I had to take my little pug-a-piller ( pug) to them he was paralyzed from the waist down. We tried everything for him but the ending result was we have to put him down. I cried so hard. They was very passionate and gave us time to say good bye. A few weeks later I received a card from them signed by all of the staff with their condolences. I stood their in my room crying again. I have not met a more caring vet office then this one

Ask for the cost up front! We were quoted $63.00 for a neuter on a cat my daughter rescued. Repeatedly said no to extra blood work and any other extras...Final Bill $236.00. Lucky for them my husband picked him up.

Our furbabies have been visiting Alexandria Animal Hospital for a few years now. We have been to see their veterinarians for yearly check-ups/vaccinations, minor infections such as UTIs, and major diseases such as inflammatory bowel diseases. Dr. Chastain and the staff have always been extremely caring, dedicated, and supportive to our furbabies. Their extensive knowledge matches their love and dedication to their patients and families. When we had to say good-bye to our little, old dog, everyone was extremely supportive and respectful. The additional love and care they showed for us during such a difficult time was commendable. Our family will continue to support and recommend Alexandria Animal Hospital. Your furbaby will be in great hands with them.

The doctors and techs genuinely care about you and your pets. They are fairly priced. They are very honest with what needs to be done and what can be postponed. The office staff is super friendly and very helpful as well. You can’t go wrong with placing your pets well being in their ever capable hands.

My cat is sick and was wanting to get some help this morning. I went to your clinic and was waiting for it to open when I saw one of your staff. I wanted to ask if I was able to come and take my cat here (never having been here and walk-in) because it was close to home. I called to her asking if I could just ask her a quick question and she ignored me and kept walking. I called to her again several times could I just ask a quick question and was ignored. Very rude. I went somewhere else. If that's how staff treats people I'd had to think how animals are treated. Very disappointed. I'd post 0 stars if it'd let me. Update: Thank you Dr. Tammy for reaching out to me. I was at your office on 9 just south of Alexandria (Jul 23) around 7.55 waiting for you to open. I have no idea who it was but it was very upsetting. Thank you for your concern. I appreciate that a lot. I was able to take him down to the VCA Northwood Animal Hospital. I am still relatively new to the area and just needed help this morning. Please just have people understand that sometimes we owners are distraught and need some help. I am honestly not trying to cause problems for you. I just want you to be aware. Thank you.
