There isn't a better vet out there. Last year a neighbor shot our 7 month old hound puppy in the face with a 22. The bullet went in under her bottom lip blowing out some of her bottom teeth and completely destroying her jaw. Dr Andrews and his team saved her life. They took out all of the bullet and bone fragments and made her a brand new jaw out of wire. She's as good as new. We have two hounds and see both Dr. Andrews & Dr. Davis. They've been our vet for years. They are amazing, caring and always affordable and honest. Joni the receptionist is sweet and helpful....it's like family.

GREATEST VET!!! This is hands down the best vet in the valley. From the second you walk in the door you feel like the staff is truly invested in your time and wants to help in any way they can!! My dog recently broke his femur and ultimately had to have his leg amputated and the entire process was SO easy and every single person there was incredibly kind and helpful. Dr Andrews specifically is not only an outstanding vet but just a really genuinely great person who cares about the animals and owners as well. I took my dog her last year for a dental. During her preblood work they noticed that her glucose was low. They first called my mom and then me to discuss the options. During my conversation with the vet they made me feel like this was not a problem. I never felt like it was against their advise to continue. They only asked if I wanted to continue. I did as my dog, Lucy did have teeth that need pulled. The did run an unknown test to see if they could discover the cause of her low glucose. Her dental did go fine, and I picked her up that Friday afternoon. She refused to eat the next few days and Sunday she collapsed and needed to be rushed to West Vet. It was discovered that she has Addisions. West Vet faxed the records over and had me follow up. I called them to let them know of the outcome. I asked for the results of the additional test that they did and no one could find them. One year later and I have never received them. I have been very disappointed in this follow up. I paid $200 for an unknown test with no results. I will not be back and will not recommend them. Their prices were very fair, but I felt like me and my dog fell through the cracks. The front office receptionist is always slammed on the phone. If Bench does decided to look into this, Lucy was brought in under my mother's name Elvira Sanchez-Parodi.

We consider our pets to be our babies so finding excellent veterinary care is important to us. We have taken 4 cats and 2 dogs to Bench Animal and have always received amazing treatment from them. One of our cats is diabetic, we have 2 on prescription food, and both our labs have allergies so we go to the vet a lot. Our dogs love going to the vet so much, they start going crazy when they realize where we’re going. In fact, I’ve taken in on their birthdays, just to get treats from Joanie, who spoils them rotten. We’ve used both Dr. Andrews and Dr. Davis and we find them compassionate and caring and their fees are extremely fair. They don’t make you feel pressured when offering treatment options. Joanie does an amazing job managing the front desk and gets our food and medication request ready in a timely manner.

Our first experience here when neutering our cats was fine, and we were pleased with our experience. Keep in mind my husband and I are very easy-going people and I very rarely leave negative reviews unless the experience really stuck out to me. However, when I had to bring my cat in for bladder crystals, it was entirely the opposite from our first experience. When I dropped him off, I received no explanation on what they would do with him. He had to be catheterized for four days, and if I wanted to get any information on how he was doing or what kind of examinations he received, I had to call myself. I received one call in total, and that is only because I requested that they let me know what they were going to do before they did it. Later, they would tell me I would receive a call back and hours later there was never a call. I would call back again to see if I could get any information and I was treated like I was an annoyance, when all I wanted to know was how my cat was doing. He had even managed to get out of his cone and chew through his catheter during the night and they didn’t feel it was necessary to tell me until I was in to pick him up. I am entirely disappointed with the level of courtesy I received, and my cat is still not well. After four days of hospitalization, I should not have to physically come in to make sure my cat is well. Other people seem to have positive experiences, and we did at first on the surface...however, we will be looking for another vet. Bench animal hospital, please improve your communication practices. Our animals are very important to us and we deserve to be treated with courtesy.

I will never use this business again! I was rudely made to feel all my cat's problems were my fault because supposedly she had horrible fleas even though she had received a flea treatment the week before.They barely examined her other than a temp- Vet said "I can't hear her heart she's purring too loud". and offered no other treatment or solutions even though her symptoms didn't just match fleas. After all this , all I got were more flea meds and a bill of over 150.00. I had to take her to another vet to get a diagnosis of congestive heart failure. Much longer and I would have lost my cat!

What an awful clinic. They are dirty, too busy to help, can not get an existing patient with ongoing problems seen in a timely manner. Very disappointing clinic and staff. Especially after spending $1000+ at this clinic. So glad I found a great clinic to take care of my fur babe.

We have been using Bench Animal Hospital for over 10 years, and have always been impressed by their caring and professional attitudes. For example - they stayed late on a Friday evening when we had an emergency (dog was injured badly by a barbed wire fence) they took care of the injury, and we never felt rushed. We have since moved out of the valley, but continue to use them because of the excellent care we receive. The doctors are very compassionate, and the vet techs are first class too, they seem to really enjoy their job and excel at it. Joni, the receptionist, is absolutely wonderful.

I have taken all my pets to them since I moved up to the Bench, I love it. Joni is always very talkative and friendly at check in. Dr. Andrews and Dr. Hunt are the two doctors I have seen, my only concern is sometimes they don't do all the vitals and checks and such in front of me, all the Techs but one seem to have an awesome outlook, one isn't necessarily unfriendly, just kinda apathetic. I know some people don't like seeing everything done but I like the most done with me in the room as possible (and no I wont complain how they are doing it, I just like to be there). They are very easy to work with, I would highly recommend!

My husband and I moved to the Boise Bench about a year ago from Meridian, along with our two dogs and a cat. Our previous Vet had given us an estimate for a surgical procedure for one of our dogs that seemed high, so we sought out a second opinion from the Bench Animal Hospital which is in proximity to our home. We were given an estimate that was about 75 percent less than the previous estimate, so we scheduled the urgent procedure immediately. It is our good fortune to say that the surgery was a complete success, and our dog has recovered nicely. We have since scheduled our other two pets for more routine services, and we have found that the Veterinarians at Bench Animal Hospital are extremely competent, with excellent bedside manner. Scheduling has been easy, and all services that we have obtained have been very reasonable. I am very grateful that I met the Office Manager, Joni, on the Facebook's Boise Bench Dwellers site. She is friendly and efficient as she multi-tasks in a very busy office practice. Thank you very much for all that you have done for us! :) Jan Proctor

The only experience I've had with this place is through the SNIP program that a friend partook in. During a routine, post-op check up, receptionists were beyond rude, they actually gaslighted my friend into thinking that her concern for her dog was invalid (despite the fact that he was swollen, in pain, and having panic attacks) and made the biggest fuss about not letting her be in the room with her dog while they examined him. They also NEVER gave her information on what to expect after the neutering (all vets I've gone to have given out paperwork or SOMETHING to explain what to expect and how to notice complications). The staff at Bench did none of that, and she had to ask questions (many of which they either brushed off or said "I don't know" and research for herself online to find the answers. To top it off, they botched the surgery, and her dog had to deal with being in severe pain for days longer than he should have, as well as additional medical treatment and pills (all of which she had to pay out of pocket). If this is how they treat the SNIP patients, I can only imagine that regular patients will be treated with equal disregard and contempt from the staff. The SNIP program is made to help low income families do their part in helping curb the growing dog population. They treated these low income patients as if they were an inconvenience, showing that they care little for the welfare of their pets or their patient's sanity. It's a shame that this vet clinic is at all associated with this amazing program. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Our English Bulldog developed severe stones. He was transferred to Bench Hospital from WestVet who diagnosed his problem. We have never been treated so well at Bench Hospital. The receptionist Joni was so on top of the office which was full of other pet owners. Our Emmitt was operated in and is doing so well. I cannot thank Dr. Andrews and staff enough. They saved our 3 year old sin with the black nose. Lol. So professional. I will never go anywhere else with any animal i own. Just the very very best in Boise.Thank You Boise Bench. I am beyond grateful to all of you!

These people have been good with all of our animals. Our small dog passed away and it was hard for us but we took her to the bench Animal Hospital to help with the grieving process and to have her cremated. They were very caring in this time of grief for us and even though it is not a positive thing to have a pet die it is nice to know that there are people out there that will help you with final processes

Called to schedule to have my 8 (almost 9) week old kitten neutered and was told by the receptionist that they will not fix any animal under 5 months despite his vet saying that as long as he is 8 weeks and 2lbs., he can be neutered. Every vet I have ever spoken to follows this rule. By 5 months old a male cat will be spraying and once they start even if they are fixed, they never stop. As for female cats, they go into heat starting at 4 months, and also spray and if they start won't stop. This vet was recommend through S.N.I.P., I will be notifying them of the information that I recieved today in regards to this office.

Since getting a dog 11 years ago, I've been to several vets in the Treasure Valley. Each has its pluses / minuses. I've chosen Bench Animal Hospital to be the primary vet for my pups for several reasons: 1. Dr. Rebekah Davis is knowledgeable, personable, and understanding. She talks WITH you, not down to you, partnering with you instead of lecturing you. 2. The pricing at this practice is very reasonable. Frankly, it's the best I've found. 3. The aides helping the doctors are also friendly and personable. There are some downsides, but in my opinion, they're tolerable. l 1. The practice is BUSY. Call, and you're going to be asked to be put on hold probably 75% of the time. (That said, think of a restaurant. If it's always busy, it means it's a good place!) 2. The waiting room is rather small, and the layout of the exam rooms being along a narrow path along the receptionist desk means there's a good chance you're squeezing through when your name is called. Owners of territorial dogs need to keep this in mind and try to keep their dogs restrained and away from this path. I drive farther to get to this place, but the quality of service and the pricing structure is worth it.

First time here and never going back. It was dirty and I had to wait forever past my appointment time. When we were finally seen, my dog was nervous and scared so she wouldnt go to the tech. The vet tech dragged her across the slick floor to put her on the table. No treats, no pets, no talking to her. The doctor didn't try to calm her down either or say hi or give treats. They were very impersonal and didn't make either of us feel welcome. And to top it off she was cleaning and prepping for the next before we were even out of the room! Booting us to the curb. They need to learn what customer service and quality care is. Never going back.

They were super sweet with both my dog and my little boy. Got me in last minute for a vaccination and we were priced very reasonable. Plan to switch to them as my full time vet right away.

I am obsessed with my pets, and there is no other place I would rather take them to fulfill their needs than Boise Bench Animal Hospital. Dr. Davis and the assistants do an amazing job with their work and you can tell that they are very passionate about animals. Last December, right before Christmas, I (unfortunately) had to have one of my pets euthanized. She and her assistant did an in-home visit and they were very reassuring and caring. It made the process a lot less painful, and I'm so grateful for that- and that I didn't have to take my dog to a place he would be afraid of for his last moments of life. I take my cats to B.B.A.H., too, (mainly for claw clippings, sometimes for checkups) and am always impressed with how easy of a process the assistants/doctor make it. I especially love the receptionist (Joni!), she does a FANTASTIC job and I love coming in and seeing her bright face and chatting with her about all the animals. She is really on the ball and has always made sure that everything is smooth, easy, and in order. I really, truly appreciate the staff at Boise Bench Animal Hospital and everything they do. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has a pet!
