We've seen two vets here. The one that comes out to see the large animals is great and actually cares about the animals, I think he's the owner. But then there's the short women vet who is very condescending and could careless. We ended taking our dogs records and going to a different vet after my sister in law had an emergency situation with their dog and the short women vet didn't want to come in on a Saturday to see her dog after she had complications from the surgery they performed. They sent her home way too early and they had to bring her to a vet in meridian and ended up putting her down because of lack of care from this vet hospital. I will never recommend this vet again.

I think they love my puppy more than me! She is so reluctant to get in the car, but she loves when we pull up to the vet! I have also experienced their care with a neighbor dog that had a major accident and the staff and docs here were amazing!

Thank you for saving my dog! They got us right in even though we are from out of town. Dr. Varialle was very helpful and patient with our out who needed to “pass the buck”. They were open and available even on a holiday. We appreciate it! They are a bit pricy compared to our vet at home which is why they only get 4 stars, otherwise I am satisfied with the care we received

We recently relocated to the area from Meridian where we used the same Veterinarian for over 20 years and wanted a clinic that provided the level of care we were used to. Snake river in Fruitland more than filled the need. The staff are very helpful and they provide all the services we need for 2 senior dogs.

These people are great. They take great care of our fur babies. Our whole family takes their pets here. My baby was overweight when I inherited him and they have been great. I bring him in to weigh him and make sure we are staying on track. He is doing great. Much more active and so much healthier.

I called them in a crisis my dog was actively dying worsening after seeing another vet on Sunday when we explained our crisis we had a 1030 appt, but by 0900 it was clear she wouldn’t last long, I explained how I only wanted her to have dignity and peace, they allowed us to come early she struggled and took her last breath once we got there but she did receive assist in the final seconds. The receptionist was so compassionate and kind, the vet recognized my beloved companion was close and acted to get medication and the vet tech apologized with heart felt kindness. I’m devestated I’ve lost my best friend but thankful for the kindness we received.

I took our new little "Toby" (Poochon) for his first check up and shots/deworming. He is 9 weeks and doing just great! The staff at Snake River Veterinary Center were all very friendly and made both Toby and myself at home. I went with the puppy plan which takes care on all visits, shots for first year. Since I've adopted my fur baby at age 8 weeks I have entrusted her care with the staff at Snake River Vet Center. I would not trust her health care with anyone else. When she was spayed, they took great care of her and kept me updated. I even take her there to trim her nails. Multiple animal visits. The doctors are very versatile and intelligent, not just educated. Fast thinking and extremely caring. Because they are the vet of choice by many, it only makes sense they may have to at times turn people away which is logical and shows good judgment. I had to go somewhere else once and was sad but can't understand how someone could blame a vets office because they were absolutely too busy to see their animal. A+++ Myself and the animals are very thankful. :)

Ten years of bringing my pets to this Vet. Always good care until recently. on our recent emergency visit the staff was cold, uncaring, and unhelpful to my wife who was trying to bring two dogs in on an emergency. Only concern by this office was cost of care even though I have always paid my bill. No work at all on my animals until costs were arranged or paid. It was a terrible experience and I am left feeling betrayed by a vet we thought we knew. Hurts me to say this but this business is no longer a safe place for your pets.

I am blown away at the kindness from everyone at SRCV! We have been in a couple times for little checks here and there but last week we had to put our loving dog to sleep and it was extremely difficult, the whole staff was very sweet and one of the gals gave me the most loving hug right when I needed it the most. And we just had to take our puppy in and Dr Matsuura went above and beyond helping our sweet pup. The staff gave us a card with our late dogs paw print and it means so much that they thought of us in our hard time. I could not recommend this office more. Everyone is so helpful and just great to work with! Thank you so much!

I can’t begin to tell you how amazing these guys are from the staff in front all the way to the vets! They care so deeply about the animals! I was having a hard time with my dog emotionally and the vet sat with me and just listened to me, which I can’t thank her enough! They have gone great thanks to try and help my animals and I wouldn’t trust anyone else! The building itself is so cute with a wrap around porch! The have grass in front as well for your animals! I would say there prices are more than fair as well. It’s also convenient to get to because it’s right on the road. Thank you snake river for everything you have done and more for my dog shy I can’t thank you enough. Please if you want help for your dog this is the place to go!!!

My horse got goofy in the trailer and split his face open out of town. Once in town I called them and they immediately let me bring him in. They scrubbed it and stitched him up. They kept me calm as well. The vet that took care of him was the best vet I have had the privilege of meeting . He answered my questions without making me feel bad for asking. The office staff stayed late for me, so I could get to the bank. These are the nicest group of people. I would trust them with all of my animals needs. The bill was below what I expected especially for emergency care.

I took some newborn kittens in distress there on 5/6/2019 thinking they would help. We live in Notus and believe in supporting local businesses. The receptionist was cold and standoffish and refused to check the kittens despite my concern. I also took them to a vet in Caldwell but would have to wait on an appointment. Desperate, I didn't know where else to go, so I ended up driving to West Vet where my concerns were taken seriously and the kittens were treated by kind, compassion staff. I will NEVER go back to Snake River Vet!

We love Dr. Ewing, we had a very hard decision to make about 6 weeks ago regarding our 14 year old teacup chihuahua Honey. Dr. Ewing was so compassionate and treated us like we were family. The staff that stayed after hours treated us the same way. We won't take our other chihuahua Sugar anywhere else

They let us come directly in when our old girl went down and we had to allow her to go. They gave her pain meds so that while she was waiting for the vet, she could be comfortable. In the end it was her time and they were wonderful with her and for us. The amount to let her go and have her cremated was barely $100. Good deal! Great and caring staff!

I brought my popping in on Wednesday morning. They said there was no doubt it was Parvo. The diagnosis was either hospital care or a take-home care kit. I elected for the take-home kit they were very nice and helped us completely. Explained everything I needed to know to do it myself. Within two days my puppy was completely cured. They bent over backwards to help me in every way. Thank you for saving our little Chloe

I absolutly DO NOT recommend this place! In fact, I’ll be leaving this review in multiple places in hopes that it will save someone else from what we’ve dealt with at this establishment and being “raked over the coals” multiple times. We had been customers at this veterinary office for YEARS up until recently. There have been and still great people that work there and we know other people who are still customers there and probably always will be. But, we’ve decided to take our business elsewhere due to the HIGHLY unprofessional and rude behavior that the staff has started exhibiting on a regular basis. We’ve spent thousands of dollars here and hundreds of it was unnecessary. We’ve caught the owner himself running unneeded tests and blood work so he could slap us with a bill reaching almost $500 dollars after not even being in the office for two hours. We also used to spend hundrends of dollars on prescriptions here each month until we caught a clue and started getting them from a ACUTAL Pharmacy which cut our prescription bill in half and then some. I’ve also had a few instances now that I can’t even receive a return call from the Office Manager. Also, they’ve went through several receptionists that don’t have great customer service skills or are just rude in general and prefer to talk over you rather then listen to what you have to say. It seems like their only polite when they can get your money. We use to buy everything here, including $100 forty pound bag of dog food every couple months among other things. But, that doesn’t mean anything to them... customers are what make a business and that relationship with some of their customers isn’t important to this business at all. There have been changes in management over the last couple years. There have been some amazing people that have worked here and there are some kind hearted people that still work here which is why I’m listing names because someone who has done nothing wrong doesn’t deserve to pay for the unprofessional and down right rude behavior by those listed below. *Dr. Varriale - Owner/Veterinarian *Dr. Ewing - Veterinarian *Amy - Office Manager *Sue - Receptionist - Carlie M.

Terrible place. I had an emergency and called their emergency number numerous times and left messages like it told me to and never got a response. They claim to respond within 15 minutes. These people do not care about their customers or the patients. They are also by far the most expensive place around this area and they don't do anything as well as other local providers do and they don't even offer any services that others offer to justify their insane prices. $75 dollars for a shot here and only $15 at All Creatures Veterinary office in New Plymouth. This place is terrible and will never see my pets again.

*Their response to my review is a far cry from what actually happened and its evident in the reviews others are leaving as well. I only wanted them to look at it and there was no mention of migratory laws or anything even remotely close to that. Good try but no cigar. Thanks for trying to redeem yourself but you just made your company look worse. * I called this morning and spoke with the receptionist and asked if I could bring a duck in that I had saved off the highway that looked she had been hit but was still coherent. I told her that I just wanted to make sure she died with dignity and passed away in peace. She asked the doctor and came back and said " Sorry, the doctor says we don't do wild animals " and that the doctor said to call fish and game. This was disappointing to say the least but it led me to Eastern Oregon Animal Health in Ontario. I took the duck to Eastern Oregon Animal Health and Stacey immediately took the duck and said they would do everything they could to help and even said they would release her into the pond behind their office if she was able to be saved and was well enough. The moral of the story: Doing the right thing isn't always the easy thing. I was late for a meeting in Ontario when I drove past the duck laying in the road with it's eyes open. It wasn't the easy thing to do, but I knew I had to get it and at least let it rest in peace verses it getting run over by a car. If you are reading this and you are the Vet at Snake River, know that I am a dedicated dog rescuer as well as my mother and sister and we are in the process of looking for a new vet in the area for our 8 dogs. You had an opportunity to earn business of multiple families and you blew it. Your lack of compassion shows a level of inhumanity that should never be a trait of a Veterinarian that actually cares about animals.
