So my husbands experience today was extremely good throughout the whole process until the end. Our dog is 14 years old, blind, and has a nervous disorder causing him to fear and snap at anyone that’s not his owners. With that being said they were all aware of that and handled him with the up most respect with the exception of one of their gals at the end of the day. My husband went to pick him and and she when she came back out front she said how bad of a dog he was and how naughty of a boy he was and overall being EXTREMELY disrespectful for something he has no control over. We felt that someone just insulted our child and that’s not okay in any circumstance. We were very happy with all the service we received with the exception of one employee. We just hope that the employee involved doesn’t treat any other animal that way.

The only place I will take all my pets with problems. My beagle kept getting nasty ear infections and we found out it was a food allergy. Changed the foods and 100 percent better compared to how he was.

One of our dogs fell ill while we were away on a cruise and had to be put on a prescription food. Not being from the area, and just passing through, I didn’t realize the local PetSmart didn’t carry the food I needed. The manager referred me here. Upon entering, I was promptly greeted and taken care of. Glad to know if we ever need a vet while in Pocatello, we are all set up with Alpine Animal Hospital.

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Went there on Monday because our puppy wasn't acting well and got told he was a bit under the weather and to keep an eye on him. That was $70! Today, when I checked on him at lunch he couldn't walk. Walked weird and then fell over! We immediately called and set up an appointment for 3:10 letting them know something was wrong. I asked about payment and the receptionist said it's not up to her and my husband (who would be bringing him because I had to go back to work) would receive a call saying if we could do a payment plan before the appointment. 2:40 rolls around and no call so my husband calls. The receptionist says sorry we didn't get told but we would not have to pay today! Great! My husband get there 3:05 so 5 minutes before the appointment and gets to the back and didn't even see the vet for another 25 minutes. During this 25 minutes my husband touched his paws and he yiped. We knew then it was his paws but wanted a professional opinion. The vet gets in and my husband tells him what's happening and that he's sure it's the paws. The vet looks at them and says he sees nothing and COMPLETELY disregarded my husbands concern and said it was his neck and that he'd need prescriptions since our puppy didn't look up at him. Then left before my husband got to even ask questions. To top it all off, when my husband went to leave they demanded the only $10 we had saying they don't allow payment plans and my husband told them multiple times he got told he didn't have to pay. They wouldn't let him leave until we paid the only $10 we had. Now we're home looking over our puppy and used a flashlight to see that obviously he has sores from digging in his kennel (I believe he has separation anxiety) and at the bars causing him to hurt himself. Completely oblivious vet and I will be calling tommorow and will not be paying the bill for such a horrible and unnecessary experience.

My family and I have had some pretty emotional times lately with all my fur babies. While pampering the last days of my lab, our cat was hit by a car, and Dr. Lilenquist and staff was so amazing through putting her down. Our hearts hurt pretty bad right now, but knowing they care really helped. Now we have to put our lab down this week and I feel confident through the heartache that they will treat her with love and tenderness. And their compassion towards us helps us get through the hard times, because we love our animals so much. Thank you Alpine!

Then we had to have surgery done and the Dr. Did a great job but he had an issue arise and Nikki came to our house and picked him up so they could take care of the issue he was having immediately. We took our dog in to have a sore on his neck looked at. To start, the Vet was not friendly at all with me nor my dog. He was rushing and was not interactive at all. He told us, very non chelant that the area of concern was cancer and that he needed surgery. We scheduled the surgery which was 2 weeks out for something that seemed needed attention asap, at least to us. While we waited we took him to another vet for a second opinion, who told us it was not cancer, but just an infection. I canceled the surgery and the sore is now gone and healed. I did not feel valued as a customer, nor did I feel like my dog(my baby) was given the attention I feel he deserved. Would not recommend.

So impressed with Alpine! I will never take my animals anywhere else. Our little kitty got hurt and they saw him as soon as they opened. We watched him through the weekend but he didn't get better. We had to put him down and my kids were devastated. Dr. Haymore was so gentle and understanding. He gave my kids an opportunity to say goodbye and asked us if we wanted to watch or no. I loved that we had the option. We cried and really, I could tell he felt bad. A few days later, we got a handwritten card in the mail from the Dr and the nurse expressing their condolences. My husband and I could not be more impressed with Alpine. We care about our animals a lot and I'm sure glad the Alpine veterinarians care about them too.

I've been to almost all of the vets in Pocatello throughout the years with my pups and Alpine is the absolute best. You get friendly, caring, and knowledgeable staff and vets and a large clean facility. Prices are pretty good and I have been impressed that they don't try to up sell unneeded and expensive services. They tend to be busy so schedule appointments early, but they do there best to try and get you in when its unexpected.

Fluffigans was seen right on time by Dr. Seth Lundquist. The Dr. diagnosed the issue immediately, cleaned the wound, put meds on, and gave me two options for administrating meds at home to a very fussy dog. Office visit was completed in 15 minutes and pricing was reasonable. I will definitely be back if the need arises-thank you!!

This was my first visit with my 2 dogs and meeting Dr Joyce and she was great. Dr. Joyce was very friendly and very thorough in her examination. Brought to my attention a couple of spots on my Boxer which could potentially be cancerous that I didn't realize could be a problem. I might mention that Dr Lundquist has seen 2 of my chickens and treated them for upper respiratory sickness. I will definitely keep bringing my animals to Alpine Animal Hospital. I might mention that the staff, front-office and back-office are also awesome

A lady I work with and her son had a very negative experience with this clinic. Their dog Samson had a medical emergency and needed to be seen on Monday at around 2pm. They called ahead while her son went to pick up the dog from home and let them know what was up and why they needed to be seen quickly. While their dog was dying in the back of the truck, the receptionists kept insisting that the dog couldn't be seen until 4 (because it wasn't emergency hours) or until their $90 balance was paid (despite her son having the money and being ready to pay the balance right then and there). Neither of the receptionists there were treating the situation seriously, despite it being an emergency. Her son went back out to the truck to check on Samson, who had passed away at that point. He describes that he was just bawling and holding onto his dog when he saw the receptionist walk out, see him, and then turn right around without saying a word. Now, could they have done anything to prevent Samson from passing away? Maybe, but probably not. But they could have handled the situation significantly better. We are all incredibly saddened and disappointed by how this situation was handled.

This was our first vet visit to Alpine. They knew who we were, and got us started right away. The vet talked to me alot about my pup, and what we needed to do. Very gentle and understanding with my 7 month golden doodle. They even gave me estimates of what else we needed for our pup.

I took my rat in for the first time today. She's old for a rat (3 years) and my boyfriend and I suspected she was dying. The receptionists were very friendly and upbeat. They got me into a room right away. The wait for the veterinarian wasn't long either. Dr. Carlson and her assistant were very attentive and gentle with my rat. Unlike other practitioners, they handled my rat the same way I or my boyfriend would. No pinning down, gripping, or flipping her over. If my rat needed to stay still they would pet her, or let her snuggle up where she felt safe. If they needed her to move they set her down and simply let her walk where she was curious. Dr. Carlson was also very kind and up front about the results. (Our rat likely had cancer or advanced pneumonia) While talking with me about the results, both she and her assistant continued to pet my rat. I was much more used to veterinarians manhandling pet rats or behaving as though they are "throwaway" pets. Their attention and care my pet and I received at Alpine was above and beyond what I expected. The staff and doctors genuinely love the animals they treat and understand their importance to the owner. This is a wonderful animal hospital.

We have taken our animals to Alpine for many years now. Our 19 year old cat's health declined very rapidly at the end of 2018. The vets at Alpine were helpful and friendly in their treatment and advice. Our cat had to be put down in January of 2019. Dr. Joyce was there that morning and was so sweet in her understanding of my broken heart. The Alpine vet team also sent a sympathy card a few weeks later. This clinic is very busy, which can be frustrating when you want your pet seen sooner than later. But they are busy because they are one of the best vet clinics in town.
