Everyone was great. You can tell that they all have a passion for our pets.

Katie Crawford

Had a wonderful experience with my pup Kai, the staff is communicative and caring with the pets, their owners, and family when the owners can't be there! Appreciate all of the help and getting in so quickly.

Broadway Vet, in my opinion, is worthy of a much higher rating than they currently have, especially when they are put in direct comparison with their local competitors (looking at you, Eastgate). Here is why. 1. Exceptional Customer Service: It was clear from my very first appointment with Broadway Vet that providing top tier customer service was an extremely high priority. The staff is not only friendly, but they are also extremely professional and helpful. They made me and my pets feel welcome and loved. If you are still unconvinced, go and look at their hours. They are open 7 days a week until 7pm. That alone demonstrates their commitment, at least in my eyes, to serving animals. 2. Reasonably Priced: This one is subjective, BUT I don't feel like Broadway Vet overcharges or tries to sell me things I don't need. Some of the one star reviews on here seem to really attack their costs and make accusations that their staff attempts to sell unnecessary products. I find this interesting, as I have never experienced vets as being "cheap" unless there was something very lacking in their services. As for selling "optional" products, I believe all vets do this and so it really boils down to how they do it, in which case I would say Broadway Vet gets an A+. 3. Stellar Facility: Their facility is fantastic, and more importantly, it is clean! I think the parking is a little awkward, but that is a very minor nitpick. 4. Wide Range of Services: This one is mostly an observation, but it seems to me that Broadway Vet is capable of performing most things your pet could ever need. I think it is important to realize they are NOT an emergency clinic for pets, and not do they act like they are. 5. Convenient Location: Last but not least, I really appreciate Broadway Vet's location. It is easy to access, and not overly crowded or busy. TL;DR: I would highly recommend Broadway Vet to anyone in search of a place to take care of their furry friends. Their exceptional service and professional demeanor will surely impress you as it impressed me.

The care at the clinic is excellent and the staff is kind, empathetic, and professional. However, I do have two criticisms which have been persistent throughout our 4 years as customers at the Broadway clinic; 1 - the salesman mentality the staff displays gets tiresome. The staff offers every immunization under the sun every visit whether there is evidence of a local risk or not. While the staff is honest and forthcoming when asked of the local prevalence of a health risk, these details have not been offered proactively which may lead to less savvy pet owners consenting to expensive treatments without all the facts to make an educated decision. Additionally, as a result of this practice, completely trusting the doctor's treatment recommendations becomes increasingly difficult, especially when they are costly as it leaves one to wonder what they are not asking to understand all the options. 2 the examination fee that is charged for every visit regardless of need is often unnecessary and significantly adds to the cost of each visit. This practice is especially problematic with younger pets who are visiting for specific purpose, such as staying current on vaccinations, and lack any observable need for an exam.

I have been using this vet for years. Dr. Sessions and Dr, Caldwell have taken great care of our cats.

Jean-Louise Zancanella

I've been using Broadway vet for two years and have had positive experiences with all of the vets but wanted to write a review specifically for the recent care my dog received from Dr. Sessions. I had to make the difficult decision to put my old sweet boston terrier, Agatha, down and Dr. Sessions was remarkably compassionate in a way that I've literally never experienced anywhere else. She was also realistic about my dog's options and I felt fully supported in my decision, something that I haven't always gotten at other veterinary clinics. So grateful for the care my pup received in her final moments and while I was already a happy customer, this last experience blew me away. I will continue to take my pets to Broadway as long as I live in Boise.

I have been going to Broadway vet for years, and have spent literally thousands of dollars there as well as referred many others. I have always been amazed at the expense of veterinary care, but I love my dogs and when they are sick, I have trusted Broadway Vet with their care. Recently I brought my dog in for an issue that has been recurring and treated a few different times. I called to see if they would give him the same prescription that had worked in the past, but they insisted that we run some tests. I brought him in and the cost of the visit just seemed outrageous to me. I have never questioned them in the past, but this time I decided to double check the prices on the meds they were recommending. I found the exact same medication at Wallgreens Pharmacy for less than half of what Broadway Vet was charging, and a dietary supplement that's canine specific, for a third of the cost at a pet store. I believe I have always received good quality care by the Vets at Broadway Vet, but I think their business model is to take advantage of you every chance they get with their pricing. If you choose to go to Broadway Vet, DO NOT buy any products from them. Understand that you are being charged high prices for their services and being taken advantage of on their products. I will not be returning. I am looking for someone that wants to help my pet and not take advantage of me in the process!

Amanda Hibbs

My animals always receive the best care here! They are truly empathetic and very personable. Dr. Caldwell was very caring and compassionate when I had to relieve my cat of her earthly journey, recently. Thank you for the excellent care!

Dawn O

Really there's nothing that would make it better. Dr. Reina has been my vet for over 2 years and she always does excellent work. Carla is also always very kind and always there to answer any questions I have. You all do a great job so I don't see any reason to change anything!

Tina Newman

You can tell they truly love animals. I have one dog that is very skittish and doesn't trust humans. But in less than 10 minutes she was best buddies with everybody. I can't even begin to say enough good things about these people. If I could give them 20 Stars I would.

I cannot recommend Broadway Vet enough! The are truly AMAZING! This past week we had to do the worst thing that a pet owner could do, we had to say goodbye to our 14 year old lab. Saying goodbye to a pet is NEVER easy but Dr. Sessions and the Broadway Vet team made it the most peaceful experience that it could be for ourselves and out beloved lab Daisy Broadway vet actually came TO OUR HOME when the time came. It was not traumatic or scary for our dog AT ALL. Dr. Sessions came with her assistant and loved on our pup making sure that she was not scared or nervous. She passed away peacefully in her bed with her family around her. They handled this with such professionalism and care. This team truly cares so much about the animals that they treat. THANK YOU BROADWAY VET!!

Kelly Katona

Wonderful staff. They had been nothing but comforting and respectful during the last moments of my ferret’s life. I will definitely be bring all my pets here.

Heidi Pluska

Everything was perfect from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. The doctor that saw Wiggles was attentive and charming.

Richard Allen

We have been bringing our 2 dogs, Bella the Boxer and Eli the mini Aussie, to Broadway Vet for about 4 years now. We couldn't be happier with the staff and service we receive here. Dr. Sessions and her staff are amazing!

Taylor B

Took my dog here for the first time today and every single person I interacted with was so amazing and sweet! They went the extra mile to make my dog comfortable. I also love how Dr. Warner explained everything to me and took time to answer all my questions. Such a great place!

Cameron Vannan

Awesome place. Literally saved my dogs life.

Dacia Love

I love the Broadway Vet. The staff is awesome. They take the best care of my dogs and answer all my questions and concerns. What I like the best are the hours, really convenient for working pet owners. Great place, highly recommended.

Jordan Rawls

Thank you Dr. Reina, for your compassion and kindness.

Bethany Mehling

These guys always take such good care of my fur babies!! And Dr. Dawn Sessions is one of the most caring vets I've ever met, highly recommend this clinic!!

Lori Liberty

We had a weekend emergency and our regular clinic was closed. I spoke to the wonderful receptionist (Brittney) and they got us in IMMEDIATELY! The whole staff at BVH were so kind and accommodating. Dr. Katie worked our fuzzy boy into her busy schedule and put him on the road to healing. We were quite impressed with the whole experience and we even got a follow up call to check on the fuzzy pt! If that’s not love and care for your fuzzy one and commitment to their passion, I don’t know what is! We definitely recommend this wonderful team of caregivers in a heartbeat! We can’t thank them enough for the loving care they showed our boy.

Pattie Carta

We started taking both our cats to Broadway this last fall. Prior we used another vet and found them lacking. The staff here treats our animals like they were their own and spend time explaining thoroughly

Stacey Sullivan

So grateful for a clinic in my general area that has weekend hours. Great staff! Very compassionate and empathetic with me when I brought my ill pets for treatment.

Where do I begin? Took a puppy in that was very sick. The clinic did not even take his temperature and argued with us and insisted he did not have a fever. Then they encouraged us to pay for expensive testing only to come up negative. Then the doctor said if she would have known he had a fever, should would not have tested for Parvo. Also claims they can cure Parvo when every single website we search all night says this is impossible. They are a walking contradiction. I kept asking if he had a blockage since puppy's eat everything. She said highly likely but we would have to come back for another visit ( read another expensive bill). Highlights: * Over charge * failed simple exam procedures * lack of communication among staff * poor care * very expensive * lack of listening

Tiffany Mendoza

They took excellent care of my dog bentlie. They got him in quick. Thank you for taking care of my baby!!!

Matt Looze

Best vets and service I could every hope for!

Cassandra Stanton

Very professional and caring! Our dog was recently diagnosed with a thyroid problem and they have been very thorough with diagnosis to make sure Ferny is getting the proper treatment!

j ferg

I have been very pleased with the care and service. I am shocked to read how some people complain about the price. To those people you need to look at the bigger picture when you pay a few hundred or less to help your pet. All veterinarians have insurance, rent of the building, staff to pay, receptionist, cleaning crew, vet tech's, and more, so out of a 200 dollar bill the vet might get 30 dollars. Your pet provides unconditional love and companionship and deserves to have the best care even if it cost a bit. Broadway vet is awsome!!! From injuries to illness Brodway Vets have always provided the best care.

Kristel Gazzola

Friendly and knowledgeable staff that really takes the time to understand why your pet is being seen. Broadway Vet definitely trumps all other Vets in town for me due to their kind and helpful nature. They will give options and be straight with you, not try and make you spend more money when you don't have to.

Monica Shults

My experience was fantastic! My dog Morty is very timid around new people and he has not enjoyed going to the vet in the past and it makes for a very anxious trip for both of us. Dr. Baldwin was amazing as well as the rest of the staff from the moment we arrived. Everyone was very understanding and patient with Morty while still setting boundaries and not letting his shyness defeat the reason we were there. I was so happy when Dr. Baldwin came out and said he did great with his exam and even warmed up to one of the technicians and was accepting pets and scratches from her and they didn’t even have to muzzle him like the last vet’s office did!! Needless to say, Morty now has a new vet for years to come and I know he will be in the best hands no matter what brings us in! Thank you to everyone! I now know that a vet trip doesn’t have to cause anxiety for both of us, so thanks!

Megan Jones

Best vet I have ever been to. Years of wonderful service!

Elizabeth Wudyka

I have a pet and they take great care of her and help me with problems and issues I may be having. I have brought my last two pets here, and I will continue coming to this area.

Megan Bright

I have never written a review, positive or negative online, but Broadway Vet deserves this dedication of my time. They are truly the best. We had a scary few weeks at the end of last summer dealing with our dog and an extensive facial infection involving Cheatgrass. Our dog had to have multiple facial drains and was on a number of medications. Never once did we feel pressured into any decision and the staff was more than punctual in keeping us updated on his condition. Dr. Sessions and Dr. Caldwell took care of him as if he was their own and made sure we were well informed and had an active role in decision making with our fur baby. I'm happy to report our dog turned the corner and is as healthy as can be after a scary few weeks. It was not easy keeping a Viszla calm to recover for that long, but they gave us all the tools possible to ensure his success. We have nothing but praises to sing about Broadway Vet and will drive however long it may be to ensure all of our future animals will be under their care.

Tami US

I am also shocked about the bad reviews -I absolutely love Broadway Vet. I am a little bit of a helicopter mom when it comes to my dogs and they are always so patient, friendly and take their time.

Roy Dye

Your staff is simply the best. Out of the four times I have been to your facility in the past 6 months I was always treated like your number one customer. I have a lot of faith in trusting your diagnosis and blood/stool tests you’ve preformed on my 15-and-a-half year old cat, Tommy Lee. Before my last appointment, I was crying on the phone when scheduling a time to bring in Tommy Lee. Rachel (I believe was her name) was so kind and understanding and just basically sat on the phone for about 45 seconds until I was able to gain my composure back and begin to talk some more about how sick my cat seemed to me. I’m happy to say that after three days, the medicine seems to be working and Tommy Lee is feeling better. I’m currently watching him bask in the sun in the backyard. He is yawning, chasing bugs, watching birds fly overhead and enjoying just being alive. I am beyond grateful to your staff and doctors for his treatment, gentle-handling, shots, antibiotics and steroid pills you have prescribed for him to receive from me. I know that whatever amount of time I get to spend with Tommy Lee is a precious gift, thanks to your clinic. Thank you ever so much. — Roy Dye

Changing to Broadway Veterinary Hospital has been an amazing experience. Everyone is so kind and friendly and really love animals. We believe our animals are getting the very best care in the valley! We are so thankful we found you!

Josh Sittner

Great experiences with them. Friendly staff, open later in the evening, genuine caring for my animals, affordable, and will do their best to squeeze you in if its urgent even if they are super busy.

Due to an accident that turned out to be minor, Anubis found his way into the vets office today. I was a worried dog mom who may have slightly overreacted, but my little Núbs is my baby and I couldn't stand by with the worried thoughts brewing in my mind. I'm happy to announce that Anubis is just fine. Obviously, I'm beyond relieved... Broadway Vet was ready to help me immediately and upon finding out that I could not afford the medication he needed, they donated it to us instead. The women working there weren't only professional but truly care and obviously walk into their jobs everyday ready to make a difference in our pets lives. I'm beyond grateful and humbled by their warm and understanding hearts. I'm posting to request that anyone who has pet medication they are no longer in need of, donate it to Broadway Vet or even other veterinary hospitals. It makes a huge difference to others and their fur baby's lives. If it weren't for the donated medication, Anubis would still most likely be fine. But, now he'll be fine and deal with less physical pain. The fact that they went out of their way to not only make sure he's ok but ensure his comfort, means more than I can describe. Thank you Broadway Vet for your compassion and understanding. I will pay your kindness forward and am grateful beyond words, for your loving and compassionate staff. You guys made a huge difference in my world today as Anubis is my number one little love, he was adopted from BBBR and is the most amazing, loving, happy little boy... He's definitely changed my life for the better. Having Broadway Vet there to help and offer the most they could, made such a difference for me and my peace of mind.. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart... Broadway Vet definitely loves my little pet..

Lauren Paul

I used to take my dogs to this vet, but they are only interested in taking your money. They upsell their services every visit. A simple visit is $500 or more. For those of us who can’t afford this or their thousands of dollars of suggestions for your dog, try another vet. They don’t care about your dog. They care about the money. To add to my post after Broadway’s response, I don’t appreciate my dogs medical history being posted on this site. My complaint had nothing to do with her history. It had to do with the pattern of over charging customers. I had the same experience as one of the previous posters where I brought my dog in for what turned out to be back pain and my bill was over $700. Items like “geriatric exam” and every other thing under the sun were added to the bill. When I came in this week, I explained that she just had her exam. It was an emergency visit and all this business cared about was billing me the most money as possible. They let me leave without speaking to me about it because that’s how much they care.

Broadway in Boise are all incredible at what they do no matter what role each person play in the facility - My Dog is the only family I have in Idaho! He flew on an airplane from CA with me when I moved here- it was a big deal! Thanks for keeping Bailey happy and healthy!

The Rat Retreat, Inc. uses Broadway Vet regularly to treat the pet rats that are in their care and in the care of foster parents. We have been very pleased with the doctors and staff who are polite and always willing to answer our questions or those of our foster parents. It can be quite difficult to find vets that are comfortable and competent in working with exotics such as rats and we feel fortunate to have found Broadway Vet. Edit: A wrote a huge review, but it's not really going to matter. Basically, we were cancelled on at last minute the first appointment we had, and they couldn't get us in until quite a few days later. We got a quote from the receptionist for her second round, it was wring when we went in for them today & we were charged another exam fee after waiting 30 minutes past our appointment time. Have more vets on staff, or at the very least make your staff aware of things and have them have some compassion for others time. Really. We took our boy there to get him UTD on his shots and were blown away by the care that we got from them. Everyone was friendly, and they even promote other things going on within the animal community -- which is so important! Would absolutely, and already have recommended them to friends and family!

Not impressed by Broadway Vet Hospital. Would not recommend if you are really looking for a vet who cares. They over charge for everything and pressure you to get things you do not need. Don't expect to walk out of there without spending $150. Brought my dog in for discharge from the ear due to falling in a pool. When I came to the appointment it was very rushed and I didn't feel like they listened nor cared. When the vet looked at my dog he didn't even look in my dogs ear with a scope. He just said they would need to swab his ear to see what was causing the discharge; bacterial, yeast, or mites.... even though I had already said it was from water from a pool. Test came back that my dog had a yeast and bacterial infection from the pool water.... DUH!!! I was charged $57 for the ear discharge analysis, even though if they had taken my word they wouldn't of had to swab my dog's ear. Then they tried to send me home with $30 ear cleaning product my dog didn't need. Very disappointed by my experience.

Paul Burnett

I like the staff and not complaining about the service, but whoever the owner is needs to change his business model. They are overpriced by 100%, they are very aggressive about over-selling and its obvious the staff are forced to do this by the owners. Its very offensive. $400 for 5 minutes looking at feces under a scope for parasite eggs and prescribing meds? Its a joke. Never again!

They took good care and saved my hamster after I was told my hamster would die at a different vet

Best vet clinic in town. Thorough and compassionate care the minute you walk in the door! Dr. Caldwell was professional and helped us tremendously during the recovery of our dog, Rosie. We love Broadway vet!

Gwen Purcell

First I would like to be honest and say that I work at Broadway Vet. I have worked here since 2011. I am reviewing to give you an inside view of what you can't see as a client. I have worked for two other veterinary hospitals for another two years and Broadway Vet is the only hospital I have felt completely confident in all the doctors care and medicine for the animals of not only my pets but the clients pets. I am never worried when my pets are under anesthesia because there is a certified vet tech specifically dedicated to monitoring my pet's vitals during the whole process. The other hospitals I worked for will combine this position with other duties and leave my pet at risk for lack of anesthetic monitoring. The doctors at Broadway Vet are completely trustworthy and are looking to provide the gold standard of care if possible for all pets. If cost is an issue, then we can move to a plan B but we always offer what's best for the pet first. We dont skip this step like other hospitals. This hospital is open on weekends and also open until 7pm everyday. Almost every night after 5pm, people call frantic after getting off work and needing to bring in their pet. Almost every night I close we never get out of there at 7pm because we want to stay later to help a patient who needs treatment that night. Dr. Caldwell is mainly my pugs doctor. I try to stick with one doctor if possible to keep familiarity with my pets but they have seen all of the other doctors as well for emergencies. Dr. Sessions voted the best of Boise two years in a row owns Broadway Vet. She is extremely experienced and remembers clients and patients names who haven't seen us for years. This is one thing I cannot say about my previous veterinary hospitals: Previous employees of Broadway Vet who were fired or quit STILL come to Broadway Vet to have us take care of their pets. They know we are the best and still trust our doctors even after employment has ended. The scariest thing that other hospitals I worked for was the dental cleaning procedures. Not all dental cleanings are the same, believe me. At Broadway Vet there is one technician monitoring your vitals and one technician cleaning the teeth and the doctor is not taking appointments while this happens. This is not what happens at the other hospitals. The other hospitals have one tech monitoring vitals at the same time as that same technician cleans the teeth and the doctor that is supposed to be in charge of your pet's medical care is also seeing appointments at the same time while your pet is under anesthesia. This is how they get away with offering cheap dental cleanings. It's not safe for your pet. Two pets died at my previous hospitals in the time I worked there during dental cleanings. Not one single pets has died during a dental cleaning while I have worked at Broadway Vet. I promise you that the doctors at Broadway Vet are not looking to "up sell" you. They are trying to provide the best possible care for your pet. Safety is the utmost importance to us and you will find comfort and trust in your doctors if you come to Broadway Vet.

Leah Hope

Always takes care of my little Weiner dog! I haven’t had a bad experience with BV at all!

Sheila Moore

I initially took my dog to a vet clinic close to my house who said that my dog had a sore back. Four days later Dr. Caldwell diagnosed her with pancreatitis and kidney failure, far from a sore back! I will continue to drive 30 extra minutes to have my pets taken care of by a vet clinic that cares and takes the time to diagnose correctly.

Noreen Castellani

I highly recommend this pet hospital! My dog and I are on a road trip, many states from our home and my dog started vomiting. I read many google reviews about many pet hospitals and this one had the best overall. I called them but they had no appt. available. I spoke with a couple of different people and each tried to troubleshoot the appt issue. If I couldn’t be seen today, we would get me in tomorrow. These people spent probably 20 min trying to figure out how to get me in. They called me a few hours later with an opening and I went. Dr. Baldwin was warm, professional and knowledgable. She asked me multiple times if I had any more questions. She patiently listened to the whole pre-story, worked through different possibilities with me. The time she spent with me was focused on us and I never felt like she was trying to quickly finish up to get to another patient. The front staff were all friendly and helpful. It’s tough being a crazy devoted dog parent and being far away from my own vet. I am so thankful I found them!

Ellen Johns

My whole family has been using Broadway vet for our pets for a few years now. The staff is always so welcoming, friendly, and happy to answer any questions I have about my cat Milo’s health. I also love that they are usually able to work my cat in to be seen within just a day or two when I call to schedule basic appointments. The service here is fantastic and we will be patients for life!

Brock Salisbury

Dr. Sessions is absolutely the best vet I've ever seen and we've seen a lot of them. I'm really glad life had it in mind to cross our paths because she's been a huge blessing. She's had to deal me bad news more than once regarding my best friend, and she is comforting and I have the utmost confidence that she's giving me the right answers.

Brian Molthen

Normally I would give give five stars for the service. They do an excellent job caring for our dogs. However, today the vet tech failed to listen. She routinely discounted what my wife and I said and kept repeating herself. We aren't idiots nor are we bad pet owners. The prices are a different matter. They seem rather extreme. I understand overhead, but when there is a couple 100% markup on medications that I have gotten from other providers, I question the the motives. You never get out of here for less than $150. On the good side, they have a 20% military discount for the month of July. Not connected to this visit, Dr. Reina is AMAZING! My wife and I both highly recommended having your pet seen by her.

Sarah Harper

I recently took my little one here to update vaccines as I’ve heard so many great things about this office. After my visit I’m sure she’s found a veterinarian for life! The entire staff was kind, informative and really made me feel like my dog is going to be taken care of.

Carol Wood

Tiki really loves the loving treatmrnt and i love the way they explain everything so clearly to me.

Kelly Slawta

Dr. Reina is excellent! She helped my poor itchy pug, and has her back to feeling like herself. Great Dr. and great staff all around!

Beth Weickum

I had only been to this hospital once as I am new to the area . I then had a vet emergency showed up about the time they opened no appt , they were very caring took my pup in and kept me updated on tests and prognosis. They were very open about costs before doing tests. They treated my puppy very well with love and care . My pup is back home now and I will continue to use their services !

Kailie Fincham

My mini Aussie/Pomeranian broke his hind leg on a Saturday evening. Broadway vet took him in and got him all fixed up that same night. With scheduled cast changes every week I was around Broadway vet a lot and they are always so kind and caring about all the animals( I saw lots of animals while waiting in the lobby from dogs and cats to guinea pigs and snakes). My dog was always super excited when we pulled up to Broadway vet. Couldnt recommend Broadway vet more!

Josh Poser

We took our dog in for an emergency and got great service. Wanted to have them as our vet. Now the dog is throwing up and they don't have appointments for several days. You can drop off your pet and they will get to them when it works for them. Not a good system.

Noelle Johansen

I’m very frustrated with Broadway Vet. On my first visit, the doctor mentioned heartworm and flea medications, talked about their benefits, and I thought it might be worth looking into. I didn’t even get all of the specific details, and then they brought me my bill, including those meds, and it was close to $500. I’m a college student, and can’t afford to drop that kind of money without planning. When I said that I couldn’t afford it, the staff acted frustrated and annoyed with me. Horrible customer service. While I was there that first time, my dog got the flu vaccine and one of the technicians, tall with dark hair, told me the booster would be completely free on my next visit. So I go in today go get his flu booster, and I check in, and I’m told that the exam is free but I have to pay for the vaccine. I told her exactly what I had been told last time, and she said, “Nope, sorry, you have to pay.” She was incredibly rude and inconsiderate, and just kept shaking her head at me. Again, another instance of bad customer service. When a different vet tech came to get my dog, I told her what happened, and she said she would talk to the office manager and see what they could do. She didn’t come back out, and the same inconsiderate lady called me to check out and said I owed the money. I paid because I wanted my dog back, and then she claimed she was going to talk to the office manager. My main frustration with Broadway Vet is the customer service and the money they try to pull from you. I understand that medications cost money, but the least they could do was be considerate when I said I couldn’t afford those medications and just wanted the exam. They need to be honest and more clear about costs for booster shots, because even the vet tech said others were confused. I won’t be going back due to the horrible customer service and unclear expectations.

Sarah Ahrens

Broadway was my vet for my boxer Brandi. They always took great care of her. Even when it came down to when she had kidney failure, they did everything they could to make her comfortable. I had to put her down shortly after (at another vets office that was closer to my home) when Broadway called to check up on brandi and found out that she had passed, they sent flowers and a card to my home. Very very sweet people. Never had a bad experience in the 7 years I've gone to them.

Kayla Hetherington

I am always SO impressed with Broadway Vet. The receptionist, vet tech, and vet were all so kind and patient with our pittie (who was VERY nervous and not wanting to cooperate with them). Thank you for taking your time with him and helping him feel comfortable!

Kimberly Stokes

Great experience!

Mark Bolander

My friend Osa was in need of help and Dr. Turner and the Staff did a great job to help us both. Thank you so much.

Regina Hardy

Took my 14 year old kitty in today. The staff was amazing! So caring and gentle. Dr Werner was so friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend Broadway Veterinary.

Keith Tracy

Oh man!!! This place is an absolute joke, I’ll start with the positive: 1.Staff is nice... that’s it The bad is: They are incompetent, overpriced l, and worse than a crooked auto shop. Brought a rescue in to get shots cause we had no idea what kind of care he received prior. They tried slapping a bunch of non sense charges on us, plus estimated a neutering for over $220 alone! Then they said trimming his nails was included with the shots and did only half of them, ok thanks for trying? After, they inspected a skin tag, they charged for fees like an incision fee, a smear fee??? scared my wife telling her it could be cancer without even doin a biopsy! Plus after slicing this cute dog open to “smear” the sample they didn’t even bandage the incision, what!? We’ve been to a few vets but this one is one you might wanna think twice about. We currently have our dog scheduled to get neutered and have skin tag removed and nails trimmed (fully) for $163 at a vet in Weiser. Thanks anyways Broadway vet, good luck

Not impressed. Price-gouging fees for non-service related things, rude staff who answer the phone, lack of availability for immediate-need situations. There are plenty of other options in Boise. BV has disappointed me many times in the past over these issues, and I've brought it to the attention of management. I thought I'd give them one more chance, but today they repeated the same money-driven tactics, poor service, and poor etiquette as before. Clearly change doesn't happen after feedback from pet owners.

We take our rabbits to Broadway Veterinary Hospital and they have received excellent care! The Veterinarian and the staff have been very knowledgeable, supportive, and caring.

Cameron Schieldt

I simply cannot express how thankful I am for Dr. Baldwin. About two months ago, my German Shorthaired Pointer chewed up a baked bone and spent two days at the emergency vet clinic before being transferred to Broadway Veterinary Hospital. Long story short my options were to put her down or try a very invasive small intestine surgery. Dr. Baldwin walked me through the entire situation and performed the surgery. My pup made a full recovery and I highly recommend these guys as they took such good care of me during a very traumatic time and saved Harper's life!

I discontinued using Broadway Vet some years ago after I realized how much more expensive they were for comparable care and service elsewhere. While on vacation, my dog sitter (ignoring my emergency care instructions) took my dog in to Broadway for bleeding gums. Two simple tooth extractions resulted. I compared the itemized statement against what my Vet would have charged and, once again, costs were substantially higher at Broadway Vet. It just confirmed my previous decision.

Broadway Vet has taken care of every animal our family has owned in our 25 year history of owning pets. They've provided grounded, straight-forward, compassionate care for our family of 2 dogs and 3 cats. They've helped us with various injuries and issues over the years, but last winter they really shined when we had to go through the painful process of putting down our 17 yr. old cat. Of course we have our favorites, but we've worked with all of the doc's and support staff over the years, and honestly all of them have been top-notch. Broadway Vet has been around "forever" and that is due to the fact that they do a fantastic job of both supporting our community and caring for our animals.

My 10 year old golden retriever recently had a CBLO surgery to repair a torn ACL. The level of care that he received was incredible. Between the pre op visits, the surgery itself, and the post op follow ups, I have been incredibly impressed by this talented and caring team. It's obvious that they are passionate, not only about pet care, but also about empowering the pet owners with information and cutting edge veterinary options. I would 100% recommend this Veterinary Hospital.

Brittany Cebada

Always so incredibly kind and helpful! Thank you for helping our hedgehog!

I have taken my animals to Broadway Vet for over 10 years, but today will be the last. They quoted teeth cleaning for my small dog between $150.00 to $175.00. However, today at the time of the appointment, that figure jumped from nearly $600.00 to $900.00...for teeth cleaning! I was told they may need to extract some teeth. What? They NEVER said anything about pulling teeth. And those figures were never disclosed when talking to the vet at a prior appointment. I am appalled by the lack of honesty and commitment to good communication with pet owners.

Nic Arnold

Save your money and time, do NOT take your animal here. I've taken two of my dogs here for two different illnesses, both times they charged me a lot of money for tests and came back with "we still don't know but we can run more tests". So after several hundred dollars I left with no answers and no treatment for my dogs. After the second time I took my dog to another vet who ran the same tests for half the price (including the medication) and also explained to me what was going on with my dog. I will never return here again.

I’ve had worse vets but I’ve also had better. Pros: Awesome hours, big facility, competent vets. Cons: Just like most vets they typically find an additional procedure or medicine your pet needs whether they do truly need it, it’s really unclear. Afterwards, your bill is mixed in with quotes for future services without any clear indication for what is due today and what you’re signing on to do in the future. Each visit, I had asked them to explain what I actually owed them and they were consistently short with me about it. It really felt like they didn’t want me to ask at all.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff and experiences we have had with Broadway Vet! I truly feel that every staff member cares and absolutely loves my dogs. One of my favorite things about Broadway vet that sets them apart from other vests is the smooth transition and set up of the vets office. When we arrive we are only in the waiting area for a few minutes before being led into an exam room with the vet tech. Later the vet comes in and has always answered every little question we have. While still in the exam room we get an estimation of the bill and discuss what procedures we want to do today and then the tech escorts my dog to the back of the office where they perform the procedures. There are other vet offices where they had me hold down my dogs for injections or ear swabs. I hated having to do that to my dogs. I also appreciate the vet coming back to the waiting area to personally give me updates on my dogs exam/vaccine/cultures/labs and discuss home treatment and care. On a specific instance, I had to cancel one of my dogs vet visit because my husband was in a car accident on the 84 where is car rolled 3 times. Broadway Vet had flowers and a get well card sent to the hospital in Twin Falls for my husband. Not only do they care about our dogs they truly care about the entire family. They are by far the best vet office I have ever been to and I am happy to recommend Broadway Vet to anyone with pets. Thank you to Broadway Vet for taking care of my fur-babies and being wonderful human beings!!!

I really want to write a great review for Broadway Vet. I have been going there for years. They do have a clean facility, make you feel comfortable, and have very friendly staff. However that's as much as I can say. I have been going to Broadway Vet for about 3 years. I have 3 dogs whom are like children to me. Most recently, my boyfriend took my dog in (I was out of town for work) because she had a broken toe nail and the kwik was exposed. They told him that it would be $400 to have it cut back. He agreed, and paid it. She came home bandaged and coming out of sedation. If I were there, I would have not agreed to pay that price. This same thing happened to my other dog in McCall 2 months prior. We got her into Long Valley Vet Clinic first thing that morning, she left with only local anesthetic and a $90 vet bill! I was shocked at the exorbitant price tag at Broadway Vet! 2 months later, her nail isn't healed and we're out $400. As I thought back on my visits at Broadway Vet. Some things came to mind that I hadn't given a second thought to until now: - When I brought my dog Olive in when she was limping on her foot, they wanted to CUT HER LEG OFF! She had a luxated patella the year before that a specialist vet in Sun Valley (Dr. Akers - who is AMAZING) fixed. I told them this and they said between that and the torn ACL they believed she had and the previous surgery she had that "it was too messy to fix" and they suggested I cut off her leg. I went to Dr. Akers for a 2nd opinion, he laughed at the fact they wanted to cut it off and said all she would need is her pin removed that had migrated up from the patella surgery. She hasn't had the pin removed nor has she had her leg cut off and she is fine. (I was shocked to see that another google review had said the same thing!) - Another time I brought Olive in they needed to do X rays. They came out and said they messed up and needed more. I agreed. They charged me for the X rays they messed up on. $900 for a consultation and X rays to tell me "she'll be fine" - I brought Olive in for a check up, they noticed her bottom K9 tooth was chipped. suggested they take it out because it would hurt her. I agreed to the surgery because I was lead to believe that she would be in pain. I spoke to another vet about this and he laughed. It turns out the surgery wasn't necessary. If you're thinking of getting a recommended surgery there I would ask for a 2nd opinion. I feel like they saw that my dogs are like children to me and cashed in on that. I kept going back thinking that I was getting quality care. More than anything I feel taken advantage of, and because of this I will be taking my dogs to another vet from now on.

I’ve been taking my 18 year old Siberian husky here for years and they are excellent always remember him. They make him feel comfortable and are loving towards him I will only bring all my pets here from now on

I am very grateful for Dr. Baldwin and the entire staff. My dog had some major issues and their knowledge and patience was outstanding. He is now back to his old self!!

Sherry Scheets

Yhsnk you Dr Caldwell

Molly Spencer

My daughter took their dog in for annual vaccinations and they said his teeth needed to be cleaned, and he had a broken tooth that needed to be pulled. Their quote was $1200! She took him to our vet in Meridian and they took care of him and it was under $500. Broadway vet is way to $$$$$$

laura sullivan

Broadway Vet was GREAT. Extremely friendly and they are very patient with animals. Very helpful and knowledgable. Glad to have found them. Dr. Caldwell saved my pet from a very costly and unnecessary surgery!

Kylee Ross

I took my dog in for a tumor and the vet wanted to get it tested, the rates are pretty high. Everyone was super friendly, my dog loved everyone and even gave him a tennis ball to take home. They wanted $1000 to remove the growth on the high end. $700 on the low end. Only complaints I had were that the exam rooms were not clean, I did not feel comfortable sitting on the couch they had in there. I ended up taking him to Idaho humane society and they got in him that day, the vet there new EXACTLY what the growth was in 2 seconds and that it was $400 dollars to remove and keep him over night. And they did it that day and i could do in-house payment plans. If you're struggling to help your sick animal, I recommend going to the Idaho humane society. This is a great place if you guys can afford it! Everyone is super friendly, the rates are a little high for not accepting in house payments as I was not approved for care credit. Also they wanted to charge me things that were not necessary and the vet didn't give me any advice on what to do with the growth until we could afford to get it removed. I waited in the exam room for 10 mins and the vet never came back in, after i told them I couldn't afford to get it tested or removed, nobody came back to recap on the situation. They let me walk out of there, not knowing what i could do for my dog and pay their exam fee.

Paul Taber

I have been going to Broadway Vet for 18 years. They are great!

Cinthya Herrera

I do not recommend this place at all. Over priced and not able to diagnosed my pet. The staff is very friendly and nice but that does not make it worth $400 of tests and still no clue about what could be wrong with your pet.

Hannah G

Loved my first vet appointment! They were so amazing and caring. Listened to any of my concerns and helped my pup feel better :)

Remington Novak

Amazing people who saw my poor kitty last minute on a Sunday. Highly recommend.

Mary Raab

They didn't have any appointments on a Sunday. They knew my pet needed seen. They fit me in very timely manner. They were very caring.

Carolyn Cameron

KIP LADD

Great compassion and caring for all 3 of our dogs. Prices have been reasonable and actually less than the last vet we were at. I would recommend them to anyone.

Christian Richtsmeier

Affordable services, and nice people at this place. They took care of our cat's UTI, and gave us the knowledge we needed moving forward. Thank you!

Daniel Cunningham

I've been bringing my greyhounds to Broadway Vet since I moved to Boise a couple of years ago, and I recommend them without reservation. They have a great mix of expert hospital level services, everyday stuff and moderate pricing. The front staff, techs and docs are great, hardworking and honestly caring people. This is NOT one of those upper-crust places where it costs $1000 to walk through the door (I've been to those elsewhere) so relax. Couches, coffee, tea and cookies, it'll be okay.

Zach Butler

Quite possibly the worst experience at any vet office I have ever been to. They treated our two puppies very cold. They have a real inability to communicate what they will be doing next. My wife initially went in to have rabies vaccination and a spot looked at on one of our puppies. The vet assistant took each back without explaining to my wife that she would not be able to come with them. This made our puppies nervous and anxious...thus leading to a bad experience for them as well. When I had originally set the appointment I was told by the front desk clerk that there would be some discount applied to our second dog because we brought them in at the same time. Once it was time to pay this never happened and when I asked I was told by the Vet that she never would allow that. At our follow up visit for one of the puppies I was told that I could not come back with her for her nails to be trimmed. I explained that I would like to come back and be there so that she would be put at ease with my presence. Eventually at this follow up visit the VET came out to talk to us and she informed us that they have such huge insurance costs they can never let an owner back with his/her pet. I find this odd and have been to countless vet offices where this is the exact opposite of what they prefer with your pet. The vet was very proud to make sure we knew that she was voted Boise Best this last year..very condescending and rude. She told us that we may want to find another Vet. Very disappointed and would encourage any one who is thinking about going here to look elsewhere.

David Domanski-Miville

Dr. Sessions' compassion, competence and pragmatism really impressed me. It is hard to find a vet who knows how to treat chickens and will give them (and their owners) the same regard afforded to dogs and cats. I highly recommend her and her staff.

Estefani Rodriguez

Everything was perfect ! I don’t know of any other way my experience could of been better

Veronica Hawkes

Great service, saw me later in the day on Saturday when my dog Jagger was attacked and I couldn't get in anywhere in Twin Falls where we live. We had to wait but it was worth it, great, caring staff and I am so very grateful for their help. Thank you once again for getting my dog In when no one else would, well worth the drive from Twin Falls!!

I just took my ill cat that was new to Boise here as this is my designated vet. I am always treated with so much respect and care and the vet was straight up and honest and the prices are very acceptable to me. I was given a lot of attention but most importantly they gave my cat "Cuddles" the most attention and that was why we were there. My last cat was euthanized here is I trust them and know I am going to be told the honest truth and they treat my pet with great love and respect. Thanks so much.

Pelles Asher

I just wanted to reach out to Broadway staff to say thank you for all the positive thoughts and the flowers I received yesterday. A few days ago I put my elderly rabbit to sleep and staff (as always) were so kind and supportive. What makes you guys so special is the support doesn’t end when the appointment is over. The front desk ladies heard that I had lost my 14 year old dog China a few months before and I think they knew this was going to be another big loss in a short amount of time for me and my fur family. Yesterday was a long and tough day for me, not entirely because of Eli but just a swath of other life’s little things. The flowers and kind words made me think lovingly of the pets I’ve had to say goodbye to recently. The kindness that was extended to me made the thoughts of the stressful day just fade away. I care for all of my pets dearly and Broadway staff have always done the same. Thank you for taking great care of my animals health and my spirit also. With all our hearts, Katie Preacher, Barley and formally China and Eli

Broadway Vet has always been our preferred veterinary hospital. Extremely nice staff, very compassionate and easy to work with. When we moved to SLC for a year, we missed them and were happy to bring our pets back.

Charissa Bujak

Great place with super knowledgable doctors. My rabbit received excellent care at an affordable price. The doctors even kindly clipped her nails when I forgot to ask about it. I am so thankful for their caring and super skilled work. This will always be my #1 vet place. Thanks again!

Joseph Newton

If pets are part of the family, why take them to just anybody? Nope.....take them to Broadway Vet, because Broadway Vet Loves Your Pet

Ben Moore

Broadway has been our vet for the last 3-4 years since we got our dog. The service has always been friendly and helpful and the care that we've had has been good. While I haven't shopped around on price, I am always surprised how much it costs for essentially a "well check" and vaccination.

This is the first vet office I feel comfortable taking my dog to. The staff is very nice, my dog is less stressed when I take her here. She doesn't Bark at anyone which is a huge! And doesn't feel like she has to defended me. Her tail actually wags when she comes here. They have helped us deal with my dogs ear infection, food allergies and now her stitches. My dog is very high maintenanced, She has seen more vets the I've seen doctors in my life not even kidding. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I would just like to say thank you so much.

Nicole Stanford

So a nurse and a former vet tech walk into vet clinic.....If we could give 0 stars, we would. My dog got bit by my friends dog, and when we showed up for the appointment we got told that because they had 6 walk ins they wouldn't be able to fit us in today. They did offer to have us drop off both our dogs. (The one who got bit, and the one who bit her). Sounds smart right? We both said absolutely not. We would like to see the vets ourselves as my dog was very shaken up and scared and the wounds were covered by hair, and hers had a history now of aggression. They asked to have us reschedule for tomorrow. We both said no. They then somehow "squeezed" us in. I never saw a vet, the vet tech came out to collect my history in the waiting room in front of everyone in there. Micheal (the vet tech), then decided to try and take my dog back to the "treatment room" to see the vet. I asked specifically if I could go back with and he said it was a "liability". I said since when do we not get a room and meet the vet personally?! He replied "since always, it's a liability issue". He then slowly understood that I was not going to give my dog to him without being roomed first. He then found a room and went and talked to the vet, who then came and found me and said it will be a whilllleeee before you see a vet if you choose to keep her in here and she'll have to go back there anyway. Somehow he swindled my dog out of my arms and took her back to the "treatment room", they took at least 30mins to even come see me. Micheal then came back to my room and said "you don't have to stay in here, she will come find you with her recommendations." Again I have never met the vet nor do I know her name. When the vet finally came into the room, she never introduced herself, I saw her for all of 2 mins. She said she couldn't irrigate one of the wounds because my dog wouldn't let her nor would she let her finish shaving the one spot, and said if you saw any tunneling she needs surgery. Yup surgery is the best option, you could treat with just antibiotics buttttt it won't work and I'll have you come in, in 2-3 days to check it out. We will draw up the two estimates for you and with that she left. The vet tech came back to "discuss" my options, when I asked technical questions like what type of drain, what do you think my outcomes would look like if....he had no idea. In fact my friend answered more of my questions than he could and he then acted like he was going to hand his clipboard over to my friends and stated " do you want my job instead? You know more than I do." I then signed for the more conservative route and found the vet in the hallway where she then asked what I decided. When she was informed she pretty much said that was a terrible choice, that she needed surgery, oh and she has a pulmonary contusion (no X-rays had been done), she's gonna be in a world of pain and that she "can't go on hikes, nor can she be picked up, she had to have been shaken". Sounds legit right?! No, pulmonary contusions are diagnosed by X-rays....sounds like a great idea to put her under anesthesia right?! No! When I asked her for an irrigation tray to take home so I can irrigate myself she said absolutely not, she wouldn't let me do it, you can't do it, in fact I don't recommend it. Then she walks off. The vet had prescribed pain meds, and an antibiotic ointment and supposedly gave her a $70 antibiotic injection. Honestly have no idea if she gave it because they did nothing in front of us. I then asked the front desk when she would like to see her again and they said, "looks like she doesn't recommend any follow up and that she believes it will heal just fine". By the way the conservative route was $185 and the surgery was around $400. The vet visit was 2hrs. I bought some normal saline, gave her pain meds and have successfully irrigated her wounds numerous times now. I found out the vets name is Dawn Sessions off of the prescription bottle she gave me and my overall impression is that she wanted to rip us off. See Ashley's review for the other half of the experience.

Judy Butlin

My husband and I have been taking our pets to Broadway Vet for over 20 years. They are very professional, friendly, and most of all they care about your pets. I would recommend them very highly.

Brooke Warthen

Okay but I'm so thrilled with this place that I just have to write a second review. This is a follow-up review of Vanessa Black and the Russian Tortoise named Ned. OH MY GOSH GUYS!! This place is so kind and caring! First of all, they sent me a letter with a $20 coupon in it that I can use for my next visit. That's probably standard procedure but it was very cute and I liked it Second of all, as of today, the second of August 2019, I got a second letter from them. I say letter, it's a postcard. The postcard was from Dr. Peina or Reina, I can't really read cursive, very sorry. But the postcard said that it was a pleasure to meet my beautiful baby boy Ned and that they hope he's doing well. That made me feel so loved and appreciated, like it's not just another veterinary clinic and I'm just another patient. They *actually* care. I'm very pleased and incredibly happy to have gone to them. 110% going back. =)

The staff & doctors at Broadway Vet are top notch they actually care about your pet and it shows. We’ve been taking our fur babies there for almost a decade even though we have to drive across town. The staff always make you and your pets feel welcomed. We love them!!!

K G

I love Broadway Vet! Dr. Baldwin and the techs are always so patient with me and my Nervous Nelly dog. The receptionists always do their very best to accommodate my schedule, and your app is outstanding (especially for scheduling appointments and for medication reminders)! Our appointments are always on schedule and it seems like Dr. Bladwin meets us in the exam room prepared for the evaluation almost immediately after we check-in. I leave each appointment with all of my questions answered, educated and fully informed of risks and benefits on any treatment recommendations (including alternative options), and confident in the medical necessity of those recommendations. My trust in your office has been significantly enhanced as a result of your attentive billing procedures. Any treatment or procedures recommended are carefully itemized for my review and approval before being implemented. Your fees are transparent and I have never been surprised by an amount billed. In the extremely rare event I decline a treatment plan, I never feel pressured or guilted into changing my mind. I truly believe that Broadway Vet really does love my pet.

Tina Kinn

We recently took our dog into the vet because she was super sick and we had to put her to sleep. They were very compassionate and sincere. I have always had great service and would highly recommend Broadway Vet.

People there are so nice & very good with animal, I want to say thank you for helping me out tonight with my kitty. ☺

Duh you guys rock,

Scott Stanger

Just had an underwhelming experience here. Today was a follow up visit for my dog's eye - after the vet told us there would be more meds because the eye wasn't healed, they kept us waiting for an additional 20 minutes after the vet was already meeting with another "patient". When the front counter person finally said she would check us out, I asked where my dog was and she said "Oh, I'll let them know once I get you checked out". Really? You are keeping my dog just to make sure the bill gets paid? (BTW, my wife was with me, so any dog distraction excuses would be lame.) Ridiculous facility. Won't go there again.

Don Day

So disappointed. On two occasions the doctors did a forced upsell on me. The first time it was heart worm service - even though the doctor admitted he'd only seen one case in two years. On the second occasion, they charged me for a consult they said would be free; aggressively worked to upsell me to have a tooth removed (not needed); put blood work on my payment invoice they didn't tell me about; put the tooth removal on the proposal AFTER I said no (offering a 10% discount to "help"). I love my dog more than anything. I'll do anything for her. Unfortunately it seems Broadway Vet plays on that for upsells. I will NOT be back.

Mia Straubhar

We've been taking our pets here for quite some time, and recently had to put down our 11 year old dog here. Every person working there was so kind and patient, and talked us through everything in terms we would understand and helped us through it. They let us hold her, and it was sad but very calm in a way. She wasn't scared or panicked, and she went peacefully in our arms. They offered many services and even sent us flowers in memory of Ruby, something that was so sweet it actually brought me to tears. They truly care about their patients and their owners, and are extremely kind and knowledgable. The vets and people working there truly love animals and it shows in the way they treat their patients. I love this place and would recommend them to anyone looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable vet.

Crystal Bissell

Broadway vet is the best! I have taken our pets there for a long time! All the vets are kind, experienced and very knowledgeable.

Kelly Luff

I needed help with my chicken and was relieved to find a vet with experience available. I was a new client, but they found an appointment for me on the same day which was a Sunday. Dr Baldwin took the time to understand the situation and explained all my options, then guided me down the best path. I was grateful to have found Broadway Vet and the staff for their treatment of me as a new client and to my chicken as a pet. RIP Big Red

Kendall Bauer

Took our bengal cat to have shots, microchip, and teeth looked at. Upon initial arrival staff seemed incredibly friendly and the facilities looked great. But once we got into a room our thoughts of the office quickly soured. My cat is not violent or aggressive. He has his nails trimmed and hardly any teeth. But the vet tech was nearly petrified of my cat because he hissed once while he was exploring the room. Once the doc came in, she quickly glanced at his teeth and said she needed to take him to another room for his shots and microchip without myself or my boyfriend being present. What vet takes the animal away from the comfort of their owners?!? Once he was returned to us, they said that they were unsuccessful at getting the microchip in and we should do it during a unnecessary $900 teeth cleaning because he would be sedated. Will not be back. Greedy people and poor animal handling skills. Extremely unsatisfied.

Alfred Azaola

I will never return to this clinic. I was told by several people this clinic was no good, however it was very conveniently located, and we were worried sick about our dogs injury so we went there first thing in the morning. Anyways, the facility appears nice, and we are new dog owners so I didn't really know what to expect. The clinic appears to have a great number of people on staff walking around chatting, but we had a very long wait time in both the lobby and our room. 2nd, the room we were in seemed like wasted space, almost awkwardly large, not a big deal though. Then, the shocking news was the Vet told us "I don't know what to do" essentially making us feel as though any positive outcome would be completely hopeless. Nothing worse than being a new dog owner, scared for its well being, and be told "I don't know what to tell you" from a "trained professional." It was very disturbing. The costs was outrageous but we didn't know any better at the time, like I said, we are very new dog owners. Then, we went to another local vet for a 2nd opinion several hours later and were amazed at their service , knowledge and professionalism compared to Broadway Vet. Honestly to the point where we questioned the vet's training at Broadway Vet. Either these people are completely incompetent or just lack of overall veterinary knowledge. Honestly, pretty shocking. I have to say I am amazed they are able to stay in business. After this experience, and then talking with several people who have been there as well, definitely NEVER going back to this place.

It's quite obvious that that Broadway Vet is more concerned with how much they can squeeze out of their customers rather than the care of their patients. If the owner would like me to elaborate....you have my number. (One week later) I made the switch to Companions just down the road on Broadway. My old dog got much better care. Wish I had gone there years ago.

Jonathan Salisbury

Dear Broadway Vet, This letter goes out to ALL the staff at your clinic. Last night we brought in our 13 year old yellow lab, Kenai. She had been slowly declining over the last year, but last night she took a sudden turn for the worse. Even though we knew this day would come, we were not prepared for it. We brought her down, even though we did not have an appointment and even though it was 30 minutes before you closed for the day. Gwen greeted us and there was no hesitation; she let us bring her right back to the Cowboy Room. Dr. Reina saw us after only a few minutes, and she took her time, examined Kenai. spoke to us, and gave us all the options on the board. Ultimately, we decided it was best to put her to sleep. You never once made it seem like an inconvenience or that we were keeping you late, from your own families, or evening plans. Carla, offered very kind words to us about her own experience losing her dog, which helped a lot. Afterward, you let us have as much time with her as we needed. I'm sure it was an effort to juggle trying to fit us in, and we realize that. Thank you. It was very evident that everyone there genuinely cared and was respectful of our situation. Kenai was the first dog that our 8 year old daughter lost. The first one is always the toughest (Though it was probably the toughest for my wife and I too). I believe because of your caring and sincere nature, the experience was the best possible one for our daughter, considering the circumstances. It is a tough job to handle, losing a pet, especially when dealing with grieving families. You made us and Kenai feel cared for and that we were the only ones that mattered at that moment in time. That is the hallmark of sincere, caring people. Even in mine and my wife's own jobs, as a medical professional and in law enforcement, we deal with similar situations. Everyone's caring nature there last night goes to reaffirm how we need to act in our jobs when those situations arise, so thank you for that. You all do an exceptional job and it shows. Thank you again.

Amy Woody

Broadway Vet has some of the nicest people!! I chose them because they were close by, but now I couldn't imagine taking my kitty anywhere else. It's always clean, well staffed, and overall top-notch. Two thumbs WAY up.

Jerome Perner

I am writing this review in defensive of Dr Sessions who another writer said was not compassionate. She was compassionate, and went out of her way to help me locate a pharmaceutical co that sold a drug for my dog. The only company was located in Canada, and she led me to it. I will forever be grateful for her involvement. I do not go to this vet, however, because of a technician who argued with me about my choice to leave my male dog intact. I had read the ill effects of neutering a male dog; and my dog is with me at work and all day long. I am a responsible pet owner, and neutering ones dog is a choice. Anyway, even though I no longer go to this vet I still believe that Dr. Sessions is a decent person and a descent vet.

The whole staff is amazing. I love the up front estimate. Front desk staff is energetic and very responsive. They treat my golden, Ruby, as if she were their own.

Very caring and professional veterinary office. The doctors and staff are all great. The office is spacious and clean. My dog is never anxious going there. We trusted Dr. Baldwin with his recent surgery and he seems to be doing very well. Broadway Vet is our first choice for pet care in Boise.

I just got a new cat from the shelter and he wasn't doing too well. I called Broadway Vet and they understood the urgency, so they got him in immediately. Dr. Caldwell and his staff are clearly animal lovers and treated him very well despite his extreme fear of being in a strange place with no one that he was familiar with. They quickly brought us to an examination room and handled him with care (he was freaking out...I have no idea how they were able to give him an antibiotic injection and keep all of their skin!) Our other cat comes here, too. And we'll keep coming back.

We lost our pet suddenly last week. When the staff at Broadway Vet had heard, they sent us a flower arrangement with their condolences. I can't express how much this meant to me and my family. It's so nice to know that they cared about our fur baby and our family enough to do this, and that Ramsey wasn't just some animal. We will definitely take our future pets to Broadway. Many thanks to the staff for going above and beyond.

We recently moved one of our dogs to Broadway Vet because we live so close to it but have been delightfully surprised by how much we love them. They have long hours, a menagerie of pets, give out free themed bandanas, and are extremely caring. My dog is showered with affection when he goes there and loves it. I also really appreciate how they have approached my dog’s health. They’ve been cautious of invasive surgery which I am appreciative of and instead we have tried other methods of treatment. We have yet to take the entire family there but I only expect to enjoy future visits as well. Thank you Broadway Vet!

Great Place to take your pets. They care and do a wonderful job and let you know everything that's going on, so you have can make the right decision for your pet!

It's now 2017 and we've been with Broadway Vet yet another year. I can't express the words I have for all the staff here. Like 2016's review, I wish I could leave 10+ stars, no a trillion stars for them. Our dogs are getting older, and Lucky, the older of our two, is now going on 14 or 15 years old (we've honestly lost count). This past year, we've had to adjust to his aging issues and Broadway Vet has been with us for this ride. For example, we started a monthly series of shots for Lucky to help alleviate some of his arthritis and mobility issues at their suggestion, and it is helping. We also started to run into some issues where Lucky was not able to safely use the ramp in and out of our SUV. We expressed this to Broadway Vet at one of our visits. The result--two staff members (I wish I could remember there names, I'm so sorry), came out to the SUV and showed me and my husband how to work as a team and lift Lucky in and out of the vehicle safely. So, now the ramp is gone, and this is how we get him in and out. This technique has really helped us and made it easier to take Lucky out (with his sister, Brooklyn, our 12 year old cattle/beagle mix dog), they love their times out with us for car rides and walks in the local parks. Lucky just needs a little help here and there. Broadway Vet's compassionate care and assistance didn't stop there. To continue to meet Lucky's aging challenges, we tried other 'aids', including a pet stroller for older dogs and knee braces that we purchased online. We needed some guidance with these items and showed up on separate occasions to Broadway Vet. Without any appointment, Dr. Reina took the time in between her busy schedule to assist us with her 'hands-on' approach. She actually got down on her knees at Lucky's level and put the knee braces herself on Lucky, showing us how to do it and educating us on proper fit. The other time, when we showed up with the pet stroller, Dr. Reina not only did a quick safety check on the stroller, but showed us, again first-hand, how to get Lucky into it safely by lifting him (with the help of my husband) into the stroller. Now, Lucky can continue to enjoy the longer Sunday walks we talk through local parks when he gets tired by living like king and getting 'strolled' around when he gets tired. As for our other dog, Brooklyn continues to fight kidney disease and some other ailments, but Broadway Vet (staff and doctors) have been vigilant with us and we are doing a fairly good job of maintaining a good quality of life for her as well. Looking at Brooklyn, you wouldn't know she had all the health issues she has, she's always so full of energy. It's like a homecoming each time we visit. Staff greets us with a smile and, if they know us, takes the time to chat when time allows, of course. I enjoy watching Dr. Sessions converse with my husband like she's known him forever,. Vet techs/assistants/desk staff, etc. many who I do know by face but not always remember their names (like Carla, Gwen, Tom, to name a few) make us feel welcome and inquire about our 'puppies' (alright, Lucky and Brooklyn will always be puppies at heart to us). And other doctors, like Dr. Caldwall, whom our dogs haven't actually been seen by for a while (Dr. Reina is our regular, though we would be honored to see any of them), remembers us all and greets us like we just seen him yesterday. This is just how it is at Broadway Vet. And, just so I get this tidbit in here, another big reason (from a practical standpoint) that I love Broadway Vet is because there are no economic surprises. We are ALWAYS provided with suggested treatment options/medicines/etc. and are always given the most cost-effective estimates (in writing) BEFORE we make any care decisions for our pets. Cost of care is very reasonable, so if you add in the compassionate support and care (as I've already expressed), Broadway Vet is priceless. Thanks for all you do and who you are, each and every day!

Honestly, such a great veterinary. I took my 16 year old dog to West Vet for an emergency and they treated us terribly. Broadway Vet treated him well, didn't try to get us to run unnecessary tests and exams, and actually treated his symptoms. I'm very thankful for everything they did for him.

I cannot express how thankful I am for Dr. Sessions and her staff. Our regular vet was out of the office, and after calling several vets around town, and finding nobody willing to work on our fennec fox, we called Broadway Veterinary Hospital. When your babies are sick, the last thing you want to hear is "We won't see him" or "The vet doesn't feel comfortable working on the fox." Dr. Sessions saw us the same day we called, was gentle, and sweet, thorough, and listened carefully to our concerns. We have a follow up exam next week, and the whole staff was friendly, and welcoming. I would recommend Broadway Veterinary Clinic to anyone who is searching for a compassionate, professional animal hospital.

I have taken my Cane Corso in there a number of times. Usually people are quite intimidated by him, I have had some bad vet visits at other places. But the staff at Broadway has always been warm and confident in handling him. They always let me know how wonderful my pup is, which really warms my heart. I don’t ever worry about him when they have to take him away to do his check ups. I trust he is in good hands. He still loves walking in those doors, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Their estimates before treatment are also very helpful.

Great Place! Great People! Great Care! Great Pets!

They took very good care of my Russian Tortoise. I felt cared for and respected. However! It was a bit on the expensive side but that’s just me. I got a beak trim and a wellness check for 112 dollars. Apparently an exotic wellness check is 80 something dollars. Be prepared for that. Despite the price, the staff was very friendly and the environment is comforting. They have a nice little platter of cookies and coffee in the waiting room and the whole area seems very clean. =)

We needed care for my dog on a Sunday morning. This clinc was open and so warm and welcoming. I am beyond thrilled with the service we were given. The staff was so kind to both my dog and our human family. I won't go any where else now!

After my lab's ACL surgery, the compassion and professionalism Dr, Caldwell and everyone at Broadway Vet showed our pup & us couldn't possibly be matched. I will never put my pets in the hands of any other Veterinary hospital. Broadway Vet has won us over for good.

We recently visited Broadway Vet due to an emergency situation with our dog, Murphy. It was Martin Luther King Jr. day, we had no appointment, and we had never visited this clinic before, yet our dog was taken back and seen almost immediately. They provided him with excellent care, never did anything without permission, and didn't try and sell us on any unnecessary testing, procedures, or medications. They also provided information on what to do if something like this ever happened again. We are so thankful for them and the care they provided. They were caring, professional, and incredibly empathetic. Murphy made a full recovery, and we will most definitely be back, hopefully under more routine circumstances!

If I could give more stars, I would! I run an assisted living. At the end of one's life, the last thing that you want to see happen is for them to loose a pet. But the harsh reality is that it happens. Dr Sessions and crew swooped in and assisted me in a very sad and difficult situation. When I saw the compassion and tears shed on they're part, I knew that I had found a vet clinic for life. I recommend Broadway Vet to all of my friends families and residents
