I love my dog more than I love most of my family members. One time my dog got ran over by a bicycle. I was more than upset and really felt bad. They patched up my dog and made her as good as new! I've gone here for anything my dog needs. I see no need to take my dog anywhere else. The staff are super nice and they greet my dog with the same love I have for it. I also took my cat here. I hate my cat, but it kills mice so I keep it. They removed a thing off its back and it hunts mice better than ever. They can take care of and fix any animal. They just can't fix my hatred of the cat.

I would absolutely recommend taking animals to the vets in this clinic. They met us for an emergency on a day that they were closed, called to give us updates and called to get updates after our dog came home. The vet also gave us his personal story, concern and opinion on our dogs situation to help us make decisions. The vet techs are very friendly and they took great care of my dog while he was in, they could tell me things about his personality and called him by his name. They also allowed us to visit him while he was staying there as many times a day as we wanted- during open hours. We recently had to put him down due to his suffering and the staff was incredibly friendly and compassionate to my family. We later got a simple sympathy card in the mail from the office the regarding the passing of our 13 year old dog and even though it maybe took them 30 seconds to drop it into the mail it meant a LOT to me and my family.

Our poor dog broke his leg and they were able to fit us in when we needed it. The wait wasn't long, considering we were an emergency add on that day. The staff was lovely and the doctor was terrific. He explained all our options and they did a fantastic job caring for our sweet dog. They were conscious of our concerns of cost and worked with us to find the right solution for our family. If we ever have problems or concerns again, we know they will take good care of us, just as they have done in the past. We would recommend Sawtooth Veterinary Hospital to anyone!

My dog has had an aural hematoma twice. I took him in a few years ago for the first one. Dr. Shoebocker did an amazing job for 180 bucks. They have hired a new lady vet since then and she is about a joke. My dog had another one 3 months ago 400 bucks and it came back less than a week after the stitches were removed. She said to bring him back so my wife did. She put a drain tube in and handed him back with serious attitude. No care instructions no medication. She wrapped it so tightly that it cut his circulation off. His ear started to rip where the wrap and tape were digging in. So I took him to another vet he could not understand why she did what she did. He fixed it for 25 bucks. Dr. Shoebocker is amazing beware of the new lady vet she is a hack.

I've been using this clinic for 5 years, they didn't have a problem when asked not to use ACE on my boxer when spayed. My previous vet made a huge issue about the request then treated me terrible afterwards. Dr. Green is fantastic, he repaired my pit bull's torn acl 5 years ago and she's still running around like a puppy.

Great little very clinic. Always willing to work an animal in if they need to be seen, willing after hours emergency care, friendly efficient staff and reasonable prices. We initially picked them because we needed a vet in a hurry and they were closest to our location. We've stuck with them thanks to the quality of care. We only go elsewhere for our exciting pets since they don't treat snakes or anything here. All of our dogs and cats go to Sawtooth exclusively.

We took our new kitty in for a check up and the doc gave him a clean bill of health. We asked him about the dry skin and were told it’s getting better due to us providing better nutrition. 4 days later all 6 of us have ringworms. Not just a spot or two, it’s full arm, neck, face etc. When calling into the vet to see what to do for treatment on the cat they were very rude and unprofessional. Instead of taking ownership of the problem it became placement of blame that we were told. However if we were told why didn’t we receive the medication at his appointment not the day we call to complain. Frustrated!

Took my frenchie in for a check up since she had swallowed a bone whole. Staff was very nice and understanding. Vet treated us so Nicley and explained everything letting us know our pup needed surgery. Turns out the next morning my pup threw up the bone and didn’t need surgery anymore. Picked up our pup right away. They are very busy so you gotta wait a while to get attended but that says a lot!!!

My dog was fixed here a few days ago. Since I only got her spayed I haven't yet met the vets. The office was nice and clean and the back staff was very friendly. However, the front office staff are the most unfriendly ladies! This was my first time at this vet. No smiles, no thank you, felt I was"bothering" the lady who checked us in. When I picked my dog up in the afternoon the girl at the desk was the same way. Not friendly at all. Not a smile, she seemed to be annoyed with someone. When the girl in the back brought out my dog to me she was smiling and very friendly. To bad they aren't all as friendly. I wasn't dissatisfied with anything else, price was great. I was extremely nervous dropping her off it was after all a brand new clinic for us. The front staff sure did nothing to ease my worries. All I could hope for was the back staff was alot friendlier and nice to my baby, which they seemed to be!

Able to be billed and make payments. They did everything they could to keep our little 3 week old kitten alive after he was accidently Sat on. He had too much spine and brain damage. He did pass away but they let me and my boyfriend come see him before he passed. They kept him comfortable. Friendly caring staff.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Our older cat got sick and they have been monitoring him for the past 2 weeks to ensure that he is doing well enough to go home. Each time we visit him, the staff allow us to go back and see him, which has been nice. However, the clinic is often very busy, making it hard to ask questions. Another however, this may actually show how hardworking and great the clinic is.

I had a old dog that was having problems over the weekend. I called them first thing Monday and they got him in. His problems were so severe we had to put him down. We were treated with kindness and simpathy. I don't know of how the doctor could have done things better.

I brought my emotional support dog for PTSD in after he was struck by a truck, he died a few minutes after we got there and these heartless bastards wont release him to me till I pay 200$ for "lifesaving actions"!!! My dog is dead so what exactly did you do to earn 200$? This is so disgustingly wrong. Take your pets to someone who gives a damn. I took my dog here to get him neutered. The staff was very good. The kennels smelled a bit, but it appeared that a dog had just left an unpleasant surprise for the staff to clean up. They were doing so as I picked up my little guy. He was a bit tentative to come with us afterwards, but that was to be expected. He healed up well, and we are glad that they provided the service for a good price. Thanks guys and gals of Sawtoooth!

I have NEVER had a bad experience at Sawtooth Vet!! The staff has always gone above and beyond to help my "fur babies"!! When I moved to WA I drove down once a year to get services here because it was nice to take my dogs to a place that appreciated both them and me :) I am wondering if they are USDA (or CFIA) accredited veterinarians? Sure hope so as we are traveling and I need paperwork completed. I will miss you all once we travel too far to come back but I and my daughter have sincerely appreciated your expertise over the last 20+ years. And to date you are the only Vet I have gone to that provides those wonderful ID cards for my babies, making a border crossing very easy and simple :)

Went to take my dog in to get checked for a possibility of mange. When i showed up the two ladies at the desk were nice and greeted me with a smile and a "how can i help you!" One of the ladies who helped me mentioned that i would probably have to leave my dog there as both the doctors were in surgery. I told her that was not a problem as I was going to work anyways. After she checked my chart, she went back to the doctor. About 3 minutes later, her and another "nurse" i think, came out. The nurse came over to me and said "We're not going to see you." I said, okay, i can make an appointment, she replied back saying they weren't EVER going to see us again, and that we needed to find another vet. She said apparently the last time you were here, you were rude with the doctor. The last time i was there, i dropped my cat off at 8:00 am, as his third eyelid on both his eyes were extremely high up on his eyes. I then went to work, with the reassurance that the staff would follow up with me throughout the day and inform me what the doctor found. At 2:00 i still hadn't heard anything, so i called the clinic and they informed me that my cat was being seen by the doctor now and that the doctor would call me after everything was done. I thanked them and got off the phone. That was the last i heard from them. I NEVER received another phone call after that. I tried calling once at 5:30 PM in which nobody answered the phone. So i tried calling again at 7:00 PM, however the office was closed. I called the emergency number and left a voicemail for the doctor informing him that i never gave permission to keep my cat there overnight, and that i was told i would get a phone call for an update, but that never happened. I POLITELY asked if i could please be called back and if i could please pick up my cat. At 9:00 PM, i finally received a call back from the doctor informing me that he was on his way to the clinic to "check on some things anyways" and that i could stop by and pick up my cat. When i arrived, the doctor was completely rude and arrogant. I asked him what he thought it was, he never told him what it was, that just he had a slight fever. He gave me antibiotics along with wet cat food and told me what i needed to do. I grabbed my wallet to pay for the service and the doctor refused my payment. I told him i have no problem paying, i was only dissatisfied with the communication not being taken seriously, he replied back with "just take your cat and leave!" I then said, okay, thank you for looking at him. He replied back, "your cat probably has cancer!" UMMMM WHAT!!!! You didn't even take X-Rays or do any diagnosis to tell me my cat has cancer. I simply said thank you and left with my cat. If you are going to describe that as being rude, the only person who was rude, was the unprofessional doctor. That's okay, i will take my animals some place else and will never step foot in this clinic again. Oh!!!! And one more thing, after reading the reviews that people have EVERY RIGHT to do, and the responses from the doctors, you just solidified that yes, this clinic is extremely unprofessional and makes me feel so very happy that my animals will never be in their care again! Calling someone a deadbeat, blasting peoples financial bills, telling people their reviews are ridiculous is NOT a way to represent your business. Respect goes both ways! Also, my cat does not have cancer! Thanks for the WRONG diagnosis though! :)

MY AMAZING DOG LIL GUY NEVER GOT TO COME HOME AFTER EXPLORERATORY SURGERY THE CLINIC EMPLOYEES TOLD ME THAT I COULDN'T BE THERE WHEN THE DR. VET WAS TO DO THIS EXPLORERATORY SURGERY BECAUSE IT WAS A SATURDAY AND THEY WOULD SOON BE CLOSED AND THE DR. VET WOULDN'T BE DOING THE SURGERY UNTIL LATER THAT NIGHT AFTER HOURS... . I WAS TOLD LEAVE LIL GUY THERE AND I WILL BE KEPT UPDATED ON LIL GUYS PROGRESS I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO GO AND LEAVE LIL GUY THERE AS HE NEVER BEEN AWAY FROM HOME OVER NIGHT WITHOUT ANYONE WHO HE KNOWS BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE TO GO AND LEAVE LIL GUY THERE. SO I LOOKED AT LIL GUY AND PROMISED HIM MOMMY WAS COMING BACK TO GET HIM I BROKE DOWN AND STARTED TO CRY AND THEY LIL GUY LOOKS AT ME AND HIS BIG BROWN EYES STAIRING BACK AT ME WAGGING HIS TAIL AND HE LOOKED SO SCARED BUT WAS PUTTING ON A HAPPY FACE. I REACHED OVER AND GAVE LIL GUY A BIG TIGHT HUG FOR A FEW MINUTES LONGER THAN I THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK IN THE MORNING TO GET HIM. IT WAS BREAKING MY HEART TO HAVE TO LEAVE HIM THERE I TURNED TO THE VET DR. AND SAID PLEASE KEEP ME UPDATED ON LIL GUYS PROGRESS AND THE NURSES TOLD ME THAT I HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT THAT LIL GUY WAS IN THE BEST CARE AND I COULD CALL ANYTIME I WANTED TO KEEP UP-TO-DATE ON MY LIL GUY. THE FIRST TIME I CALLED WAS APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS AFTER I LEFT THE VET CLINIC IN JEROME IDAHO THE FRONT DESK LADY ANSWERED THE PHONE AND TOLD ME THAT THE VET DR. WAS DOING LIL GUYS EXPLORERATORY SURGERY RIGHT THEN AND I WOULD BE GETTING A CALL FROM TIME TO TIME LETTING ME NO HOW LIL GUY IS DOING. I ASKED IF I CAN COME PICK LIL GUY UP THAT NIGHT AND SHE SAID WAIT TO HEAR FROM THE DR. SO I WAITED UNTIL 9PM EXACTLY I CALLED THE VET BUT NO ONE ANSWERED BUT AT ABOUT 11PM OR SO I GOT A CALL FROM THE VET DR. HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS DONE WITH THE SURGERY BUT HE WAS NOT YET SOWN UP YET THEN THE VET DR. ASKED ME IF I JUST WANTED TO PUT LIL GUY DOWN BECAUSE HE WAS STILL UNDER ANISTESIA FROM THE SURGERY THE DR. SAID HE WAS NOT IN ANY KIND OF PAIN BUT HE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO FIX LIL GUY I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS COMING TO GET LIL GUY AND HE SAID NO I CAN'T BECAUSE LIL GUY IS STILL UNDER AND WOULD BE PROBABLY TIL EARLY MORNING HOURS AND THEN THE VET DR. TELLS ME THAT IF LIL GUY WAKES UP FROM THE SURGERY I COULD GET HIM THEN BUT THEN DR VET SAYS THAT I HAVE TO LEAVE LIL GUY THERE UNTIL MONDAY CUZ THE CLINIC WAS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS WELL TO MY SURPRISE LIL GUY NEVER WOKE UP FROM THE SURGERY BUT I WAS TOLD THAT HE WAS RECOVERING WELL AND I CAN PICK LIL GUY UP 9AM MONDAY MORNING I CALLED AT LEAST 100 TIMES AND EACH TIME I CALLED THEY WOULD SAY HE IS DOING WELL THEN AT A LIL AF 8AM MONDAY MO I GOT A CALL SAYING LIL GUY PASSED AWAY THAT MORNING AND THAT HE NEVER WOKE UP AFTER THE SURGERY. THE SURGERY WAS TO COST 976.00 AND I HAD TO PAY IT OFF BEFORE I CAN HAVE LIL GUYS REMAINS AND I ONLY HAVE TO PAY 355.00 AND NOW CAN PAY IT OFF IN PAYMENTS WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BABY BOY LIL GUY WHY DID HE DIE HE WAS NOT IN A DIEING ILLNESS

We took our cat in to be nutered over a year ago. Came back in good faith that they had done the job. Was informed by during the physical that he had never been nutered. I was the charged full price for our new visit. We just got home and took our female cat to another vet. Guess what she is pregnant because our male was never nutered now we will have to spend $500 for treatment for her. Called the vet and asked how they would right things. "What do you expect us to pay for it?" Yes I do! My actual response "Yes I do and if you are unwilling to helping will have to seek legal counsel" he left to speak with the owner and came back with "You better call your legal counsel because we are not speaking to you." TLDR Payed for services that did not get delivered on. Got told to get a lawyer because we don't care.

After going for years because there are only a few vets in Jerome and they are the closest, our family is VERY disappointed with Sawtooth. A few office staff members are friendly and nice but the majority are NOT. This includes a few of their vets. We took in our cat recently due to a dog attack causing severe trauma to the front leg late at night. It was after hours which I was happy to pay for. But have always been able to make payment arrangements. And have paid on time within a few months (like 2)!. Also, we were never notified of these changes, and had just had services (with payments) a few months prior to this incident. Our vet bills usually run anywhere from 550 to 900 . However, this time I was informed that payments were not acceptable and that I could go get a pay day loan (RIDICULOUS!) or they would keep our cat until I could pay the bill. They were VERY RUDE, and gave the impression that we could not afford to have our animals. Their reasoning, "other people don't pay their bills". Hmmmm? Let's see... NOT MY PROBLEM. We pay ours! I reccomend taking your animals somewhere else especially if you have children or a larger family. They have NO empathy for your situation or the trauma that your animals and family go through. It is bottom line driven, not family oriented, and poor communication at that. Personally, if doctors and health care workers should be held responsible for providing good care in reasonable timing and taking care of their patients and families w/o implying people are POOR! Or suggesting loan sharks as a logical option!. Vets should be held to the same ethical standards. Animals cannot speak for themselves, nor can they get jobs and pay their own bills! To sum this up we paid the bill, but will NEVER be using their services again.

Had to take our pom. in for a emergency, they were great. We didn't call or have appointment, we just showed up after another vet. referred us to them. They were awesome. The desk gal explained we would have to leave her and they would squeeze her in. We received a call about a hour later saying her paw was fractured and could they anesthetize her to set it and splint her. They did get her done by the end of the day with a little pink splint and meds for her. All the staff were friendly and professional at same time. I would recommend them to others. They're awesome.

They were able to come to our cat's rescue. During the weekend our cat was using the litter box too much. Upon investigating, we discovered some blood after he was sitting in the litter box for 10 minutes trying to pee. It is hard to find a good vet that is willing to take emergency visits for a reasonable price. There is no price tag for the love of your pets. They were very caring, skilled and professional. Our cat is back to his old antics now. Thank you Sawtooth Veterinary Hospital. Both of our cats will be going there for now on.

I am extremely unhappy with Sawtooth, I took my dog in to have porcupine quills removed from my dogs face and was told by the vet if I took her in after hours it would be about $200 but if I waited for office hours the next day it would be UNDER $100. I went in today they made me sign a paper stating they no longer take payments and payment was do that day which was fine my pup needed it. They made me leave saying it wouldn't be done until 5pm ish and they would call when she was awake. My husband called to make sure everything was going ok at 2 to be told she was awake and ready to go? Husband went to pick her up to have $150 bill which included a $40 boarding charge. It took 3hrs or less (we don't know when she actually woke up because we weren't called) I didn't even want to leave my dog and for 3hrs I didn't need to! Such a shame. The vets are amazing and the rest of the staff has gone downhill so badly. Used to be a wonderful place, so much so that we commuted great distances to continue having our pets seen here. Not impressed with the lack of services today and unprofessional attitude.

My dog was injured in Bend, OR and I had to get back to Denver so we were on the road dealing with the post surgery blues. She had a drain that had to be removed and I didn't feel confident doing it myself. I called Sawtooth Vet Hospital and they said to swing by and they would take care of it. An hour later we were driving through, popped in and within 5 minutes the drain was removed at no charge. Thanks so much for taking care of Penny, putting my mind at ease.

Needed to get my cat spayed. I was able to call and set up surgery for the very next day! They did a wonderful job; incision site was very clean and stitched well. My cat, who had never been out of our house before, or around anyone but our family, was obviously treated well. She bounced right back after surgery, and is a happy kitty. And I am a happy owner not having to hear an in heat cat every 2 weeks! Place was immaculately clean from what I could see/smell/hear. Front staff was polite in all of my dealings with them in person and over the phone. I would use this vet clinic again in a heartbeat!

Incredible. They cleaned/filed/pulled my dog's teeth for $125 and it was $180 total with blood panels done, antibiotics, painkillers, anesthesia, and 6 teeth pulled! Would highly recommend.

DO NOT GO HERE!! My dog went here to get fixed and i had to take her back because she popped a stitch and was bleeding. She had to stay the night to get fixed the next day, but i called them 8 times and was hung up on. My wife called and they said they lost our dog! Its an 80lbs dog! Go anywhere else but here. If i could give zero stars i would.

Great place to bring your fur babies to. My dad used this place and told my mom Rose Magoffin and I to give it a try. They are awesome with our dogs ages 1 years - 10 years old. I told my son about them as well and he takes his great Pyrenees ava there. The staff are the greatest & are so gentle with your companions. And I take my 16 years old cat dolly there now to. They where extremely gentle with my precious baby girl who is very scared at the drs. And they just got her calmed right down. I love you guys, your the best!!!

Sawtooth vet has been my go-to place for anything I need for these two. Just recently the little one to the left was hit by a car and in very rough shape. They gladly took a late night after-hours call to take her in and the very next day got her into surgery to wire her jaw back together. Great people who are very friendly to the animals and their owners.

Love all of the Veterinarians, the back office staff is wonderful too. Make sure you call in the morning (front office staff very helpful) however, the front office staff in the afternoon are very rude, wonder where they got their vet training? they act like you are bothering them, just remember call in the morning.
