They may be a little more expensive than some other animal hospitals/ vets in area, but worth it for knowledge of Doctors (especially Dr. Marras (spelling?). She won't run up bill on unnecessary tests and such. She is open, honest and great to deal with!

I especially want to thank Megan for reaching out to me after we were told we couldn’t get his paw prints. SLOW AND EXPENSIVE! Some emergency hospital! Took 2 hours for a check up and some shots when my dog was sick. The whole staff was laughing around in the back while my dog was in pain. Any other animal clinic will be faster and cheaper.

This is unfortunately our second emergency vet visit. However, I cannot say enough spectacular things about this place. The staff is absolutely exceptional in every aspect. I brought my 3 year old lab in with what I thought was a reaction to a vaccine. After a full examination by Dr. Cameron Kindra I was beyond amazed. He pinpointed the issue immediately and was right on. It’s a bizarre issue of cold tail (who would have known by literally being hosed off in the driveway to remove dirt/poop from a roll in the woods). He was in extreme pain and Dr. Kindra was calm, kind and patient. I was a train wreck and extremely emotional. He explained everything for his after care plan and medication in detail. We left and Beau was much more relaxed and the pain had eased because of the medication that was administered. I was unbelievably relieved and thrilled with every aspect of our visit. I also received a follow up phone call from Deena who was kind and compassionate. If you unfortunately ever have a need to make an emergency vet trip this is the place to go for THE BEST POSSIBLE CARE!!!! Thank you Dundee Animal Hospital! Kristina, Don and Beau

Friendly staff but horrible Doctor. The doctor was very rude and pushed for unnecessary and expensive test. If your animal is in life threatening condition take them to the Randall road animal hospital not here where I lost my dog to "tests" and no help.

I called Dundee Animal Hospital on a Saturday morning because I was very concerned about my dog. The staff was extremely kind and arranged for me to see Dr. Lathrop that very afternoon. My dog, Lana, is a rescue and is very wary of strangers, but Dr. Lathrop's warm demeanor put Lana immediately at ease. Dr. Lathrop was extremely knowledgeable about Lana's condition, and was able to prescribe a regimen to keep my dog happy and healthy. I highly recommend Dundee Animal Hospital - you won't be disappointed!

Amazing service provided by people that really care. My usual vet couldn't or wouldn't get my cat who had been a patient for 15 years in for an emergency appointment during normal working hours. Even after I explained that I thought the cat was gravely ill. I called Dundee Animal Hospital and they got the cat in within a half hour. The cat was gravely ill and was euthanized. I was so relieved to have been able to provide a humane ending for my cat. I have found a new veterinarian for all my future pet care.

I brought my dog to this place for bloat he was a strong healthy 4 year old pure bred Great Dane . The doctor from the USSR was more interested in about the money than saving my dogs life. My 10 year old son witnessed this. He wanted 4000-6000 to preform the operation but would agree to 2000 up front I had 1500 that's all the money I had and offered the other 500 on Friday but he wanted 2000 up front . We were 500 away from saving my dogs life and my children and our family from heart break. He said he could try and tube him and if that worked it would be like winning the lottery. He said that was between 700-1000 and then if that fixed is stomach we can do the stomach staple as an elective procedure and that would be 800 and he would be fine same operation just non emergency and way less. How is that right. Needless to say it did not work and my son begged for the life of jos friend that fell on deaf ears. Sad thing is as I write this I now have the 4000 such is life. Our buddy IKE is now dead my children are heart broken. The only nice thing I could say is the Vet tech cried with us and comforted My son and my self. His remains will be returned to us in two weeks and I will never step foot in that place ever again.

This place was amazing, just took my dog there and it couldn't of gone any better. Went above and beyond what I expected. My dog is my pride and joy and the kind of my castle so for me to say I'll gladly take him there again means a lot. Quick and honest, didn't force any unnecessary tests and treated my dog like their own. Easy location to find beyond friendly staff, made my night and I can sleep with ease and so can my pup.

Came in super late because my dog was panting and shaking and I was petrified. They saw me so quickly and the doctor was SO kind. My dog fell in love with him and that exam went so well. They diagnosed her and gave me a treatment plan that I could afford and now my baby is doing just fine. I love my current vet but after this visit I am switching to Dundee! Could not obtain a proper diagnosis during a 2mth period while a second opinion delivered an answer during one single examination. Dundee Animal Hospital has been my go to vet for years! I love the care they take with my dogs and most importantly, me. I currently have three dogs who go there exclusively, but they won my heart forever when when lost our first family dog. We have had some doggy health issues that have been professionally and quickly addressed. They never make me feel like a hysterical owner or neurotic in any way! There are animal hospitals closer to me, but I would never take my furry babies anywhere else!

All the paperwork work was done ahead of time so we wouldn't have to wait in the lobby after the procedure. I usually take my dog to VSC in Buffalo Grove because when has a lot going on and he's a senior dog. Today I had an emergency with my dog around 4am and took him here bc it's closer. When I arrived Dr. Gurevich and Dr. Kinda ( along with a super nice young woman , I don't know what her role was) and I felt very confident they had their absolute best interest for him. If he didn't have so much going on that needed special equipment I'd do all my general appointments for my dog here - I'll for sure bring my other dog to them .

My friend with a pup close in age to ours recommended this place HIGHLY. After going to Animal Care Clinic for a while (which I truly had a great experience at) our sweet girl Caribou just had too persistent of digestion issues. We had gotten stool samples, anti-diarrhea meds, and special diets from our old vet but no improvement. I decided to give Dundee Animal Hospital a try because my friend said they were great about individual attention and they were extremely caring and good at following up. They impressed me from the first visit and haven't stopped impressing me. Dr. Kelly Cavanough was amazing with my dog and me right from the start. She gave her a very thorough exam, had read through her previous history enough to know how many days she was on her previous meds (WOW) and was so patient with all my questions. We did another stool test and began treatment right away. I got $40 off with their online coupon for being a new customer, and my friend got $20 to her account for recommending me (bonus!!). The prices are definitely higher than Animal Care Clinic, but you truly get what you pay for. It is a totally different experience. It turns out Caribou had a parasite and so we picked up some more meds. I received a very kind follow up call from Dr. Cavanough to make sure I understood the new meds and to see how she was doing. Everything about this place is fantastic. It's clean, smells nice, free dog bandanas, the reception staff are all so professional and nice, and the vets are clearly top notch. I can't say enough good things about Dundee Animal Hospital. Thank you for really looking out for our furry friends!

Really really helpful quality vet here, open 24hrs even on holidays, for its was thanksgiving night when i had to go here on account my personal vet (who also cares for my horses) was not open this night , i was in need of a vwt and called around and found these wonderful folks , so caring so understanding, see i had to send my Best Friend to Heaven that night and these folks were there for my guy (12yr German shepherd, Ali Von Huas Nicholas) and me !!!!! I am still wondering what made me go to Dundee animal clinic over my regular one . Dr Kirsten talks too much but doesn’t really have a definitive answer to any question . He made me believe that my previous clinic wasn’t doing the right treatment for my dog and as usual offered me to do the x rays .i had called the clinic two times in advance to make sure they have the x rays from my previous clinic , but obviously they won’t want that as they make real money out of xrays . I actually believed him . He came back with the exact same treatment as my previous clinic was doing which he thought wasn’t right ! Interesting part is him getting all defensive and offended with my questions and constantly telling me that he doesn’t have a definitive answer . He spent more time explaining my own dog’s inside body and organs while going over the x rays (which was at all not needed) than the actual issue . I had to interrupt and ask him - WHAT’ S THE ISSUE! I am really disappointed and never ever regretted going to any place this much in my life . Very expensive exam as compared to any other clinic I have been to including VCA. Total waste of time and money . Teach your vets not to lie to your customers and trap them just to make some extra bucks.

My dog was very sick on a Sunday morning, so I took her to the Dundee Animal Hospital, which is open 24 hours. The vet saw her immediately and prescribed medication for her illness. I highly recommend this animal hospital, and would take my dog (or cat) to them again. They also have a separate entrance for exotic pets. If I were not extremely happy with my local animal hospital, I would go to the Dundee Animal Hospital on a regular basis.

This place told me that payment plan is not available to anybody. But they offered it to someone while I was paying my bill and ask if i can avail that payment plan, too. And they said NO. And I made a deposit the other lady didn't and my bill is way higher than hers. If its NO, its NO to everyone. I am sorry but you where wrong about my dog, too that you where pressuring me to get him euthanize on the 2nd day of getting there. And this is the 3rd time this place have misdiagnose my dogs. But thanks for all the help with my puppy.

We have been taking our pets to the Algonquin and Dundee locations for almost 15 years. The staff are always friendly and go above and beyond for us! Dr. O'Brien is our favorite vet. She is the cat charmer!

Went for a rabies shot, n they did every test possible without asking my authorization $300 later horrible to take advantage of someone's kindness!
