This place is as great as all the reviews claim it is .Dr.Riaz Khan had my two dogs feeling right at home as they got they treatments.Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.To top the day half price immunization shots for the month of June is fantastic. I even sprung up with a.special request for a travel sedative for our Bichon which they were able to supply us with.Thank you for being a great clinic and not making us feel like a number.#vetclinic4life

My Suzy was ready for a summer cut in the grooming area. Cindy is the groomer we see always but she was not in the day Suzy was scheduled. After my husband took her by I got a phone call from Karen asking me how I had asked Cindy to groom Suzy. All I had to say was "summer cut, Schnauzer face, clip her nails and Karen did a great job!!!! Dr. Kahn helps my special needs kitty Vader. She has a chronic condition that requires ongoing care and he helps me be able to provide her that. Dr. Khan spent barely 5 minutes with my dog. He quickly reasoned the large dent in her skull from muscles deactivating was nothing to be concerned about, just a genetic abnormality. Even though my concern was evident and I pushed for more information and testing, he waved it off and treated me like I was overreacting. 7 days later, her balance was severely off and her energy level was extremely low. I brought her back and demanded to see Dr. Virgo instead, who immediately jumped into action, showed me concern and empathy, and called ahead to the emergency clinic to have an MRI and other tests done. 3 days after that, we had to make the difficult decision to bring her back to Powder Springs Animal Clinic and be put to sleep. 10 days before, when I brought her to Dr. Khan, she wasn’t in pain then. We had more time. I knew something was wrong, but Dr. Khan couldn’t find the time or the compassion to help. Now that Dr. Virgo no longer works at this clinic, I will never bring any of my beloved pets back. If you want a veterinarian who addresses your concerns, who spends time with your pet and genuinely wants to help, by all means do not go to Dr. Khan. He allowed my best friend to suffer.

I have been going to Dr. Kahn for 20+ years now. I have never even considered going anywhere else. I find him to be very knowledgeable and he loves animals. He has cured my dog who was in stage 1 of heartworms. He had to put down that same dog at 17yrs old. She was a Border Collie mix and it is unusual for them to live that long. The experience of that was very tender with him and the staff. They we so caring and compassionate. At one point she had developed cataracts and he asked me to please try a new medicine that was supposed to clear up cataracts and restore her site. This medicine was VERY expensive but I agreed because I trust Dr. Kahn. And, it worked! My dogs eyes cleared up and looked like a young pups eyes at 15yrs old. I have 2 new dogs now that Dr. Kahn treats and he does a fantastic job with them. Dr. Kahn is a fantastic vet! I would recommend him and his staff to anyone who treasures their animal. They will take very good care of your pets. I have used the kennel and grooming services and was just as happy with them.

I have a non-profit group that has been using Dr. Kahn for our surgeries. The level of care and concern from this group of people is fantastic. They show compassion and professionalism with each dog or cat I bring in or send to them for care. They have had several very delicate and complicated medical conditions, and I am pleased with how the pet and the owners are treated. All the staff is friendly and very competent. I give them 5 stars (6 if I could).

I Don’t recommend this clinic to anyone. They over charge drastically for everything. I signed a paper saying I had to pay $300 but when it came time to pay they charged me $600 for “extra work done” they didn’t even notify me. This clinic didn’t tell me what was wrong with my dog and she looked worse than when I left her there. Thankfully she got over her sickness but no thanks to this clinic.

Carried my dog in due to skin problems. After being examined it was determined that problems were related to allergies and fleas. I was given many treatment options and all treatment costs were discussed before a plan of action was initiated. After the treatment was started, within 1 day major improvements were observed. I was also provided with many options for heartworm prevention and flea control. I have carried my other pets in on prior visits including cats. On those occassions, animals were treated for various ailments very successfully without costing a fortune. I will continue to use their services in the future.

So for the month of June, they only take walk-ins. You absolutely cannot make an appointment the entire month of June. So I figured, it's Saturday, they open at 8am, so I'll get there around 8:30. The waiting room was full and I have an energetic puppy so I called to check in over the phone. At 8:34am. I checked in and shortly thereafter a nurse brought me the paperwork to fill out. At 8:48am, I turned it in and asked how long she thought the wait would be. "They're moving pretty fast so I'd say 15-20 minutes". Cool, no problem. I sat outside, played some Candy Crush, chatted with other owners...and then I checked the time. 9:35am. An hour after check-in. So I call the front desk, thinking I'm probably next to be called, no biggie. Nope, two more people in front of me. I confirm again that I definitely can't make an appointment and I'm told "well during the week it's much slower". Well naturally. Because people, like me, work. But thanks for the tip. I just can't justify spending more time waiting at the vet than I do my own doctor's office. Super disappointed.

We were so frustrated with our old vet. Powder Springs Animal Clinic got us in the same day for our dog Bugsy! He got diagnosed as Diabetic in April and was not controlled. Dr. Khan and Jamie took time with us to go over diet and increasing the insulin. I felt they worked with us, instead of telling us what we "had" to do. The vet visit was less expensive, and we bought Bugsy's food through the vet. The food is Hills Prescription Diet and he loves it! He also seems much more satisfied. I was afraid we could not afford the cost, but it was very reasonable. We are so happy with them, that we are moving all of our dogs (3) to their vet practice. Thanks to all of you!

This vets office deserves more than 5 stars! The office is very clean and the staff is amazing. We brought a pregnant kitten (probably 6 months old) into our home so she could have her kittens in a safe, clean environment. Mommy had 4 kittens, after caring for them for the recommended 12 weeks, we called rescue groups, we called different vets offices, we called friends, and family, still we could only find two of these wonderful kittens a home. A family member recommended we contact Powder Springs Vet Clinic, we sent them an email with the pictures of our kittens and the mommy cat, the staff responded very quickly to our email, after chatting back and forth, they told us that between them and a rescue group that could help us get them spayed, neutered, and vaccinated if we would want to keep mommy and her two left over kittens. We had already fallen in love with all of them including the ones that had found homes, so of course we told them yes! A couple days later we got to bring all of our kitties home spayed, neutered, and vaccinated. Their recovery did not take long and they are happy as ever! I love this vet's office and I would recommend them to anyone! We am so appreciative of their help and it truly was a blessing!

In my experience, they aren't as experienced as I once thought. My dog was sick and they ran all these tests and then gave her some medication that didn't work. I took my pup to another clinic that didn't have to run as many tests and solved the problem. The sickness cleared up in a week with the medication they prescribed. They also are not helpful. I called about my dog, giving them another try, about her reproductive health and her vaginal area and they tell me, I have to bring her in and can't discuss medical information over the phone. Are you serious? All these clinics want to do is run unnecessary tests and charge you for procedures you don't even need. I just want to help my little frenchie and have a clear idea about how to help her. I could look up information online, but you can't help me over the phone? Ridiculous. Bad service.

Started going several years ago for the 50% off shots that is offered every June. Learned they had a groomer so started taking my girl in about every 6 weeks and Cindy does a great job. Plus, when I take her for grooming in June, she gets her annual shots while there, so no additional office visit necessary. On the rare occasion that I have to take my pup to see Dr. Kahn, I've always been very pleased. Everyone I've encountered there have been great.
