Quick and caring place. Made sure my pup was good to go.

mikayla williams

The doctor said my dog had a good prognosis and was going to be okay after the treatment, but she died an hour after we got home. They lied to us and just left us with a huge medical bill. Even the lady at the desk, where I paid for the bills, said my dog didn't look good after the treatment was done.

Mandy Fowler

We went with our dog knowing something was wrong but the doctor refused to listen to us. He said in his opinion not put her down because he thought she was fine. Again he refused to listen to us. We took her to our primary vet the next morning and had to put her down because she only got worse. Would definitely not recommended this place, they push you to spend the most money and are somewhat insensitive.

Jennifer Troxail

The staff were very friendly, thorough, and worked quickly to help my dog. Best of all, they did not prejudge him for being a pitbull. Reasonably priced.

Joshua Setty

Good place to take your animal if it has an after hour emergency.

Jennifer Shields

My husband and I took our baby Lucy in to be seen on a Sunday afternoon. Lucy wasn't feeling well after having a litter of puppies. As soon as we walked in were greeted with a smiling face. The staff got our Lucy girl back to a room as fast as we walked in. Dr. Jon Sheff was the veterinarian on call for that day. We could not have asked for a better Dr. He was so concern and showed so much compassion toward our baby. Lucy had devolped an infection and was running a fever. They did x-rays, and blood work. Dr. Sheff explained to us in details what was going on and the treatment that Lucy needed. We were in and out of there within an hour. Half way home as my Lucy girl was sitting in my lap she gave me a kiss. I knew then she was feeling better. Dr Jon Sheff you are so awesome, we thank you and your staff for making our Lucy girl feel better.

A little rough with the animals and expensive. But clean and knowledgeable

Danny Eller

Dr sheff and dr Gus’s are very good ! Wish they was are regular vet . Taken are animals there many times and gotten great care ! Our bulldog (fatboy) cocker spaniel. Snuggles and r boxer and cats !

Terrance Lawrence

Expensive, naturally, but the place is clean and the vets are friendly. The best place to go when you have no where else to go and your furry friend needs help!

Amber Nicole

It was a sad day for us but the peopke were great.

Richelle Hoffman

Fast, friendly, caring, and thorough. This is the best place to go if your veterinarian's office is closed.

Ashlee Wetzel

We took our Boxer pup there for the night. He was stable but had to have an IV drip and stay the night. They told us we had to pay 500 upfront and 2000 when we picked him up, or we had to have him put down. I went back to see him, and They had put him in a cage on the floor with his head hanging out. they detached his IV and threw it on the floor. They were doing nothing for him and he ended up passing away. This was the most horrifying experience i have ever had at a vet. Please do NOT EVER take an animal here!!! They care nothing about animals! They only care about money!

Susan Parsetich

If you have to make an emergency trip to the vet .....This is the place to go! Dr and staff was great. Pruce reasonable for the service. Had to get stiches in puppy's mouth from plating fetch with a stick that she rammed into her mouth. In and out in 1.5 hrs

Michelle Wert

Staff and Dr Gust very kind. Very clean facility. Took great care of my dog. Thank you!

David Cook

In the unfortunate instances when we have had to visit this clinic, they have always been quite friendly, helpful, and compassionate. They truly care about their clients, both human and non-human. I highly recommend this clinic if the need arises to take your pet for care in an emergency.

Amy Cheney

They got us right in and did a wonderful job even on a sunday.

Kimberly Koll

Dr. Sheff helped my cat feel better, and was awesome. We didn't have to wait, and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful--- and acknowledged us immediately upon arrival. Dr. Sheff explained what was wrong in a way I could understand, and seemed to actually care for my cat's wellbeing and health. I would return in a heartbeat after hours. The prices weren't that expensive, and were fair.

Tess O'

Dr. Sheff did an amazing job stitching my dog back together.

Korin M

The vet seemed knowledgeable enough, but everything else left a lot to be desired. If it's an emergency situation where you are low on funds, don't go here! They will not allow friends to call in and donate over the phone to help out. They will tell you they can't do anything without money up front, but then when you show up ready to pay, they'll go ahead and run tests and refuse to run your card until afterwards when they can go ahead and bill you for what they just did. The vet and the techs don't seem to communicate well either, different aftercare instructions from both of them!

Josh McClain

Knowledgeable. A little pricy, but expected that being after hours - emergency.

Finn Fiercehowler

The staff is amazing. They were so caring when we had to put down our dog, Cinder. We have also taken in our dog Blue twice for stomach surgery. May my trust always be with you.

Paul Jones

Our blue heeler loves to injure himself, so we've taken quite a few trips to this particular emergency vet. They always take good care of the old doggo.

Janet Bostian

Very caring staff. They give you the information to make decisions about your pets.

Duncan Smith

They got us in within minutes and saw our dog soon after. The care and love they showed to our injured pet was priceless. You may pay a bit more than a regular vet but it was worth it for us on a Saturday. The vet we saw was knowledgeable and nice. He gave us a diagnosis and the care we needed. We were in and out, but not rushed, in no time. On the mend. Highly recommend them!

Kaelynn Cox

Only giving one star because I have to. I took my cat to Dr. Grey, after he had been struggling with an upper respitory infection and congestion, and all other vets were closed. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. Not only did Dr. Grey not listen to my concerns, her immediate treatment was blood work, as seems to be a pattern from reading the other reviews. She told me that my cat probably has kidney failure and if I wait one more day he wouldn’t make it through the night. After asking for an antibiotic for his congestion, she simply made me feel like a terrible person for wanting to “bandaid” his condition. Then, Tiffany (vet tech?) came in and made the situation worse. I asked the Dr. to give my cat fluids, and an antibiotic. After doing so, Tiffany came in and proceeded to tell me all the things that were wrong with my cat: grabbing his ear and pointing out discoloration, gums, etc. Also, when explaining medication she made me feel like I was a 2 year old when I asked which medication treated what ailment. Worse experience I’ve ever had with a vet/emergency care facility. PLEASE TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO NOAH’S ARK VET HOSPITAL. I have taken my cat there before, and they were super great, he was treated within days. The only reason I did not this time was because of the proximity of Airport Vet to my new home. PLEASE, do not take your animal here.

judy thorne

So kind and understand....

Jenne B

I have used airport several times over the years. I am always a mess when I arrive, because you don't go to an emergency vet for the fun and happy stuff. However they are professional and provide great care. They are understanding and and didn't rush me. Will use again for after hours veterinary needs.

Marjorie Besse

Love, love, love these sweet angels! Over the years, they have held my hand and patiently guided me through pet parenting from the time I adopted my first kitty, nine years ago, and they are still happily answering my questions and concerns 2 more cats and 2 dogs later!

Barbara Stolz

I came home Saturday night around 7:30pm and found my dog passed out with foam around his mouth. I made several calls and then rushed him to Airport Animal Emergency Center. They had me carry Rudy into check in room. Then, filled out forms while they took him to be examined. They came back and said they thought his stomach was twisted. Asked if they could do x-ray. I said yes. Doctor was very nice, came back and said his temperature was steadily dropping and that he only had 5-10 minutes to live. He said they could do exploratory surgery or euthenize him. I told them I wanted to take him home and tried to give them my credit card so I could leave. A young man brought back a form for me to sign stating I didn't want the services they were recommending. I told him I wanted my dog Now. His attitude was very flippant and he would get me my dog when it was convenient for him. He left and I stuck my head into the exam room and told them again I wanted my dog Now as time was critical. They brought him to me and we rushed out to the car to take him home so he could die in peace surrounded by our love. As we were leaving, the younger guy starts chasing my car into the street. I sped up and rushed Rudy home. On the way, I called the front desk and paid for my services. Making sure for her to tell everyone I had Paid. Everyone Except the clipboard guy was polite and friendly. I think if my dog had passed away there, they would have charged me extra fees. I think they were trying to wait me out.... My dog passed 40 minutes later and he was cremated on Sunday. I am glad he was able to come home to rest. PS. I thought the fees for the visit and x-ray were reasonable.

KC Knebel

They care and try to be through

Shelly Arthur

Very caring and very little wait time. Cost was very reasonable as well.

Heather V

Very helpful and understanding of our situation. Rescued kitten was fine day 1 and then became shaky day 2 and paralyzed for over a week. I kept feeding the kitten via syringe and doing physical therapy for her. It's been a couple weeks now and she is still shaky, but is running and playing!

bram ashland

Friendly staff, short wait time. Extremely kind Dr and support staff, which kept our puppy calm and at ease. No long waits even during holiday weekend. Hope to not have to bring our puppy to the ER again, but if we do it will definitely be here! Thank you!

Brenda Haybarker

Had an emergency on a Saturday evening. The best help and excellent place to go. Our beagle is as good as new! Thank you to all who helped us.

Carla Rogers

Thank you for taking such great care of our Sassy!

Darren Carter

Nice caring people

Macen Wilson

This place is not worth it. Its a major rip off and they do not help and charge to much for their services. When another dog attacked my dog and bit her neck. All they did was have the vet come out and look at her. He looked at her for less than five minutes. After that they took her in the back and wrapped up her neck. They charged us 100 to wrap up her neck which the next day we discovered that they had wrapped a diaper up with tape to her neck with still open bite holes in her neck.

Leah Pyle

Vet was clear, direct, honest, and compassionate. Had injections and xrays, may be back tomorrow for surgery.

Alicia Perdue

They were very professional. They were very efficient and affordable and provided excellent care for my pet. If another pet emergency arises, they will be my first choice for care.

Angie Cottongim

They were great with my pitsky. Happy with service. Will use again. My Myah sitting.

Tommy Perkins

We love this place

Dana Phelps

Very kind staff.

Nikki Lujan

Great emergency care given to 2 of my dogs, on two separate occasions. Doctors make sure that you understand exactly what's going on. Hope to not have to have any emergencies again, but if I do, I know where to go.

Liza Sibery-romansky

They are polite and focused on your pet's reason for being there.

Michele Carter

We took our 7 yr old dachshund when she lost the use of her back legs on a Sunday evening & they not only treated her immediately but because of their quick action & medical attention she completely recovery from a herniated disc without surgery. Then almost a year later our 6 yr old dachshund started dragging his back leg, we rushed back to them & again he has fully recovered with there help! Amazing vets & staff, very friendly & knowledgeable.

John Dildine

I had to take my violently I'll Corgi in on a Sunday morning. I called before hand to make sure I was not overreacting. The staff neither recommended for or against, they simply listed what was appropriate for emergency care versus a standard visit. I was immediately impressed by their professionalism and integrity. Within moments of arrival I was greeted, checked in, and taken to an exam room. The DVM on staff was excellent, both polite and informative. I could hear that one of the other clients had a pet that was critically ill, yet I never felt neglected. In the event of an emergency I would absolutely go back.

Patrice Tucker

Staff is wonderful over there and they try to do as much as they can to try to save your dog but they are way too expensive way too expensive

One Chance wizard

Great efficient service

Wendy Duncan

Even though we received aweful news this night, the staff was exceptional. Professional and courteous and sincere while explaining that our cat (he's 3 years old) is FeLV+. Not at all what I wanted to hear but they stabilized his fever, gave him fluids, andvsid it all in a timely fashion that didn't require an overnight stay.. Thank you for your kindness and your love of animals!

Veronica Sanner

These folks are my superheroes. Fantastic care for your fur babies.

Loretta Fleming

They did a phenomenal job patching up our fur baby!! She is all better now, but had a brawl with her sister, and it got a little out of hand.

Catherine Warholak

Fast, friendly and they took great care of our dog when we had an emergency. The rates were not exorbitant considering the time of night, either.

Aj Rea

This place saved me and made a very worrisome injury to my dog better right away. Thank heavens they are there!

Shawnda Meek

Great people work here

Jennifer Riddle

My dog was injured on a Saturday evening (needed stitches). All vets we called told us it would be a minimum of $1000 because it was an "emergency." I drove an hour and a half to Airport Animal Emerging-center because when I called them they said they could not quote me a price over the phone without seeing him. I thought that was a good sign. Some friends had also taken their dog to this vet for an emergency and was not charged an astronomical fee. The office was very clean, maybe one of the cleanest vets I have been to and staff extremely friendly. We did have a wait but they were really busy. I expected to have a wait at an emergency clinic anyway, just like an emergency room. Plus, our issue was not life-threatening. My dog received excellent care and I thought their fee was reasonable - in fact I was pleasantly surprised with my bill. My local vet would have probably charged me just as much or more during normal office hours. I highly recommend this place.

Abigail Joyner

My dumbass roommate brought lillies into our home recently and my cat got into them, so we made a trip to this hospital. The woman over the phone was able to quote me a fair price for the visit, and while noone likes to think about money when your pet's on the line, if you're poor you know how difficult this can be. I was in hysterics the entire time but the staff was very kind and helped quickly get Sam diagnosed/into bloodwork as soon as I walked in the door. Dr. Murphy was very kind and to the point about which tests to run and how much it would end up costing re: treatment. I'm not even sure where these rudeass reviews are coming from because the entire staff was professional and compassionate the entire visit. Sam's doing well and back to her usual self so I'm eternally grateful for this clinic. Would absolutely come back if need be god forbid.

Tammy Ellaree

When u have an emergency for a fur baby this animal hospital is the place to go. I have 6 cats all ranging in age from 3yrs to 15yrs old. My 7yr old Chartreux male suddenly couldn't urinate or poop and he became very lethargic and demonstrated a lot of pain. There is a male urination problem that can cause death within hours. So at midnight I'm scrambling with what to do because I'm low income and most my cats are feral rescue cats. Meaning Face/Spay Nuetor is their veterinarian clinic. They have no emergency system set up for those poor babies. I call around from Google searches here in Indy needing a no money now option & found this clinic. They take an insurance policy called Scratch that will loan u the amount you need for animal emergency services. Scratch doesn't go by credit they go by income. And not all emergency animal hospitals take it. (Thank heaven) I was approved right away & my cat was 100% taken care of, even an eye problem he had not of any connection to the urination issue, the vet decided why we were there to be dealt with too. The place is clean, the staff very gentle & comforting, the vet herself was informing & thorough, and they are open all night. We were there for a couple hours but it was worth it. Prescriptions available on hand.

Melanie Fernandez

I've heard horrible things about this place so I dreaded having to take my cat here. She collapsed in the early morning hours friday and with hours before the vet office opened I had to take her there. God bless Tammy, the woman who helped us. She was so compassionate and made our sweet kitty Bailey comfortable and talked us through everything she was doing to prep her. She gave us time to say our goodbyes and we never felt rushed. Bailey passed away peacefully while we pet her and thanked her for the years of happiness she brought us. Thank you for making what was such a hard decision easier for us.

Kim Webster

The Vet was kind, gentle and thorough with the examination and treatment.

Daila Hargitt

My Pomeranian ate an entire bag of Hershey kisses and had a racing heart, she couldn’t walk, she was puking everywhere, and whimpering. Considering it was a Sunday, no vets were opening. We called this emergency vet and they pretty much just told us we were SOL and that they wouldn’t help us because we haven’t visited a vet in Bloomington before. They told us to go to Indy, which was impossible for us at the time. They were going to just let our dog die because we didn’t have some kind of membership with another vet. Luckily we knew someone in town who was willing to help. Otherwise my dog would be dead and they couldn’t care less.

Adele Carpenter

Had to bring in my furbabie Ruby on Friday the 14 of Dec...I barley could talk I was so upset because we had to have her put to sleep..the staff was the most catering and understanding staff ever...they didn't rush us or anything..they let me take my time with her one last time..I will forever be greatful to them

Vic Taylor

I owe Dr. Jonathan Sheff big time! Our family took our 8 year old pit bull, Gator, into Airport animal emergency. We were there 40 minutes before the doors opened up. He pulled in the parking lot and acknowledged us. He stated nurses were inside and he would tell them we were outside. We went into an examination room. The doctor came in and felt his belly and looked at his teeth. Right away he told us there was a mass in the stomach, Gator needed an x-ray and blood work. He told us the cost too. We were in agreement and the dog was the concern, not the money. In hindsight, it was nice to know what the price was and what the next step was. Immediate attention, response, and expectations. This was a critical moment for our family and Doctor Sheff didn't leave us in the dark about anything. Gator had to have immediate surgery. He ate a corn cobb. He was vomiting blood for 2 days. While we were waiting for the blood results, he got sick in the exam room and made a huge mess. The doc came in and was very calm about the mess. We had to leave Gator there. The doc told us to call as much as we wanted to check in. He told us he would call between 9pm and 10pm. He called us as promised. Gator wasn't ready to come home in the morning because he was still in critical care. The doc told us where to take him (Merdian animal hospital) and he would be at that location right behind us. Doctor Sheff told us he didn't want to hand off Gator to another doctor because he's been the pilot and pretty much felt responsible for Gator's recovery. I can't describe how good it feels to know that there is a Doctor with such compassion, responsiveness, and that is sacrificial of his time. Who do you know that will go these kind of lengths? Wow!!! Dr. Sheff if your reading this, thank you so much! I don't know how to express my thankfulness or how we could ever repay you. The world needs to know how awesome of a Doctor and person you are!

marian schwedler

Took good care of my fur baby

Mary Fleehearty

I have had the opportunity to visit this facility several times. Each time the staff have been extremely caring and helpful. The past few times I've been there my dogs have been seen by Dr. Jonathan Sheff. He's one of the best vets I've ever been associated with. He's extremely thorough when checking each pet and explains everything completely. Our pets are like family members to us. We trust the Airport Animal Emergi-Center completely when we have a problem that needs immediate attention. I recommend them constantly. Our thanks to the staff and doctors there.

Matthew Rice

Staff was Great!

Davida Ramey

I've had to use them a handful of times and they are always fast and nice to my babies. Thanks for being there when we need you!

Lisa S

They do such a great job. I've come there with several pets over the years with various emergencies that always seem to happen after normal hours and they are so compassionate and caring.

CINDY DONATO

They were educated, informative and efficient. I will recommend them for emergencies or even regular care.

Justine Ramey

I've had to use their services 3 times now and every time they provide a great service. My pet and I were brought back quickly, were seen by the vet quickly and the vet gave us his honest opinion on our options. That alone is worth 5 stars!

Dan R

Very attentive to our needs and reasonably priced considering the services they offer. Took care of our cat and made sure we understood all the pricing options ahead of time. Not a great neighborhood but when it's an emergency it doesn't matter.

Christopher Kelly

I had to take my 14 year old dog to have her put to sleep late in the evening. The two women that helped me were very good. Thanks for your compassion and taking care of my dog in her final minutes.

Ed Riley

Very kind efficient care. No effort to upsell or extract $ in our time of grief. The only worthy emergency veterinary clinic in Indianapolis. Thank you for your compassion and care. Update, 2nd visit: Just returned from a 2am emergency visit with our dog. Charlie had severe gastric distress with hemorrhagic diarrhea and vomiting. Dr Murphy was absolutely fantastic in addition to the attending staff member. Kind efficient and effective. Again no excessive up selling or pressure just kindness and care for our dog Charlie. Our first and only source for emergency after hours care for all our animals. THANK YOU FOR BEING GREAT!

Whitney Lee

When my dog ate dark chocolate late one night, I called Airport Animal. They fit me in and had me bring both my dogs into the clinic, because we didn't know at the time only one was the culprit. They were professional, friendly and warm, and the offices were clean. The bill obviously wasn't fun, but it was less than I would have thought for an emergency night-time visit for two dogs. Thank you so much for helping my puppies through the Great Dark Chocolate Incident!

Terri Neading

Needed an emergency vet and they were great

Jacob Tanner

They put it at easy knowing they were going to do their best for our family.

Cyndi Ortega

They did not take much time at all examming and through us the answer that our dog had an upset tummy from getting into the trash or something. WRONG!!!!! They didnt believe us when we told them he is 7yr old he doesn't get into the trash etc. (This was late Saturday night) we took our dog 1st thing Monday morning to our regular vet and it was much more serious!!! A simple x-ray told the true story! But the emergency vet didnt even do that! Only looked him over and said upset tummy. No x-ray no blood work NOTHING!!!!! Very disappointed in them

Neal Adams

Did check my dog out he felt her sides and I told him she had blood in her stool.

Leanne Hunt

I brought my puppy in one Sunday evening and overall had a great experience. When I first arrived I had to wait in the lobby for a short while (which I completely expected; it was a Sunday night at an emergency vet and they clearly had some patients there that were worse off than mine). Even while I was in the lobby I received great attention from the reception staff. They had me fill out all my intake paperwork and asked me lots of questions to try and expedite the process. Then my puppy started throwing up in their lobby. Embarrassed, I tried to clean it up myself with some tissues. I could tell the staff was having a busy evening and didn't want to bother them. The male receptionist (I forget his name) immediately took notice and insisted I not worry about it and came over with a mop. He was very kind! As soon as an exam room came available we were seated and shortly after seen by Dr. Gust. He was absolutely wonderful! He was very calm and thorough in him exam of my girl and thoughtfully listened to everything I had to say about what was going on. After his full check over he told me that her clinical signs indicated that she ingested a certain type of plant that had her feeling a little funny, but overall expected her to be fine. He didn't judge me at all, especially when I burst into tears from pure relief (full disclosure, I'm an insane dog mom). He offered to run some tests if I wanted some extra peace of mind but told me he really didn't think it was necessary. He told me to just get her a bag of cheetohs on the way home and let her sleep it off. In the end I paid $93 for the exam fee (a very fair price for an emergency clinic!) and for total peace of mind. Worth it in my opinion! And although I hope I never have to come back I'm glad to know that I have this place as a go to if another emergency comes up.

Penny Crawley

Emergency Vet Clinic. Very good clinic. I have had several pets at the clinic over the years & have always been treated with compassion & vets have been great with my pets.

Joe fall

Great service. But watch out for your wallet

Rebecca Bilbrey

Good emergency vet. Costs more than regular vets because of the nature of the business. Have always been there when an emergency has arose. Sometimes very crowded and they triage pets so if yours isn't suffering a life treating situation you may be passed over until the animal in peril of dying is seen. But then that's how I'd want mine treated if they were in danger of dying. It's just like a human emergency room. Some pets come here after being attacked by other dogs, hit by cars or in cardiac arrest. The docs do their very best to help each and every animal have a good outcome.

Tara Strahl

Very knowledgeable but felt rushed. Not the best bedside manners but they get the job done

Sherry Riley

Excellent staff and m.d. truly caring for your pet while keeping in mind that not everyone can afford everything. They care about pets and their owners.

Diogenes Castor

Good fast service and nice people

Corky ko

Excellent caring service

Laserman OfPhysics

Terrible place. NEVER go there!!! They will leave you and your injured pet in a room for over 1 hour before your emergency is seen by the "doctor". RUN RUN RUN. I had to leave after 45 minutes and drive to another place IndyVet over 20 minutes away. My cat passed away on the trip to Indy Vet do to Airport Nonemergency not seeing her. I called after 45 minutes and they said they would see me shortly. A joke of a place for sure. A gay man is the receptionist,

Fawn

the staff was wonderful. they helped my dog so much. she unfortunately passed away but not because of lack of medical care. the doctor and staff were just so loving and caring. they made us feel like it was their baby too. highly recommend going there for emergency treatment. THANK YOU!

Jane Melkey

Our 10 year old cat crawled into our front load washer. She went through a cycle before I found her. Our washer is on lower level of the house and off my husbands office, so I would not have heard any noise. Needless to say, when I opened the washer and saw my cat, I freaked and was totally devastated and hysterical. As it was Sunday, our regular vet wasn't open and I've never had a pet emergency where I needed to take them to an emergency veterinarian. We were whisked into the room quickly and waited approximately 25 minutes, maybe 30. A tech came in and then finally the doctor. I told him what had happened. I can NOT stress devastated and shock enough. He seemed congenial but not really informative. They said they would be starting an IV and and they needed to get her body temp up as she was in shock and it was low and they would get her started on pain meds. I would have thought xrays would have been called for given the nature of the injuries and type of accident. Plus she had burns on her ears and above her eyes from the water. I also assumed because she was in a washer, maybe check her lungs for water? We went out and I saw a sheet with what they would be doing but not given a copy where I could look and see what was being done when I could focus. I paid $400 and was told to call back at 4 PM. I did. I was told she was resting but alive. I asked if I could call again because I wasn't sure how this worked. I had never taken any of our animals to emergency before. She said, I could call back as often as I wanted to check. I felt better about that and felt Molly was in good hands. I called again at 8 PM. Again they said she was resting and that her temp was up to normal and she had stopped the bloody diarrhea, which I was told was normal for cats in shock. I want to say here, I was devastated that this tragic accident had happened and was already beating myself up for not looking in the washer before throwing clothes in. I guess in the thousands of times I've put clothes in, my cat had never decided to make it her bed. It was the last thing I was thinking at 1:30 am. I wasn't told about pickup times or what the next step was with Molly and just assumed, they would tell me. Assume nothing. Yesterday morning I was getting ready for work and called at 7:30 to find out how she did overnight and when she would be released. The lady said we were wondering when everyone else had picked up their animals, where I was. I said, I didnt know I was to pick her up. No one told me. She said, yes, the other shift is bad about informing people we close at 8 AM Monday morning and don't reopen till 6 PM. I said, ok, I will be there shortly. She said, no problem as we usually don't get out right at 8. I got there at 8:15. She asked me if I wanted the IV line left in. I was confused. She said, to take her to your regular vet. I assumed again, that she would be given all the treatment there, that she needed. Again, not explained. She got Molly and I was informed I needed to pay another $283. I did and was sent home with verbal directions on litter box, heat pad, rectal temps and given 10 syringes of pain meds they had drawn at 0.2 cc each and she needed to have one when I got her home and every 12 hours after. I asked about antibiotics for water in lungs or the horrid burns. She said, the doctor left at 7 and that's all she had. She said, I was to put triple antibiotic ointment on burns. I was still thinking the burns were bad enough for antibiotics. She also told me Molly had not touched her food nor pottied. I thought at that point perhaps she had internal injuries but assumed that they checked. Long story short, Molly died, at 10:30 this evening. She had appt with our vet at 10 today as she seemed to be declining. Molly should have been put to sleep when I brought her in. What do I have now? Bury my cat.The money, isn't the point. The point is the cat was hurt beyond repair and she suffered and she didn't have to. I called tonight for an itemized bill. Was told I got the yellow copy. I was given my cat. No receipts. No yellow copy.

Kasi Koerner

They were great with my dog. After her visit she is doing so much better.

I had a dental emergency with my senior cat on a Saturday evening and they were easy to get into. The veterinarian was very honest with me about risks with anesthesia (kitty is old and has a heart murmur) but realistic (it was quick induction, pull the tooth, bring her out of it). He explained everything to me well, initially in layperson terms but then scientifically once he realized I was in the medical field. Overall a great experience, albeit pricey but that is to be expected in an emergency.

Quick service. Up front pricing. Staff was patient with my extra energetic pup.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE experience!! I have dealt with the clinic since they opened, Dr. Naum always was a great guy to deal with, Dr. Sheff has always treated me nice and been fair to deal with, but NOW they have a guy named Murphy who does not deserve to have a position of dealing with sick/injured animals, and the humans who LOVE their animals! So here is my experience this past weekend. Friday the 25th I took our beloved Schnauzer to his regular vet, they said he had pancreatic issues and need hospitalized and that they had no overnight facility, so since I have previously dealt with them, I took Snickers there. I went in, no one was at the counter, so I patiently waited. A little time went by, and finally Murphy walks out (note I did not refer to him as Dr.) he asks me "hasn't someone waited on you yet?" and I said no, I assumed HE was going to "check" Snickers in, so I started to tell him that we had been to the vet and explain WHY we were there, when he RUDELY and ARROGANTLY says "DO YOU MIND? I HAVE OTHER PATIENTS TO TEND TO" he did not say it in a POLITE form, but rather RUDELY!! So after the receptionist checked us in, we were in an exam room and Murphy walked in, he had the blood work results from the regular vet (they were one hour earlier) he looks at them, says "it looks like a pancreatitis and those can be COSTLY" he then ONLY talked about MONEY, MONEY , MONEY!! So I asked him if it was treatable, and he RUDELY says "CAN I TALK?" So what he was trying to get across to me was the MONEY, instead of telling me the overall prognosis, he then was talking about his kidneys, and then mentioned a catheter, to which I TRIED to ask " for the kidneys, or IV?" and he said "you're referring to an enema" as though I am some IDIOT who doesn't know the difference between an enema and a catheter! So on Saturday, I got a call from Dr. Sheff, he explained to me that Snickers condition was worsening and he thought Snickers had cancer, so I took my girlfriend and we went and visited Snickers, he could barely hold his head up, I talked to my adult children, and they wanted to see him before he was put to sleep, my daughter called me back and said EVERYONE wants to see him, including my ex wife, so I felt it was not polite for us ALL to go into the clinic, it would be disruptive to other patients and their families, and I had discussed it with Dr. Sheff, so I went to pick him up (less than 1 mile from my house) and Dr. Sheff was gone, I explained we were going to bring him home, lay him on the couch, and allow the family to just "LOVE" him for 30 minutes or so, then we would bring him back for the shot to put him to sleep, so the girl goes back and talks to Murphy, comes out and says "without FULL payment, you cannot take your dog" WOW!! I am a business owner who has spent THOUSANDS of dollars there, and I got treated that way! I explained that my checkbook was at home, that I had 15 people waiting, that I would leave my drivers license with them, and that I would in NO WAY disrespect Snickers by NOT paying, I asked them to call Dr. Sheff, but they refused, they were being lead by MURPHY! I paid with a charge card, but this ENTIRE ordeal shows just how LITTLE they CARE about your beloved pet, but just how MUCH they care about the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR! Please do NOT take your pet to these people who are ONLY interested in your MONEY!!

Taken great care of our English bulldog every time we take him there

This place is a joke. Our dog got sick over the weekend and this was the nearest place. After looking him over and realizing we couldn't afford the treatment they sent him home. We found out on Monday when our Vet office opened he could have died. So I'm saying this if your not financially able don't send your dog there.

I've debated on writing this review since Nov 10th, when we lost our dog at this facility. And now with a clear mind, I am. If I could give negative stars, I would. We brought our dog in, due to her acting lethargic and not eating after being put on a round of antibiotics and steroids due to hotspots. We were informed by the vet that she was suffering from severe pancreatitis/possible cancer. We did xrays and ultrasounds along with CBC, and a slew of other testing. We were given two options " inpatient care" or " outpatient care", neither one came with a guarantee of if or how long she'd live. We opted for outpatient care as we couldn't afford a hospital stay , and they whisked her away, to give some medications, none of which we were informed of until she was brought back to us. When they did bring her back, she damn near passed out, she slumped down on the floor began drooling, had labored breathing, was incoherent, and her eyes were rolled up in her head. We at that point, decided this was no life for our dog and made the hard choice to to put her to sleep. This decision seemed to anger the vet and the nurse. The male vet argued with my husband and I for a good 10 minutes about our decision, and made us feel horrible about it. After about 10 mins, he slammed the " consent to euthanize" form on the metal examine table and walked out. Approximately 5 minutes later the female nurse walked in, and yanked our dog up off the floor saying " come on get up"( yes yanked up by her body harness, still incoherent ) and took her to place an IV for the medication. My husband stayed with her while she passed, I left the room after I got a final kiss from her. I waited in the waiting room out front. The " nurse" then came out and asked if I was ready to pay, rudely told me " cost is $1191" And extended her hand for payment. Not a word was spoken otherwise. She ran my card, whilst I stood there sobbing. She then slammed the receipt and pen on the counter and said "sign here". I did and she walked away. My husband came out and we left. Nothing was said to us as we left. This left us feeling even more devastated by the loss of our beloved dog. We were never asked if we wanted her body to come home with us, or anything about cremation, or about a paw print, nothing was spoken to us. It needs to be said this place has seen my dog, approximately a dozen times before throughout her nine year life and we were NEVER treated like this. They also helped our cat pass peacefully three years ago, and they were helpful. I'm sure this will fall on deaf ears, but I will not be returning to this place with ANY pet I have nor will my friends or family. They were the rudest, most inconsiderate folks I've ever dealt with in a situation like this. I'd like someone to reach out to me about this, but I'm sure again, this will fall on deaf ears. Thank you for not being there for us and our furchild as she passed over the rainbow bridge. The abrupt loss of her and your rudeness has left us angry and we won't soon forget it.

This clinic is outstanding! Our dog got into a pack of sugar free gum, and they provided excellent and prompt care, and allowed for us to have a follow up visit knowing we didn't have an established vet in the Indy area having just recently moved here.

Amanda Johnson

Very compassionate and caring staff...grateful for the time and gentle care they gave to us and allowing us to mourn as a family for our dying kitty. They treated all of us with respect and explained everything thoroughly.

Connie Hickman

Place was great. Treated my cat very good. Great experience.

Ryan Cambridge

Very polite, honest, and attentive staff. Expected a huge bill, but thought the charges were very reasonable. If your dog needs help, don't hesitate to take him here! Wish I didn't have to, but very thankful I did!

Scott

Vets were gentle, through, & friendly. Thank you for taking care of my Lola!

Came in about 1 am with a hurt pup. Dr. Murphy was awesome!! They got us in and out but without rushing us. We got a diagnosis for our pup and a weeks worth of medicine along with a copy of her imaging. Dr. Murphy saw me crying because I was so worried about my girl and he did all he could to help us but not rack up a huge bill! Highly recommend this facility!

So nice to have a 24 hr pet hospital! Very kind and thorough. Happy they charge fair prices, too.

Darlene Brown

We had to take our two dogs here today (9/27/15) because they wouldn't stop vomiting. While it was nothing too serious, thank goodness, the doctor in the office made the whole trip worth it. He basically said we could treat it symptomatically or go ahead with x-rays which would more than likely not show anything due to the symptoms they had. It was nice of him to let us know our options, instead of just doing things that weren't medically necessary at the time. Much better than other 24 hour animal clinics I've had the displeasure of taking my animals to. We will definitely be back with any business after vet hours, but hopefully we won't have to!!

Very helpful and caring

Everyone we ecountered here was extremely friendly and kind to us and our fur baby. They made us and our Bimini feel comfortable and way less anxious than we were when we walked in. Would definetly recommend, great place.

While I can't review the facility in itself because I did not actually visit, I can review their staff. My pitbull had a bloated belly, and was very gassy. I decided to call in, and get an opinion, worrying that it would possibly be GDV. While Leigh made it known that if it were GDV, it is time sensitive, but she also told me what signs to look for as a sure thing to bring him in. She didn't automatically say bring him in, as you expect most emergency vets to do to make that automatic $400. She was honest with me, and made me feel relaxed in the situation. She assured me they were there for me at any point of the night, and to call back/come in if necessary. She truly was wonderful, and handled my hypochondriac moment very well. I'm sure I sounded like a crazy woman, but she never made me feel as though I was crazy. Pluto the pitbull is feeling fine today, and thank goodness it was just some bad gas. If there is ever an emergency with my fur babies, this is where I will be. You can tell they truly care, just by speaking on the phone, so I'm more than sure they'd be wonderful during a visit. Thank you, Leigh!!!

In and out.. Staff was amazing!!

They put the wrong size cast on my dog and didn't tape it on very well and within 36 hrs it slipped down pulling his leg backwards so he couldn't move his leg and was falling alot. I duct taped it up just so he could walk to go potty. I called them to ask if they could fix it. I was snapped at and told to take him somewhere else and have it redone!! For this they charged me $409.00 DON'T TAKE YOUR ANIMALS THERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT THEM AT ALL!!!!!!

Shcara Christie

Wonderful care they saved my dog's life!

Marcie Garn
