Dr. Hutchens has taken care of all of my family's dogs and is a wonderful Veterinarian. All of the veterinarians are wonderful but he's our favorite! Especially after he did emergency surgery on Odie at midnight after he had a botched neuter from a grant I was given (my words, not his) somewhere else 5 years ago when I first rescued him. Odie was very sick and he saved him. Everybody that works there is wonderful, sweet, and lovely and of course, great with the animals. They are honest and kind and have always had the best interest of our dogs over the years. They will always be the ones we take our dogs to.

I took my dog here for the first time today. She has breast cancer and has not been doing well. Everyone here was amazing! Dr. John Hutchens was by far the best vet I have been to in the area. He was caring, sensitive and extremely knowledgeable. I was not rushed. He answered every question I had and never once made feel like I was inconveniencing him or asking stupid questions. He took his time and made sure that I was ok and understood everything he was telling me. Even the environment was different and very welcoming. These people really care about your animals and know that they are much more than just a pet. They are family to us. I highly recommend this vet!!!!

Dr. SCOTT and his team rock. I have using Scott for over 20 years Their compassionate attitude the staff have with myself and my animals is AWESOME. I drive from Dublin, to Perry. A little over an hour's drive to see Scott. He is awesome with both the dogs and myself. So worth the trip. I would recommend them to anyone. They truly care about both your animal and you. I will never forget Dr. Lego....I had to have my service dog euthanized on July 6, 2017 after finding out only 6 days prior that she had cancer....I truly felt her compassion when she hugged me and cried with me when she put my baby girl "NEVAEH" to sleep and reassured me that I did the best thing to keep her from suffering any more and the entire staff is amazing.....I would definitely recommend anyone to take their pets here

I've been bringing our pets here for several years and have received the best care for our pets that we could've ever expected. We've had emergency visits, routine visits and follow-up visits. All were professional, caring, empathetic and friendly from the lobby staff to the departure staff. All of the doctors are just amazing ... they're caring, they're concerned and they're sincere. They remember the names and the symptoms of my other pets. They're like a really great next door neighbor .. that's able to treat your pets. I've used other vets, but I only did that once. There's a level of care and expertise that you will not find anywhere else! I highly recommend this group to see to all of your dog's care!

I could not be more impressed with the professionalism and expertise Dr. Hutchens exhibited during our emergency visit. Our dog was bitten by another dog on a Sunday evening and needed surgery. Dr. Hutchens met us at their clinic immediately and was sincerely concerned about our dog. Dr. Hutchens had a calming demeanor and confidently assured us that everything would be okay. After surgery, Dr. Hutchens took the time to walk us through exactly what he did to repair our dog's wounds. The next morning our dog had to go back to the vet so they could make sure she was recovering properly, there I was able to meet the some of the staff who were just as polite and helpful. Anyone who is new to the area and may be looking for a vet clinic, Westmoreland and Slappy is the way to go. It is refreshing to know there is a vet clinic/hospital in the Warner Robins area where the people are as good as their practice. I recently PCS'd to Robins AFB and had no idea where to take my dog. We got extremely lucky we found Westmoreland and Slappy Animal Hospital. Every chance I get I will recommend Westmoreland and Slappy Animal Hospital.

My grandmother's toy Doberman was bleeding, and we thought he had gotten a chicken bone or something. So this is Friday evening. We called this office to see about bringing him in for an after hours emergency and they refused. They told us he'd be fine, just to bring him in the morning. Well, he wasn't fine and passed away in the middle of the night. Someone who chooses to be a vet is supposed to care for animals. This vet's office is a joke with no care or concern for anyone but themselves.

Friendly, personable, and well-trained staff. I had to have my cat put to sleep, and Dr Slappey was straight up and compassionate. They contacted me a few days later to see how I was doing, and sent me a little paw print plaque with my kitty's name on it. They take good care of my dog. They aren't cheap nor are they overpriced for the service they render. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else.

My dogs have been cared for at Westmoreland since 2011. When the black dog to the left of this photo (shepherd mix) was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, the clinic studied stem cell therapy and applied this therapy to him. Now at age six and a half, this dog leads an athletic life pulling sulkies, scooters, and wagons. He still has hip dysplasia but his ability to be a working dog is excellent Another time this same dog was shot in the face on Christmas eve and one of the veterinarians met me in the late afternoon when all the staff was home for the holiday. He x-rayed my dog. The x-ray showed 40 beebee's. I have met the newest veterinarians and found them as considerate and skilled as the original. Most recently my visit ran late. I was in the waiting room and what I saw was a competent staff doing paper work completing the day at 6:30 pm that began before 8am. This clinic excels in team work. I think that to put together a good team is an immense skill.

Dr McLean performed surgery on my almost 10 year old Pit bull. It was a a very risky last minute surgery to remove a mass(more than likely Hemangiosarcoma) from his seen. She was very forthcoming on what to expect during and after surgery and what his prognosis would be if it were cancer. She answered every question and every call all three days he was there. My baby is now home with me while we decide what our next steps will be. The staff were all very sweet. They treated us all with respect. The weight time was nearly non existent. Thank you guys, so much!!!

When we initially picked our puppy up from the breeder we tried another local vet and we were not impressed. After asking around we found out about the animal hospital in Perry and decided to give it a try. We have been very pleased, if you call with a problem, a vet always returns your call and the staff is extremely polite and efficient. I would recommend this office to anyone who wants the real deal. I seen another review that a person wrote complaining about the price, our dog had a procedure recently that was much more inexpensive than what some of the other vets in this area charge. Great office!!

We’ve been coming to the clinic since I adopted a kitten last year. Sort of got of to a rough start, but the staff and Dr. Hutchens are great. Everyone is very professional in a relaxed way that makes you feel welcome. The animals that I’ve seen there are also relaxed which says a lot for the quality of the care in a clinic (usually pretty stressful for our pets). All of the Vet assistants and technicians are well trained. It’s so comforting to have access to a top notch Veterinary hospital because you never know what your fur baby will do or get into next.

This vet is out solely for the money. They charge extra for everything. They insist on giving vaccines before they will even see an animal. I moved here from New Jersey and my dog injured himself. I brought him there and they wanted to give him vaccines even though he had them in nj. I also got another dog while here. I paid $500 to have him neutered and microchipped and they insisted he get the bordatella and influenza shot while there. These vaccines would do nothing while he was there because it takes 2 weeks for them to take effect. I had 2 dogs fixed in nj and they cost $250 each with everything included. Now because I gave them my email I get spam from them daily trying to sell me more unnecessary crap.

Westmoreland Animal Hospital had ended our search a few years back by being the absolute best out of them all. Doc Westmoreland and his staff are incredible. I had taken my 4 lb. Chihuahua in she wasn't eating and had a bad ear infection. Could not have ask for better care. Dr Westmoreland was awesome with her he removed several bad teeth the same day. I found this staff as well as the doctor to be caring and efficient. Left there knowing I had found a perfect place to take care of my Lady Sweet Tee. Hats off to you Dr. WESTMORELAND.
