Really upset with my last experience especially because normally Mountain View is great to me. I called in and asked how much would the bill be if I brought my pup in for an exam. My pup was feeling bad but then started to perk up so I wasn’t sure bringing him in right away was essential. Especially because I had a strict budget planned and could not afford a vet bill so if there was going to be a cost, I would have asked to talk to the vet to see if he thought the pup needed to come in. The front desk receptionist told me verbatim: we don’t do any kind of billing except for tests that are performed, but as far as any regular billing we don’t. And so I said to confirm, we’d be charged if he’d need a blood test or something else and not just for coming in? And she said yes After the exam they charged me 70 for the visit, I let her know that I was told there was no charge for a brief check up. They said I don’t know why someone would have told you that. Really frustrating that I spent my grocery money so they could take my dogs temperature

And for the one regarding a charge for an office visit i challenge you to find a vet that does not charge for an office visit. We have been with him for 30 years. Nothing but the very best of care.

Best vet experience ever. We had to put our dog of 16 years down after unfortunate circumstances. We never went to this vet before and they treated us as though we were family. During such a difficult time they cared for us, followed up and allowed us to feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. Our golden-doodle Mojo had a fairly large tumor on his eyelid. During the initial examination Dr. Ericson also found a second smaller growth in the other eyelid. In the past I had some bad experiences with other vets in the area but at The Mountain View Vet Clinic Dr. Ericson and his staff were so gentle and kind with Mojo and accommodating with me, the overprotective dog parent, that it totally put me at ease about the upcoming procedure. Mojos surgery was tricky but it turned out amazingly well.He healed quickly and the scars are not visible at all. Dr. Ericson is truly a master surgeon ( with great beside manners :) ) I could not be happier. If I ever need eyelid surgery I would go to Dr.Ericson myself if I could From now on I will only go to Dr. Ericson for my dogs healthcare needs.

This is the BEST Vet office I have EVER been to! Dr. Bob, his office ladies, Vet techs, and Dr. Rider are all wonderful! My mom and I have been taking our dogs there for several years now and Dr. Bob, and his staff, have ALWAYS treated us with kindness. They bend over backwards to get you right in as well! I called last night after 9 PM and left a message that my dog had a serious eye condition that I had just noticed when I got home from work. They called me back at 7:35 this morning and got my dog right in!! I just dropped her off and by 11 Am she had been seen. And Dr. Bob was busy doing surgeries all day! Outstanding people!! Well worth the money. And they take Care Credit too! UPDATE: Since I wrote this post I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Rider. She is an exceptionally kind and warm person, with an excellent ability to diagnose. I like her as much as Dr. Bob, and that is saying a lot. On the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, she made time for me to bring my other dog in who was having breathing problems. They are a VERY busy office, but Dr. Rider made time for me and my dog, and btw this has happened before. They always get me in, even last minute, if they can. Plus Dr. Rider, and Dr. Bob too, have called me at home to discuss my dog's conditions. These are exceptional People. I can not say that enough. And Erin has been very kind to me as well.

I wish I could choose a gazillioin stars and not just five! This Pet Health Center is the Jewel in the Crown of Hayden. I recently moved to Idaho with a senior dog who has needs for health supervision. Upon arrival one of my priorities was to find a "new" Vet. Mountain View Veterinary was not my first stop, but after finding them it will definetely be my last. From the first time I called the clinic I knew I was in great hands with Erin. She is compitent, kind and gifted in knowing when your pet should be seen. After listening to me tell her symptoms my dog was presenting, she had me drop him off that day. Had she not done so, my newly diagnosed Diabetic boy would have been worse off. Once a week for over a month we would bring him in for blood sugar checks, Assistants Judy and Kylee are amazing with their patience and skills. They along with Tytan who was instrumental in cleaning my dogs teeth are proficient, easy to talk with and never bothered from questions posesd. The entire staff is thoughtful and makes our dog feel comforted which in return makes us feel at ease. I cannot say enough about Dr. Rider who to us will always remain second to none. She is compassionate, considerate, qualified and an expert in her field. Along side Dr. Erickson they are an accomplished and experienced duo. Look no further. Take it from me who has had several pets and peticular about their care. You will not regret for one moment taking your pet here.
