I love taking my dog here. The hours are really convenient since i work 9-5 during the week so the late hours are very helpful. I also appreciate the friendly staff and the prices are fair. I never feel like i overpayed for a visit and my dog loves going there as well.

Have been a long time client with multiple animals even prior to the expansion and addition of multiple new veterinarians. I appreciated their small town feel, however that seemed to dissipate after their expansion and with all their accreditations their fees seemed to increase as well. In the past they were always a place I would recommend, however recent events have tainted my opinion of the practice.

We brought our sick cat as a walk-in and the staff was so amazing they took us right on the spot despite their busy schedule. Although our lil guy had to stay for a full week we go phone calls everyday on his progress. We walked in unannounced to see our lil guy and the staff, again, was VERY helpful, put us right in a room to visit, and told us we could stay as long as we’d like. Dr. even came in on his days off to check on him and call us with updates. We are so so pleased with the love and care our lil guy, Chase, was provided. ♥️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 star rating

When shopping for a new vet, I was surprised to find a great one right in my neighborhood. The staff is friendly and always in a great positive mood. The facility is clean and well kept. The prices are reasonable. Everyone there was so caring when I brought my sick American Bombay in, it was as if he was their own pet. I was crushed when I found out he had feline diabetes and had to take insulin. Dr Wahl was the greatest. I never thought a vet would be so caring and compassionate. He helped me to understand it wasn't the end of the world. They kept Denny for two nights and immediately he started to get better. When I went back to pick him up Dr. Wahl explained what changes needed to be made for his care and walked me through the different things I needed to do for my little buddy. He even watched me give him his first shot to make sure I wasn't too nervous and did it properly. He then went on to explain what to expect in the future. Dr. Wahl's knowledge and expertise made me more comfortable about the situation. I didn't feel like I was on my own. I felt like I had a team of professionals in my corner the whole time and I still do. My little guy who I thought wasn't going to make it is now back to normal and living life just like he used to. I believe I found a vet for life. Thanks guys, you're the greatest!

Finding a new vet is never easy. Based on reviews I decided to go with Avenue Animal Hospital. I made an appointment for my cat with Dr. Mottel. Although I was very upset my cat was diagnosed with diabetes, I couldn't be happier with the care he has provided. Dr. Mottel explains everything. He is very down to earth and you can tell he really cares about how both you and your pet feel. He will spend extra time to make sure you understand everything and feel comfortable. I have never felt like he was trying to "rip me off" like some vets do. He seriously cares about the pets he cares for. He answers calls in a timely manner and never rushes you. The staff in the office are also great. They are all so friendly. Everyone seems so devoted to what they do. I highly recommend Avenue Animal Hospital!

One of the best around in my opinion, from the receptionist to the techs, they are all extremely helpful and compassionate toward animals. I have seen 2 different vets there and both were excellent, not only did they both walk me thru everything and every option but they genuinely cared. I have paid a lot more money at other places and had a lesser experience. If you love and care for your pet, this is definitely the place to go for their well-being.

I cannot explain in words how incredible the team at Avenue Animal Hospital is! Our sweet Doberman puppy, Justice, was born with congential kidney failure. The team at Avenue helped us give her the best eight months possible. Our vet was Dr. Snell and she was phenomenal. Always ready to help, answer our hundreds of questions, and provide ideas and support even after hours when our girl was struggling. The whole technician and client care team are INCREDIBLE and everyone at Avenue now truly feels like family. My husband and I adopted two cats from PAWS. We were given the opportunity to have a free Vet visit for each of the cats. It was our first visit to Avenue Animal Hospital. The facility is welcoming and cheery. The staff is cordial and professional. The assistants were thorough, even before the doctors came in. The Veternarians were very professional and thorough as well. We received a welcoming card in the mail and emails welcoming us and inviting us to download their app. We will be contacting them whenever our cats need care. It is a unique hospital where everyone cares.

Today was our first time here. Dr. Wahl is the nicest Veterinarian we have ever encountered. He truly loves dogs. Took both our Boston Terrier & our rescue Schnauzer for various shots, exams & blood work. They do all labs on premises, and give you immediate results. Yes, the fees are higher than I have paid at other places, but we were never a bit rushed. In fact, the employees spent one hour with my 2 dogs. No waiting, either! And only one mile from my house. Just the compassion aspect alone was worth the extra $100 bux! And the new facility is "state of the art"!! So glad we read the reviews & decided to switch over from our previous Vet in Lemont.

My dog was given a thorough examination. The vet recommended a new treatment for allergies, and a suggestion regarding food. My dog usually does not visiting the vet. She tends to try to hide and shake, Not this time! They are wonderful! Plus, the new medicine is working!!!

We've been going to Avenue Animal Hospital for almost 12 years and couldn't think of going anywhere else. Dr. Wahl is the absolute kindest doc and has been with us through thick and thin with 5 pets. He and the entire staff and all the doctors at Avenue have always treated our furry family with the best care and always spend as much time with us as we need to understand everything that's happening with our pets' medical treatment. As an "overprotective" and worrying pet parent, they've never gotten annoyed with all my questions and concerns. They are all just the best people around, couldn't ask for better vet care ever. Just wanted to add in one more thing about this staff.... we recently lost our Irish Setter after a 14 month battle with cancer. Not only was the staff of Avenue with us through everything, they made the best recommendations for her care. Upon her passing we received a condolence card signed with personal notes from every member of the staff. This meant so much to me and my family, we were never alone through this tough time. We just love our Avenue family.

Last week my husband took our dog in for a routine visit and received excellent service from the veterinarian and the tech. Unfortunately the overall visit did not go great. When my husband arrived he asked for a price on the services for the visit and was quoted. After seeing the vet more tests were ordered than expected but when my husband asked he was told there would not be any additional charges. When the visit was finished he went to check out and was asked to pay over $150 more than originally quoted. He requested information about a payment plan and was told by the receptionist our customers don't need payment plans and we don't do that. He had no problem paying the bill but believes communicating prices is important. The rude tone of the receptionist was also unnecessary.

Oct 10th,2019...I had to make the decision to say Goodbye to my baby suffering from CHF.As I reached THE AVENUE receptionist,and explained what I needed, I could hear the softness and warmth in her voice. There was compassion on the other end of this phone I held in my hand. I went in that afternoon, I was met at the door and escorted back into a private room where we could spend some alone time with Tronney. The Tech went over everything with us, but told us there no rush... Take all the time we needed. Just to knock on the door when we were ready. When the Vet came in, there was the same personal experience. Compassion, heartwarming, soft spoken, you could tell she felt your pain and sorrow.In my arms I held my little man and told him over and over how much his Mommy loved him. My heart broke into that day... But, I didn't have to face a waiting room full of patience, they quietly escorted me out their back entrance. If I could give THE AVENUE in Tinley Park, Illinois 50 stars, I truely would !! That day was a Major hearbreaking day for me, but the Personal experience that I received through the Staff it made it alittle easier for me. Thank you so much for Not Rushing me... Giving me that extra time to say my Final Goodbyes to my beloved baby Tronney Sance .

Dr Wahl has spayed/neutered over 2000 gryhds for us. He keeps his prices to the bare minium to help our wonderful Gryhds. Every person that I've sent his way, has NOTHING but the best to say about he and his staff. I travel 2 hours for his services. Well worth the ride!!! Today my family and I, unfortunately, had to put down our dog Lilly (unexpectedly) as a family of 6, we weren't all together when we heard the news… It was around 1:15 PM when they told us and they had already “closed” 15 minutes prior to that at 1 PM. We wanted everyone in the family to be able to say goodbye and ALL of the staff stayed until around 2:30-3:00 PM until everyone in the family was able to get there and say their goodbye’s. I’ve never reviewed a business online in my life, but because of the unbelievable hospitality, they showed my family during this sad time… I felt compelled to do so (you’ll probably see this same review on every review site that exist because I can’t thank them enough so this is the only way I can) We all want vets that we can trust when it comes to the care of our pets, so if you’re looking for one… I can say with 100% certainty that you’ll be in good hands with Avenue. Thank you again to all of the staff that stayed behind with us... you really made a difficult situation much easier, and my family and I will always be grateful. Thanks again!

What a great experience I had when I brought my german shepard in for nail trim and clean his ears. I also asked them to check his hips as he was not playing as usual. Everyone from the front desk to the doctor really care about your animal and also that you understand everything that will be done. I like that they give you an estimate before starting
