Excellent Care!!! We have been taking our dog here for almost 10years and have ALWAYS been happy. All staff and veterinarians treat our pet like their own. We recently had an emergency on a Sunday, our fur baby Jax could not pee. Having had this issue in the past with my prior cat Jasper my heart sank knowing the outcome was bleak. The DR met with us immediately and we did what we could to try to save my fur baby but ultimately we lost him. The compassion we were given during our loss has by far exceeded any expectation anyone could have. I would recommend this vet to anyone they truly loves animals and have a compassion for their families (owners) as well as the understanding of how hard the loss was for us.

The staff generally share their willingness to help with even providing alternative ways of paying for my boarding of my cats; which I truly appreciated it. All of our experiences with River Ridge have been professional and they take the time and effort to explain everything in whatever detail is necessary. We travel to 3 different states during the year and therefore have gone to different vets and if there is an issue with our dogs that can be "saved" until we get here, we do that. I would recommend River Ridge to anyone with no reservation.

My dog had to have a procedure done there today. This is he 2nd day back due to pancreatitis. The first visit, close to $600, no problem, she is my baby and I have a credit card lol. Back today and and they make it very clear that they are more concerned with how I’m going to pay them than the care and well being of my dog. Again, wouldn’t be here if I could not pay for it. Thinking it’s time to find a new vet.

Bonafied Training

Hearsay cannot always be trusted. I had listened to folks say that RR provided great care, but was more costly than some other clinics. NOT TRUE!!! My Bestie needed cruciate ligament surgery and I shopped around, exhaustively. RR was the least expensive and actually offered more care than the others I checked. I was also provided a tiered estimate of procedures that were elective. It resembled a menu with ala carte items! I knew exactly how much every single thing would cost. They followed up after surgery to be sure my boy was ok and if I had any questions. Their technicians and vets are progressive and knowledgeable, They have "old country vet" values and heartfelt concern for their clients, served with modern medicine practices. When it was time for my son's little girl to cross the Rainbow Bridge, they were amazing. If only one suggestion: Provide a less clinical room used solely for euthanization. Please?

Awfulness we had an appointment thay lost it we have a 85 lbs rot pit puppy who is a lil to exitabel and thay had us in the waiting room for a half hour with him wineing and barking because nun of the othet dog owners wanted there dog around owr pit meanwile othere dogs are going right into rooms wile thay see owrs making a seen the most poorly run vet I have seen other. Experience were not like this I'm looking for a new vet

My "tiny baby puppy", Duchess the Destroyer (of rugs, toys, beds, etc. NOT living things) now a 112 lb. Rott, had severe GI upset (screaming diarrhea) which exhibited mainly at night and the wee hours of the morning. This had followed a 3 week long struggle with waiting for her to pass fabric, fiber and rubber she had previously ingested. She was no longer passing fabric and was otherwise happy and active with no other symptoms. But after many nights of literally no sleep, I finally made an appt. to take her to the vet. The Dr. determined that she had no parasites or other serious underlying issues and treated her for the diarrhea only. (Apparently, as I was feeding her various aids to help her pass the foreign materials, I had over done it and had flushed the good flora from her gut! Helicopter Mom? Bad, bad mommy!) After the doctor treated her she was MUCH improved within hours. And I finally got some much needed sleep. And as always, the entire staff was professional, kind, courteous, respectful and sympathetic ( Duchess looked fine, but I was looking pretty rugged and desperate!). Thank you River Ridge! Thank you!!

I have been using River Ridge for over 10 years and have never had any problems or issues. I have taken my dogs, cats and even my guinea pig to this clinic. All the girls at the desk are very friendly and helpful! My favorite vet is Dr Phil, he helped save my little Ellie's life 8 years ago, with his help I had 3 more years to love her! All the Dr's here are very good, very kind and gentle with my pets. I have heard people say it is expensive to come here , but I feel you get what you pay for ,and when it comes to my pets, who are a part of my family, I will pay a little more if I have to in order to get quality care for them.

I have used River Ridge for over 20 years. When I had to put down my 15 year old Chihuahua, Dr Sarah handled it professionally and with such a caring, loving presence. Dr Phil did the same when my cherished Golden Retreiver got cancer and had to be put down. Thanks to River Ridge they had lived long, healthy, lives. When I call and need an appointment they do their best to get us right in. We wait a very short time for our appointment and when we do see Dr. Phil, he takes the time to answer our questions and address our concerns. I have been very happy with the professional, caring attitudes of all the staff.

The staff at River Ridge is outstanding. The vets and staff are always attentive to our concerns, gentle with our pets and provide excellent, knowledgeable care. The boarding staff goes above and beyond. For years when we went out of town we boarded two dogs together, one was not only difficult but required a special diet and medicine, and the staff took the extra time and effort to ensure both dogs got the individual care they needed. More than once they have 'saved' us when we needed to go out of town for unexpected medical emergencies. Thanks River Ridge!

I just started bringing my pets to the River Ridge Animal Hospital. The facility is 1st class in every respect. Their fees are very reasonable and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Our Veterinarian is Dr. Erin Graves. I was highly impressed with her knowledge and her bedside manor. I am very particular who treats my pets and Dr. Graves gets an A+ from me.

We have been going to see the vets since 1975 when the practice was in Sterling on route 2 beside the state police station. Our animals all enjoy going to see everyone and visit. Everyone makes a big deal over each one of them.. We rescue dogs and have had the privilege of having many into our home. The many people that work at River Ridge should be commended for their care of animals. You couldn't ask or receive better care.

First time I have ever used their facilities to board my Labrador, (Bella), and was pleasantly surprised when picking her up that they had washed and folded the bedding that I had dropped off with her. After her stay there, which was a whole week, I went there to pick her up and she acted like she almost didn't want to leave. They were very nice , and informative, told me EVERYTHING and left no stone unturned. I know its evil. But i brought my cat here to get de-clawed. Lazor procedure. My cat came home (after staying there all day to be monitored) and didnt even act any different. He didn't limp, had no problem jumping or going up his cat tree. Even tho im not saposed to let him do that stuff , but he wasent gona let me stop him. Im impressed, i will pay tha price for such an amasing hospital, its worth it to me to have my fur babys comfortable and treated rite. And my cat Louey obviously was.

Dr. was great. Staff was friendly but not clear with the instructions on medication. There was discrepancy between the instruction on the med. label and verbal instruction. I followed the instruction on the bottle and found out that was wrong. I called following day for clarification, technician even didn’t apologized.
