy Emmons, Kymberly Arthur
Good service
Simply the best doctors we have ever used. They care about the animals and the people. Their prices are also very reasonable. Their walk-in hours are fantastically convenient.
Where id go they care
The service here and the staff are always the best. I will recommend Arlington to everyone fair prices and excellent service.
A very professional staff. Animals are handled with great care and expertise.
Been here twice, the first time after 2 hours i left and couldnt wait for medicine for ears, not only that diagnosed with no worms to only see a worm crawling out of my dogs butt a few days later. I hoped this was a fluke, so thought i would try again. Show up with only 1 person infront of me to watch the staff walk around and do nothing while i waited for over an hour again before ever being seen and put into a room to wait again. My time is important like everyone elses. No sense of urgency or care for anyones time. This is so frustrating to have no sense of caring not once but both times i have come here. Guess its time for a new vet. These people make you wait, rush the visit just to make the next person wait.
Awesome Doctors ! They are compassionate ,kind .Great place to care for your babies !
Ok
Short story: we are looking for another vet now. Long story: we have been taking our cat here for a few years. And each year our cat vet visits have been fine. The techs are very friendly and answer our questions. And the other plus is that their prices are reasonable and they have walk-ins. However, we recently got a puppy and took her in for a puppy wellness checkup. Yet, when we met with the vet, it seemed like she was rushing us out the door. She told us that we needed some deworming medication and left to go get it. When she brought it back, we asked if the worms or the medication would affect our cat. She proceeded to tell us no but if we had small children, that was a different story. It almost felt like she wasn't going to say anything about small children if we hadn't asked (side note: we don't have small children, but it seemed negligent of her). Then, she said bye and left the room before we could ask anymore questions. So, when we went to check out, I asked the techs about flea, tick, and heart worm protection. I will admit that I'm not a veterinarian or a vet tech, but I feel as though this is sort of vet 101. Why did we have to be the one to ask about this?! Especially since we have a cat, if our dog contracts heart worms, our cat cannot be treated for the disease if it is transmitted to him. Like I said, the techs are very helpful but the majority of the vet fees are for your vet. Needless to say, we are going to start going to another vet even though we may have to pay a little bit more.
Too expensive
My dog has been seeing Dr. Alanna Blake for a variety of issues, and she is one of the best vets we have had -- definitely the best we have tried in the Bloomington area. Dr. Blake is enthusiastic, compasionate, and will tailor your pet's healthcare plan to fit your lifestyle, budget, and personal preferences. She always listens to my (many) questions with patience and gives thought-out and detailed answers. As a client, you have access to their 24 hour emergency call service. This is not something all vets in the area do, and in an area infested with venomous snakes and other wildlife this is an invaluable service. The facilities are decent, but I have only seen the front waiting area. The front office staff are hit-and-miss, as I have seen in many other vet clinics. Sky (sp?) is particularly good, with a great attitude and ability to explain different aspects of your pet's healthcare.
Wonderful experience. I have a black lab, Bear, and he is just a rowdy 2 year old lab. I walked in on a Saturday to get a check up and ear treatment for an infection we have been battling at another vet clinic. The wait was long, but when I asked if I could sign in and come back at the approximate wait time, they were more than happy to provide. I ran a few errands, returned, waited 30 mins, was seen quickly once in the room. Dr. Dale was kind, loving, and quickly befriended my dog. The vet tech came in, and gave my dog the first round of treatment for his ear, then went on to explain the remainer of the treatment. I payed at a check-out station in the hall, which was nice so my dog wasn’t pulling in the leash and trying to visit everyone. Then exited at the side door. Again, nice to avoid getting my dog excited going through the waiting room. The front desk girls were sweet and kind. Everyone I encountered showed love toward animals and were very kind to me. Be prepared for a wait, or work out an arrangement like I did. They are well worth every minute.
Clean,well mannered staff
Everyone at Arlington Heights Veterinary Hospital goes out of their way to make the animals and people feel comfortable and confident in the care they are receiving. The Drs. all take their time, listen to you and answer any questions. I have had occasion to use the after hours emergency service. The reason I chose this hospital is because they are the only ones in town to offer this service. The new location on the southside of Bloomington is very close for me and the hospital there is brand new and state of the art! Bloomington is so lucky to have 2 locations for this wonderful group of people and the services they offer. One of my dogs, Phoenix, a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier loves to go to the vets!
Has two locations, an emergency line for after-hours emergencies and has appointments available often. Vets have been good to my cats. Prices are reasonable.
While my brother was visiting from out of town, his 10 year old dog suddenly got very ill. He had white gums and extremely lethargic. It was a Saturday and towards the end of the open hours for the clinic. We rushed him over there and was met by a caring staff and incredible vet. Dr. Dale Miller was outstanding. He gave us the different options with potential outcomes, and did everything in his power to make my brothers decision easier. He took his time with us as the hard end of life decision was made and made the process as peaceful and comfortable as possible for pet and people. We are so lucky to have found his clinic in this difficult situation.
Caring, but expensive
Over priced and rushed care.
very nice people who love animals. Can be very busy though so I would suggest calling ahead!
I really, really appreciated the emergency car they gave my cat. The vet and nurses were so professional and sympathetic. They really went the extra mile here and I would highly recommend!
Very compassionate group . thank you for everything!
Wonderful staff but desperately need to reopen the north site too crowded
I've been going to Arlington Heights for years. And every time my dog has an issue, they know within seconds what the issue is and what meds to use to solve it. They always give me exactly the right amount of meds to cure the problem in exactly the amount of time that they tell me it will take to cure the problem. They're GREAT!
Very short wait, excellent, gentle care given to pet.
Great service for over 20 years
Excellent care!!! The doctors and staff are amazing! During a recent emergency with our fur babies we were seen right a way once we arrived she was throughly examined and then the vet provided the diagnosis and gave us clear options and supported our decisions with every complicated turn. Though we lost our fight against cancer in the end-I am so grateful for Dr.G, Dr. Dale and Laney for your ongoing compassion and dedication to Honey's care. We cannot thank you enough.
We have always had a great experience at Arlington. The wait has never been long, and everyone is so friendly. We've even needed the emergency services at 10PM, and a vet came very quickly. He was very friendly, and didn't mind at all that he was called out. We don't plan on taking our dog anywhere else!
A long wait...like most vets .
Don't like this place! I called twice before I go to their vet to check the prince for International Health Certificate for my dog. They told me three times that it's $25 dollars for the certificate. However, when I went there, they changed their price to $154. I think their service is really unprofessional and kind of a lie to me. I will never go to this place anymore!!!
This clinic preformed unnecessary surgery on our 3 yr guinea pig, charged us $375 (without even a phone call), and our pet died 3 days later. I am so outraged!!!! I feel that when the doctor knew what the pig needed, that he would have called me and discussed the procedure, along with the price. They did not! Instead, they put him through an extensive surgery that he did not recover from. It broke our hearts! When I discussed this with the office manager, he refused to discount the bill. Apparently, they think it is ok to preform these types of procedures without consent! I will never go back!
Dr Bob has been our vet for years. He is very knowledgeable and truly loves animals, which shows in the way he treats them. He gave one of our dogs a shot and the dog didn't even know.
Very good vets here...
Great people taking care of our 4legged friends
I have been going here for over 30 years. This is the best clinic in the area and the three Vets, Dr. Bob, Dr. Dale and Dr. Ken are very good with my working dogs. They stay up on the latest medical trends and training and pay close attention to the animals they work on. All of my dogs actually like going to the vet. :-)
Took my cat to them and paid 220 only to bring my cat home to die. No one ever called me I had to call everyday to see how he was doing. Never got correct information or they weren't sure. The vet was really compassionate when he said he could put my cat down if I couldn't spend whatever the amount was needed. I never even feel like I receive any information other than a blockage. Will not take my other pet there.
We saw Dr Dale for the first emergency appt. He was wonderful in dealing with our elderly dog with congestive heart failure. He kept her overnight on oxygen and put her on several meds. She perked up and we had a few good weeks with her. Eventually, despite the great care, her heart could no longer pump adequately. We returned to the clinic and had her put down. We didn't want her to suffer, and her heart became weak enough that she had episodes where the oxygen couldn't pump to the brain...and caused her pain. The female vet we saw second was also so very sweet. She gave our dog a shot to relax her, and it worked so well. There was no suffering. I cried my eyes out but it was truly a beautiful experience....we loved our dog so much, and her passing could not have been more peaceful. They gave us precious moments with our dog to say good bye. We requested she be cremated and even that process was so nice and professional. I highly recommend this vet for your pet's care.
I am not necessarily a regular client at Arlington Heights, but my husband and I have always stayed established there because of their wonderful emergency care. On October 2nd of this year, which was of course a Sunday when all emergencies seem to happen, we encountered a serious issue with our eight year old Pit Mix. She was actually seen Friday by my routine vet, and she was great. The vet even commended her on how good she looked for her age. Saturday however, we woke up to find her not acting right at all. She wouldn't barely move, wouldn't eat, and was barely drinking any water. We monitored her throughout the day and on Sunday afternoon decided that we couldn't wait. We called the emergency number and were called back within fifteen minutes. We brought her up to see a new vet there (he was wonderful, but I unfortunately can't remember his name), and having some background with animals, I already knew it was probably not going to be a good prognosis. Anyway, they wanted to keep her overnight on IV fluids and antibiotics. I felt extremely comfortable leaving her there even though it is always hard to leave your pet when they aren't doing well. The next day Dr. Dale did x-rays and an ultrasound for us. He found a fairly large tumor attached to her spleen. After doing some of my own research prior to coming in that evening, I knew the decision wasn't going to be easy, but we would probably have to euthanize. After talking to Dr. Dale we felt comfortable (or as comfortable as you can feel making that decision) to go ahead and put her down. Surgery would have been extremely risky, and the outcome was probably not going to give her any quality of life. My husband and I were absolutely a mess while in the clinic, but the staff was so understanding. It was well after closing time before we left, but they in now way rushed us out. We absolutely can't thank them enough for everything they did to help our baby. Our bill was definitely "cringe" worthy, but I knew with everything we did with her (emergency visit Sunday, IV fluids, antibiotics, overnight stay, x-rays, ultrasound, and euthanizing) we would have payed far more at any clinic in the Indianapolis area. Dr. Dale was amazing and so was the staff. And again we can't thank you enough for being so understanding.
Very friendly staff!!
I had the best possible experience here! The staff was extremely nice, and Doctor G. saved our dog after she was bitten by a snake on a hike! I am so thankful for her, and the entire Arlington Heights team. I would recommend them without a doubt.
I thank God for the team there they help save my Chino's life
Great service.
