After being disappointed by the level of care from another vet in town it was so refreshing to have the vet come in and sit on the floor with my dog and ask questions for over an hour before even beginning to do the physical exam. The level of care and consideration for each of my pets and for me has been completely extraordinary. Week after week, month after month, and year after year I have been encouraged, strengthened, and consoled by the care of each individual I've ever encountered at Animal Hospital of Richmond.Thank you all! Dr. Senderak has been such a rock of strength for me and for all my animals. I have continued to bring all my pets here even though my round trip commute is more than two hours. I also go there about 1-2 times a month for animal food and prescriptions. I could never consider online ordering because all of you show me genuine respect, good humor, and consideration every time I go. I will not change my vet to a local one because I know Animal Hospital of Richmond, trust them and love them all! Hugs to vets, vet techs, back of practice employees, and front of practice employees. I'm form Florida visiting Richmond with my new puppie 3 months old he started havind diarrhea since friday, saturday I called early to see of they can see my dog explained all the concern they said they were book and only thing they can do is gave me an appt. for Monday. Please it was an emergency diarrhea and vomiting on my dog and you want me to wait until Monday . What I can tell is they dont care about animals health. Hope you never have an emergency with your dog while you are visiting a different state

So thankful for these guys. We're from out of town, visiting my sister who lives near here. Our old dog had been declining for quite a while and had visited our vet just a week ago and he thought she could hold on for longer--also parents wanted us to see her one more time before she went. Think that's all the strength she had left was to see us and quickly deteriorated. She had a stroke and we knew it was her time. We rushed to the nearest vet and they were rude and offered us no help because they weren't for emergencies. Didn't even try to tell us where to go. So the next place was here and I called and the nurse was so helpful with asking what we needed and what they could do, even though they weren't for emergencies, they opened a room for us despite their full schedule. The doctor was so amazing explaining everything and helping us through the process. It was such a sad but peaceful time thanks to these guys. I couldn't thank you enough.
