I randomly chose Broadway Vet Clinic because it was close to home but it has turned out to be the best vet clinic I've ever used. They are reasonably-priced, caring, attentive and accommodating. The staff is amazing, doctor is very relatable and knowledgeable, and I've used their boarding services several times and been very pleased. I highly recommend this place!

My favorite vet of all Idaho falls. They are affordable and very friendly with my pibbles! The vet even took the time to pet her and calm her before listening to her with his stethoscope after a thermometer reading scared her. I have recommended time again and will continue to go here.

Hands down the very best veterinary clinic in Idaho Falls. We have been taking our dogs here for 3 years. Just recently on our way out of town for vacation, we stopped there with our dog who had had a tumor hanging out of her and they got her in and removed it so we could get on the road. We didn't have an appointment but, they got her in and took care of us. They are low cost, they give you many options when they can, to help save you money, they don't hound you about updating your dogs vaccinations(we should be doing that anyway.) Dr. Gillespie is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. His father and others in his family are also vets so it is really a passion of theirs not just a money making business. He is a down to earth, cool and easy going guy with a caring but, pragmatic bedside manner. The front desk staff and vet assistants are very friendly and accommodating too. I highly recommend Broadway Clinic! One more thing. they always have funny messages on their sign out front. Good people!

Something was horribly wrong with our cat Gina. I called frantic watching her have spasms. We were told to bring her right in. Everyone at Broadway Veterinary Clinic was so kind to us. We had to have our sweet girl put down. They were very patient, kind and respectful as we processed the diagnosis and made the awful decision to let our Gina go. They even brought a blanket to put over her to keep her warm. We could not have been treated better.

I chose them for my cat to get fixed 2 years ago. We were so impressed. I even think they saw one of our dog before. This week I took my 11 year old dog in. They are so supportive when you need it the most. I don't feel they are in it for the money like other vets. They have a big heart towards animals. I would recommend them in a heart beat!

I just requested my dog’s vaccinations to board in another location. On her records it states “No more boarding per Luke. P constant diarrhea in kennel, stressed colitis?” I had no idea there was a problem...maybe caused by the vaccinations they gave her which she didn’t need?! They misread her vaccination records from her vet and gave her all of them!! Then they tried to bill me for these. But really if my dog was having a problem, why would they not contact me or even let me know when I picked her up? Never again at this kennel or with this vet!!

Have to say, I wouldn't recommend this clinic, at least not for small birds or potentially other smaller animals that they're more prone to being dismissive of. The first time I went in, the receptionist I was talking to made a ""joking"" comment about how if you, "just look at budgies wrong they'll die". She's in a professional setting, I was there to pay money for a check-up because I care about my pets, there's no solid excuse for her making such flippant commentary like that towards a customer. By no means do I want to hear someone I'm paying laughing carelessly about my relatively healthy and young budgies dying on me. Especially as someone who lives with my own medical issues such as PTSD and autism, I'm not the best at keeping eye contact or not mumbling when speaking with new people face to face. That still doesn't excuse the woman's vaguely passive aggressive attitude, both during my first visit to book the appointment and then later when I came in around a week later. The doctor who saw my birds didn't even seem aware of the fact you can quickly tell the sexes apart based off the cere coloration on their faces. He was supposedly an "avian expert" of some sort but I got the impression he'd only really worked with farm animals like chickens. They seemed too afraid of being bitten by the bird's relatively tiny beaks, when even at full strength feel about on the level of a hard pinch. Chasing them around the cage with a cloth really wasn't necessary and only served to really stress both of them out. I noticed the woman who'd been handling them gripped the birds around their chests instead of using an adjusted bird tamer's grip to accommodate for breathing room (especially with a budgie's whole lack of a diaphragm). They blamed their poor handling on the cage doors, despite the fact I've used that cage plenty of times with my own arms and not needed to jostle everything around in that manner. The avian vet tossed me some sort of generic pamphlet about budgerigars, nothing I didn't already know after the studying I've been doing and talking with aviary educators lately. They assumed my green budgie had been tamed at a pet store instead of the fact that I'd hand tamed her myself? It basically served to show that he couldn't be bothered to start an actual chat with me to figure out what I did or didn't know. The pamphlet he gave me isn't too far off from the basic information you'd find on the shelf at a local PetSmart. It also included some fairly flawed information about how wings "should be clipped", without taking housing or anything else into account. That's not even touching on the fact that clipping birds tends to lead to decreased self esteem, energy levels, capability to exercise, and general long term happiness. The short version would be: You might want to go somewhere else for bird care, if possible. I ended up spending $70 to get both of my birds majorly stressed out by careless staff and to get their nails trimmed without making either of them bleed in the process, which I easily could've just done at home for free. I expected an actual check-up to be more than weighing my birds and doing some trimming but I wasn't given any proper information on what a check-up entailed. The vet had mentioned taking a fecal sample to check for parasites but it hadn't even occurred to him to take any from their travel cage right on the table, considering budgies already poop around every fifteen or so minutes anyway. All in all, a disappointing and flustering experience. I probably won't be going in again.

I recently moved back to Idaho Falls from Pocatello where I went to 4 different Vets for my 1 year old pup. This last weekend my little pup jumped off of a dog house and cut her arm open on the metal roof (Her fur/Hyde and skin was ripped off and showing the tendon looking pink "meat", leaving me one terrified mama and an already very anxious doggy who was now hurt) . Being that it was a weekend and no vets are open and I do not have the means for an emergency visit I called first thing Monday and they got us in right then. The two ladies at the front desk were fabulous considering how terrified and wild my dog was from the car ride (She suffers from severe anxiety from cars and strongly dislikes going into the vet, she loves the people but she has very bad anxiety) Dr. Gillespie was VERY prompt, Friendly and answered all of my questions and then some, he made sure Piper was calm before he examined her and did not leave the room until he knew everything I was worried about was taken care of. Out of all of the many vets I have taken my dog to in the last 14 months he has really helped and not just tried to get us to purchase everything that is not needed, put her on medication and put in the time to get to know us and our dog. 10/10 for the Vet himself, the ladies who helped us with the appointment and the reasonable price! As mentioned my pup is 1 year and very anxious and as a pet mom I want to know that I am taking her somewhere that has her best interest in mind. All of the staff was very compassionate, quick and professional and that is so comforting. I will be taking my dog back there for all future vet needs and definitely recommend as of this point.

I took my dog to get a spot checked on his foot the vet was the most insensitive person I've ever met he came out and told me my dog has cancer he wouldn't be able to remove it here some steroids will let you know what level cancer he has have a great day. So I called back a few days later they never sent it into a lab then I'm told my dog needs surgery in seven days the vet never told me that. They are a waste of time and if your dog God for bid ends up with cancer they don't care!

We brought our beloved Koda in today for what we thought was a sprained leg. To our surprise she had a type of bone cancer and had to have her put to sleep. The Dr. As well as the staff were so sincerely caring and helpful with us having to deal with this terrible loss it was truly heartfelt. I will recommend this office to any and everyone I come into contact with. And to everyone at the clinic today, my wife and I thank you for your kindness and compassion. Always felt like the Dr. we had at all appointments(but one), was annoyed by my questions and itching to get out of the door before making sure I understood all the information. He diagnosed my dog with diabetes and cataracts and sent me home after briefly having a tech show me how to give injections and she unable to answer all my questions. Before scheduling,I would call ahead to get all possible prices for possible tests and for the visit-,every time I went to check out the price was multiplied in price. One time I will credit the receptionist for being kind enough to ask to take off the additional cost as they had not quoted me that. Most of the time even going in to get diabetic supplies they never had enough help, short staffed, and could hear our doctor yell at the techs to help him. I did like the other Vet there. Saw him one time, I don’t think he works as often as the other one. I guess in the end, I was looking for a Vet to not just give me a diagnosis- but to explain everything at a slow pace with laymen’s terms I could understand. The only explanations I got were short and brief and said very quickly in technical terms only he would understand. Having a pet be diagnosed with a chronic illness is a big issue, and takes a long time to understand. Also, the glucose meter they wanted me to get was thru them and double the cost I could have gotten it on Amazon. And, when I opened it, one of its ports looked fried and melted and was unusable. They did give me a refund ( the other Vet) so that’s the second reason I will give two stars and not one. The last appointment I had I was grateful for the vet adding eye drops into the regimen to help my dog, but the technique he expected me to do at home to draw blood on my dog was ridiculous and unable to do without help/more guidance Lastly, when I did choose to try another Vet, they were able to tell me about a complication they suspected she was having based on her original bloodwork from Broadway Vet. They were able to do a smaller but specific panel to confirm. Thank Goodness, she’s been so much better! Everything at Broadway as far as tests and even ongoing supplies and care for a chronic illness was priced above other Veterinary Hospitals. I don’t think they are horrible at Broadway, but from my experience they seem to only want to deal with clients who come in and go for annual and the once in a while sickness or injury to treat. They don’t seem to be equipped with enough staff to be able to give the doctor enough time to spend with patients with chronic ongoing illnesses. Nor does the rest of the staff seem to be all that knowledgeable about at least diabetes.... Obviously there wasn’t a personal connection I felt with anyone there or that they were truly invested in training and educating me and seeing my dog get managed and stabilized. I don’t want to completely dissuade anyone from going there... only to give a warning to those pet parents of pets with ongoing illness to just make sure they get the sort of care they and their pet are entitled to. P.S. Broadway Vet, I have seen on all your negative reviews you have aggressively replied and tried to de credit the opinions of your paying clients. True that you have that right. However, seems to me that if you have to do that every time someone has a complaint, then it show two things about you. One, that you truly aren’t willing or open to question if in any way at all you possibly could be responsible for the outcome your ex clients were hurt by. And if you aren’t willing to accept any responsibility for those outcomes, then you really aren’t connecting with your clients or the care you leave them with.... that is bad business when having people pay you for quality of care and bedside manner. And two, that if you always have to have the last word and defend yourself, it makes you look defensive and aggressive... like you are already guilty or bullying. People who have nothing to hide, hide nothing and find no need to argue about things that hold no merit or truth. Wish you the best

Friendly staff but horrible vet. He read from a medical book cause apparently he didn't know anything about snakes even though they are a exotic/small animal clinic. He never examined, picked up or really even look at my snake at all and instantly put her on an antibiotic. Glad to say I did not use the medication, I went to a reptile friend and she was way more useful. My snake is 110% better and full of life!

I went in with my 2 bigger dogs. I took off work because they only had appointments earlier in the day. When I went in there they hadn't even scheduled my appointment and the girl acted as of she did not even remember me. Trying to work it out I explained to her that I had already taken off of work to come in. As they tried to figure out what went wrong I asked about a form of payment that they said they accepted and she said they did not accept it yet. It became a huge ordeal and I ended up walking out and scheduling my appointment at a different clinic.

Broadway vet has always been my go-to for my two cats. They have seen the vets there that always address their needs in a timely manner, and are always kind and very informative about what needs to be done and what has been done for my cats. They are also not too hard on the wallet which comes in handy with a cat that needs to be seen routinely. Boarding prices were a little pricey compared to other options, however I wouldn't trust my babies with anybody else.

Both of my dogs wound up needing a surgery within a few weeks of each other and there was no way I would have been able to afford both so close to each other at my previous vet. A few years ago when one of my dogs had an ear infection I visited the broadway vet for the first time and I was so impressed with them over the course of my dogs' recovery that I switched both of them over to broadway for their primary care. The only thing I'm not always impressed by is their staff. They can seem a bit irratable and snappy at times. I guess everyone is at times though

Our puppy injured his right rear leg Christmas Eve while we were visiting family for Christmas. We took him to an ER and they splinted the leg and sent us home with an advisory to see our local vet. We did not have on yet but someone recommended Broadway Veterinary. These people we're awesome. Loved the vet. He answered all our questions about neutering, shots and his leg problems. He took off the splint and our pup had no trouble walking around on it so we were sent home and told to keep an eye on it. He's not 100% but doing ok. I would definitely recommend them.

I wouldn't recommend this clinic. I brought my puppy in for shots, and being a first time dog owner I had a lot of questions, but the vet had no interest in answering any of them. I made the mistake of taking my puppy in for his second round of shots, this time the vet tech took him in the back and brought him out quickly, so again I had no chance to ask questions. The second round of shots made my puppy so sore that I couldn't even touch him. It would've been so helpful for them to let me know he would feel under the weather for a few days... Really disappointed.

Don't go here. I took my cat for a kidney problem. They claimed they gave him fluids, which they didn't. Then, a week later, tried to bill me for blood work they claimed to have done and never told me about. Within two weeks, my best bud, my cat was dead. Don't take your pets here, especially if they're sick. They'll fleece you and not even give your pets proper treatment.

We had a very good experience heading to this vet. It was our first appointment there, and the first time I took my new pup to the vet. Both the nurses and doctor were very nice and professional. The doctor was very upfront with me about dew claws, feed, and the pricing was upfront. Only thing keeping me back, was some bloody mess near the scale, which they promptly cleaned up, but it did freak my lil pup out a bit.

Please consider thinking twice taking your pet to Broadway Vet in Idaho Falls to let your fur baby pass away peacefully. We got there and they weighed Ethan and put us in a room to wait for the doctor. We waited over 30 minutes. Ethan was shaking so I put my coat around him holding his paw and carefully petting him with the other hand. Finally, the doctor decides to come in and says there was emergencies but not once did a member of the staff let us know what was taking so long waiting to have to do a painful procedure. He shaves his front paw and misses! Ethan yelps, cry’s, and flips trying to get away. Trying to calm him and sooth him while they shave his back leg. The vet injects him with the medicine. Holding him and speaking words to him I know he can’t hear me speak. (Ethan was deaf) I hear the vet say oh I didn’t give him enough, let me go get some more. By now I’m shattered and wishing I never came here. Shaving his other back leg and three pokes later I see his blood on three kleenexes, holding my beautiful boy while my souls screams out in agony. My baby boy didn’t deserve to leave this world like that. Talking to my cousin her in-laws had a similar experience and other owners had other experiences that made them never return. He did say sorry but that means nothing to me. This is his profession and his business. No excuses for not giving him enough when they weighed him first. His staff didn't even give us much time before coming in to take him so they could use the room again. They didn't say we had to leave but barging in like they did spoke volumes for me. Plus they gave me false information yesterday about picking up his ashes. I'm mortified!! Please friends think twice about taking them there. It’s my last act in protecting and speaking for my boy. May he fly high as the beautiful angel he is as he is just so very special to me forever.

Make sure you get a firm quote on services in writing because prices jump up for no apparent reasons. Dr's are great. Staff was wishy washy on conversations and knowledge. I was told on the phone that laparoscopy surgery was used for spay and neuter but when I got to my appointment to confirm they completely recanted their words and made this procedure very complicated. What else is new right every vet in this area practices this form of deception in their "wonderful pet care". Just make sure and don't trust the worthless office staff to tell you the truth. Sorry Dr Luke but you need to get more involved in what your missguilded staff is doing. Last I remember this was your business not theirs.

My Lab pup contracted Salmon Poisoning Desease (SPD) by licking the blood of a harvested Steelhead and would have killed him with out prompted treatment.Thank you so much for taking care of Reb, he's feeling much better.
