We just moved to the area, and this place (Pet Vet in Dyer) was the closest. I just needed a refill of heartworm pills and a lepto vaccine. The waiting room was surprisingly calm, despite the variety of animals waiting. The young ladies at the counter were very helpful and welcoming. The time with the vet was short, but he was very friendly and told me of the side effects to watch for. I appreciated the amount of literature in the waiting room, educating on various illnesses and preventive measures. In short, I went looking for a quick solution and will definitely be trying the actual clinic in Crete for our well-checks.

We are so very thankful that we found this place. We brought our cat Callaway in and had to leave him overnight. The staff was so kind and encouraged us to call and check on him. They even sent me pictures and videos of how he was progressing. We have been to different vets with our previous pet but have never felt the level of kindness and caring that we have had here. This place would not tell me what’s going on with my dog until I pay and pay and pay for there services. One vet so called is retiring and only cares for his retirement and that’s it... and the staff is always right. They would not tell me what’s wrong until I pay . I also was told other prices on the phone but when I got there it was totally different prices just to get you in the door..... I will proceed on a investigation threw the animal board and my father that’s on of the best lawyers around in the Chicago area and will proceed on the lawsuit ... and my dog dies because all he wants is money then look out big time.... and the vet we saw told us he had multiple and multiple law suits... wait when my father walks in and delivers a personal surprise for everyone involved... under oath in court .. and not 1 person or vet or staff called us and see how my dog is doing ....just don’t get the half bald vet ever.

I have to admit I was skeptical in the beginning, a big red barn didn't exactly look like a professional facility. I decided to check them out before I even made my purchase of a Giant Schnauzer. To my pleasant surprise it was very professional and surprisingly friendly. I guess my introduction was them being curious wether I was a true animal lover or just some joe with a pet. Since that day I have been a loyal family member of Plum Creek. I love the communication, they send me text messages to inform me of my pets appointments, keep me updated on all shots, and does not press me in sales of other products. I would suggest Plum Creek to anyone who loves their pet and want to make sure they are well cared for by professionals!!!

I specifically asked them to call me, to authorize any treatment, they never did. When I called them to get a quote on my dogs care they told me approx 400.00 for my onr dog getting a cleaning and shots. They said they would examine my other 1.5 yr old to tell me if they could fix her tooth, if they could not I just wanted to get her shots done, which I discussed with them. What happened was they bombarded my husband with papers to sign did not go over anything with him, and told him in order to fix our 1.5 yr dogs tooth they had to clean her teeth, he questioned it and they told him it had to be done. They charged me for a full set of x-rays on both dogs which my husband not I authorized, they did a cleaning on my 1.5 year old then stated that they could not fix her tooth we had to go to a specialist. Why they could not tell him this before charging us 250.00 plus for a cleaning , and 115 for a full mouth xray set . This is very poor business. They gave my dogs a rabies shots but , never gave us the tags, I called them to get a refund on the services I never authorized , they admitted they over charged me for a nail trim but never called me back to advise about my refund or discuss why they insisted that my dog's teeth needed to be cleaned so they could repair a chipped tooth they never intended on fixing.They never gave my husband copies of the forms they had him sign so who knows what was on them , I tried to call them twice before they did anything on my dogs and each time I was told they would call me back, I never received a call. They say they were concerned about both of my dogs health , well they were so concerned , they never gave us after care forms , they never gave us the rabies tags but they made sure to get the bill paid and rush him out of the office . They charged me for unnecessary treatment that I did not want, never called me back to discuss my refund even though Dorothy the manager said she would. I am sorry to say the 1st time I took my dogs in I thought they were great and would have given them 10 stars. This time , which was the 2nd time I was very disappointed in their poor business ethics, and the fact that they never returned my calls or made a effort to refund anything , even the nail trimming for each dog they admitted they over charged me on. I am not so sure they were really looking out for my dogs health more than they were looking to see how much they could get away with charging me. Very sad i thought they woukd have been a great vet for my dogs.

Had a great experiece here today. First time customer with my greyhound Niko. Staff were very pleasant and adored my boy. Doctor listens and works with you. He was fair and understanding of cost. He works with you to determine best treatment with consideration of any cost issues. I felt very comfortable and immediately relieved in his presence. Saw doc. for dog's GI infection. I will be back. Also love the red barn. So cute! Thanks again!

Always a great visit at Plum Creek. Our dog has been going here and the other facility in Dyer (Pet Vet) since she was a pup. Great customer service and amazing with our dog. They offer all sorts of services from boarding to check ups. Highly recommend!

I have been taking my dogs and cats to both centers for a couple of years now and am very happy with all the drs and techs there. Had to put my cat down last year and they were wonderful....both of my little dogs have had to have dental and many teeth taken out. I tell anyone looking for a vet to come here.....

Plum Creek Animal Center has always been great to me and my pets. They were very caring and great when i had lost my two cats (even sent me a condolence card!) and have been awesome when i bring my dog in for visits. They were also VERY helpful when i found a lost elderly dog and brought her to them to help find her family. I would recommend them to anyone in the area looking for pet care.

we have had no issues, this last time my husband took our dog tucker in. I am sure he did question the bill. Nursing staff have always been nice. I did find strange we have yet to meet the vet. This last time I called to question the billing it was 149.00 crazy. My husbands fault he is gullible. So they told him had to have pack of six pills. Cost over 40 bucks. Now being upset, I would think the lady answer the call would have had enough sense to get an office manager on the phone. Or tell the office management or anyone with authority to call me back. Nope just keep telling me I was wrong when questioned about price on clipping nails. When we first came in the gal was new at the desk but went to ask and confirmed by a Michelle that yes as you stay our customer those price will go down. Well they didn't. I was upset and was told well those are the prices. No good customer service at all. No follow up call nothing. So no we won't be back and I hope people realize they also getting ripped. I thought maybe first few times just the nurses greet you. Never met the vet once. I Worked in retail management for over 25 yrs and if I was running this place, either have a meeting, or get ride of rude ppl. Drove us away and sure will others. To the person who was so rude and didn't handle my phone call well I hope your not in charge of reading reviews. You need so training of manners on the phones in this office. Its not all just one person. .

My visit was with the Pet Vet Express in Dyer, IN, which is affiliated with the Crete office. I love the ala' carte menu. My dog only needed a distemper shot and that's all I was charged for. No office visit fees and no 1 hour wait. The service was friendly and professional. I will definitely be going there again!

My husband and I adopted a shelter dog in October of 2015 and have been taking our Jake to Plum Creek since then. Our dog is extremely difficult at the vet, and the entire staff has been nothing but understanding with his issues. I always feel bad that they have to deal with him (he has to be muzzled, hates to be touched, very anxious, etc.), but they have never made us feel bad about this. Dr. Norby and all of the nurses are so understanding, and they work with him and make any adjustments necessary to make all of us comfortable while still getting everything done. Jake has had a few health issues since adoption, including heartworm, which has been treated successfully. Plum Creek has such a caring staff that always follows up with us. We can always call with follow up questions as well. Finally, we have boarded Jake many times at Plum Creek. We have had great experiences with this. The boarding staff has been so great with our Jake that we know he is in good hands any time we have to leave him for a couple of days. I would highly recommend Plum Creek to any pet owner.

We have been bringing our pets to Plum Creek for many years. I am comfortable with the doctors and staff at this facility and everyone is super friendly and helpful. We have dealt with ailments, cancer, surgeries, and the final passing here and I consider the quality of service and caring to be top notch. I have had some bad experiences with other vets but only good experiences at PC.

A couple of months ago we HAD to take our first-time ever sick puppers to the vet due to severe diarrhea, vomitting, lethargy, & loss of appetite. The staff there was FANTASTIC & they took extra special precautions to avoid possibly spreading his unknown illness by giving us shoe booties, paw booties & our own backdoor entrance bypassing any other patients in the lobby and/or exam rooms! I'm so sorry but I can't remember the vet's name but he was SUPER thorough, extremely knowledgeable, very patient, so gentle & really caring!! He correctly diagnosed & treated our puppers. Our dog was back to his zippy & happy self within 2-3 days!! The building is very clean & nice. I would not hesitate to recommend this animal hospital &/or vet at all!!

We first took our 12 year old cat to Pet Express in Dyer. The doctor and staff were wonderful and sent us the next day to Plum Creek Regional Animal Medical Center. The staff and doctors have been awesome. We ended up having to put our cat down after finding out last week he had a fast growing mass. The staff were very caring and compassionate. Out of any vet my cat had been to in the past, I was thankful to have found this place for the last week of his life. Definitely will be bringing my other cat in when the need arises to this facility.

The outside is terribly kept. Concrete cracks are filled with greatstuff foam filling. The weeds from the landscaping have clearly been laying on the sidewalk for a couple days eight outside the main entrance. The lady working the desk on Friday morning misinformed us of the prices of services and requirements for the services also leaving out state law requirements. We drove an hour to find out there is an extra exam charge just for a rabies shot, after we informed them we were coming from Indiana and needed to know the pricing before we wasted our time. Joy was very plesant and informed us of the corrections when we arrived. She also told the rude lady with the barking, aggressive dashund to contain it so it didnt bite our kids but the lady still didnt keep it back. BUT then Joy changed and didnt flex to help on the pricing even though the website says the package included rabies vaccine without an exam. The male doctor was also very rude and didnt even try to help with the situation. He said he refuses to wave the extra fee and was definitely not nice about it. He said it doesnt matter to him because he only gets paid for what he does anyways. So he obviously doesnt care about pets, just his pocket. We dont want anyone like that doctoring our family members. Neither should you! Dont settle for less. Go somewhere else.

I will never, ever take a pet there again. I took my cat there with tummy issues and the vet talks in circles so I wasn't sure what needed to be done. She suggested a shot that might help relax his stomach but never mentioned any side effects or allergic reactions. As I was driving home I saw that he looked like he was panting & had panicked eyes so we went back. The vet started listing all the things that could be wrong so I asked if it could be an allergic reaction and if we give benedryl would it hurt him if it wasn't a reaction. I think they're more interested in how much money they can get instead of truly caring for animals, or at least cats, maybe they like dogs better.

Dr. K is wonderful. They have always been accommodating for our pets. When our diabetic feline was having issues he needed to be examined same day. I went to literally 5 other vets local to Schererville and they all turned me away. PCRAMC did not. That is the type of service one should expect when it is needed. I will continue to go out of my way to visit the Crete facility as I know they will take care of our pet's needs going forward.

Pet Vet Express is great! I have been to several other highly recommended vet clinics in the area and by far I prefer Pet Vet Express. The doctor's are friendly, caring, and don't try and sell you things you don't need. If you want quality care, compassion, and reasonable prices this is the place.

I bring my cat to board here when we go away for a few days. I looked at a lot of places before I chose Plum Creek to take care of my little one. Nothing compares to the way they take care of him. The best staff and the best care for your beloved family member. My dog was a patient here for all 12 and 1/2 years of her life, and she got the last six years because of the excellent care and diagnostic skills of Dr. Norby and Dr. Morris. The reception staff, especially Chris, are warm and friendly, and make visits pleasant experiences for pet and owner alike, and the kennel services are phenomenal! I recommend Plum Creek Regional Animal Medical Center to the highest degree; they will make your pet feel like family.

I got lucky when my neighbor told me about Plum Creek, I was certainly not happy with the place that I was going to. The doctors and the ladies at the front desk are so totally awesome. Had a big issue with my Charlie, was not pooping, I went in and saw Dr. K and he stayed on the case until we got the issue resolved. Everyone knows me there, when I call they always say, "your Charlies mom right" yep that me, I love this place, so glad my neighbor told me about them. Would not want to go anywhere else...

The boarding center allows their dogs to bark all night and day with no regard to the neighboring houses. It sounds like dogs fighting , it's that bad. I would never bring my animal there just based on how bad it sounds. Even after calling and very nicely asking them if they could keep the barking to a minimum, they still don't even care. I understand animals bark but it's ridiculous how bad it is at 730am and how they allow them to bark throughout the entire night. Don't bring your animal here as it seems they neglect their animals. ((Update)) The barking continued for over 2 hours. I ended up driving over there to only see a male pull one small dog and take it away but continued to allow the other dogs to act out of control. DO NOT Board your animals here. Real dog owners do not allow their animals to disturb the peace and bark stressed out for hours and hours on end. *Response to theirs* Boarding is a service you do provide and just based on the excessive barking throughout the night and all day says all I need to know to form my own opinion on forewarning people to not board their animals there. Real businesses also keep in mind the surrounding community and ways to not disrupt the peace. 1984 is a long time and sometimes the ways of going about doing things should be reviewed and possibly changed , especially given the community around it. The fact that you have no respect for those around you says wonders. Remember , you uncontrolled barking fests that you allow to go on for hours face houses , houses that have kids , newborns and families. So yes , I have every right to come to whatever conclusion I want about the endless pestering and disturbance that radiates from your kennels. If people would like proof , I have it recorded also.

I live in Gary, IN and I drive my pets to them. They took the time when others wouldn’t and I will always be loyal to them for that.

I've been taking my pets to Pet Vet Express for shots and basic care since leaving another vet I'd been with for a long time. I have had nothing but good experiences there. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the facility clean, and the prices are great. Since they are a walk-in facility, I would suggest calling before you go - just to be sure they aren't in the middle of a mad rush of clients. I've never had to wait long despite the fact that they don't take appointments. It's budget-friendly and convenient and I like that the parent business, Plum Creek Regional Animal Medical Center is available should any of my pets need more than their yearly shots and check-ups.

We used to take our dog Sox to a different vet who we felt was in it for the money and not for the care of our furry family member. My sister told me about Plum Creek Regional Animal Medical Center, so we figured we'd give it a try and LOVED it! The vets showed care and compassion for both our pet and us! At the other vets office our dog would go crazy and bark all the time and wouldn't sit still. At Plum Creek she is so calm and collected and we've never seen her that way. The vets there are awesome when giving care for our pet. They explain the process(es) in which they will be performing on our pet before and how it will make her feel afterwards! That shows me they aren't only in it for the money. I will NEVER leave Plum Creek as long as we own pets!

I used to bring my animals here and was never happy with their service. They're always too busy for you and always say they are Short Staffed, which is just unacceptable. They OVER charge you and literally bleed you for money! They’re also incredibly rude and unprofessional. They’re facility is run down and not well maintained or well managed-you'd think they'd put some of the money they bleed you for back into their facility and into more professional staff. Never handled my animals well, always stressed them out more than necessary and were too aggressive with them. Never seemed like they truly cared about TRULY helping my animals. I've found a much better clinic that handle my animals with MUCH more care, have FAIR pricing, and mainly they are much more professional and educated. Very dissatisfied and I highly suggest bringing you animals somewhere else.

My kitty was dying. I grabbed a blanket and rushed to my veterinarian telling Midsy everything would be O.K. My veterinarian was at a seminar and time was of the essence. I drove as fast as allowed to Plum Creek. I was taken care of immediately even though Midsy had never been a patient. Dr. Norby was fairly certain we were dealing with FIP. I was beside myself. Midsy was the sweetest kitty - only two years old. Dr. Norby went over all the possibilities and spent so much time with us even doing a sonogram. Weighing the possibilities we made Midsy's last minutes more comfortable as I stayed with her. The staff was very supportive. I could not have asked for a more compassionate and professional veterinarian.

I have to say that overall the customer service here was very nice. I have taken my animals there several times and have no complaints. There are definitely cheaper alternatives, but the cleanliness, professionalism and "down to earthedness (not a word I know)" is refreshing and will have me coming back. An extra bonus is that they offer fresh vegetables and herbs for sale when they are in season that the grow on their farm. I have went back a few times just for the fresh produce at reasonable prices. Their selections of fall vegetables and gourds was great! They may be called Plum Creek, but they are just peachy in my book.
