Dr. Brookshaw is very nice. She suggested a lot of testing, however she also understood that we could not afford it and did not push it on us or try to make us feel bad about not doing it. blood work very pricey. I am currently saving up money to try to get my cat's blood work done in the future. Staff kind and compassionate and friendly to my cat. He was diagnosed with an abscess and was given an antibiotic injection and we're hoping that this takes care of the problem and that it's not fungal. Time will tell.

I’ve been going to Arbor View for years now. My rabbit, cat, and dog are all patients there and I couldn’t even imagine bringing them anywhere else. Dr. Byerly has been such a wonderful veterinarian and has gone above and beyond to see to the care of my rabbit who has had many health issues over the years. She has personally called to check in on my sweet rabbit’s health when he was especially unwell recently. The vets and vet assistants at Arbor View have been there for my animals and I through the worst of things and I know 100% that I can always count on them for the best care.

I recently switched vets because this was not a match. They will treat you like a cash cow if you let them. I don't feel like giving the long version of my experience because there's seriously too much to tell, so to get to the point they will take advantage of your love for animals. I'm pretty sure most vets are in the business to make money but to schedule my puppy 3 weeks in a row for 3 seperate office visit fees is ridiculous. Also to threaten me that if I don't buy pet insurance for my lab puppy soon and they diagnose her with allergies she will now have a pre-existing condition, and then guess what...... She won't be covered. Gasp. Are you serious? It's partly my fault for not setting the proper tone. The next vet I will make sure they know that it is not milking time.

This organization has lack of respect for the balance of nature and wildlife. As reported in local media, a Hobart police officer found an injured bald eagle and called his wife who works at this clinic. His wife advised him to bring the wild animal in for treatment (human interference). This emotional and illogic response lacks respect for nature--wildlife is to be observed and not interfered with. For example, this action has now most likely resulted in a loss of a meal for a predator/ scavenger that would have consumed the eagle (wolf, coyotes, hawks etc).

The staff was very friendly. The vet knew just what to do with my anxious rabbit who does NOT like meeting new people. There was an emergency situation with another pet, so I had to wait a little bit to be seen. The vet and her assistant both apologized for the wait even though it didn't seem long at all. They scheduled a follow up visit to make sure the medicine is working. I've been places where staff didn't seem to care much, but this place was the opposite of that.

As a new resident in Indiana, I was worried I would have to try out a few vet practices before landing on one I LOVED. Luckily, my neighbor strongly recommended Arbor View, and I now know why. From booking the appt. to the follow up call after the appt., the entire staff was FRIENDLY, WELCOMING, and obviously loved what they do. Dr. Bell was awesome with our 9 mos old puppy.... stooping to her level on the floor to perform the exam, rather than putting her up on a cold steel table. She also let me know how we could call in and see a vet tech in the next 6 mos for minor issues without having to pay for another full exam. Wow! I am relieved we found Arbor View so quickly and highly recommend them.

I had a dog given to me from my sister and took her in to Arbor View. I was going to give her to a family with three little girls and so I wanted to make sure that she was up to date on her shots and in good health. They groomed her as well. The experience was worth every bit of the visit. They were very personable and friendly, but moreover extremely diligent. I gave the dog to the family and they could not have been happier. Since then, I have changed vets from the one our family has used for years to Arbor View. People always seem to talk about the high cost from one place to another and I can tell you they are all comparable. It was the staff that changed my mind. They have surpassed my expectations and continue to do so. Can't thank them enough.

DO NOT KEEP YOUR PETS OVER NIGHT HERE. My three dogs were left here for a total of 7 nights. Two of the dogs are a little over one years old and the third dog is about 5 years old. We picked all of them up and they all had hard old poop on their butts, which is very unlikely for the 5 year old dog. So clearly, they were not on a routine schedule, or were not taken outside enough. They acted like they did not see each other the entire time, even though we were told they were going to be put together. When we got home we noticed, the 5 year old dog's paw was red and bloody, with hair missing, like he was gnawing at and we were never notified about it. All of our dog's hair was crazy like they didn't even attempt to comb their hair. And they were completely alone with ZERO supervision over night, from at least 7:00PM to 7:00AM. Never will I ever, send my dogs to a place like this again. Hope someone finds this useful when looking to keep yours dogs here for a few days while you go on vacation.

My fiance and I are animal lovers. We went to an animal shelter and adopted 2 rabbits. One was acting strange so I started calling vets. After the 3rd one I talked to suggested Arbor view I decided to call them. I explained to them what was going on and they had me come in right away. They were very friendly and nice. Unfortunately the bunny was very sick. But the whole staff was kind and respectful. I've called a few times and asked questions on raising the other bunny. They always answer them and act as if I'm the only customer they have.

We brought our leopard gecko there this morning because he wasn't eating and getting skinny. They took him to the back to look him over. Brought him back half dead, if not dead for he hasn't moved. They were extremely rude. Lectured us on the temp of the cage etc. We told them that there is another gecko in the same cage who is plump and healthy. The rudeness was uncalled for. Will never go there again.

My puppy showed signs of being in distress and my veterinary clinic of 30+ years was too busy to see her so we reached out to Arbor View. They got her right in, gave her excellent treatment and they vet that treated her even came in on her morning off the next morning to follow up and determine if she needed surgery. I brought them a injured bunny thinking they rehabbed injured animals. I brought it in, they took it back and I asked if they needed anything from me, can I leave him there, are they able to help him because if not I can take him to another wildlife rehab center. Within in that short time frame the lady says “ oh the vet just euthanized him” and I said are you serious? He ate and pooped and peed for the past 2 days why would you just kill him, I could have taken him to a rehab center that would actually rehibilate him. She said well we can’t release him back to you without a permit. First of all, I’m not tying to keep it, just wanted to make sure he’s in the proper hands to be cared for so he can live out the rest of his life. Second of all, they didnt even ask if I had any permits before they put him down. I wrote this review on facebook 2 years ago (I have not forgotten because this haunts me) and I’m doing it now on here because people need to know how Inhumane this place is. You killed a wild bunny that could have just been transferred to a better proper facility to be cared for. A bunny who has eaten and pooped for 2 days prior to me bringing him to you. He had a spinal injury and back legs were paralyzed. Which if you google it’s actually VERY common and bunnies can live out their life like that! Shame on you dnr for reccomending them. And shame on you arbor view for calling your self a rehab facially. I’D NEVER IN MY LIFE TRUST YOU GUYS WITH A ANIMAL I LOVE!

Arbor View is great! The staff were very congenial and they were very thorough. I took one of my snakes in and they had me fill out a firm for reptiles with lots of detailed questions about how I cared for him and they also asked a lot of questions during the exam. I felt like they were dedicating the exam time I paid for to my snake personally and didn't feel rushed. They also befriended my snake and I felt that they genuinely cared about animals. The place was clean and professional. I would definitely recommend them!

Dr. Byerly is probably the best reptile vet in Northwest Indiana. Before I went to Arbor view the vets i went to were uncaring and unwilling to accept reptiles as patients. one vet clinic said the only thing they can do is "look at hera". Not exactly the reassurance you want to hear from a vet clinic. Dr. Byerly was very caring and knowledgeable about reptiles and is willing to reach out to her network to get answers.

Having just moved to this area I wasn't familiar with any vets. I've been incredibly happy with the care and attention given to my dogs. The staff are professional, friendly, informative and clearly have a love of animals that shows in every interaction I've had with them. They encourage you to bring your pets in for "visits" with staff so that your pet grows comfortable and isn't afraid. They dote on my dogs and give them so much attention and love when they are there. They explain every service, every visit, every procedure and every medication that they provide in a way that you fully understand and can make the right decisions for your pet. I highly recommend them for your vet needs.

I take both of my cats here and I'm very happy with the staff. One cat isn't very cooperative (she's scared) but the vets and techs are patient and kind and try their best to keep her calm. They also make sure you understand everything before you leave and are happy to answer any questions I have.

I've already recommended to friends. Vet tech very informative and Dr. was AWESOME! We feel extremely confident in taking our rabbits here. Since you need to be extremely careful with rabbits you can't just take them anywhere. All the Vets here are experienced in "exotic" animals! That was main reason for choosing to take our rabbits here. And prices are great. Only $7.50 to trim nails (for rabbits, not sure about other animals)! Everywhere else $20! While we were here, many families came in to pick up and drop off for boarding. That says a lots. Hope this helps

The staff here is truly amazing. I've had multiple visits with my dog over the last few months and I could not be happier with her care. Even more so, I would like to say how comfortable they made ME feel. I have had to take my one year old with to all of my dogs appointments as well. The techs always help with doors and maneuvering around since I have my hands full. They even brought out other animals for my daughter to see so she can have a good experience as well. I highly recommend Arbor View to anyone seeking kind professional care, they are the best!

We had a bad experience with a different Vet. After a lot of research we decided on visiting Arbor View Animal Hospital. We could not have been happier with our decision. We were greeted by a very friendly staff that showed the same friendliness to our pet bunny. Even the house cat greeted us. The Veterinary Assistant (Alyshia) could not have been better to deal with. She was able to handle our bunny and show true affection even though our bunny was not in a very good mood at the time of the visit :-) Then we met our Veterinarian (Dr Brookshaw) who was absolutely amazing. To greet our bunny she sat on the floor to be at her same level. She provided us with great new care ideas for our bunny without judging us for our current care techniques. Our girl is going to need a surgery and Dr Brookshaw was very detailed in her explanation of the process and addressed all of our questions and concerns. Finally, we have had to make some changes in the schedule for our surgery and boarding. The staff has been very helpful in working with us to make the changes and done everything to accommodate our schedule. This place is simply amazing and Isabella would like to thank you also!

First time at Arbor View. I have been working with exotic animals for over 30 years and Dr. Bell is without a doubt a great exotic vet with a high skill level in rodent dentistry. She did an incisor trim on my rodent "Winston" and I would highly recommend Dr Bell to do this type of procedure. The front desk staff was professional and knowledgeable and my overall experience was excellent!

this was the best experience that anyone could ever imagine. My wife and I usually groom my service dog together. I have some physical difficulties that prevent me from doing it myself and my wife was in the hospital. I stopped in to see if i could possibly get my girl into get bathed and trimmed as a walk-in, although I wasn't able to get her in at that moment they did set me up with an appointment to bring her back in like 2 hours. I dropped her off and in about an hour to an hour and a half, i stopped back to get her and she was perfect and so excited to see me. They took care of me and her. In a time of need they were truly my angels. Thanks to them for everything they did!!!!

Nice place, polite workers, but instead of them telling u what u honestly need to do for your pet they beat around the bush to see how much money they can get from you. I feel like a real vet or someone that should really care about animals would tell you upfront what needs to be done, just like a real doctor would, but not here, u will not get a straight forward answer. I can say nothing but good about this facility and the staff. It is obvious that they take a personal interest in my pets and always follow up with a phone call regarding various ailments and treatments. The have the latest equipment and follow the most recent guidelines in preventative care. Although I cannot speak for the other professionals, Dr. Carol Dartz, previous owner of the clinic and our "personal vet" is very caring and conscientious. I have no doubt the other vets are equally qualified and caring. I would be more than happy to verify my review with a personal phone call, as I have complete faith in this facility.

I moved here 10 years ago and I have been taking my dogs (5 in all over the 10-year period) to Arbor View since then. Check-ups, spay/neuter, vaccinations... it's all good. The veterinarians are competent, professional, and friendly and so is the staff. Oh, from time to time I board my dogs there too. I would recommend Arbor View to anyone.
