I’m a Mom with three daughters and one of those daughters just happens to be a precious feline. I trust Red Barn the same way I trust girls pediatrician. My sweet Panda is not my cat, she is my furry baby and she treated the same way she is treated at home when she visits the vet, just like the princess she is. How many vet offices can you go to where the receptionist remembers your furry baby by name as soon as you walk in? Every concern I have ever had is heard and addressed even if I’m being a total helicopter Mom, with zero judgement. If you’re looking for a trustworthy vet’s office that truly has your babies best interest at heart, you have found a home in Red Barn. Ps. I drive all the way from Cumming just to see them!

We love Dr. Paske. She is very thorough and takes the time to make sure she has addressed any and all issues, questions and concerns. We know our dogs are in good hands. On our last visit, they told us goodbye and I started to leave and Toby wouldn't budge! I pulled on his leash and he just stood firm no matter how sweetly I begged him to come with me!

This establishment, had we left my daughters dog in their care, would have killed my daughters dog. First the diagnosed him with a respiratory infection. After days of him getting worse and not eating, she took him back. They ended up completed a surgery removing a piece of plastic from his intestine and said they had checked his stomach as well... everything had been removed. For DAYS after the surgery his condition declined. He was taken to another vet who ended up doing a second surgery that removed a LARGE AMOUNT of plastic from his stomach. The vet confirmed the incision from the first surgery was not even large enough to get to the stomach. If this other vet had not done the 2nd surgery my daughters boy would have died. Not only did Red Barn try to ignore our calls when we finally got through to them, they denied any wrong doing and eventually blamed my daughter and accused her of being a careless pet owner. I am appalled at their lack of concern for our pup and even more disturbed that they were not willing to help with the costs of having to have a second surgery in the same week because they did not do their job the first time. STAY AWAY FROM RED BARN, They are careless and it could possibly cost you your beloved pet. My daughter was fortunate and diligent enough to seek other care for her boy.... thank GOD.

Thought they were very nice, however this just may be coincidence but I got one dog neutered there, 2 years later he died of unknown causes after spending tons of money figuring out what was wrong and getting g no answers he passed. Got another dog neutered there, and it's been a year and a half and suddenly he's become very sick just like my last dog, just unusual 2 dogs almost 2 years after their neuter they both get sick.....may have nothing to do with the vet but I will not go back and have any Pet fixed there again.

I've used Red Barn since moving here about 8 years ago. They were chosen in the beginning because they are so close to our house, but we've stayed for other reasons. Obviously everyone's four legged babies are still our "babies" and we want the best for them! I have never been disappointed in the level of care and kindness shown by all of the Dr.s here. The practice has grown alot in 8 years and now has 9 vets, and each one I've had to meet under usually stressful situations, has always been extremely kind, knowledgeable and willing to spend as long as takes on each visit. It's a busy place and I won't say you may not have to wait a little bit sometimes, but they will let you know what the prob is and offer a diff Dr. or to reschedule if you can't wait. This rarely happens. They helped get our cat through a bad first bout of mega colon and are now helping us fight diabetes in the same cat and I've been happy with the process and their decisions so far. I would say def give them a try!

My sweet lab scout of 5 years was told by her pervious vet(braslenton animal hospital) that she had a tag but after another vet and red barn confirmed that she had cancer we had her mass removed from her ear and although they had to remove most of her ear better that than her life They have done such a wonderful job with the surgery and recovery

Yesterday when I came home from work my dog couldn't move the back end of his body. I called even though I knew they would be closing soon and they told me to come with him right away. They staff came and helped get him out of my car and Dr Babcock was in the room right away. After doing xrays and a thorough exam Dr Babcock came to the conclusion that my sweet boy had a spinal embolism, paralyzed in his hind end, and was in an extreme amount of pain. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything they could do for him and I had to put in to sleep. Dr Babcock and her staff were so kind, caring, and understanding as I cried and apologized to my boy as he took his last breath. Dr Babcock hugged me with tears in her eyes as well. I can't thank all of the wonderful care that my boy received from everyone there. Thank you all so much!

My wife and i had just adopted an 8 week old american bully brindle we named Weston. When we got him the breeder hadnt dewormed the puppy or really taken great care of him. After getting him 3 days ago we have given him flea baths trimmed his nails and been trying to control his worms. We took him to Red Barn today sunday june 23rd and all i can say is this is the most amazing animal hospital i have ever been too. Everyone is so respectful and knowledgable and so caring amd sweet. They did westons forst initial exam and gave him a dewormer and literally within 4 hours of having it in his system hes already passed a ton of worms allowing is bloated stomach to go down alot. We will continue to use redbarn for all westons needs throughout his life. We qill deff be refering others their way. Thank you Red Barn animal hospital for easing our minds on weston amd getting his worm issue under control.

I would suggest that they develop a payment plan for those who can't afford to pay up front as some procedures can be pricey.

I brought my cat to them for a cough yesterday. After xrays it was determined he had asthma. He was given his rabies shot and a prescription for steroids. Hours later my cat lay dead in the floor. I called them this morning to let them know this and was told maybe he had heart worms and some of his symptoms could have been caused by this. My response was why was a heart worm test not offered if this was a possibility to which they said they were trying to save me money and that if they would have offered expensive lab work people would think they were just out for money!!! My baby is dead! They refuse to take any responsibility for the poor care and poor diagnosis of my fur baby! They found the quickest out, took my money and out the door! I researched side affects of rabies vaccines in cats and found that when there are signs of other illness the rabies vaccine is dangerous as they immune system attacks the rabies virus and stops attacking the prior illness. As licensed vets should they have not known this? I feel the poor care that was given to my cat, my family member is the reason he is no longer here with us! I have noticed on almost all of their bad reviews they say that they can't find you in their system!! Well I have a receipt for over 300.00 that proves my cat was in their care. To give this vet even the 1 star I had to give to write this review is unreal to me! "Don't want people to think we are just out for money" My baby is DEAD!!!

My 16 yr. old Pomeranian had a stroke and had to be put to sleep. We got him as a puppy and we devastated, he was such a big part of our family! The Doctor and the rest of the staff couldn't have been any nicer. From the time of our call to bring him in, all the way to the sympathy card sent later, the whole team were so understanding, friendly and helpful. They explained everything thoroughly and step by step. They even made sure I was ready each step of the way, giving me time to say good-bye to my best friend! This was one of the hardest things I've had to do. I feel blessed that I had such a wonderful group of people to help my through it!

Took my dogs and cats here for years and had no problem with them. Always got great service. However, when one of my dogs started having seizures I rushed him to them. They kept him for a few hours and then called me and told me he was doing great I could come get him. When I got there to get him I was told he had another seizure and that they really did not know why. They sent me home with the advice to give him honey when he had a seizure and to bring him back in the morning, that was it! I took him home and as soon as we got home he had a huge seizure and immediately started howling in pain. He would not stop. I returned with him only to be treated as if I had not be a loyal paying customer for about 5 years. I was hounded for the payment the minute they took him back. I had informed them that after already paying a substantial bill earlier for him that I was low on funds until the following day. They harassed me to no end the entire time we were there to have my dog put to sleep because nothing could be done for him. I finally just gave her my card and said make a copy and run it in the morning. I had been a loyal paying customer for years and had several animals under their care. I was treated like a low life who had stiffed them with a bill before. This was the first time I had EVER ask to pay the next day for services. I was floored and hurt. My dog suffered for no reason at all, they knew he would not survive if he continued to have them. I heard the receptions talking, while waiting for them to give me the cremation paperwork on him. They should never have allowed me to leave with him the first time I was there with him! My 12 year old daughter had to witness his seizure and ride with me the whole way back to the vet with him howling in pain. She was traumatized to say the least. Not to mention the pain my poor dog suffered when I could have made the decision to put him to sleep the first time I was there with him , but no mention was made to me that he would not survive having those seizures! I have since found a different vet but I will never forget that day or how uncaring they were to my dog and my family. Beware if you are thinking of going here.

They specifically scheduled me at a time when no once else would be around to see my sorrow, related to my sadness and reassured me in what was to come. It was the most sad experience of my life but this vet really took the time and care to make me a customer for life. They even sent me and my family a " we are sorry for your loss" card with all of the staffs signatures and kind words. What a wonderful place.

Had to put down our 15 years old cat with cancer here yesterday. The vet has been really honest and patient with us. By checking on the cat, the vet told us that she sensed a giant tumor by her belly and that could have been the reason for her not eating well during the past week, and her ear seemed yellow because her liver was turning down. The red rashes on her back could be caused by a kind of cancer. The cost for an x ray and diagnosing the cancer was reasonable, but the vet was also being very honest by telling us for a cat at this age, what usually happened is that they cannot survive a big surgery, and the tumor could be too big to be removed. They didn’t push us toward anything and gave us different opinions, like to treat her with a high risk of end up losing her, or give her something to keep her going, or to put her down. The cat was suffering from a lot of pain, and there’s nothing much we could do, so we decided to put her down. They gave us time to say good bye to the cat, and they are very down to the ground for being very patient, kind, and not being judgmental toward our decision. The whole process was very emotional on my side, and they gave the cat the first sedative to make her calm and they laid her down on the table. They told us the cat is already asleep and she went to sleep seeing us being with her, and she’s not feeling any pain now. Then they asked us if we were ready to put her into sleep. With our permission, they injected the second dose. A few seconds later the vet listened to her heart and she told us with a very soft tone “she ‘s calm”. I really appreciate the vet not using the word “gone”, or “dead”. Saying good bye to a pet is painful, but with the help of the vet it made me felt less painful. We didn’t keep the cat alive for us, but kept the cat alive for herself. The cat lived a good and long life, it was hard to see her go but even harder to see her suffering from the pain. The vet was very patient with us and being very professional throughout the whole process, and let us out with the cat from the back door. They put the cat in a zipped body bag for cat, the bag was very well sealed and we later found out there was some pee from the cat at the bottom of the inside of the bag but nothing seeped out. We buried her on the back of the hill where she usually liked to hang out. I appreciate the whole process we went through at this place, and hope to bring other pet there for check ups in the future.

After making an egregious mistake and not fully fixing an issue that required emergency surgery - Red Barn took no accountability for their mistake. Had my pet not been rushed to another vet and another emergency surgery done, he would have died. They refused to speak with the other vet and blamed the pet owners for what happened.

Red Barn is by far the GREATEST veterinarian clinic around. They have reasonable prices, the vets are very educated, and all of the staff is polite and caring. My three dogs are spoiled and I tend to be a hypochondriac when it comes to them. All of the doctors patiently answer any of my questions and always explain things in a way that anyone can understand. They do great work in the community and I will always take my animals there no matter how far I have to drive! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

There were there for us many many times. Cats/Kittens seem to find us so we have become sort of a sanctuary. We make sure that they are spay/neuter, shots, place for them to them to come in from the cold/heat. Red barn is the only vets office that my dogs don’t freak out when we pull up. We love it there! All the staff is amazing and very friendly. My dogs are pretty big (80 pounds and 120 pounds) and I don’t trust just anyone with them. We’ve been to plenty of vets offices and you can tell the ones that actually care. They also get us in last minute if one of my dogs have an issue! If you want a reliable, dependable affordable and knowledgeable vet, Red Barn is your place.

We have been clients of Dr. Babcock, Dr. Donovan, and Red Barn since just after they opened their doors. It is one of the best veterinary practices I have used in my many years of owning dogs. They are not only excellent vets--having added several wonderful veterinarians over the years, but also they provide sincere concern and care for every animal AND human. The staff is helpful and friendly. You always feel welcome whether on the phone or walking in the front door. Dr. Babcock offers several reduced-rate "rabies and shots" clinics throughout the year which is a huge help to the community. Also, adding Sunday hours is a complete bonus.
