I took my puppy to Randall Road Animal Hospital in South Elgin, because that is where her breeder had taken her since birth. The facility is very clean, the staff is super friendly, and the veteranarian (Dr. Singh) was patient and explained everything to me. I would definitely recommend them.

Took my little guy in for their "free wellness exam" and ended up with an invoice with 9 items on it for a total of $305.94. The licensed veterinarian saw me for literally 3-4 minutes max. Before a staff member went to "prioritize" items with the vet, they showed me a brochure for their credit card program... The person came back and attempted to convince me this was a sick appointment and charge me for it, leaving a "prioritized" invoice total of $160.94. After arguing that I signed up for the "free wellness exam" for first time customers, the individual said the front receptionists could "explain the difference" for me between a "free wellness exam" and "sick appointment", and that the vet was only willing to waive the sick appointment fee if I payed for the quoted tests, of which multiple seemed unnecessary. I just walked out distraught. For a first vet exam it left my faith in clinical health practices shaken. It felt extremely money hungry.

Brought my new Maltese puppy Sophie in for her rabies shots and the staff was so nice to us, they just loved Sophie so much that they wanted to take some pics of her too. Sophie got the royal treatment...........great place...............would definitely recommend. The prices are very reasonable as well.

We have been coming to Dr. Paul for 2 years now with our gaggle of poodles. Dr. Paul and the entire staff are wonderful! We recently had a dog diagnosed with diabetes - Dr. Paul has been great to work with as we try to get his insulin adjusted. Take advantage of the 2 for 1 vaccination days. I highly recommend Dr Paul and staff - most caring and knowledgeable vet we have been to in 30 years!

My wife has come to this vet multiple times since they’re closest to our home, and nearly every time she has left with a bad experience for one reason or another. Today was the last time. The doctor she dealt with was incredibly rude and disrespectful, and I’m fuming after hearing how she was treated. I have no idea how a business can operate treating their customers like they’re incompetent. I’d avoid this place at all costs.

I won't even give them a star, they did nothing but cost us a lot of money with one medication after the other and misdiagnosis and then more money and more tests. then lets retest for the same thing. Yeh lets retest and give you more money . They gave my dog tests that she was supposed to be there for 4 hours to make sure she has no reactions and called us after 1/2 hour and said she was done. We questioned this after they told she had to be there 4 hours they said the doctor was busy and we needed to pick her up. Then tried to sell us medication three times that she was on and tried to make us feel guilty. I can go on but I just hope that you look past the promotions they scam you on and do not bring you pet here. They are only interested in making money

Randall Road Animal Hospital in Algonquin is a great place with friendly staff and doctors. The location in South Elgin is horrible because of the doctor. I’ve given this guy 5 chances because the place is so convenient, but he is always the same. Completely unfriendly to my dog. Always in an extreme rush. Never willing to answer any questions. I have had pets my entire life and this is by far the worst vet I have ever experienced Four years ago he charged me almost a thousand dollars to remove a lump from my 1 year old dogs face. Guess what it ended up being? A lymph node. He didn’t know where the lymph nodes on a black lab are. I will never be back and I strongly suggest you find someone else as well.

I found them online when my 18 year old Maine Coon Spirit suddenly could not lift his head or walk. Spirit was an indoor cat and so healthy we never had to go to the vet. I had a vet that I was not pleased with for our dogs so I decided to see about a new vet. My sister in law is a vet in MN so I always have a trustworthy second opinion. I called the Randall Road Hospital after reading about Dr. Paul and all his wonderful experience. When I explained I was a new patient and the emergency, they got us in immediately and it was moments after walking through the door I was seeing Dr. Paul. He was very thorough, gentle and knew right away that several things could have happened. We had to take some tests and as soon as results were available, I was contacted. It was awful news he was in acute kidney failure, within 3 days he stopped eating, drinking, walking his quality of life was reduced to sleep. We chose to let him go, rather than put him through any more procedures to keep him going for a few more days or weeks. The whole family was allowed in to the room and we were given all the time in the world to spend our final moments with Spirit. I have had this experience more than a few times over the years, it is never a peaceful moment, it is so very painful. This was so gentle and kind, Spirit was so peaceful and we were able to begin the grieving process privately and compassionately. I would highly recommend this animal hospital. At the worst time in our small little world they were a blessing to us as we started to deal with our loss.

Everyone here has great customer service. We have 3 dogs that we bring in. We have a Pomeranian and 2 black lab mixes. 1 of our black lab mixes had a horrible traumatic experience at a different vet in South Elgin which caused her to have horrible anxiety at vets and pet stores. She usually has to see Dr. Paul since she's more comfortable with him. My other 2 can see any of the vets there. They are all understanding and caring to our 3 dogs!

When my Husband passed from cancer, they stepped in to help, sending Vet Techs to my home to give my Pups their vaccines so they'd not be late, and could not have been more kind, compassionate and courteous. I was recently in need of a new veterinarian and decided on Randall Road Animal Hospital. I had heard great things about Dr. Paul and set up a wellness exam with him. The exam was great and the price was very reasonable. A couple of months later my 10 year old Mastiff developed a growth on his eye. Needless to say I was worried and wanted it looked at ASAP. Dr. Paul got me in and took a look at the growth. He explained the various options and we decided on a wait and see approach. I was very appreciative that he did not push surgery immediately on a 10 year old large breed dog. The growth did not change for a few weeks and then out of nowhere it suddenly grew. I immediately called in and requested a date for surgery and we got it booked. One day after surgery my pup's eye looked awesome and he was feeling great! Although money is not the first consideration when it comes to my dogs care, it is still a relevant factor. The price of the surgery was very reasonable. I have paid over 4k for a surgery at a specialty veterinary hospital so this was definitely a breath of fresh air! I can't thank Dr. Paul and all the staff at Randall Road Animal Hospital enough!!!!

To begin with,the staff are very accommodating I have two large dogs and while I was filling out their form, as it was my first visit, they offered to take one of the dogs until I finished. My female Lab. then has a bathroom accident while being held by the tech and she was very kind about it and cleaned the area. They really demonstrate their love for animals the techs are just wonderful. The Dr Bajuk is a terrific doctor he has great compassion and put the dogs at ease my 10 y/o Rot/Belgian Malinois/Irish terrier mix was giving kisses to the doctor, which is a first. Besides being compassionate Dr Bajuk demonstrates keen clinical skills and knowledge and is a great educator offering information pertaining to the health of my dogs. I have been to many vets and couldn't be more pleased.

They saved my dog's life. I thought maybe he had some kind of parasite or something, that was my worst fear. Honestly, I thought I was being overly protective by bringing him to the vet. Turns out my 9 lbs dog had a nearly 1lbs tumor. Not only did everyone here take amazing care of JC, but when the doctor found out that I am disabled, he started making extra phone calls to see how the stress was effecting my health. They genuinely care. These are the kinds of people you want to trust with the life of your furry family. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Thank you guys so much. My dog isn’t the best with other dogs sometimes so of course when we were in last he started to bark at another dog and one of the receptionists immediately took charge and put us in an exam room to avoid a melt down. I appreciated that so much because bringing him there usually makes me nervous since he can be somewhat unpredictable. We met with a new vet at the practice as well and I loved her! I will never bring my dog back there again. I went to try this new place and they wanted to keep my dog in the hospital for 3 days and there was nothing wrong with her. The bill was going to be $1,500 I said no I'm taking her home. Ended up paying $250.00 for visit and medication for an ear infection that her didn't have. I think they were taking advantage of me because I'm an older person. Never again.

I use to bring our dog Cocoa & twenty year old cat Kitty Kitty to Banfield Pet Hospital. Randall Road Animal Hospital is substantially less expensive for all of their services. You don't wait like you do at Banfield. The Doctor and staff spend time with you and supplies you with all the information and test results promptly. Their office and patient rooms are clean. Please look for their coupons as they can save you money. I drive from 64 and La Fox Rd, and worth the trip. I am a frugal person and I assure you won't find a better value with quality care for your pets. Please patronize Randall Road Animal Hospital. They are an asset to the Fox Valley area.

This is a caring, efficient clinic. The staff and techs could not be sweeter and the vets obviously love animals. Also the cost is affordable. My cat has a tumor that has to be removed. Not knowing what they were going to find once they opened it up, they found it joined to vital organs like his carotid artery. Rather than risk my cat's life and try to remove it themselves (my cat might have bled out), they erred on the side of caution and closed him back up and referred me to a soft-tissue specialist surgeon. That was the professional, honest thing to do and between the referral and their knowledge, it will save my cat's life.

This was my first time here, and I had an appointment and arrived 15min early as requested. Filled out my paperwork in 5min, then waited....and waited... 45min later after they let 2 other patients in before me that only waited 15-20 mins they approached me and asked us to wait in the exam room, where we waited yet again....oh did I forget to mention I was there with an anxious dog waiting to be seen to treat her anxiety and she was panting and shanking the entire time... Doctor comes in, (at this point I've already thought about leaving so I was not in a good mood) doctor has no bed side manners, and is hard to understand. He leaves and we wait again for the blood draw. I had enough at this point and just walked out, told the front desk and all they said was sorry.... I will not return and caution you.

This place is absolutely terrible!If I could give it a -10 stars I would!money hungry and purposely misdiagnosed animals on several occasions just to get you to pay top dollar for test that are NOT needed,just to rack up your bill!then they act like you are crazy for asking how a check up on a healthy animal ended up costing you $500! Unless you like to give your money away for entering a building and sitting for 2 hours minimum (because the Doctor is busy,and you are the only person in the waiting room) DON'T BRING YOUR PET HERE!

I had my puppy spayed at Randall Road Animal Hospital South Elgin about 2 weeks ago. This was the first time I was trying this hospital. I can't believe how wonderful they were to me and my pup, Mimi. The doctor was great and came and talked to me when I dropped Mimi off and also when I picked her up. The incision was so small and neatly done. They called the very next morning asking how Mimi was doing and they showed compassion and kind words to me. Mimi was fine the very next day. She only had 1 pain pill that day and never needed another one,. The other thing that impressed me was how affordable and reasonable their pricing was. They charged less than half of what my old vet used to charge me. The reason I changed vets was because my prior vet was so unreasonable regarding matching South Elgins pricing. Customer service and the ability for all the pet owners to afford what is needed for the pet seems to not be their concern, so Adious old vet, in with the Best place, Randall Road Animal Hospital South Elgin location. Love you guys!!

Love this vet. Dr Paul is wonderful and answers all questions. The rest of the staff is great too. We had different vet for our 18 and 12 year old boys until they passed. When we got Toby we were looking for a new vet. Our daughter recommended Dr Paul. Best switch we could have made. Toby is 2 now and we love the care he gets here. 1/2 shot prices and senior discount. They not only care about the pets but the owners as well. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed

This used to be our go to vet however we will no longer be wasting our time or money here. We took in our 6 year old Rottweiler as he was unable to put pressure on his back left paw and he was limping. After seeing his leg we were told he needed to stay and be put out for xrays as this could be a torn ACL, arthritis, cancer, etc. After xrays and a $300 vet bill we were told he has arthritis in his legs, hip dysplasia and severe arthritis in his ankle causing him to limp and not put pressure on it. They gave us 10 days of a pain med/anti-inflammatory and sent him home. After a week of being on the meds I called as they were not making even a slight difference. I was told we should up his dasuquin to 2 a day and we would have to find the right concoction of pain meds to keep him comfortable but keep in mind this will harm his organs so that'll need to be monitored. We were not satisfied with this answer. I took him to a new vet for a 2nd opinion. The vet examined his leg and immediately said his knee was swollen, my dog yelped very loudly at the test he was doing to his knee. This tells me Randall Road's vet didnt do a proper exam or they would have gotten the same reaction from him. The new vet said he tore a ligamate and will need to have TTA surgery to stabilize it, physically therapy and laser treatments for recovery. I am beyond disappointed with Randall Road Animal Hospital as my poor boy has been limping around way longer than he needed to be. If this was caught when we initially brought him in he would have already had surgery and would be on the road to recovery.

Horrible, horrible experience. My two year old cat had a blocked urethra. They couldn't unblock it- instead they tried and tried- tore his urethra, gave us a bill and suggested we go down the road to another vet. Very disappointed! If your pet needs care, go five minutes further to Premier, also on Randall Rd in Elgin- excellent staff and knowledgable care.

Brought my dog Wilson in for shots and check up. All the staff was wonderful and friendly. Wilson really liked Dr. Paul. Brought him in again the next week for teeth cleaning, I was a bit emotinal as my dog had never been put under before. They handled me well. Dr. Paul is the heart of Randall Road Animal Hospital. He is thorough, caring, understanding, patient, etc. He is the only vet I trust with our dog. He gives exceptional care.

I recently had the sad experience of having to have one of my loved cats put to sleep. Dr. Singh performed emergency surgery the day previous and this was my first time meeting him. He was very understanding and compassionate. I had to take her back the next morning with some complications and saw Dr. Paul. No words can express how kind, compassionate and understanding he was with both me and my beloved Trixie. The techs and office staff are all compassionate and kind too. If you have to experience something that is traumatizing at least you can have a compassionate staff here to go through it with you.

However, I would like to see that the doctor performs a more thorough assessment on my dog. It seemed like he did not ask too many questions and was in and out very quick without assessing thoroughly and getting to know my dog.

Wonderful staff. Very welcoming and kind. My skiddish dog is never skiddish when he is there. The vets know what they are talking about. We had several very random questions which were answered in great detail without skipping a beat. Very afforable as well. I go in expecting to pay a certain amount and am always so happy when they tell me what I actually owe.

Did a great job spaying my two cats and the fees/charges are a little less costly than those of comparable vets in the area. The person at the front desk and techs/vet assistants have always been very helpful and courteous. Will continue to come here for yearly vaccines!

We've been going to Randall Road Animal Hospital ever since my wife and I got our first dog Colby about a year ago. I know it sounds stupid, but I was hesitant at first because it wasn't in its own building like the vet we took our pets to growing up. It seemed rather small. We took our dog there simply because it was local and we got a free examination coupon in the mail. What we didn't realize was how we would like it so much and want to stay. Dr. Paul is the man. Super friendly, very knowledgeable, always takes time to talk and answer questions, doesn't make you feel rushed, etc. We've also had the other vet there for an appt once when Dr. Paul wasn't in, and he was awesome as well. The vet techs and staff are also very friendly and helpful. I have no plans of going anywhere else. Definitely recommend this place.

This is a great animal hospital! The staff is kind, understanding and so loving! My cat received care here once for a scratch in his eye and again for a bladder stone. They take the time to answer questions and clarify problems and procedures. The service doesn’t feel rushed or dismissive at all. They were able to accommodate our budget and are so flexible and attentive in their care for our cat. Definitely returning!
