For every bad visit, we’ve had a great one too. They took in our cat super last minute and monitored him all day all because of an issue he was having and all for just the price of one visit. I am very appreciative of their last-minute accommodations in that way (because other vet offices in the area were not willing to do so). However, Our dog was dewormed several times within a short period of time for no reason. They have given us medications that have made our animals' problems worse (my cat was literally pooping all over the house and very sick because of a medication). I have felt a little like they want to order unnecessary tests for our animals sometimes. I will say that when I expressed these grievances, they were very nice about it and have been much better since. They’re a tiny bit more pricey than some other places around. Nice facilities though.

We LOVE Cedar Ridge and all of the wonderful staff. Dr. Hanson is the best and most caring vet we have ever met. He is great at his job and does all he can to help you and your animal; he genuinely cares. Our dog just had surgery there a few days ago, which Dr. Hanson preformed, and they took such great care of him and were incredibly helpful in working out the financial details of it with us. The techs answered all of our questions, no matter how irrational or crazy, with such kindness and care. We haven't had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Gunderson yet, but we're sure he is just as amazing as the rest of them! They truly are an amazing clinic, we HIGHLY recommend them for pet care. Seriously they are the best.

We just moved here and needed a new vet so we ended up here. We had an appointment at 4:20 and showed up a few minutes early to fill out the new customer paperwork. We weren't taken to a room until 4:40 and then the vet didn't show up until close to 5 to actually administer the shots and do an examination on her stomach and why it was changing color. After 40 minutes of waiting on what should have been a 15 minute appointment total, I got an "I think it's her natural color she's turning in to." (I don't believe that because our second puppy is now changing colors). Throughout the stay, all of the staff kept trying to get us to add on items that were not necessary in order to bring up our total. Very unprofessional for a vet. I got charged close to $80 for 2 shots and an "I think." The vet was very unimpressive and I am not pleased with the cost, the wait time, or the answers I got. I will not be returning.

Excellent staff and services. We have brought our dog here for check ups and shots. The staff is always friendly and come out to see our dog and give her treats. The vets and techs always explained the ins and outs of things and even make suggestions over the phone which has saved me more than one trip in.

They're a great animal clinic! The staff are super friendly, and the vets are very kind and genuine. They're upfront and reasonable with their prices too, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, I'd recommend them any day. They took really good care of my GSD boy. I'm grateful to have an awesome animal clinic so close by with knowledgeable and personable staff.

I strongly dislike the dentist but I go there because it is good for me. Thor the Book Viking cat hates the vet like he should. He had the " N word " done to him there and will never never never forget.

Wouldn't even think about taking my dogs to anyone but Dr. Reed Hansen. Our current dogs are old and require a lot of care and medicine, so we are frequent clients. The place is immaculately clean, the front office staff is kind and helpful and Dr. Hansen has a warm, funny personality. Honestly, my dogs aren't crazy about going to Cedar Ridge, but Dr. Reed Hansen is my favorite veterinarian.

First time ever going here and last , they are so full of themself and have no idea what they are doing , suggested I put my puppy down after a false blood test work! So glad I got a second opinion because she is as healthy as she gets ! They refuse to answer my calls and the lady at the front is rude & just as unprofessional as the Dr.Hansen , Would never recommended them !

I've had a few experiences getting cats and a dog spayed or neutered here and things went okay, although every single time there was a discrepancy on the price that I was told when making the appointment, and what the total actually was upon pickup. I let that go, multiple times. I recently have been seeing their vet about my dogs allergies, and he didn't seem to have very good personal skills. I then call them today and he was nothing but rude, condescending and ignorant to me. I am extremely disappointed and will never use their services, nor refer anyone else to them again.

We just took our puppy (8 months old) to the vet to get his nails trimmed. We have been many times before for immunizations and the Veterinarians have been amazing. However, the rest of the staff is less than fantastic. The lady at the front desk did not greet me or my dog with any sort of interest. She then proceeded to take him away from me to the back room. I asked if I could come and help and she said no (note: I have always gone to help in all of his appointments). When the door opened my dog ran frantically back to me and I knew something was wrong. I asked her and she said that they put a mussel on him and that he pooped all over them. He is a very well behaved dog and loves humans. He has never ever shown any sign of aggression towards dogs or humans. It is her own damn fault that he pooped on her because she put a mussel on him-something he has never experience. She then forcefully laid him down to trim his nail and that is when he pooped on them. No wonder he did that. He was scared out of his mind! She also said that she shampooed his bottom but she did not. Maybe she poured water on him but he smelled like fecal matter. I’m a CNA and know when someone has been properly cared for. We will NEVER go back for grooming again. Dr. Hansen is great but beware of the rest of the staff.

We LOVE Dr. Reed Hanson and the staff at Cedar Ridge! I highly recommend this vet to anyone, especially to those who are in the dog breeding business. He always does an outstanding job with docking tails and removing dewclaws! Anytime we've brought in our animals for an appointment or emergency visit, the staff and Dr. Hanson are on the ball. We have never had them rush to the next appointment/person. He has always taken the time to help you & your animal. Very caring and genuine, upfront and honest, and explains things in detail. I have always taken my animals for their routine check ups here, but I decided to get my Yorkie groomed here and I will never go anywhere else! They asked what I wanted and gave me exactly that. They got him smelling fabulous and sent him home in a cute little bandana.

Never take your animal to this hospital. We took our 5 month puppy to get fixed and have his dew claws removed. After telling them he was 5 months they wrote in the paperwork he was 10 months. We specifically asked to have the dew claws cut off with a laser and if they couldn't to not do it. After getting him back they not only charged us for a surgical removal of the dew claws but for a lot of other things we did not ask for. Within two days his bandages were falling off because they did not wrap them correctly then tried to say that it was my dogs fault and I had to pay $30 to have them re-wrapped. When they did the 2nd wrap the actual doctor wrapped them but did them wrong once again and we had to tear them off of his hair leaving bald spots. My wife who is studying pre-veterinarian wrapped them again 10x better by herself which lasted tell he got his stitches removed. His stitches were so badly done that they could not even get some of them out. One leg is seriously infected, text book infected as well, yet they claim it is ok. At the visit for removing his stitches my wife asked to talk with the doctor because we knew that he had done something wrong on his one leg that is infected but he refused to speak with her and had the vet techs remove the stitches which is an extremely bad practice. We will never go back to this Animal Hospital again and I am writing this review to save other animals from the terrible experience or injuries resulting from the neglect and inexperience of Cedar Ridge.

We've brought our dogs in for shots, immunizations, worming, etc, for years! Their boarding fees are reasonable, and we feel comfortable leaving our dogs there when we go out of town. The staff and Dr. Hansen are always so great and professional. We had one particular situation where we brought a dog I had accidentally run over (part heeler, little stinker-tried to "turn" our van like a cow). They did everything they could to save her, but ultimately had to put her down. I am very touched by how caring and understanding they were, and how they didn't try to charge me an arm and a leg for emergency services. We will always take our dogs there.

Our 8 month old puppy was attacked by another dog while we were at the dog park near our apartment complex. His face was badly punctured and he was bleeding like crazy. We went straight to the animal hospital. They brought us straight to the back where they helped calm our puppy (and us!) down. They immediately gave our puppy pain medication and antibiotics. They cleaned him up and held guaze on his head until the bleeding stopped. The staff was so sweet and gentle, our puppy loved them! Dr. Hanson was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We left feeling reassured that everything was going to be ok. We are so grateful for Cedar Ridge and all they did for us during a very scary time for us and our puppy!

We took our pitbull puppy in twice. Both times Dr. Hanson and his staff were professional and courteous. The second time we took our pup in we had to put him down. The Dr. was so sensitive and really helped us through the process. I was very grateful for that.

My fiance and I have three smaller dogs. We absolutely love bringing them to Cedar Ridge Animal Hospital. The staff there loves our dogs and get genuinely excited to see them. We live in West Yellowstone and they are always happy to work us into the schedule on an emergency or last minute call. One of our dogs is 13 years old and Doc has gotten her to the healthiest she has been in a while. We trust these doctors with our dogs well being and our dogs are actually very comfortable there. Not to mention they have a very cute office cat that my dog made friends with while being boarded there.

Upper Valley has worked on several of our animals, mini pigs and dogs. On at least two occasions they were emergency calls. Friendly and compassionate. Reminds me allot of Dr. Allens old office in Idaho Falls years ago.

In 2012, they did a great job on the neuter of my dog and also the rabies vaccine but they screwed up the paperwork and gave me another dogs records (they gave me paperwork for a female that had been spayed and was an entirely different breed than my dog)! Then, I had to hound them for weeks to get them to change it for me so I could have the proper documentation I needed for my dog to keep him at my apartment complex! I had to waste my gas and time to drive to their office and get what I needed out of them! As of lately, the office visits are very short and rushed and I get charged for shady fees that I am never told about until after.

I give 5 Stars to Dr. Hansen he is so helpful and always has my pets in his best interest first. We also love 2 of the techs there they are always so kind and helpful. The rest of the staff here are very inconsiderate and rude. One of the vets was so quick to put our 18 month old pup down, he did labs and an X-ray came back told me she had liver and kidney failure and that our best option was the euthanize, thank goodness the next day Dr. Hansen walked in when we were about to euthanize and urged us to go another route and her labs showed maybe an infection, that might be able to be treatable. The other vets there are HORRIBLE, INCONSIDERATE, and not compassionate at all. Our dogs are family and it would be nice to be treated as such.

Dr. Hansen and his staff are extremely comforting and professional. They cared for our two well loved male Maltese, Ranger and Tuffy, through out their lives, up to the point where they no longer had quality of life. Not very happy with our experience. Took our dog in to get neutered, they did a good deal on the cost. I don't understand why they didn't do any inside stitches or a smaller incision. The recovery is longer because of this. Also the office has not been at all helpful at answering or getting back to us when we've called with questions about recovery. That lack of feedback is very frustrating.

Years ago my dog got very sick. It ended up being something that my dog had eaten. Dr Hanson was so concerned he took him home with him that night and got up with him through out the night. He is very caring. We now have 2 dogs and take them there. They are more reasonably priced than the animal hospital that we used to go to in Idaho Falls. And the care is very good. A few months ago I was thinking we would have to put one of my dogs down. He is old and was very weak and couldnt walk or eat. Dr Hanson recommended some different things that I could do and prescribed a new medicine. I am so happy to say my dog got better and is happy and healthy now.
