Hands down, by a monumental margin, THE BEST Veterinary Clinic in Duluth, and the entire South. We hadn't been to the clinic in about 2 years, after moving away. The staff remembered us, and welcomed us back with open arms. They are so accommodating and caring, when it comes to scheduling and urgent matters. From the second you walk through the door, every single member of the staff treats you as if you're part of their family. The care that Ruby received was second to none. She's very skittish by nature, and they went the extra mile to make her feel safe and comfortable. Dr. Tabitha Tanis, and the ENTIRE staff at Tiger Tails, are amongst the best in the field, if not THE best. My wife and I can not thank them enough for everything they did for Ruby, and for us. After moving back across the country, I needed to find a vet I could rely on. After bringing my dogs in, I unfortunately received news that my male boxer mix had kidney disease, and was in danger without help! I am glad to say that Tiger Tails professional and personable staff have given my dog his life back. He has gained 15 lbs, and is rambunctious as ever (believe me)! We have been taking our labs to Tigers Tales since 2013 for veterinary care, daycare and boarding. Dr. Zack, Dr Tabi and everyone else there are the best! Everyone is so knowledgeable, kind and caring. We moved over 50 miles away over a year ago but I hadn't been able to get myself to make the change to a closer vet. I'm so glad that I didn't because this March Dr Zack found a lump on our older lab and it turned out to be cancer. We will be forever grateful to Dr Tabi for getting rid of Otis's cancer. It was a difficult area on his leg which required multiple surgeries. We never felt alone during the process because we were always able to contact Dr Tabi or a vet tech at any time with our questions and concerns. We also can't say enough about Morgan and her staff on the daycare/boarding side. Our labs love to stay there! Our dogs are treated like family by the whole staff. We will definitely continue to make the 100 mile round trip to go to Tiger Tales!

Dr. Jessie is so sweet and did a very thorough examination of our fur baby Sugar and took the time to explain everything that was going on. Ultimately, we had to make the difficult decision to let our sweet girl pass and put an end to her suffering. However, the Tiger Tails staff from the vet to vet techs were nothing but courteous, sympathetic, and professional in this difficult time for our family. Dr. Zack and the whole Tiger Tails staff are the only reason my 7 year old chocolate lab is still alive. Every other vet told us to put her down. Tiger Tails was our 3rd opinion and the only vet with a solution. We tried laser treatment, stem cell therapy, a diet change and some joint supplements. We have had the BEST experience with Tiger Tails since we moved here last June (2014). We were looking for a daycare for our puppy and had very high standards that needed to be met for it to be acceptable. As soon as we found Tiger Tails, we knew this was the place we would send our fur baby! The facilities are clean, the communication between the two sides is great and everyone is friendly. Dr. Zack is very knowledgeable and always very helpful when we have questions. He takes time to explain things in a way that you understand. Before Tiger Tails, our puppy would suffer from bad separation anxiety - diarrhea, not eating or drinking, etc. when being boarded up. She has gotten so much better with this at Tiger Tails and never shows these symptoms anymore. I would absolutely recommend Tiger Tails for anything. They truly care about your animals and will do anything to help you and your pet!

Dr. Zack and his veterinary practice is TRULY one in a million. Dr. Zack's medical knowledge, background and instinctual abilities are stellar as are those of his other veterinarians on the team. Dr. Zack has a heart as big as mine when it comes to our furry little companions. I am so very thankful for Dr. Zack and the entire Tiger Tails Animal Hospital Team. He is happy to sit on the floor with me and my furbabies to discuss medical prognoses and the steps to take moving forward for the absolute best quality of life. I am very thankful for Dr. Carol who has already done wonders for Callie with the surgical removal of a cancerous growth in an extremely tricky area - not once - but twice after the cancer became more aggressive. After the second time - the cancer has not reappeared! She has called me off the clock to better inform me of my options and was willing to talk and explain things as long as I needed. Again, one in a million! Two at one practice! Both veterinarians have earned my trust (hard to do with my biology background, understanding of the medical field and protective nature of my pets). I faced one of the absolute hardest things I've endured as an adult when I had to walk down the road of knowing I would lose my beloved Jackson (my 8 1/2 year old Boxer) to T-cell lymphoma. Dr. Zack (practically literally) held my hand as we took every step possible to ensure the best quality of life and top notch medical care during Jackson's last few months on this physical earth. I asked for the honest truth, no candy-coating so I could handle his life appropriately and Dr. Zack never, ever once tried to take advantage of me or rack up a bill. Dr. Zack ensured I could reach him in my & Jackson's times of need no matter. It has been nearly a year and I still want to cry but some of those tears are happy, grateful tears to Dr. Zack and everyone and Tiger Tails who walked along side me as I walked with Jackson down that road to a temporary goodbye. The true compassion and love for your pets and not the bill and unnecessary procedures truly shines through at Tiger Tails. I have and will continue to tell anyone and everyone to take their beloved furbabies to Tiger Tails Animal Hospital. MUCH Love and Gratitude to all of you at Tiger Tails Animal Hospital. (I could write 10 pages on why Tiger Tails is so incredible medically, personally and financially but I am trying to keep my review from being overwhelming. We began going to Tiger Tails in 2013. Dr. Zack/Dr. Carol and the entire staff are absolutely amazing, professional, courteous, cost conscious and experts in their individual scope of practice. They take their time with you, explain things as well as providing cost effective scenarios. We love Dr. Zack/Dr. Carol, they are not only amazing vets but are exceptional human beings. You will love it here, they truly care about animals and their owners and are well equipped with the latest technology and intellect! UPDATE: We lost our sweet angel to liver cancer 3/12/15 (totally devastated). It came out of nowhere when on March 6th she didn't eat like she normally would. On Saturday the 7th in the evening I called Dr. Zack directly, he took my call and suggested we come into the office on a SUNDAY (when typically closed) to check her out. Blood work showed liver enzymes way off the chart and x-ray discovered a tumor. Dr. Zack and his wife Sue sat in the floor with us as we held our baby and balled. It was the hardest day of our lives and they cared enough to hold our hands, sit in the floor and mourn our pain. On Monday we did an ultrasound, the results were gut wrenching and confirmed, liver cancer, the news, Stinky had less than a week to live. How do you process that? We work from home so we were so fortunate to shower her with additional love and comfort 100 fold. Stinky passed away in our arms, in our home, on her favorite spot, on our bed, March 12th at 7:45 pm, just days after her diagnosis. Dr. Zack suggested we leave her home through this phase after I had made a call to him about an hour prior to her passing, if she was comfortable and wanted to be with us he said let her be where she is. He was so right and we are so glad we had this option. Later that evening around 9:00 pm I called Dr. Zack and he graciously met us at his clinic so he could arrange and have a wonderful place named deceased pet care come and pick her up to prepare her for her final resting place the following morning. We would then go a few days later to view her and await them to prepare her so we could bring her back home in her urn. Dr. Zack also made 3 paw prints that were amazing and we will cherish forever. Prior to leaving his clinic that evening of the 12th, Dr. Zack, myself and my wife held hands while holding onto Stinky as we prayed, it was such a tender moment of gratitude and I can never thank him, his wife, Dr. Carol and the rest of his staff for all they have done for our entire family. He's an incredible vet and a remarkable man. We love him! When you lose a pet (family member) you lose a child and a part of your soul, those who know what I mean, know how we feel.... We love you Stinky and will see you at the Rainbow Bridge Baby! Momma and Poppa! Scot and Michelle G

SugarBear ‘s last visit with them she was given an antibiotic for sneezing from being on steroids. Dr Zack is the best! My little Maltese has had some serious issues and we found Dr Zack and felt totally comfortable as soon as we met him. Both our little dogs have been treated like family and as if we had been there all along. Both just had their teeth cleaned and had issues with teeth and gums. Although the bill was a bit of a shock ONCE WE SAW THEIR SPARLING WHITE TEETH AND HEALTHY LOOKING GUMS IT WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!! I truly didn't think their teeth or gums could have ever been healthy and clean. I 100% recommend Dr Zack and this clinic. And to top it off....Dr Zack gave me his cell number in case anything of concern happened after they were closed. SERIOUSLY. What Dr does that???

I absolutely love Tiger Tails, and cannot give them enough praise. I would 100% recommend them to anyone and everyone. The Staff: - Everyone I've met has been incredibly friendly, and it's obvious they are all true animal lovers. - They are happy to sit on the floor with my pet, and it's obvious they are trying to make my dogs as comfortable as possible. - I've been taking all of my pets to see Dr. Zack and Dr. Jessie almost exclusively for the past 3 years, but I would be completely comfortable with any of the vets. The Facility: - The building is always immaculately clean. No pet odors, no messes. - The building is also modern (doesn't have that dated vibe that I've gotten in other vet offices) and well lit. - The exam rooms are open (glass walls facing the hallway + windows overlooking the parking lot in every room), clean, and welcoming. While the staff is happy to sit on the floor to examine your pet, big tables can also fold down from the wall for pet use if needed / desired. - There is a boarding option here, if you need that. Overnight boarding might only be for cats (not sure), but I know they also have an outside yard (with artificial turf) for the dogs that are staying the day, which is regularly hosed off / cleaned (I think I've seen them cleaning the yard every single time I've been over around closing time). - There's also a back entrance for more contagious animals. I suspected my dog got a strain of kennel cough from a boarder (despite being up-to-date on shots), and I was asked to meet them at a back entrance when I came by. I appreciated this, because it kept my sick dog away from other healthy dogs, and I know they would have asked other owners to do the same. Other Accolades: - They have been very accommodating with some last-minute appointment requests when my pups get sick. Not only that, but they have kept my pet for the day if I was unable to stay around for the appointment. - Dr. Zack has actually fought for me to get me money refunded by the manufacturer of some meds, since one of the heartworm meds didn't work. I didn't ask him to do this; he took the initiative and filed the request for me, and I had a credit on my account the next time I came in. - I've never felt rushed. Not only do they tolerate my annoying (paranoid?) questions with a genuine smile, they take the time to fully explain anything and everything that I want to know. I always get the feeling like I'm the most important customer there. - Pricing of visits and meds are at least comparable to (if not cheap than) any other vet I've been to. - Free drinks (soda, water, juice boxes, etc.) are available while you wait.

My 7 year old Maltese was healthy as could be he had a case of diarrhea, I bought him in on a Saturday and a rectal was done, he was in extreme pain after and his bum was sore and swollen. I had to call back in for pain meds. He passed Monday night. DO NOT take your pet there!

My family and I went away for a long needed vacation. We have never been gone for more than a day our two since we got our fur babies and its been 3 years since we had a great vacation. We looked around and didn't really see a quality boarding place then we say Tiger Tails had a grand opening. We decided to check it out and we both were pleasantly surprised at how great the place looked. They really took care of every detail, from the floors to dog toys to proper training of their staff they really did a great job. We left our babies with them for 8 days, what felt like an eternity but it wasn't so bad because every day we got an update from Tiger Tails updating us on how the dogs are doing and what they did during the day. We are so glad we found this place now we no longer have to worry about going on vacation because we can't find good care for our dogs.

The veterinarians truly care about the welfare of your pet(s) and are easy to talk to and understand when discussing any diagnosis or test result or course of treatment for your pet. This veterinary practice is unique in that they have two separate facilities, one exclusively for cats, and one exclusively for dogs; the same goes for the boarding facilities. Your dog will get plenty of love and exercise from the kennel staff, and when getting its exercise, your dog will also get plenty of fresh air as they get to go outside in a fenced in area where they are constantly supervised and interacted with. This veterinary practice has been voted #1 in Gwinnett County for several years running, and once you stop in and talk with the staff/veterinarians you will see why!

I would now say five stars for the service over the telephone because I have not been there yet, but I have a great feeling that Tiger Tails would be a good place for my new puppy. Jessica and Chris or Kris have been answering and explaining my questions over the phone without getting tired of me. They were very clear and helpful. Unlike the other places, the representatives didn't even want to answer my question over the phone. Instead they wanted me to go in and talk about some basic questions like How much is the examination fee? I am not sure why they still have phone lines if they want the client to go in and ask a basic question. I am looking forward to do the business with Tiger Tails and support them. I would keep updating my review after the visit soon!

I have loved this clinic for years bc of how great all the staff is and how animal conscientious they are. However when my cat became terminally ill, Dr. Candace went above and beyond for us. She truly treated us like family, meeting us on a Sunday to put sweet girl to sleep bc shes was suffering so much, and calling to check on me a few days later. Losing a pet is losing a family member and I will never be able to express how much this kindness means to us.

I LOVE it here for my dog! I have been coming for about 2 months so far . Maybe more, maybe less and I have been Super Satisfied every time! And I’m sure my dog does too! I have to say the treatment and the invitation in and the love for my dog has been the utmost perfect experience ever! Better than going to a regular doctor. And I recently just got a call from Dr. Jessie and she was checking on my dog. Like my doctor doesn’t even check on me! Lol. So I’m extremely happy with this place! I can't recommend them enough. Our dog is very fearful and anxious about going to the vet. We just moved here from out of state and our vet visits at our previous vet were extremely stressful for everyone involved. This is by far the best experience we've ever had at a vet, and the entire team was caring, nice and made sure that our dog was as comfortable as possible throughout the visit. Dr. Murray was fantastic and I think we've finally found the vet we will go to for life.

Best vet I've ever been to. I moved to the area in June of 2014 and decided to try this vet because my coworkers all took their pets here; I don't regret it. Dr. Zack and the whole staff is always so sweet to my dogs. One of my dogs had an allergic reaction to one of her annual vaccines and they told me to bring her in and kept an eye on her all day for me while I was at work and didn't charge me anything extra...Dr. Zack even gave me his cell phone number in case anything went wrong after I got my dog home. The best, most caring vet in the world. Would recommend to anyone.

She’s been with us since our first puppy visit, and as first-time-over-protective-dog-parents, I recognize that our millions of questions and concerns may qualify us as high maintenance. No matter the question, no matter the concern, Dr. Candace has made sure that we have all the answers to keep us calm and keep our pup healthy and happy. She’s always taken the time and seems to genuinely care which always puts us at ease. The staff is extremely accommodating, helpful, and caring. Our accident prone puppy has spent more time at the vet than we anticipated, but they make the entire experience easy. They always call and follow up and make sure that our boy is alright and that we don’t have any additional concerns. Many of the staff and techs recognize our golden boy when he walks in, and he is so pleased with the attention. Both Lauren and Erin have great bonds with him, and he is always excited to see them. And so are we! They are caring and kind and the same is true for most everyone we’ve worked with. Don’t hesitate in wondering if this is the place to bring your pup! It’s reassuring to know that they take the health and care of your family as seriously as you do. I trust Dr. Candace completely - We won’t go anywhere else.

We have brought both cats and dogs to Tiger tails for a range of services including check-ups, boarding, grooming, and surgery The have exceeded our expectations every time. The doctors and staff all seem to love being there and working with our pets. They are attentive and come up with follow up care plans that fit our family, not their agenda. There is no pressure to buy hundreds of dollars worth of "prescription" food pay for extensive testing that isn't needed. Tiger Tails is an ultra-modern clinic with all the latest technology in an immaculately clean space. There is even a separate building for cats so the dont have deal with dog smells and barking while they are already stressed out. The only thing missing is exotic animal care. As soon as they start working on and boarding reptiles they will be perfect.
