His office was very busy but he never once made us feel rushed. He not only will address every concern you have but will genuinely explain it till you understand. I'm a new parent to a 9 week old German Shepard. I called around a few places to see about prices for his second round of shots. This place quoted me "around 50$", after hearing great reviews for this place I was sold and set up an appointment. Before anything started I was talked to in excruciating detail about a puppy program they have which is supposed to be 100$ cheaper in the long run. When I asked how much today's visit would be they changed the price from 50$ to 98$. As far as the appointment. I spent most of my time getting roped into a more expensive agreement then what was discussed over the phone. The vet checked my puppy out. The only concern I had for my dog other than his vaccines is a obvious growth on his eye. The vet told me the internet is a good place to find more information. So I got 15$ worth of shots and advice to consult the internet to find some one who cares or is competent. I'm giving an extra star because, even tho they lied by doubling the agreed price and didn't do much of anything else. I appreciate them telling me they aren't equipped to give advice other than "West vet or Google". Even so, I won't recommended this place due to financial agreement inconsistencies and what seemed to be general incompetence. For the record I'll never trust West vet with another animal again. I'll keep going to the humane society where they are straight from the start about prices and services.

If you’re looking for a vet, I highly recommend Dr. Broshar. We started going to Dr. Broshar in the late 90’s after he was recommended to us by our small town country vet when he retired. I’m going to try to keep this short but there is so much good to say about Dr. Broshar. When he had his veterinary hospital in Iowa he cared for four of our animals. Two of them from a very young age until they were euthanized. He also cared for several cats from my wife’s work. His care and compassion for animals and their owners is second to none. I never hesitated recommending him to friends and family looking for a vet. He was very thorough giving exams and explaining any issues. When we had to leave our animals a day or two for surgery we had comfort in knowing they were in good hands and would be well cared for by him and his staff. Having been our only vet for so many years we didn’t realize how reasonable his prices were. After he left Iowa our next vet charged more than double what Dr. Broshar did for the same visit. Don’t let the reasonable price fool you. You’ll still get top notch service. I think how well Dr. Broshar cared for our animals spoiled us. For the third time since he left Iowa we are looking for a new vet that meets our high standard of care. Looking for a new vet got me thinking about and wondering how and what Dr. Broshar was doing now. It’s been two years since he left Iowa and he’s still missed. I’m writing this review because looking at online reviews helped us narrow our choices before visiting the clinics. I hope this helps make the process easier for anyone else looking for a new or different vet. My final words - I really tried to keep it short.

Recently, I brought my dog in to have her eye removed. After calling around town I found that Ada Vet had, by far, the best price for this surgery. Not only was the surgery a sterling success, but the staff was fantastic. They were kind, understanding, and made sure I had the info I needed every step of the way. Not only that, but they were great with my kid. They are definitely my new family vet after this experience.

We have used the services of many veterinarians in the Boise area over the past 30 years, and Ada Veterinary Hospital is absolutely the best. Our dogs are happy to come in the door when we bring them. Everyone is friendly, caring, efficient, and highly competent. Everything is always explained to us clearly so that we feel comfortable about making decisions when that is necessary. We have never felt that recommendations about our animals are influenced by the profit motive.

We have brought our 3 year old cat (Hanzo) here since he was 12 weeks old, and are bringing our kitten (Hibana) here now too. Hanzo loves Val. He is picky about who he will let take his temperature and he never hisses at her. She is so gentle with him. Hibana had a good time when we took her in. she was calm and seemed to enjoy meeting the staff. Staff here has always been so kind and gentle with our pets, I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else! The staff here was absolutely fantastic, treated my dog Taz with love and respect, and we will definitely be back! In particular, Dr. Betts took extra special care of my dog, provided treats after painful examinations, and answered any and all questions that I could have had concerning my dog's health. Stephanie Loy then worked up an entire estimate of all possible expenses which was excellent for me to see. They let me know to get a hold of them if I had any questions and I will be recommending this hospital to my friends and family...thank you Ada Vet Hospital!!! :)

The people at this hospital are so loving to your fur babies. My doxie had to have his eye removed after he injured it. They went over several options with me until I was comfortable with my decision. The bill came out to be less than I had expected and when I went to pick him up they were cuddling him in a blanket at the front desk because he was whimpering in his kennel. He healed up great and was back to normal in no time. Thank you!

Staff was friendly, to me at least. I took my cats in to get shots and a checkup. One of the two had itchy ears, but no mites or ooze... So I asked the vet to take a look at her. What followed was a rough struggle between my cat and the vet...at the conclusion her ears were clean but tufts of fur were on the floor. The vet said she was probably allergic to the protein in the food I was giving her and I should change to something that didn't have a chicken base. My cat was traumatized from the ordeal and it took her three days for her to emerge from her corner behind the couch. Almost a year of buying expensive salmon based cat food and her ears are still getting clogged. So bad/superficial advice that did little more than cost me extra money + traumatized cat = NEVER GOING BACK.

I brought my puppy for the first time to Ada Veterinary Hospital for his first check up and puppy shots. My first impression was a clean and friendly atmosphere. The office staff were welcoming and very thoughtful for letting my puppy check out the room before getting acquainted with the doctor. I lost my beloved feline companion as a result of feline lymphoma recently! The moment I arrived, I was met with such compassion and kindness, I felt they empathize with me! Dr. Betts and his Sr. Vet Tech were compassionate and professional as they explained the euthanasia process! The last moments with my feline daughter allowed me to experience ( in human hospice terms) a “good death”! One the door read my pet’s name with a request that other patients respect my privacy during the process! I was also able to receive a plastered paw prints in memories of my cat. Then I received a sympathetic card in the mail with personalized messages from each staff person and Dr. Betts! I need to add that EVERY TIME I was concerned prior to my cat’s death, they fitted me in an already tight appointment schedule with understanding, consideration and compassionate patience! The doctors will be honest with you and not demand unnecessary procedures just to make an “extra buck”. Their professional ethics are stellar! This is the BEST veterinary clinic/hospital I’ve ever had the privilege to use and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone who are in the search of an excellent veterinary hospital! The staff of Ada Veterinary Hospital are the best!!!

The staff here have always been fantastic and have gone above and beyond anything I've needed them to do. Back in January, my cat had some weird white fuzzy looking stuff in his urine. I brought him in, thinking he had a bladder infection or something (since I had recently moved and I'd heard that bladder infections are common when cats move house). Instead, I got what was probably the most painful diagnosis of my life: diabetes. The vet who was there was very kind and patient, giving me plenty of paperwork to read when I got home while also talking everything over with my fiance (because, let's face it, I was bawling my eyes out too much to even process anything he was saying). He made sure to give me as much information as he could, and my cat and I returned several times over the next few months. It got to a point where the receptionist recognised me (and still does!) and would be able to quickly check me in without any hassle. The staff have always been super professional, nice, and understanding. At one point, I almost fainted in their office, and the person who was there brought me water and didn't judge me for laying on the floor while I waited for my body to stabilise. Overall, they've been extraordinary, and I have no desire to change vets at any point.

My dog had really bad breath and some loose teeth, so I took her into Ada Veterinary Hospital. for a complimentary dental exam. I was given an estimate and together we decided what was most important for the budget I had to spend. My dog not only has the most amazing looking teeth ever (whiter than mine), but she no longer has bad breath and they even ended her visit with a lower bill than I was expecting to pay. My girlfriend and I are so thankful for the wonderful staff. It's hard to find places with excellent customer services from everyone. We made this our go to vet for our 6 month old kitten. They have been a great help the last week while our cat has been sick. They call to check in and see how your pet is doing, schedule appointments as soon as they can and really do care about your pet. The pricing is great and entire staff seems to be very knowledgeable. They gave us a lot more answers and help than a few other pet hospitals did. Thanks for all your help!

When I adopted my dog she was really sick and I kept taking her to Vista Animal Hospital (7 times) but they failed to figure out what was wrong with my dog. I then took her to this clinic and they figured out right away what was wrong and got her back in good health. I have been taking my dog here for about 3 years now and they are the greatest. From out of the area called the vet because our dog was passing out; was able to get in the following day. The reception was warm and welcoming. I filled out the paperwork, they took my dogs weight and into the room we went. The vet took his time listened very carefully to what was happening to our dog examined her thoroughly made his recommendation and then proceeded to give us all the information that we need it for a follow up with a cardiologist. Unfortunately due to the heart condition that she had developed she passed away a few days later but we were very pleased to know and understand fully what was happening to her because of the vets information. Was very happy with our service.
